Pritzker Enacts Law to Expand Protections for Illegal Immigrants in Illinois.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) signed HB 1312, a bill aimed at shielding illegal immigrants from deportation and limiting civil immigration enforcement in certain state institutions.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor J.B. Pritzker, community advocates, White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The bill was signed on Tuesday at Little Village in Chicago, Illinois.

💬KEY QUOTE: “With my signature today, we are protecting people and institutions that belong here in Illinois.” – Gov. Pritzker

🎯IMPACT: The law creates new protections for illegal immigrants, restricts civil arrests near courthouses, and imposes privacy rules on institutions such as hospitals and universities.

IN FULL

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) signed HB 1312 on Tuesday at Chicago’s Little Village. The radical law aims to shield illegal immigrants from deportation by limiting civil immigration enforcement at courthouses, hospitals, day cares, and university campuses. It also allows people to sue officers if they believe their constitutional rights were violated.

“With my signature today, we are protecting people and institutions that belong here in Illinois. Dropping your kid off at day care, going to the doctor, or attending your classes should not be a life-altering task,” Gov. Pritzker said in a press release. The governor also used the bill signing to criticize  President Donald J. Trump and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, claiming they appealed to “lesser instincts.”

The law prohibits civil arrests in and around courthouses for those attending certain state proceedings. It also strengthens privacy rules at hospitals, requiring policies governing interactions with law enforcement, and restricts universities and day care centers from sharing immigration status unless required by law. Institutions are required to adopt protocols for handling federal agents by early 2026.

Critics of the bill, including White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson, slammed the move. “If Pritzker the Slob focused on fixing crime in his own state instead of defending criminal illegal aliens, Illinois residents would be much safer,” Jackson said in a statement. She added that cracking down on crime and deporting criminal illegal immigrants “should not be a partisan issue.”

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also criticized the legislation, stating that it violates the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution. “By signing this law, Pritzker violated the Supremacy Clause, his oath he took as Governor to ‘support the Constitution of the United States,’” McLaughlin said.

Trump Blasts ‘Disaster’ Sadiq Khan, Says He Owes Mayoralty to Mass Migration.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump criticized London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan, calling him a “disaster” who owes his position to mass migration.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, Mayor Khan, and London residents.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Trump’s comments were published on December 9, 2025, in POLITICO.

💬KEY QUOTE: “He’s a disaster. He’s a disaster. He’s got a totally different ideology to what he’s supposed to have.” – Donald Trump

🎯IMPACT: A spokesman for Khan, who has smeared Trump as racist, Islamophobic, and so on for years, called the America First leader’s latest remarks “appalling and bigoted.”

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump has said that Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan, of Britain’s governing Labour Party, owes his office to mass migration. Speaking to POLITICO, the America First leader called Khan a “a horrible mayor… an incompetent mayor… he’s a horrible, vicious, disgusting mayor.”

“I think he’s done a terrible job. London’s a different place. I love London. I love London. And I hate to see it happen,” Trump continued, saying of Khan: “He’s got a totally different ideology to what he’s supposed to have… he gets elected because so many people have come in. They vote for him now because you know, it’s like… it’s one of those things.”

Trump also criticized European leaders more broadly, accusing “politically correct” politicians of refusing to deport illegal migrants and allowing cities such as London and Paris, France, to lose their traditional identity.

Notably, London is only around one-third White British, according to the last official census, and over 40 percent of the city’s residents were born overseas. In some London boroughs, such as Tower Hamlets, residents are complaining that their Bangladeshi heritage elected officials are not performing their duties adequately because they are preoccupied with parallel political careers in Bangladesh.

A spokesman for Mayor Khan condemned the remarks as “appalling and bigoted.” Khan, a son of Pakistani immigrants, has long championed increased immigration, claiming it is benefits the economy despite strong evidence that most lower-immigrant migrant workers are a net drain on the public finances, with migrants who do not work being an even bigger drain.

Khan has a long history of accusing Trump of racism, sexism, and so-called Islamophobia, and backed a campaign to block a state visit during Trump’s first term.

DHS Unveils ‘Worst of the Worst’ Webpage Spotlighting Migrants’ Heinous Crimes.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched a “Worst of the Worst” webpage to display information on criminal illegal immigrants arrested under the Trump administration.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: DHS, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announced Monday; site available online.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Today, we launched a ‘worst of the worst’ website so every American can see for themselves the criminal illegal aliens that we are arresting, what crimes they committed, and which communities we removed them from.” – Tricia McLaughlin

🎯IMPACT: The webpage provides transparency on arrests, counters media narratives, and highlights criminal activity by illegal immigrants.

IN FULL

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) unveiled a new “Worst of the Worst” webpage on Monday that publicly lists criminal illegal immigrants arrested during the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement operations. The site lets the public search hundreds of thousands of cases nationwide, spotlighting migrants with serious convictions, including for murder, sexual assault, child molestation, drug trafficking, and gang activity.

“While Americans across the country were enjoying their weekends and holiday shopping, ICE law enforcement was hard at work arresting pedophiles, gang members, and drug traffickers,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said. “This holiday season, make sure to thank law enforcement officers for all they do to make America safe again.”

The page launches with details on 10,000 arrests and will be updated regularly. DHS says the initiative, led by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, delivers on President Donald J. Trump’s pledge to prioritize the removal of the most dangerous offenders.

Trump officials accuse corporate media outlets of downplaying the criminal records of those arrested: “As the media whitewashes the facts, day in and day out, our brave men and women of ICE risk their lives for the American people,” McLaughlin stated. “Americans don’t have to rely on the press for this information—with this transparent tool, they can see for themselves what public safety threats were lurking in their neighborhoods and communities.”

ICEBlock App Files Lawsuit Against Trump Admin for ‘Censorship.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The developer of ICEBlock, an app that tracks U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, has sued the Trump administration for supposed free speech violations after Apple removed the app from its store under government pressure.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: ICEBlock developer Joshua Aaron, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Apple, and the Trump administration.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The lawsuit was filed on Monday in Washington, D.C., following Apple’s removal of the app in October.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We view that as an admission that she engaged in coercion in her official role as a government official to get Apple to remove this app,” said lawyer Noam Biale.

🎯IMPACT: If successful, the lawsuit could see ICEBlock, used to evade and potentially ambush ICE agents, returned to Apple’s app store.

IN FULL

The creator of ICEBlock—an iPhone app that lets users anonymously report and receive alerts about nearby Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity—has sued the Trump administration, claiming it violated the First Amendment. The legal action comes after Apple pulled the app from its App Store in October, which the developer says happened only after direct pressure from the White House.

Attorney General Pam Bondi openly acknowledged the administration’s involvement, saying, “We reached out to Apple today demanding they remove the ICEBlock app from their App Store—and Apple did so.” ICEBlock represents a safety threat to ICE agents, not only helping illegal immigrants evade law enforcement but also potentially providing intelligence for ambush attacks.

The developer’s attorney, Noam Biale, said of Bondi’s comments, “We view that as an admission that she engaged in coercion in her official role as a government official to get Apple to remove this app.”

Developer Joshua Aaron denies the app endangers agents, insisting the tool is peaceful and meant only to share information. “It was just the best idea I had to do everything I could to fight back against what was going on,” Aaron said, calling the administration’s commitment to deporting illegal immigrants, including pedophiles and other dangerous criminals, “abhorrent.”

ICEBlock can no longer be downloaded from Apple’s store, though people who already installed it can still use it. Aaron says the lawsuit aims to get the app reinstated and to deter similar takedowns in the future. “We will take it as far as it needs to go to ensure this never happens again,” Aaron said.

Supreme Court to Decide Constitutionality of Birthright Citizenship.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S. Supreme Court will decide on President Donald J. Trump’s plan to end automatic birthright citizenship.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, Solicitor General D. John Sauer, and the Supreme Court justices.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The announcement was made on Friday, with arguments likely to take place in April and a decision expected by the end of June.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment was adopted to grant citizenship to freed slaves and their children, not to the children of illegal aliens, birth tourists, and temporary visitors.” – D. John Sauer

🎯IMPACT: The decision could redefine birthright citizenship and affect immigration policy in the U.S.

IN FULL

The Supreme Court is set to rule on President Donald J. Trump’s initiative to end automatic birthright citizenship for children born on U.S. soil, a move that has sparked significant debate and legal challenges. The justices announced their decision to take up the case, with arguments anticipated in April and a ruling expected by the end of June.

“The Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment was adopted to grant citizenship to freed slaves and their children, not to the children of illegal aliens, birth tourists, and temporary visitors,” Solicitor General D. John Sauer wrote in a court filing on behalf of the Trump administration. He added: “Yet, long after the Clause’s adoption, the mistaken view that birth on U.S. territory confers citizenship on anyone subject to the regulatory reach of U.S. law became pervasive, with destructive consequences.”

President Trump, shortly after his inauguration, signed an Executive Order aimed at denying U.S. citizenship to children of illegal immigrants and foreigners on temporary visas. The administration argued that the order was necessary to deter illegal immigration and “birth tourism.”

However, the policy was immediately met with legal challenges. In July, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court ruling that found the birthright citizenship order unconstitutional, citing an 1898 Supreme Court decision that has long been interpreted as ensuring citizenship to nearly everyone born in the U.S. Subsequently, the Department of Justice filed an appeal with the Supreme Court.

Trump Admin Mandates Visa Checks for Foreign Tech Workers Tied to Censorship Efforts.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S. State Department has issued new guidelines directing consular officers to screen foreign tech workers for records of censorship or silencing lawful expression before granting H-1B visas.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. consular officers, foreign tech workers, and the State Department.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The guidance was distributed to U.S. embassies on December 2, according to Reuters.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If you uncover evidence an applicant was responsible for, or complicit in, censorship or attempted censorship of protected expression in the United States, you should pursue a finding that the applicant is ineligible.” — State Department memo

🎯IMPACT: The new rules could significantly affect foreign tech workers, particularly in sectors like social media and financial services, as well as companies relying on H-1B visas.

IN FULL

The U.S. Department of State circulated a cable this week directing U.S. consular officials to screen foreign H-1B applicants in the tech industry to determine if they’ve participated in efforts to suppress free speech. According to the memo, consular officers are to reject visa applications for individuals found to have ties to online content or political censorship.

Issued on December 2, the order appears to be part of the Trump administration’s sweeping reforms to U.S. immigration policy. H-1B visa eligibility requirements have not previously taken into consideration an applicant’s involvement in censorship and speech suppression operations.

Consular officials are instructed to review the resumes, social media profiles, and other documents submitted by visa applicants for evidence that they or their family members have worked for organizations specializing in combating so-called disinformation, online safety compliance, content moderation, or fact-checking. “If you uncover evidence an applicant was responsible for, or complicit in, censorship or attempted censorship of protected expression in the United States, you should pursue a finding that the applicant is ineligible,” the State Department order states.

The U.S. tech industry draws a significant part of its workforce from the H-1B program, which allows American companies to hire supposedly high-skilled labor from foreign countries. However, the visa program is often abused by firms to import cheap labor, particularly from India, which often undercuts the wages of American workers.

The National Pulse reported in late May that Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the department would adopt a new policy to block U.S. entry for foreign officials and their families involved in censoring Americans or interfering with U.S. tech companies.

ICE Captures Violent Somali Criminals in Major Minnesota Enforcement Operation.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Federal immigration authorities arrested violent Somali offenders, including a gang member and a pedophile, in a targeted operation in Minneapolis.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Abdulkadir Sharif Abdi, Sahal Osman Shidane, and Minnesota sanctuary leaders.

📍WHEN & WHERE: This week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Sanctuary policies and politicians like Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey allowed these pedophiles, domestic terrorists, and gang members to roam the streets and terrorize Americans,” said Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

🎯IMPACT: Several violent offenders were removed from the streets, and attention has been drawn to alleged fraud and misuse of taxpayer funds in Minnesota.

IN FULL

The Trump administration’s immigration enforcement actions in Minnesota this week saw an estimated 500 Somali nationals with standing deportation orders arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Among those detained by ICE agents were a number of Somali gang members and one Somali convicted of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Around 100 ICE agents deployed to the state by President Donald J. Trump took part in the immigration enforcement operation.

Notable apprehensions include Abdulkadir Sharif Abdi, a former member of the Gangster Disciples and current member of the Vice Lord Nation gang. A criminal illegal immigrant from Somalia, Abdi has prior convictions for fraud, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft, and multiple probation violations, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Another illegal Somali arrested by ICE was Sahal Osman Shidane, convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor aged 13-15. The enforcement operation also saw Rudy Arendondo Jarillo, an illegal immigrant from Mexico previously convicted on felony human smuggling charges, taken into custody.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin criticized Minnesota’s sanctuary policies, stating, “Sanctuary policies and politicians like Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey allowed these pedophiles, domestic terrorists, and gang members to roam the streets and terrorize Americans.” She further emphasized, “ICE law enforcement are risking their lives to protect Minnesotans while their own elected officials sit by and do nothing. No matter when and where, ICE will find, arrest, and deport ALL criminal illegal aliens.”

The Trump administration has also focused on Minnesota following reports of widespread fraud tied to the state’s Somali population. Allegations include the theft of billions in taxpayer funds, with money funneled through fake nonprofits and shell companies, some reportedly linked to Somali terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

Trump Admin Fears NATO Allies Will Become Disloyal Partners as Mass Migration Turns Them ‘Majority Non-European.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A U.S. National Security Strategy document has raised concerns about European NATO members potentially becoming “majority non-European” and ceasing to be reliable allies in the future.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The strategy outlines President Donald J. Trump’s foreign policy priorities.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The 33-page document was released on December 4.

🎯IMPACT: The report raises questions about future NATO loyalty to the United States.

IN FULL

The U.S. National Security Strategy released this week argues that demographic changes within Europe could, over time, reshape the political landscape of NATO. The document warns that some allied nations are projected to become “majority non-European,” which may eventually affect how those countries view their long-standing partnerships with America. According to the strategy, this shift could raise doubts about whether future European governments will approach the alliance in the same way as the original signatories of the NATO charter.

The 33-page report places heavy emphasis on mass migration, both into the United States and Europe. It frames population movements as a strategic concern, linking long-term demographic change to questions of national cohesion and geopolitical alignment. While focused primarily on U.S. security priorities, the text highlights migration trends in Europe as one factor that could alter alliances if political identities continue to shift.

These concerns echo a series of warnings from President Donald J. Trump and his administration, who have frequently criticized Europe’s migration policies. Throughout 2025, Trump repeatedly argued that uncontrolled mass migration was reshaping the continent in ways that threatened its cultural foundations. In a July interview, he said that Europe was being killed by immigration and declared, “You’re not going to have Europe anymore,” describing the influx as a “horrible invasion.”

In November, Trump praised Hungary’s hard-line immigration approach to immigration as migrants were “flooding Europe” elsewhere and driving up crime rates. He contrasted Hungary’s policies with those of Western European governments, insisting that countries enforcing strict border controls were preserving “what Europe should be.”

Around the same time, officials in the Trump administration issued additional warnings to U.S. allies, arguing that large-scale migration posed an “existential threat to the West” and would erode shared cultural and political foundations if not addressed.

Jihad al-Shamie

Man Linked to Synagogue Jihadist Officially Charged with Terrorism.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Mohammad Bashir, 31, has been charged in Britain with four terrorism offenses, including assisting an attacker with reconnaissance and sharing material online encouraging terrorism.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Mohammad Bashir, deceased terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie, and Counter Terrorism Policing North West.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Arrested at Manchester Airport, England, on November 27; charges relate to an attack on Heaton Park Synagogue on October 2.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Our prosecutors have concluded there is sufficient evidence to charge Mohammad Bashir with one offence of preparation of terrorist acts and three offences of sharing terrorist publications with Al-Shamie and others with the intent to encourage acts of terrorism.” – Chief Crown Prosecutor Frank Ferguson.

🎯IMPACT: Bashir is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to face charges.

IN FULL

Mohammad Bashir, 31, has been charged in Britain with four terrorism offenses after being arrested at Manchester Airport on November 27, the British Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced on December 4. Police allege Bashir aided deceased Syrian migrant Jihad Al-Shamie, responsible for the deadly attack on Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on October 2, by helping with earlier reconnaissance of a British defence facility. The charges also include sharing material online intended to encourage acts of terrorism.

Prosecutors said the assistance Bashir is accused of providing was “not linked to the attack itself.” He was charged with one count of preparation of terrorist acts and three counts of disseminating terrorist publications. He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

The synagogue attack occurred on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Al-Shamie drove a car into congregants outside the synagogue before launching a knife attack and later attempted to force entry into the building. Police shot him dead after he was found to be wearing what turned out to be a fake suicide belt. Two worshippers, Melvin Cravitz, 66, and Adrian Daulby, 53, were killed; three others were seriously injured.

During the attack, Al-Shamie reportedly phoned emergency services and pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, according to counterterrorism investigators. Police said he had not previously been known to security services. At the time of the attack, he was on bail over an alleged rape.

Bashir, who identifies as British Pakistani, remains in custody ahead of his court appearance. Authorities said the wider investigation into the synagogue attack remains ongoing and asked anyone with information to come forward.

The DOJ Is Investigating This College for Spending Taxpayer Money on Illegal Immigrants, Punishing Whistleblowers.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division has launched an investigation into the College of DuPage (COD) for allegedly using taxpayer funds to support illegal immigrants and punishing students who speak out against it.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, the DOJ, the College of DuPage, and students allegedly affected by the college’s policies.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The investigation was launched on December 2, 2025, and pertains to actions at the College of DuPage, Illinois, following reports received by the DOJ in recent months.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Reports allege that COD illegally provides public tax support for illegal aliens and unconstitutionally punishes students who speak out about this illicit practice.” – Harmeet Dhillon

🎯IMPACT: The DOJ has warned that federal funding could be pulled from public institutions found to be unlawfully aiding illegal immigrants.

IN FULL

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division has opened an investigation into the College of DuPage in Illinois, following reports that the institution is using taxpayer funds to support illegal immigrants and penalizing students who oppose these actions. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon outlined the allegations in a formal notice to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem and Education Secretary Linda McMahon.

According to Dhillon, the college has allegedly provided resources and support to illegal immigrants, including an “Undocumented Student Liaison” dedicated to assisting them. The college’s website also reportedly offers a Frequently Asked Questions section that appears to guide readers on evading immigration enforcement.

The College of DuPage, the largest public community college in Illinois, has been accused of violating the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA), which restricts illegal immigrants from accessing most taxpayer-funded benefits. Additionally, the college is alleged to have provided alternate Social Security numbers to illegal immigrants to access taxpayer benefits.

The letter further claims that the college is in violation of 8 USC 1373 by allegedly providing staff and students with information on how to obstruct immigration enforcement actions. Earlier this year, the DOJ announced that federal funding would be withdrawn from public institutions found to be unlawfully aiding illegal immigrants.

“Reports allege that COD illegally provides public tax support for illegal aliens and unconstitutionally punishes students who speak out about this illicit practice,” Dhillon wrote, formally referring the allegations to the Departments of Homeland Security and Education for investigation.
