Texas Bans Land Purchases by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) signed into law a bill restricting property purchases by individuals or entities from adversarial nations.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and entities from nations like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Signed on June 20, effective September 1, in the state of Texas.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I signed SB 17 which is the toughest ban in America on preventing the sale of our land and other property to individuals and companies from China, Iran, North Korea & Russia.” – Gov. Greg Abbott

🎯IMPACT: The law aims to enhance national security by restricting property acquisitions from nations deemed adversarial.

IN FULL

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed Senate Bill 17 into law, which prohibits individuals or entities from nations deemed adversarial from purchasing land or property in the state. The law, signed on June 20, will go into effect on September 1. It specifically targets nations identified by the U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) as posing national security risks in recent Annual Threat Assessments.

“I signed SB 17 which is the toughest ban in America on preventing the sale of our land and other property to individuals and companies from China, Iran, North Korea & Russia,” Gov. Abbott announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The legislation highlights China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea as examples of adversarial nations listed in the 2025 Annual Threat Assessment. Under the law, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is authorized to investigate potential violations, which would be classified as felonies.

The bill applies to various types of property, including agricultural land, groundwater, mines or quarries, commercial and industrial properties, and residential properties. However, exemptions are made for U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and individuals legally residing in the U.S. who intend to purchase a primary residence.

Criticism has come primarily from immigrant interest groups—including Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC), which has lobbied against federal programs like the China Initiative cracking down on individuals tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)—who have expressed concern over potential racial profiling. The group stated that the bill “creates an overly broad net that places innocent foreign nationals at risk of racial profiling.”

Meanwhile, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D) vetoed a similar bill earlier in June, arguing that the legislation lacked clear implementation criteria and opened the door to arbitrary enforcement. “Today, I vetoed Senate Bill 1109. Improvements to systems that protect our infrastructure are important. However, this legislation is ineffective at counter-espionage and does not directly protect our military assets,” Hobbs said.

WHAT HAPPENED: An 82-year-old woman, Karen Diamond, has died following a Molotov cocktail attack by an illegal alien against a peaceful demonstration in Boulder, Colorado.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Karen Diamond, suspect Mohamed Soliman, and 28 other victims of the attack.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The attack took place on June 1, 2023, during a demonstration urging the release of Israeli hostages in front of the Boulder County Courthouse.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This horrific attack has now claimed the life of an innocent person who was beloved by her family and friends. Our hearts are with the Diamond family during this incredibly difficult time.” – Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty

🎯IMPACT: Mohamed Soliman now faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, federal hate crimes, and over 100 state criminal charges.

IN FULL

Karen Diamond, 82, has died from the severe injuries she sustained during a Molotov cocktail attack at a peaceful demonstration in Boulder, Colorado. The Boulder County District Attorney’s Office announced her death on Monday, along with additional charges against the suspect, Egyptian illegal alien Mohamed Soliman.

Soliman now faces two counts of first-degree murder related to Diamond’s death, in addition to 12 federal hate crimes and over 100 state criminal charges. “This horrific attack has now claimed the life of an innocent person who was beloved by her family and friends. Our hearts are with the Diamond family during this incredibly difficult time,” Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said in a statement. “Our office will fight for justice for the victims, their loved ones, and the community.”

The attack, described by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an “act of terror,” occurred on June 1, 2023, in front of the Boulder County Courthouse, where Soliman allegedly disguised himself as a gardener and threw Molotov cocktails at a group called Run for Their Lives. The group had been peacefully walking weekly for nearly two years to raise awareness about hostages taken during the Hamas terror raid against Israel on October 7, 2023.

According to authorities, Soliman shouted “Free Palestine!” during the attack, which he admitted to planning for over a year. The victims, ranging in age from 25 to 88, included 13 people who were physically injured. Diamond’s death brings the number of fatalities to two. The Boulder Jewish Community described Diamond as “a cherished member of our community, someone whose warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.”

Soliman faces charges including 52 counts of attempted first-degree murder, eight counts of first-degree assault, and 18 counts of attempted first-degree murder, among others. He pleaded not guilty to federal hate crimes on Friday and is scheduled to appear in state court on July 15.

Following the incident, President Donald J. Trump said, “Acts of Terrorism will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law. This is yet another example of why we must keep our Borders SECURE, and deport Illegal, Anti-American Radicals from our Homeland.”

Mayor Blames Hot Weather for Migrants Molesting Minors at Public Pool.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A group of underage girls was sexually assaulted by four Syrian migrant men at the Barbarossabad swimming pool in Gelnhausen, Germany.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Four Syrian men, aged 18 to 28, were arrested, and at least nine girls, aged 11 to 17, came forward as victims. A fifth suspect is still at large.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incidents occurred at the Barbarossabad swimming pool in Gelnhausen, Germany, during a hot summer day.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Of course, it’s always high temperatures, and sometimes tempers are frayed,” said Mayor Christian Litzinger, of the notionally right-wing Christian Democratic Union (CDU) formerly led by Angela Merkel.

🎯IMPACT: The suspects were arrested and banned from the pool. The incident highlights ongoing issues of violence and sexual assaults in German swimming pools linked to migrants.

IN FULL

In Gelnhausen, Germany, a group of underage girls was sexually assaulted at the Barbarossabad swimming pool by four Syrian nationals. The victims, aged between 11 and 17, reported being groped and molested in the lazy river area. Despite complaints to a lifeguard, no immediate action was taken, and the police were only called after multiple incidents were reported.

The suspects, aged 18 to 28, are reportedly from the same family in the Main-Kinzig district. They were arrested, charged, and banned from the pool. Mayor Christian Litzinger of the notionally center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU), formerly led by Angela Merkel, downplayed the assaults with reference to hot weather, saying, “Of course, it’s always high temperatures, and sometimes tempers are frayed.”

Alice Weidel, co-leader of the anti-mass migration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, called for immediate deportations of the suspects. “Sexual harassment of girls cannot be tolerated. Immediate deportations of the perpetrators must be initiated,” she wrote on social media in response to the incident.

This incident is part of a broader trend in Germany and neighboring European countries, which have seen an influx of Syrians. Swimming pools have increasingly become hotspots for violence and sexual assaults, and have now been an ongoing issue for years. Employees and officials have cited the involvement of migrant groups in many of these cases, leading to increased security measures, including the deployment of police at some facilities.

Previous years have seen swimming pool incidents, including mass brawls and attacks on lifeguards. Some pools have even been shut down indefinitely due to safety concerns. Critics have accused the media and officials of downplaying these incidents, with some attributing the violence to external factors such as hot weather or cultural differences.

DHS Is Paving the Way for the Deportation of 500,000 Haitians.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Haitian nationals currently under TPS.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announced Friday, takes effect September 2.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This decision restores integrity in our immigration system and ensures that Temporary Protective Status is actually temporary.” – DHS spokesman

🎯IMPACT: More than 500,000 Haitians with TPS are affected and encouraged to use DHS resources to return to Haiti.

IN FULL

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Friday announced the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians, which will take effect on September 2. A notice from DHS stated that Secretary Kristi Noem had determined the situation in Haiti no longer justified the continuation of TPS for migrants from the country. The decision was based on an assessment that environmental conditions in Haiti had improved sufficiently for safe return.

“This decision restores integrity in our immigration system and ensures that Temporary Protective Status is actually temporary,” a DHS spokesman said, adding: “The environmental situation in Haiti has improved enough that it is safe for Haitian citizens to return home. We encourage these individuals to take advantage of the Department’s resources in returning to Haiti, which can be arranged through the CBP Home app. Haitian nationals may pursue lawful status through other immigration benefit requests, if eligible.”

Currently, more than 500,000 Haitians hold TPS. Consequently, Sec. Noem’s decision clears the way for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to begin deportations after the September deadline. In the meantime, DHS is encouraging Haitians impacted by the TPS determination to utilize existing resources for their return to Haiti.

Haitians granted TPS by the former Biden government became a point of political contention during the 2024 election. Large numbers of Haitian nationals were settled in small towns across the United States, resulting in cultural clashes, increased crime, and consternation among American citizens.

This Adult Illegal Alien Lied His Way Into High School. Now He’s Facing Gun Charges.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A federal grand jury indicted a 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela, Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, on charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and lying about his age to enroll in high school.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, the Department of Justice (DOJ), Perrysburg Police Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

📍WHEN & WHERE: Labrador Sierra resided in Perrysburg, Ohio, and was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 75. The indictment came this week.

🎯IMPACT: If convicted, Labrador Sierra faces up to 15 years in prison for firearm possession, 10 years for false statements, and five years for document fraud.

IN FULL

Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on four counts, including possession of a firearm by an alien unlawfully in the U.S. and making false statements. Labrador Sierra had posed as a 16-year-old to attend high school in Perrysburg, Ohio, until his arrest last month.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) stated that Labrador Sierra submitted false information to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to obtain Temporary Protective Status (TPS) and Employment Authorization Documents in 2024 and 2025. He also allegedly falsified information on federal forms to purchase a Taurus G3C 9mm semiautomatic pistol, which he was prohibited from owning as an illegal alien.

Detectives discovered that Labrador Sierra, who enrolled in high school as a 16-year-old unaccompanied minor, was actually a 24-year-old man. He had used fraudulent documents to enroll and participate in school activities, including junior varsity soccer and swimming.

The school district confirmed that Labrador Sierra had been enrolled under federal and state guidelines for unaccompanied minors, obtaining a state-issued driver’s license and social security number during his time at Perrysburg High School. According to former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) frontman Elon Musk, millions of non-citizens received Social Security numbers last year.

Guardianship of Labrador Sierra had been granted to a Perrysburg family, who later discovered his true age and reported it to authorities.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that Labrador Sierra overstayed a visa after arriving in the U.S. in 2019. He was ultimately arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 75. Labrador Sierra now faces significant prison time if convicted of the charges brought against him.

Trump Is Launching a Visa Crackdown on Fentanyl Traffickers’ Families.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced new sanctions aimed at combating the flow of fentanyl into the United States.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, State Department spokesman Tommy Piggott, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, and law enforcement agencies.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announced Thursday, June 26, 2025, with actions spanning across the United States and its borders.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Today’s action expands upon existing tools… to deter and dismantle the flow of fentanyl and other illicit drugs from entering the United States and harming U.S. citizens.” – Marco Rubio.

🎯IMPACT: The sanctions aim to disrupt drug trafficking networks, reduce fentanyl-related deaths, and bolster national security.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump’s Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, announced new sanctions on Thursday targeting the flow of fentanyl into the United States. The policy includes visa restrictions on family members and close associates of foreign drug traffickers. Rubio described the measures as “necessary” to “deter and dismantle” the deadly drug trade.

State Department spokesman Tommy Piggott explained that the sanctions “will not only prevent them from entering the United States, but also serve as a deterrent for continued illicit activities.” Rubio emphasized the urgency of addressing the fentanyl crisis, noting that overdoses remain the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18 to 44.

“More than 40 percent of Americans reportedly know someone who has died from an opioid overdose,” Rubio stated, adding that the U.S. averages over 220 overdose deaths daily. The CDC reported that fentanyl was linked to 48,422 deaths in 2024 alone.

Attorney General Pam Bondi highlighted a major fentanyl bust earlier this year, where authorities seized over 400 kilos of fentanyl and arrested 16 individuals, including six illegal immigrants. Bondi described fentanyl as a weapon of “mass destruction” and issued a stern warning to traffickers, stating, “When we catch you… we will put you behind bars for as long as humanly possible.”

The new sanctions and law enforcement efforts build on President Donald J. Trump’s initiatives to combat fentanyl trafficking through increased border security and targeting cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). According to the Center for Immigration Studies, fentanyl seizures at the southern border have dropped significantly, signaling a potential decline in smuggling activities.

ICE Nets 130 Iranians in a Week.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 130 Iranian nationals in the past week as part of a nationwide crackdown on individuals considered potential security threats.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: ICE, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Iranian nationals, including individuals with alleged ties to terrorist organizations like the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hezbollah.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Nationwide arrests over the last seven days; additional arrests occurred earlier this month in nine major U.S. cities.

💬KEY QUOTE: “670 Iranian nationals are currently being held in ICE detention facilities nationwide.” – Reporter Bill Melugin.

🎯IMPACT: Federal agencies have heightened surveillance of possible sleeper cells, while DHS issued a national terrorism advisory warning of increased risks from foreign actors.

IN FULL

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reportedly arrested 130 Iranian nationals across the country within the last week as part of an intensified initiative to locate and detain individuals considered potential security threats following U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. It is currently believed that a total of 670 Iranian nationals are being held in ICE detention facilities nationwide.

According to multiple federal sources, the arrests are part of a broader national effort to identify and detain potential security threats after President Donald J. Trump ordered successful military strikes decimating Iran’s nuclear weapons program. This follows an earlier wave of arrests announced this week, during which 11 Iranian foreign nationals were detained in a 48-hour span across nine major U.S. cities.

Among those detained was Mehran Makari Sahel, arrested near St. Paul, Minnesota. Sahel is alleged to be a former member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a designated terrorist organization by the U.S., and reportedly admitted ties to Hezbollah. Another individual, Yousef Mehridehno, who had been living illegally in the U.S. for eight years and was placed on the Terror Watchlist in February, was apprehended in Mississippi. Additionally, Ribvar Karmi, an Iranian sniper who served in the Islamic Republic’s military from 2018 to 2021, was arrested in northern Alabama carrying an Islamic Republic of Iran Army identification card.

In addition to individuals with alleged terror ties, other Iranian nationals arrested during the sweep reportedly had criminal convictions ranging from grand larceny to firearm possession. Federal law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have ramped up surveillance of possible Iranian sleeper cells operating in the United States amid these developments.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a national terrorism advisory in response, warning of increased risks from foreign terrorist actors and their affiliates. Tensions remain high between the U.S. and Iran, with the Iranian regime issuing repeated threats since the 2020 killing of Qasem Soleimani, the IRGC’s top general, by a U.S. drone strike.

Trump Is Suing This State’s Entire Federal Judiciary for Obstructing Deportations.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a lawsuit against Maryland’s federal judiciary over an order that temporarily halts deportations of illegal immigrants who file legal challenges.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The DOJ, Maryland’s federal judges, Chief Judge George Russell, Judge Paula Xinis, and Governor Wes Moore (D).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The lawsuit was filed recently in response to a federal court order in Maryland.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This is just the latest action by [Attorney General Pam Bondi’s] DOJ to rein in unlawful judicial overreach.” – DOJ spokesman Chad Gilmartin.

🎯IMPACT: The legal battle highlights growing tensions between the executive branch and the judiciary over immigration enforcement and judicial activism.

IN FULL

The Department of Justice (DOJ) under the Trump administration has filed a lawsuit against Maryland’s federal judges, challenging an order that prevents the deportation of illegal immigrants for at least one day after they file legal challenges to their detention. The lawsuit specifically targets Chief Judge George Russell’s directive, which grants a temporary stay of deportation to detainees who claim wrongful detention.

Chad Gilmartin, spokesman for Attorney General Pam Bondi, stated on X, “This is just the latest action by [Attorney General Pam Bondi’s] DOJ to rein in unlawful judicial overreach.” The legal dispute underscores the administration’s broader efforts to assert control over immigration policy and push back against judicial interference.

The Maryland federal court recently became a focal point in immigration debates when Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an El Salvadoran national, was deported and later returned to the U.S. following a Supreme Court order. Abrego Garcia now faces charges of unlawfully trafficking illegal immigrants. Judge Paula Xinis, overseeing his case, is considering sanctions against government officials for initially refusing to release him from custody.

The Justice Department argues that such judicial orders represent an “unlawful, antidemocratic” use of power to restrain the executive branch. “A sense of frustration and a desire for greater convenience do not give defendants license to flout the law,” DOJ attorneys wrote in their filing. “Nor does their status within the judicial branch.”

The lawsuit has drawn criticism from Maryland’s Democratic Governor, Wes Moore, who called it “a transparent effort to intimidate judges and usurp the power of the courts.”

Trump Is Expanding Military Zones Along the Border to Stop Illegals.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Pentagon is expanding two new military zones at the southern border to further enhance border security.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Pentagon, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Border Patrol.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The expansion was reported on June 25, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The establishment of a second National Defense Area increases our operational reach and effectiveness in denying illegal activity along the southern border,” said U.S. Northern Command chief General Gregory Guillot.

🎯IMPACT: The move further strengthens the border as illegal crossing numbers rapidly decline under President Donald J. Trump.

IN FULL

The Pentagon is designating two new military zones along the southwestern border in Arizona and Texas, intensifying the Trump administration’s efforts to further secure the southern border with Mexico, amid a sharp drop in migrant crossings.

The new zones, officially National Defense Areas, will be patrolled by U.S. troops. One will be added to the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona, and the other to Joint Base San Antonio in Texas. Officials say illegal immigrants entering these zones will be treated as trespassers and may be detained by troops until Border Patrol arrives.

“The establishment of a second National Defense Area increases our operational reach and effectiveness in denying illegal activity along the southern border,” said U.S. Northern Command chief General Gregory Guillot.

These additions bring the total to four newly established military zones along the border. Previously in April, a 200-mile, 60-foot-wide strip along New Mexico was added to a military base. A 63-mile zone near Fort Bliss, Texas, was also recently designated.

Nearly 9,000 active-duty troops are now deployed at the border. The buildup includes surveillance aircraft and U.S. Navy ships offshore, under Joint Task Force–Southern Border, led by U.S. Northern Command. Ground forces include combat-seasoned troops from the Army’s Fourth Infantry Division.

ICE Has Detained a Record-Breaking Number of Illegals Under Trump.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Illegal immigration detention numbers under the Trump administration have reached record levels, with over 56,000 migrants currently detained.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Trump administration figures, including United States Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, have spearheaded the expansion of immigration enforcement efforts.

📍WHEN & WHERE: As of June 2025, detention numbers have surpassed prior records, with enforcement operations occurring nationwide.

🎯IMPACT: The detention surge has strained ICE’s budget, with the agency reportedly $1 billion over its annual allocation. However, Congressional Republicans are working to boost immigration enforcement funding through President Donald J. Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

IN FULL

Illegal immigration detention numbers in the United States have reached historic levels under President Donald J. Trump, with at least 56,000 migrants currently in custody. However, federal government data suggests the number could be as high as 59,000, significantly exceeding the agency’s capacity and surpassing previous records.

The administration has implemented aggressive enforcement tactics, including declaring an invasion by foreign gang members and invoking emergency powers to expedite deportations. The temporary protected status (TPS) abused by the Biden government to admit over 800,000 immigrants from countries like Cuba, Haiti, and Venezuela has been revoked, clearing the way for the deportation of even more illegal immigrants.

Stephen Miller, White House deputy chief of staff for policy, has pushed for an increase in daily arrests, aiming for 3,000 per day. Federal resources, including law enforcement agencies like the FBI and DEA, have been redirected to support immigration enforcement. Additionally, partnerships with local police departments have further bolstered these efforts.

However, ICE faces significant budgetary challenges, with reports suggesting the agency is $1 billion over its annual allocation and could run out of funds in the coming months. To meet the costs, President Trump and Congressional Republicans are looking to boost resources for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE through provisions in reconciliation legislation—known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill”—which will likely be taken up by the U.S. Senate later this week.
