Islamist Sentenced for Attempting to Bomb Hospital.

An Islamist who attempted a bombing at a British hospital has been sentenced to a minimum of 37 years in prison. Mohammad Farooq, 29, was convicted after bringing an explosive device to St James’s Hospital in the city of Leeds, England, in January. The device, a pressure cooker bomb, contained double the explosives of those used in the Boston Marathon bombing of 2013.

Farooq’s plan was thwarted when he was dissuaded by patient Nathan Newby, whom he encountered at the hospital. Farooq initially aimed to attack an American military in North Yorkshire but was deterred by security measures. He then targeted St James’s Hospital, intending to detonate the bomb in a café during a shift change, and also attack people with knives and incite police to shoot him by brandishing an imitation firearm.

Prosecutors described Farooq as self-radicalized, seeking martyrdom. The court heard he wished to “kill as many nurses as possible.”

In handing down the life sentence, Judge Mrs. Cheema-Grubb commended Nathan Newby for his courage in “talking down” Farooq. She described Newby as an “extraordinary, ordinary man,” highlighting his intervention on January 20, 2023, as key in preventing a potential atrocity.

The sentencing took place at Sheffield Crown Court, where it was determined Farooq must serve at least 37 years before being eligible for release.

Trump Denies NYT Claims of Musk Being Briefed on China War Plans: ‘Fake News.’

President Donald J. Trump is publicly dismissing a report from The New York Times suggesting that Elon Musk will be briefed at the Pentagon on Friday concerning U.S. military strategies in the event of a conflict with China. Trump labeled the report as “fake news” on his social media platform, Truth Social, asserting that such a briefing would not occur. He emphasized that China would not be a topic of discussion during Musk’s scheduled visit to the Pentagon.

“The Fake News is at it again, this time the Failing New York Times. They said, incorrectly, that Elon Musk is going to the Pentagon tomorrow to be briefed on any potential ‘war with China.’ How ridiculous?” Trump wrote late Thursday evening. “China will not even be mentioned or discussed. How disgraceful it is that the discredited media can make up such lies. Anyway, the story is completely untrue!!!”

PENTAGON: ‘FAKE NEWS.’

Meanwhile, Trump’s Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, also refuted the claims on social media, stating that Musk’s visit is intended for discussions on innovation and efficiency, not secret military strategies concerning China. “We look forward to welcoming [Elon Musk] to the Pentagon tomorrow,” Hegseth wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “But the fake news delivers again — this is NOT a meeting about ‘top secret China war plans.’ It’s an informal meeting about innovation, efficiencies & smarter production. Gonna be great!”

The controversy has sparked concern among some Democratic lawmakers about potential conflicts of interest due to Musk’s involvement with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and his extensive government contracts. Musk, who owns Tesla—which does business with China—and SpaceX, is leading efforts to streamline government functions under the Trump administration.

The White House previously classified Musk is a “special government employee” who acts solely as an unpaid advisor. They assured Musk that he would avoid involvement in matters where personal financial interests could conflict with his governmental role.

Border Patrol Chief Warns of Cartels Engaging in Drone Warfare.

The chief of the U.S. Border Patrol has issued a stark warning to Mexican drug cartels, citing the increasing threat of drone warfare between rival criminal groups. Mike Banks, the Border Patrol chief, emphasized the agency’s preparedness in dealing with such violence.

“We have seen cartel-on-cartel violence that involves drones. We prepare and train to be ready to fight the enemy on any ground,” Banks said during a recent media appearance. “We’re impacting the cartels’ ability to make billions of dollars.”

Cartels have intensified their conflicts over control of trafficking routes and territory, heightening concerns about potential spillover violence into the United States. In response, President Donald J. Trump designated multiple Mexican and Central and South American cartels and gangs as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).

The presence of drones at the border, such as a DJI Mavic 3 observed near Yuma, Arizona, highlights the sophisticated methods cartels use. Banks highlighted an increased risk of violence crossing the border, with multiple incidents and drone infiltrations noted. While agents are encountering only around 250 individuals daily—a figure significantly down under Trump from the thousands of daily encounters that occurred under former President Joe Biden—there remains a significant watchfulness for cartel operations.

Recent months have seen alarming cartel actions in the southern border region, including American fatalities from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and shootouts with border agents. In one incident, suspected cartel members retreated to Fronton Island after engaging U.S. agents.

Some lawmakers want stronger measures against the cartels. Meanwhile, President Trump has hinted at potential military interventions in Mexico to dismantle drug operations.

Trump Threatens Tesla Vandals with 20 Years in El Salvador Super Prison.

President Donald J. Trump has issued a warning to individuals involved in attacks on Tesla, indicating they could face up to 20 years in prison if caught. The statement follows recent charges against suspects accused of violently targeting Tesla dealerships, vehicles, and charging stations across the United States. Trump emphasized the seriousness of the offenses in a social media post, stating that funders of such activities could also face similar penalties.

“I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla,” President Trump wrote Friday morning in a post on Truth Social. “Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!”

Meanwhile, in a separate post late Thursday, Trump stated: “People that get caught sabotaging Teslas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes the funders. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!”

‘DOMESTIC TERRORISM.’

Trump’s remarks were made after Attorney General Pam Bondi categorized the acts as “domestic terrorism.” Bondi has affirmed the commitment of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to pursue severe legal actions against those implicated. She revealed that several individuals have already been charged, with some facing mandatory minimum sentences of five years.

Additionally, Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Dan Bongino said the agency is actively investigating the incidents. He noted the agency’s focus on the Tesla-related attacks as part of efforts to ensure national security. The recent surge in these attacks has been reported in states including Oregon, Illinois, Nevada, Washington, and South Carolina.

The National Pulse previously reported that far-left hackers published the detailed information of every Tesla owner in the United States, including their home addresses, as part of a campaign to terrorize the company, its customers, and its owner, Elon Musk. The website hosting the information uses a Molotov cocktail image as a cursor.

Trump Bends DC Law Firm to His Will in Extraordinary Deal Terms.

President Donald J. Trump has extracted extraordinary guarantees from the multinational white-shoe law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison (Paul, Weiss) in exchange for retracting an executive order stripping the firm of their security clearance and government contracts. Paul Weiss had been a major behind-the-scenes player in the lawfare efforts against Trump over the last four years, along with representing several left-wing causes, including providing legal services for abortionists following the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling, which overturned Roe v. Wade.

Notably, Paul, Weiss has agreed to apologize for the actions of a former partner at the law firm, Mark F. Pomerantz, who instigated a Manhattan District Attorney investigation into Trump that resulted in DA Alvin Bragg’s so-called hush money prosecution. Additionally, the firm has agreed not to deny pro bono services based on the client’s political views and will provide the federal government the equivalent of $40 million in pro bono legal services supporting President Trump’s agenda over the next four years, among other concessions.

‘RESTORING OUR SYSTEM OF JUSTICE.’

“Paul, Weiss agrees that the bedrock principle of American Justice is that it must be fair and nonpartisan for all. Our Justice System is betrayed when it is misused to achieve political ends,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social late Thursday. “Lawyers and law firms play a vital role in ensuring that we live up to that standard as a Nation. Law firms should not favor any political party when it comes to choosing their clients. Firms also should not make decisions on whom to hire based on a person’s political affiliation. To do otherwise is to deny some Americans an equal opportunity for our services while favoring others.”

“Lawyers abandon the profession’s highest ideals when they engage in partisan decision-making, and betray the ethical obligation to represent those who are unpopular or disfavored in a particular environment,” he added.

In a statement announcing the concessions, the Trump White House said: “The President is agreeing to this action in light of a meeting with Paul, Weiss Chairman, Brad Karp, during which Mr. Karp acknowledged the wrongdoing of former Paul, Weiss partner, Mark Pomerantz, the grave dangers of Weaponization, and the vital need to restore our System of Justice.”

ANTI-TRUMP, PRO-CHINA.

The National Pulse has previously reported that former Obama government Attorney General Loretta Lynch—a member of the Paul, Weiss litigation department—drew Congressional scrutiny over her U.S. lobbying work for Chinese drone company DJI. The Department of Defense identifies DJI as a Chinese military tech producer.

Additionally, Roberta Kaplan—the attorney representing E. Jean Carroll—and U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan—who presided over Carroll’s defamation case against Trump—worked together at Paul, Weiss in the 1990s.

“We are gratified that the President has agreed to withdraw the Executive Order concerning Paul, Weiss. We look forward to an engaged and constructive relationship with the President and his Administration,” Paul, Weiss Chairman Brad Karp said in a statement praising President Trump’s decision to lift the executive order against the law firm.

UFC Legend Conor McGregor Enters Race for Irish Presidency.

Conor McGregor, the renowned UFC fighter and former multi-division champion, has declared his intention to run for the presidency of Ireland. Announcing his candidacy on social media platforms X and Instagram, McGregor focused his campaign message on his opposition to the European Union’s Migration Pact.

Recent meetings between McGregor, U.S. President Donald J. Trump, and tech billionaire Elon Musk seem to have galvanized McGregor’s political ambition. The 36-year-old contender criticized Ireland’s commitment to the pact, pledging to hold a referendum should he be elected. “It is the people of Ireland’s choice,” McGregor emphasized in his campaign statement.

During his visit to Washington, D.C., on March 17, McGregor expressed discontent with current Irish policies, slamming Ireland’s migration policies and saying the country is being “overrun” by illegal aliens.

However, the role McGregor seeks is largely ceremonial, with limited powers compared to executive presidencies like that in the U.S. The Irish president’s duties include endorsing legislation passed by Parliament—with no obvious veto power—and serving as a symbolic figurehead.

Moreover, the Irish political establishment tightly controls who is allowed to run for the presidency, with McGregor unable to enter the race unless a minimum number of national legislators or local governments agree to nominate him.

McGregor has been a firm opponent of mass migration on social media and has been targetted by the Irish government over allegations of hate speech, with police launching an investigation against him in 2023. McGregor had stated, “Ireland, we are at war,” following a mass stabbing of children in Dublin that year.

The JFK Files.

The Trump administration released tens of thousands of pages of previously withheld government documents on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, providing new details on the historic event.

Back up: Kennedy was assassinated when his motorcade drove through Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.

The details: The U.S. National Archives released more than 63,000 pages of previously classified files to the public in accordance with an executive order signed by President Donald Trump in January. Here are some of the high-profile takeaways.

  • One document reveals how Gary Underhill, who worked for the CIA, was found dead shortly after telling friends that “a small clique within the CIA” was responsible for the assassination.
  • The CIA closely monitored Oswald’s travels to Mexico City, where he sought a visa to return to the Soviet Union just two months before JFK’s death.
  • One document links a CIA-affiliated arms dealer to the sporting goods store where Oswald allegedly purchased his rifle.
  • Oswald’s phone calls were intercepted, and CIA officials urged Washington to keep those wiretaps secret even decades later.
  • A memo from historian and JFK aide Arthur Schlesinger Jr. warned the president about the CIA’s influence over foreign policy, calling it a “state within a state.”
  • The CIA bugged a meeting Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy was likely to attend with two Cuban exiles. CIA bugging the AG…

Zoom out: Some of these documents had been previously released—but with heavy redactions. This batch was unredacted.

Real talk from G: There are more excerpts from the files that have made their rounds on social media but require more diligence from yours truly to verify. If they pan out, I’ll be sure to share them with you all.

The last word goes to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who wrote on X: “President Trump is ushering in a new era of maximum transparency… Promises made, promises kept.”

Chinese Satellites Engage in Unprecedented ‘Dogfighting’ Maneuvers: U.S. Space Force.

U.S. military officials say they have observed a group of Chinese satellites performing advanced maneuvers in orbit, raising concerns about potential threats to satellite communications. The maneuvers, described as “dogfighting,” were detailed by General Michael Guetlein, vice chief of Space Operations for the U.S. Space Force, at a recent defense strategy conference. Such exercises involve satellites moving in a synchronized manner, potentially allowing China to develop tactics to disrupt satellite functionality.

“With our commercial assets, we have observed five different objects in space maneuvering in and out around each other in synchronicity and in control. That’s what we call ‘dogfighting’ in space,” Gen. Guetlein said. “They are practicing tactics, techniques, and procedures to do on orbit space operations from one satellite to another.”

“What keeps me up at night is the pace that the adversary—or the threat—is changing every single day. It is an eye-watering pace. It requires our guardians to be on their A-game every single day,” the general added.

China’s aggressive orbital actions come as Beijing continues to ramp up investment in space technology. China has made considerable technological strides in recent years, including constructing its own space station, landing a probe on the moon’s dark side, and planning future missions to establish a permanent lunar base. Moreover, China is building a communications satellite network to compete with SpaceX’s Starlink.

According to U.S. Space Force officials, the Chinese orbital maneuvers reportedly involved five satellites, three Shiyan-24Cs, and two Shjian-605s. While the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) insists it remains committed to the peaceful use of space, the latest actions raise renewed concerns about an orbital arms race.

Illegal Aliens Escape Federal Facility, Local Authorities Refuse to Assist.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says local law enforcement in Aurora, Colorado, refused to assist them after two illegal immigrants escaped from a detention facility located near the city during a power outage. According to ICE officials, Joel Jose Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 32, and Geilond Vido-Romero, 24, fled the Denver Contract Detention Facility late Tuesday when the facility experienced an unexpected power failure. After discovering the absence of the detainees during a routine check, federal immigration officers notified local law enforcement, who declined to assist with a broader community search.

While additional state and federal law enforcement agencies were also notified, both illegal immigrant escapees remain at large, and the search efforts continue. Aurora Police Department claims that ICE did not contact them until several hours after the two illegal immigrants escaped, insisting, “This was a cold event from the time we were notified.”

“As a municipal law enforcement agency, we do not enforce federal immigration law and cannot engage in larger-scale searches or follow-ups,” they added.

Vido-Romero, the younger of the two, had been detained by ICE the previous month following local charges in Castle Rock. He had illegally entered the U.S. via Eagle Pass, Texas, in December 2023, and was awaiting deportation to Venezuela. Gonzalez-Gonzalez, who entered the U.S. through El Paso, Texas, in February 2013, was detained by federal authorities last month after being held at the Adams County Jail in Brighton on local charges. He was awaiting immigration proceedings at the time of his escape from the ICE facility.

FBI Agent Who Alleged Giuliani was Compromised by Russia Arrested for Leaking.

A Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent who had previously voiced criticism of the bureau during President Donald J. Trump‘s first administration and alleged that Russian agents compromised former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was arrested on Monday. Jonathan Buma, a 15-year veteran of the FBI, is facing charges of unlawfully retaining and disclosing confidential bureau documents to write a book about his career. Buma was apprehended at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City while preparing to board an international flight, according to an arrest affidavit.

The federal charges allege Buma printed approximately 130 confidential documents and messages from the FBI, which he later shared with associates as part of his book-writing endeavor. The book manuscript purportedly includes material related to the FBI’s investigations into a foreign nation’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program, information that Buma obtained during his tenure as a Special Agent.

Further allegations in court documents claim Buma disseminated confidential excerpts on social media platforms. In an email dated November 2, 2023, it is reported that Buma communicated with personal contacts to assist in negotiating a book deal.

Buma’s discontent with the FBI had been longstanding, with documented criticisms made in 2022 regarding the bureau’s investigative processes, including communications to government agencies, Congress, and media outlets. In a September 2023 interview, Buma detailed his experience when raising concerns to a superior about former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani‘s potential involvement in a Russian counter-influence operation, claiming he was dismissed. However, his mention of Hunter Biden’s ties to Ukrainian company Burisma supposedly garnered more interest from this superior.

Buma was charged with one misdemeanor count of unlawful disclosure of confidential information and released on a $100,000 bond.
