WATCH: Top House Dem Bizarrely Claims Founding Fathers Were ‘Undocumented Immigrants.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) bizarrely claimed that Thomas Paine, a Founding Father, was an “undocumented immigrant” during a congressional subcommittee hearing on Wednesday.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Rep. Jamie Raskin, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), and members of the Subcommittee on Constitution and Limited Government.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Wednesday, during a Subcommittee on Constitution and Limited Government hearing.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I didn’t say he was an illegal immigrant, I said he was an undocumented immigrant, just like Thomas Jefferson’s family was.” – Rep Jamie Raskin

🎯IMPACT: The comments sparked debate over American history and immigration at the hearing.

IN FULL

A top House Democrat is claiming America’s Founding Fathers were mostly “undocumented” immigrants, in a bizarre attempt to undermine a Republican hearing regarding the effects of the 1982 Supreme Court ruling in Plyler v. Doe, which determined that states cannot block illegal immigrant children from attending school, citing the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) described American revolutionary pamphleteer Thomas Paine, the author of Common Sense, as an “undocumented immigrant” during his opening remarks during the Subcommittee on Constitution and Limited Government hearing on Wednesday.

“I want to start by invoking Tom Paine, who was an undocumented immigrant who came to this land in 1774, two years before the revolution and wrote Common Sense, the pamphlet that ignited the American Revolution,” Raskin said. “And he said that this land, if it lives up to its ideals and its promise, would become an ‘asylum to humanity,’ he said. Not an insane asylum, but a place of refuge for people seeking freedom from religious and political, intellectual, and economic persecution from all over the world.”

The rabidly anti-Trump Democrat lawmaker further asserted that Thomas Jefferson descended from “a long line of undocumented immigrants both on his mother’s side and his father’s side to the country.”

The claims prompted Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to interject, “I was just curious, Chairman [Chip Roy (R-TX)], the ranking member [Raskin] said, I think his opening sentence was Thomas Paine was an illegal immigrant. My understanding was Mr. Paine was born in the UK, came to America, then a British colony, in 1774. So I was just struggling how he was…” He was then cut off by Raskin, who replied, “I didn’t say he was an illegal immigrant, I said he was an undocumented immigrant, just like Thomas Jefferson’s family was. Most of our ancestors did not arrive here with documents.”

The shift in Democrat rhetoric regarding America’s Founding Fathers is curious. Over the last several years, the party has pandered to its far-left base by pushing to remove America’s revolutionary leaders from public spaces, including an attempt to take down statues of Founding Fathers like George Washington displayed in New York City.

MIGRANT WELFARE RANKINGS: Guess Which Groups Cost YOU The Most to Host?

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A new report released by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) sheds critical light on the scope of American welfare benefits accessed by noncitizens, revealing surprising variation by country and level of educational attainment.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Noncitizen households—including both permanent legal residents and illegal immigrants, American taxpayers, and the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The study was released on March 18, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Although most new legal immigrants and illegal immigrants are barred from accessing most means-tested programs, these restrictions have not prevented a large share of noncitizen-headed households from accessing the welfare system.” — CIS

🎯IMPACT: According to the data, 47 percent of households headed by a noncitizen—both permanent legal residents and illegal immigrants—utilize at least one government-funded welfare program. This number jumps to 54 percent when including refundable tax credits, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC).

IN FULL

A new report released by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) sheds critical light on the scope of American welfare benefits accessed by noncitizens, revealing surprising variation by country and level of educational attainment. According to the data, 47 percent of households headed by a noncitizen—both permanent legal residents and illegal immigrants—utilize at least one government-funded welfare program. This number jumps to 54 percent when including refundable tax credits, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC). For native-born Americans, the percentages are 28 percent and 31 percent, respectively.

“Although most new legal immigrants and illegal immigrants are barred from accessing most means-tested programs, these restrictions have not prevented a large share of noncitizen-headed households from accessing the welfare system,” CIS explains, continuing, “This is primarily because non-citizens often receive benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children and the restrictions only apply to some programs. These facts coupled with the large share of noncitizens who have modest levels of education and their resulting low incomes mean many can use means-tested anti-poverty programs.”

Households headed by noncitizens from Afghanistan are the top beneficiaries of American welfare programs. The CIS report shows that 82 percent of Afghan immigrant households are dependent on traditional government welfare assistance. This number rises to a stunning 87 percent when the EITC and ACTC are included.

After Afghanistan, noncitizens originating from the Dominican Republic are the next largest welfare users. Next in line, 78 percent of Dominican households rely on either traditional welfare programs or refundable tax credits. Similarly, 77 percent of households headed by noncitizens from Guatemala are reliant on the same.

The lowest welfare use among noncitizen households is by those headed by individuals from South Korea, the United Kingdom, Canada, and India, respectively. Other national origin groups falling below the average welfare use for all noncitizens are Venezuela, Brazil, the Philippines, and China.

When broken down by region, Central American noncitizens are the most likely to use welfare, with 74 percent utilizing government aid programs or refundable tax credits. Interestingly, immigrants from South Asia are the only regional group to utilize welfare programs less than native-born Americans, with just 19 percent benefiting from both traditional and non-traditional government assistance. Noncitizen households headed by individuals of European origin, meanwhile, are nearly on par with native-born Americans, with just 34 percent accessing refundable tax credits or traditional welfare programs.

House Panel Summons Soros-Backed Prosecutor for Releasing Violent Migrants.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: House Republicans have summoned two top Fairfax County law enforcement officials, including a prosecutor backed by George Soros, for a hearing on the consequences of sanctuary-style policies after violent crimes involving illegal immigrants released from custody raised federal concerns.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Ann Kincaid, Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Steven Descano, and House Judiciary Committee members, including Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock (R-CA).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The hearing is scheduled for April 15 at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill. The officials have until Monday to confirm their attendance.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The hearing will examine how state and local policies that prohibit cooperation with federal immigration authorities hurt public safety,” wrote Jordan and McClintock in their letters.

🎯IMPACT: The case highlights growing scrutiny on sanctuary policies, particularly those that prioritize illegal immigrants over public safety.

IN FULL

House Republicans are summoning two of Fairfax County, Virginia’s top law enforcement officials to testify at an Immigration Integrity, Security and Enforcement Subcommittee hearing on April 15, entitled “Fairfax County, Virginia – The Dangerous Consequences of Sanctuary City Policies.” Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock (R-CA) issued letters late Tuesday to Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Ann Kincaid and Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Steven Descano, requesting their testimony, with a deadline of next Monday to respond.

“The hearing will examine how state and local policies that prohibit cooperation with federal immigration authorities hurt public safety,” Jordan and McClintock wrote, adding, “Your testimony will assist the Committee and Subcommittee in developing legislative reforms to address sanctuary jurisdictions.”

Descano, whose campaigns have reportedly received over $700,000 from organizations backed by George Soros, has faced scrutiny for dropping charges against illegal immigrants, including Salvadoran national Marvin Morales-Ortez. Morales-Ortez was released despite a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer and later allegedly murdered a man in Reston, Virginia.

Even more recently, Descano’s office has faced backlash over its failure to pursue charges against Abdul Jalloh, a 32-year-old illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone with an extensive criminal history, including over 30 arrests. Among Jalloh’s prior criminal counts are rape, malicious wounding, assault, drug possession, identity theft, and more, but charges against him were frequently dropped by Descano’s office. In late February, Jalloh stabbed 41-year-old Stephanie Minter to death at a bus stop along Richmond Highway in Fairfax County, and is currently facing a charge of murder.

Meanwhile, the Fairfax County Police Department and Sheriff’s Office are restricted from cooperating with ICE under policies enacted by the Democratic-controlled county government. “Fairfax County does not and will not enforce civil federal immigration laws,” the county website states.

Trump Admin Imposes $15,000 Visa Bond on Foreign Nationals from 12 Countries.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a visa bond requirement for applicants from 12 countries, with bonds reaching up to $15,000.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Secretary of State Marco Rubio and applicants from Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Grenada, Lesotho, Mauritius, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, and Tunisia.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The bond will take effect on April 2, as announced on Wednesday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The law gives us the right, and in fact I would argue the obligation, to remove people like that from our country. And we’re going to continue to do it. I mean, it’s as simple as that.” – Marco Rubio

🎯IMPACT: A total of 50 countries now face the visa bond requirement, impacting regions across Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, and Central Asia.

IN FULL

The U.S. State Department will impose visa bond requirements of up to $15,000 for applicants originating from 12 countries. According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the bonds will take effect on April 2 and apply to visa applications filed by foreign nationals from Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Grenada, Lesotho, Mauritius, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, and Tunisia.

“Our visa system—who you allow to visit your country should reflect the national interest! We said that from the very beginning,” Sec. Rubio said when announcing the move on Wednesday. He added, “The law gives us the right, and in fact I would argue the obligation, to remove people like that from our country. And we’re going to continue to do it. I mean, it’s as simple as that.”

Notably, the United States already imposes bond requirements on visa applicants from 38 countries. The 12 new countries will now bring that total to 50, spanning much of Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, and Central Asia.

The visa bond policy is part of broader efforts to ensure compliance with U.S. immigration rules and to address overstays by foreign nationals—particularly applicants originating from countries with high rates of non-compliance with U.S. visa laws. The measure is expected to impact thousands of applicants from the affected regions.

WATCH: Farage Warns Talented Britons Are Leaving the Country and Being Replaced by Afghan Goat Herders.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Nigel Farage voiced concerns about young Britons leaving the country and being replaced by foreign goat herders at a rally in Buckinghamshire, England.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform Party, British emigrants, and Afghan migrants.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, at a rally in the Buckinghamshire city of Milton Keynes, England.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Our young, brilliant people are leaving the country [and] being replaced by goat herders from Afghanistan.” – Nigel Farage

🎯IMPACT: Farage’s comments highlight concerns about native talent loss and mass migration in the United Kingdom.

IN FULL

Nigel Farage, the leader of Britain’s Reform Party, raised alarms over the emigration of young, talented Britons and their replacement by foreign peasants at an election rally in Milton Keynes, England. “Our young, brilliant people are leaving the country. As hundreds of thousands leave, talented people, taxpayers, entrepreneurs, business types… frankly, they’re being replaced by goat herders from Afghanistan,” he told the crowd.

“Now, that comment will get me in trouble, but that’s OK. I’ve spent my whole life being in trouble,” he joked.

Net immigration to Britain in the year to June 2025 is currently estimated at around 204,000—historically high but down substantially from the “Boriswave” years under the formerly governing Conservative (Tory) Party post-pandemic, when it passed 900,0000.

However, the net influx is not down under the incumbent Labour Party chiefly due to any stringent immigration restrictions, but rather due to a massive increase in people leaving the country. Gross long-term immigration in the year to June 2025 is currently estimated at around 898,000, mitigated on paper by long-term emigration rising to 693,000.

Notably, Afghans are an especially problematic migrant community in Britain, being disproportionately dependent on welfare and publicly-funded housing, and the single-most grossly overrepresented nationality in sex crime statistics, with 59 arrests per 10,000 people, compared to just six arrests per 10,000 people among British citizens.

They are also the third-most overrepresented nationality for crimes of violence—behind Congolese and Somalis—with 102 arrests per 10,000 people, compared to 16 arrests per 10,000 people among British citizens.

School Restricts Lunch for All Students During Ramadan.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Canadian school implemented “food-free zones” in its cafeteria to support Muslim students observing Ramadan.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Fairview School in Calgary, Muslim students fasting for Ramadan, and the Calgary Board of Education.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The policy was introduced during Ramadan, which began February 17 and ends March 18, at Fairview School in Calgary, Canada.

💬KEY QUOTE: “To support students who may be fasting, we will be providing designated No Food Spaces during lunch.” – School email to parents.

🎯IMPACT: The decision faced criticism online, with many questioning the practicality and fairness of the policy.

IN FULL

Fairview School in Calgary, Canada, has introduced “food-free zones” in its cafeteria during Ramadan, when many Muslim students fast from dawn until sunset. The policy was shared with parents in an email explaining that it was meant to support those observing the fast.

The email stated: “To support students who may be fasting, we will be providing designated No Food Spaces during lunch.” Under the plan, students in Grades Four to Six cannot eat in the cafeteria during the first half of lunch, while those in Grades Seven to Nine are barred from eating in their lunchroom for the full hour. The policy quickly drew criticism online, with one user writing, “The true common sense solution would have been for the fasting students to avoid the cafeteria area.”

The Calgary Board of Education responded in a statement posted on Instagram, defending the move. It said, “During special cultural and religious observances, schools are able to make accommodations to support students, both in and out of classroom activities. This could include accommodations when students are fasting during Ramadan.” The board also claimed that “no changes have been made to these designated lunch areas,” despite the earlier email outlining the restrictions. Comments on the post were disabled.

In recent years, accommodations for Ramadan in the West have expanded beyond schools; the English soccer Premier League introduced Ramadan breaks, pausing matches to allow Muslim players to eat. The practice has been ongoing since 2021.

In 2024, a British government body even included “Hadiths of the Day” in London’s King’s Cross station during Ramadan. However, backlash led to the Hadiths, the sayings of the Prophet Mohammed, being removed.

Teamsters Back Trump, GOP Effort to Crack Down on Deadly Illegal Immigrant Truckers.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has endorsed the Safety and Accountability in Freight Enforcement (SAFE) Act, a GOP-led effort to address unsafe practices in the trucking industry and shut down so-called “chameleon carriers” that often employ illegal immigrant drivers.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien, Representative Harriet Hageman (R-WY), and other congressional Republicans.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The legislation was introduced recently in Congress and is gaining traction with support from labor unions and lawmakers.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Chameleon carriers have gone unchecked for decades, harming and weakening America’s trucking industry. These unscrupulous operators jeopardize the safety of everyone on our roadways.” — Sean O’Brien.

🎯IMPACT: If passed, the SAFE Act would help detect and eliminate fraudulent trucking companies, improving safety and protecting rule-abiding truckers.

IN FULL

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has announced its endorsement of the Safety and Accountability in Freight Enforcement (SAFE) Act, legislation introduced by Representative Harriet Hageman (R-WY), which aims to tackle the issue of “chameleon carriers,” trucking companies that repeatedly reopen under new identities to avoid enforcement after being shut down for violations. “Chameleon carriers have gone unchecked for decades, harming and weakening America’s trucking industry,” Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien stated, adding, “These unscrupulous operators jeopardize the safety of everyone on our roadways and threaten the livelihoods of truck drivers who follow the rules.”

American highways have seen a recent uptick in deadly vehicle accidents caused by illegal immigrant and noncitizen semi-truck drivers, many of whom received commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) from New York or California. The National Pulse reported in February that the Trump administration’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has shut down nearly 8,000 sham trucking schools in recent months as part of an effort to prevent illegal immigrant drivers from receiving CDL certifications. However, like fly-by-night trucking companies, these sham schools often reopen quickly under new names and false ownership.

Rep. Hageman’s SAFE Act would implement an automated tool to detect fraudulent carriers who have previously been shut down by regulators but are attempting to reopen under a new operating name and registration number, while still employing the same individuals and having the same ownership. If adopted, the bill would also enhance coordination between state and federal agencies, a key point of contention over several of the recent fatal crashes caused by illegal immigrants, with New York and California trying to blame federal databases for erroneously issued CDLs.

Importantly, the SAFE Act includes provisions to preserve due process, requiring human review for all registrations flagged. Rep. Hageman has emphasized the dangers posed by these companies, stating, “These companies game the system, ignore the law, and put American families at risk, all while punishing hardworking truckers who follow the rules.”

Another Illegal Alien Trucker Leaves a U.S. Citizen in Critical Condition.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: An illegal alien truck driver was accused of causing a crash that left a U.S. citizen in critical condition in Indianapolis, Indiana.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Sukhdev Singh, a 25-year-old illegal alien, and a U.S. citizen pedestrian.

📍WHEN & WHERE: March 6, at E Raymond Street and I-65 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It is common sense: illegal aliens should not be operating 18-wheelers on American highways.” – DHS Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis

🎯IMPACT: Renewed scrutiny on state policies allowing illegal immigrants to obtain commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs).

IN FULL

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Sukhdev Singh, an illegal immigrant truck driver accused of causing a crash that left a U.S. citizen in critical condition in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred on March 6 at E Raymond Street and I-65, where Singh allegedly struck a pedestrian.

Indiana State Police responded to the scene and took Singh into custody, contacting ICE when they discovered the truck driver was an illegal immigrant. ICE officials later confirmed Singh’s arrest and stated that he will remain in custody pending the outcome of his immigration proceedings. The victim was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition as of the latest update.

Singh, who held a commercial driver’s license (CDL) issued by Democrat-run New York, has drawn renewed attention to state policies regarding the issuance of CDLs to illegal immigrants. The National Pulse reported last December that U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Sean Duffy had warned New York it could lose $73 million in federal highway funding following a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) audit which revealed that 53 percent of sampled CDLs issued by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) were unlawfully granted to foreign nationals residing in the U.S. illegally.

In February, the Trump administration moved to shut down an estimated 8,000 sham truck driving schools that served as conduits for illegal immigrants to obtain CDLs. The FMCSA has found that, in that month alone, 550 CDL truck driving schools and training facilities violated its standards.

“It is common sense: illegal aliens should not be operating 18-wheelers on American highways,” Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement, continuing, “We are praying this individual makes a full recovery. It is incredibly dangerous for illegal aliens, who often don’t know our traffic laws or even English, to be operating 18-wheelers on America’s roads.”

“Sanctuary governors like Kathy Hochul must stop giving illegal aliens driver’s licenses before even more Americans get injured or killed,” Bis added.

New York Post Reveals How Migrants Are Voting in U.S. Elections.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A detailed investigation published by the New York Post reveals systemic failures in America’s voter registration and electoral system have allowed for hundreds of thousands of noncitizens to register as voters in U.S. elections.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Donald J. Trump, Representative Chip Roy (R-TX), Public Interest Legal Foundation president J. Christian Adams, and noncitizen voters.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The report was published on March 16, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I wish it were a conspiracy plot because it would be easier to bust. This is systemic failure.”  – J. Christian Adams

🎯IMPACT: President Donald J. Trump is pushing the SAVE America Act, legislation aiming to mandate proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration in federal elections. However, the bill is stalled in the Senate, unable to overcome a Democrat filibuster.

IN FULL

A detailed investigation published by the New York Post reveals systemic failures in America’s voter registration and electoral system that have allowed hundreds of thousands of noncitizens to register to vote in U.S. elections. While allegations of concerted efforts by Democrat-aligned nonprofits and electioneering groups seeking to register noncitizens have dominated headlines, The Post has found that government-sanctioned voter registration programs, a lack of election law enforcement, and a lack of awareness on the part of noncitizens are more often at fault for illegal registrations.

“At times, it’s an organic process of aliens getting sucked in unwittingly. Maybe they’d been whipping down Modelos [beers] at a festival, and they’re doing some guy a favor who is in their face with a clipboard. Or, they’re at the DMV and get these pop-up windows asking them to register. They think, ‘I must be allowed,’” J. Christian Adams, president of Public Interest Legal Foundation, explained. “I wish it were a conspiracy plot because it would be easier to bust. This is systemic failure.”

“It’s way worse than the left says, but it’s way better than some others say,” Adams suggested.

The breakdowns in election law and procedures meant to prevent noncitizens from registering to vote and casting ballots in American elections may occur primarily at the local level. Database glitches, human error, and negligence are most often cited as the cause for noncitizens appearing on voter rolls. This is compounded by a general lack of awareness and confusion among noncitizens, who, as Adams noted, are often presented with the option to register to vote when filing paperwork at their local DMV, despite this being illegal.

Concerningly, data published by Rasmussen Reports in 2024 suggests a significant number of noncitizens are voting in American elections in contravention of federal law. According to the pollster, 97 percent of noncitizens polled acknowledged having voted for a candidate in the 2020 presidential election. In one survey, Rasmussen Reports polled 2,466 likely U.S. voters, of whom 222 either stated they were noncitizens or did not know their citizenship status—meaning 10 percent of the sample had questionable voting eligibility.

The potential impact that noncitizen voters could have in U.S. elections—especially local contests or races with very narrow margins of victory—has become a top issue for American voters. Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pushing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act, legislation aiming to mandate proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration in federal elections.

Proponents, including President Donald J. Trump and Representative Chip Roy (R-TX), argue the measure is essential to protect election integrity. However, the bill is currently stalled in the Senate, unable to overcome a Democrat filibuster. Polling shows over 70 percent of voters support the SAVE Act, including half of Democrats.

Border Chief Ousted After Minnesota Climbdown, Greg Bovino, Retires.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Gregory Bovino, a prominent Border Patrol official, announced his retirement after nearly 30 years of service.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Gregory Bovino, Border Patrol agents, former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, and former White House Border Czar Tom Homan.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Bovino announced his retirement in March 2026, following his removal from Minnesota operations earlier in the year.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The greatest honor of my entire life was to work alongside Border Patrol agents on the border and in the interior of the United States in some of the most challenging conditions the agency has ever faced,” said Bovino.

🎯IMPACT: Bovino’s operations, including “Operation Trojan Horse” and “Operation Midway Blitz,” resulted in thousands of arrests and demonstrated innovative enforcement methods.

IN FULL

Former U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino is set to retire from the federal agency at the end of March 2026, capping a nearly 30-year career with the agency. Bovino expressed deep pride in his service, saying, “The greatest honor of my entire life was to work alongside Border Patrol agents on the border and in the interior of the United States in some of the most challenging conditions the agency has ever faced.”

He added, “Watching these agents out there giving it their all in some of the most dangerous of environments we have ever faced was humbling.” Bovino had been a central figure in President Donald J. Trump’s immigration enforcement initiatives, directing operations in major urban areas including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New Orleans. In Los Angeles, the “Operation Trojan Horse” effort resulted in more than 5,000 arrests, while “Operation Midway Blitz” in Chicago led to over 3,000 arrests. Bovino often deployed alongside agents in person, tangling with pro-illegal immigrant agitators hand-to-hand.

His departure follows his removal earlier this year from leading immigration enforcement activities in Minnesota. There, he had been collaborating with then-Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on a major operation that faced stiff resistance from anti-ICE agitators, two of whom, Alex Pretti and Renee Good, were fatally shot by federal agents during confrontations. Following these incidents, White House Border Czar Tom Homan replaced both Bovino and Noem in overseeing the Minnesota efforts, which were rapidly wound down, seemingly in deference to the demonstrators and state Democrats.

Bovino began his career in the El Centro Sector of California in 1996, and he currently holds the position of chief patrol agent there. He has not shared any details about his plans after leaving the agency.
