NYT Dings MSNBC For Liberal, Pro-Biden Bias!?

NBCUniversal News Group chairman Cesar Conde, responsible for outlets including  MSNBC, CNBC, and Telemundo, reportedly wants his news operations to provide a “big tent.” However, the regression of MSNBC into “a kind of televised safe space” after Donald Trump’s election in 2016 has dragged down the rest of NBC with it, The New York Times reports, with the former president and conservatives in general increasingly regarding it as a partisan “fake news” operation.

“Our strategy is built on our distinct, complementary brands including NBC News, CNBC, NBC News Now, MSNBC and Telemundo,” NBCUniversal News Group claimed in a statement to the Times. “That has driven our performance as the nation’s leading news organization with the largest reach.”

But the Times notes the decision to hire Jen Psaki, Joe Biden’s former press secretary, and another Biden aide, Symone D. Sanders, “straight from the White House” showed MSNBC was only doubling down on its partisan bias. The negotiations to hire Psaki, in particular, caused conflict of interest concerns among NBC News staffers, with the network’s then-co-chief White House correspondent asking the then-Biden official how it could be “ethical to have these conversations with media outlets while you continue to have a job standing behind that podium?”

BALANCE FAIL.

Bias at MSNBC became so bad that NBC parent company Comcast “intervened in MSNBC’s coverage following negative remarks about Israel” following the Hamas attack on the country on October 7, 2023.  It was around this time that far-left British anchor Mehdi Hassan exited the network.

However, virulently anti-Trump shows have attracted a considerable audience of Democratic hardliners, allowing them to derail Conde’s efforts to restore some semblance of balance. On-air rebellions by the likes of Rachel Maddow over the hiring of Ronna McDaniel, considered a Republican-in-name-only by most Trump supporters, saw her deal canceled.

The Biden regime has also been directly leaning on NBC to remain biased, with officials “perturbed about the McDaniel hire,” according to the Times. The newspaper also reports Biden aides are lobbying the Nightly News, “whose huge audience is of critical political importance to the [Biden] campaign,” to stop “taking it easy on Mr. Trump and treating Mr. Biden too harshly.”

Soros Outlet Credits The National Pulse With RINO Charlie Spies’s RNC Ouster.

The George Soros-funded left-wing nonprofit Media Matters for America is crediting The National Pulse with the ouster of anti-Trump lawyer Charlie Spies from his role with the Republican National Committee (RNC). Media Matters notes that a series of articles published by The National Pulse detailing concerns over Spies’s previous employment with the Ron DeSantis and Jeb Bush presidential campaigns played a critical role in pushing Spies out the door at the RNC.

“Several other key figures in MAGA media also targeted Spies, in part because of his unwillingness to claim that the 2020 election was stolen and for his past work with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who unsuccessfully challenged Trump in the Republican presidential primary,” Media Matters writes. They add, citing reporting by The National Pulse: “Spies has also worked for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and other establishment Republicans figures.”

“The National Pulse, whose founder and editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam is a close Bannon ally, began attacking Spies immediately after his hiring,” Media Matters states, adding: “A March 12 headline referred to Spies as a ‘Jeb, DeSantis campaign lawyer who attacked Trump.’ In the ‘Editor’s Notes’ section at the bottom of the story, Kassam commented, ‘This is really fucking bad, guys.'”

The left-wing group highlights Kassam’s appearance on Stephen K. Bannon’s War Room, where The National Pulse’s editor-in-chief reported that Spies is a close personal friend of infamous Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias. Kassam explained how RNC staffers like Spies assisted Elias by “being a walkover,” “backchanneling information,” and “being a feckless tool that just sort of sits in position and doesn’t do anything.”

Prior to taking the RNC role, Spies had ridiculed former President Donald J. Trump‘s pledge to build a border wall and referred to the former President as “thin-skinned.” The night before Joe Biden‘s inauguration, Spies posted on X (formerly Twitter) a performative “congratulations” to the octogenarian Democrat.

GUARDIAN: Trump Prosecution’s Reliance on Michael Cohen is ‘A Big Stretch.’

The far-left Guardian newspaper’s opinion section this morning leads with an admission that securing a criminal prosecution in Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump is “a big stretch” thanks to the key witness being serial perjurer Michael Cohen.

After first blasting Cohen as someone she “wouldn’t hold up… as an example of a great American,” columnist Margaret Sullivan explains that the charges against Trump fail to represent “an airtight case.”

“Can jurors find [Cohen] credible, given his checkered past? Even if they do, is it possible to make the leap to criminal violations of campaign-finance law? And could every one of them then agree to convict?

“That’s an Everest-high mountain to climb. Trump’s lawyers are sure to bombard Cohen with his foibles during cross-examination later this week.”

She concludes: “As for a jury then connecting that credibility to criminal election-law interference? And then, unanimously, deciding to convict the former president? That’s a big stretch.”

Her concerns differ wildly from those of POLITICO author and former federal prosecutor Ankush Khardori, who claims Stormy Daniels’s testimony was compelling enough for the jury to find President Trump guilty, even though what she alleged was scarcely criminal, let alone felonious.

West Virginia Town May Get Transgender Mayor.

The Associated Press is pushing the mayoral campaign of Wheeling City Council member Rosemary Ketchum, the first openly transgender public official in West Virginia. While the press agency presents Ketchum as a nonpartisan figure focused on paving roads and other brass tacks local issues, he has a history of trashing Donald Trump on social media and executing far-left stunts in office.

The AP claims Ketchum’s focus is “address[ing] the community’s concerns, ranging from accessible public transit to support for small businesses,” and jabs at “GOP lawmakers’ focus on books bans and bathroom access.”

It concedes in passing that the City Council during Ketchum’s tenure declared racism a “public health crisis” in the midst of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, however, and symbolically banned “conversion therapy” of homosexual and transgender persons.

As for Ketchum’s claimed rapport with Trump voters and people “uncomfortable” with “gender nonconformity,” the official has an extensive history of attacking Donald Trump and his supporters online.

Ketchum, who was transitioned as a minor, supported Trump’s impeachment, branded his administration “hateful, vicious, and dangerous,” and claimed his supporters lack “critical thinking skills, self-awareness, and empathy.” He also attacked First Lady Melania Trump as a “complicit, lying, birther” and pushed the hoax story alleging the former president called America’s First World War dead “losers.”

After then-President Trump excluded transgenders from the military in 2018, Ketchum penned an article demanding he be allowed to serve. However, two years later, believing war was a real possibility, he posted on social media celebrating the fact he could not be conscripted, with the hashtag #NoDraftPlease.

CNN Anchor Begs Biden to Adopt Trump’s Immigration Policies.

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria is urging Joe Biden to adopt Donald Trump’s immigration policies. “The whole system is broken, and Biden needs to confront that and say, you know, ‘We are going to have to reform the whole system,’” he said.

“I would wish he’d do something much more extreme,” Zakaria said. “Like, say ‘the old asylum system is dead. No one is coming in through that process. You have to apply from your home country.’”

When interviewer Margaret Hoover pointed out that this was the “Trump policy,” the CNN host stumbled over his words slightly but acknowledged she was essentially correct.

“Which was a Trump– and also the Mexico, let– you know, you have to be in Mexico to apply,” he said, referencing Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy.

“I think that’s all correct.”

Zakaria predicts adopting Trump’s policies will give Biden a better “political chance” in November. However, he also stresses the Trump policy is “the right policy, because the old asylum system is being gamed by millions of people.”

Immigration now ranks among inflation and the economy as one of voters’ top concerns. This includes among Democrats. Biden rates far below Trump in terms of his effectiveness on immigration and a range of other issues.

A majority of Americans believe Biden is actually encouraging illegal immigration to create a “permanent majority” for his party.

VIDEO: MSNBC Pundits Stunned As Public Declares Biden Greater Threat Than Trump.

MSNBC pundits were shocked by a recent PBS Newshour/NPR/Marist poll that revealed that more Americans perceive Joe Biden as a greater threat to democracy than former President Donald Trump. According to the poll, 53 percent of independent voters believe that a second Biden term will invariably weaken America, as opposed to 42 percent who think Trump would weaken the country.

“I find it shocking, honestly. I can’t make sense of that number,” said MSNBC political analyst Susan Del Percio.

Del Percio then mused that the absence of television coverage of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump may be resulting in disinterest in the accusations against the former President, leading some independents to ‘incorrectly’ believe Biden is a greater threat to democracy.

LAWFARE, CENSORSHIP, & THE BORDER CRISIS.

However, what never seems to cross Del Percio’s mind is that it may be the very trial itself that has led independents to view Biden as a greater threat to democracy. Multiple polls have consistently shown that significant numbers of Americans believe the prosecutions against Trump are politically motivated witch hunts. Last month, a poll found that a majority of Americans now believe this to be the case and do not think Trump can receive a fair trial.

Biden’s willful mishandling of the border crisis may also be influencing independent voters to view him as a threat to democracy. An April poll found that a majority of Americans believe that Biden is intentionally importing migrants into the country en masse to create a permanent Democratic majority.

In addition to viewing the Biden government’s use of lawfare to persecute a political opponent as a threat to democracy, many Americans are doubtless concerned about the Biden FBI and DHS censoring information critical of and damaging to the regime. The Biden White House has also pressured social media companies and others directly to censor information it doesn’t like.

As independent presidential candidate RFJ, Jr. put it last month: “The greatest threat to democracy is not somebody who questions election returns but a president of the United States who uses the power of his office to force social media companies… to censor his political critics.”

‘Bloodbath’ Hoaxers MeidasTouch Hawk ‘Dark Brandon’ Merch, Linked to Allegations Biden Molested Daughter.

MeidasTouch, the far-left media network responsible for the debunked “bloodbath” hoax against Donald Trump, is selling merchandise featuring ‘Dark Brandon,’ an alter ego of Joe Biden associated with allegations he molested his daughter Ashley.

Dark Brandon,’ a direct rip-off of ‘Dark MAGA,’ emerged after conservatives began referring to Biden as “Brandon.” This was in reference to the media claiming unconvincingly that crowds chanting “F**k Joe Biden” at a sporting event were actually saying “Let’s go Brandon!”

While ‘Dark Brandon’ is an attempt to “take back” the nickname and present the 81-year-old Democrat as a tough, no-nonsense operator, it was quickly repurposed by critics, including in Communist China.

They produced variations on ‘Dark Brandon’ memes featuring Biden with glowing, demonic eyes, with the caption ‘IT’S SHOWER TIME ASHLEY.’

This references an entry in the diary of his daughter, Ashley Biden, which reads: “Was I molested? I think so – I can’t remember specifics but I do remember trauma. Hyper-sexualized @ a young age . . . I remember being somewhat sexualized with Caroline; I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/my dad (probably not appropriate).”

MeidasTouch’s pedophilia-linked merchandise — which also gives Biden glowing eyes — is not the only controversy to have emerged since it popularized the “bloodbath” hoax. The network is also reported to have accepted money from billionaire Epstein island visitor Reid Hoffman, and to employ a contributor who believes America’s Founding Fathers were all white supremacist racist pedophiles.

‘DEVASTATING’ – Even Trump Haters Admit Stormy Daniels Was ‘Disaster’ for Prosecution.

Consensus among analysts, including those working at networks hostile to Donald Trump and avowed ‘Never Trumpers,’ is that Stormy Daniels’s testimony in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s election interference case on Tuesday was “disastrous” for prosecutors.

CNN Chief Legal Analyst Paula Reid, who often peddles false and negative narratives against Trump, conceded the former president’s lawyers had executed a “devastating, eviscerating” cross-examination of Daniels.

“They’ve gotten Stormy Daniels to concede she hates Trump. That she said that she would dance if he went to jail. They have pointed to the fact that she has said she will never pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars that she owes him,” Reid said.

Daniels’s bringing a flimsy defamation case against Trump saw her ordered to pay substantial costs to the former president. Her lawyer at the time, Michael Avenatti, now describes her as “the most opportunistic person I’ve ever met” and accuses her of falsifying records and committing fraud to avoid the debt.

“They’ve effectively undercut her credibility by getting her to talk about conversations she had, that impeaching her with her own book,” Reid added. “I mean, this has been devastating for Stormy Daniels’ credibility.”

‘A BIG DAMN DEAL.’

Similarly, CNN Senior Legal Analyst Elie Honig said Daniels’s “responses were disastrous.”

“I mean, ‘Do you hate Donald Trump?’ ‘Yes.’ … That’s a big deal. When the witness hates the person whose liberty is at stake, that’s a big damn deal!” Honig exclaimed. “And she’s putting out tweets, fantasizing about him being in jail. That really undermines the credibility,” the analyst added.

“The fact that she owes him $500,000 by order of a court, owes Donald Trump a half million dollars, and said, ‘I will never pay him. I will defy a court order,’ the defense is gonna say, ‘She’s willing to defy a court order. She’s not willing to respect an order from a judge. Why is she gonna respect this oath she took?'” she added.

‘SALACIOUS DETAILS.’

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump staffer who has since parlayed her betrayal of the former president into a job on The View, also believes Daniels’s testimony hurt the prosecution.

“I want to say this; I’m not an attorney, [but] I know Republican voters and I know the Republican public. I’m a bit stunned that the prosecution leaned so heavily into the salacious details about the sexual encounter,” she said, referring to the fact prosecutors repeatedly went into graphic details of the supposed affair the judge had told them to avoid.

“I think to really lean into that side of it… I don’t know that that’s going to play well with a jury,” she said.

Daniels’s graphic stories about her alleged liaison with Trump proved so prejudicial that defense lawyers moved, albeit unsuccessfully, for a mistrial, with Judge Juan Merchan — a Joe Biden donor — admitting some of her testimony crossed the line.

The trial resumes on Thursday with further cross-examination of Daniels.

NYT Editor Blasts Biden Regime: They Want to Be Covered Like Chinese State Media Covers the CCP.

New York Times Executive Editor Joe Kahn slammed the Biden regime for its criticism of the newspaper’s coverage, suggesting that the White House would prefer the Times to document the administration’s activities much like Pravda, the state-run Soviet newspaper. The remarks follow allegations from the White House that the Times isn’t doing enough to prevent Donald Trump‘s return to office.

“To say that the threats of democracy are so great that the media is going to abandon its central role as a source of impartial information to help people vote — that’s essentially saying that the news media should become a propaganda arm for a single candidate, because we prefer that candidate’s agenda,” Kahn said.

“It’s our job to cover the full range of issues that people have. At the moment, democracy is one of them. But it’s not the top one — immigration happens to be the top [of polls], and the economy and inflation is the second. Should we stop covering those things because they’re favorable to Trump and minimize them?” Kahn asked rhetorically.

“I don’t even know how it’s supposed to work in the view of Dan Pfeiffer or the White House. We become an instrument of the Biden campaign? We turn ourselves into Xinhua News Agency or Pravda and put out a stream of stuff that’s very, very favorable to them and only write negative stories about the other side?”

The Biden White House has been highly hostile to media sources that dare to criticize the regime and has gone to great lengths to control media coverage. Last month, it was reported that the regime went as far as pressuring fact-checker Snopes to change one of its ratings.

EXC: U.S. State Media DELETES Pro-Biden ‘Fact Check’ After Rep. Gaetz Exposes Propaganda in National Pulse Exclusive.

The taxpayer-funded Voice of America (VOA) media outlet has removed a post that spread Biden government disinformation against Representative Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) investigation into the status of U.S. troops stationed in Niger, The National Pulse can reveal.

On April 26, The National Pulse was also first to report on a letter Rep. Gaetz sent to VOA’s acting director, John Lippman, demanding they remove a post that insinuated the Florida Republican’s Niger report was Russian disinformation.

“Our Polygraph.info post concerned the article from BreakThrough News in which you were quoted and not your quote itself. That is why our reporter did not call your office,” acting director Lippman wrote in a letter responding to Gaetz. Despite initially trying to cover for his taxpayer-funded organization’s mistake, Lippman conceded: “In hindsight, we should have. We did not intend the story to be accusatory of you and apologize if you felt that it was.”

“We have removed the post from our website and will be taking corrective action so that our writing is more specific when calling into question the content of published reports,” the VOA acting director continued. He concluded: “We don’t want people who may be quoted in the original articles to be inadvertently tarred with the same brush.”

The post is now simply a blank page that reads, “The story at this URL is undergoing further editing.

While the concession from VOA marks a win for rolling back government agencies and publicly-funded programs that spread Biden regime propaganda, it does fall short of addressing some of Rep. Gaetz‘s specific objections. Lippman does not acknowledge the fact that VOA made claims stating the State Department and Pentagon have been engaged in “continuing talks” with the Niger government, something the Congressman’s investigation found to be false.

Additionally, the letter did not address his outlet’s false denial of poor equipment conditions and lack of troop rotations for American soldiers stationed in the African country.
