House GOP Bumbles Into Biden’s Campus Crisis… Passes Hate Speech Law That Could Ban Bible Verses?

The Republican-led House of Representatives has intervened in Joe Biden’s campus crisis by passing hate speech legislation defining anti-Semitism in incredibly broad terms and using that broad definition “for the enforcement of Federal antidiscrimination laws concerning education programs or activities, and for other purposes.”

H. R. 6090, to be cited as the Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2023 if it becomes law, uses the “working definition of antisemitism” adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) in 2016. This is extremely broad in scope, and includes “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor,” “Applying double standards” to Israel, and “Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.”

The bill, which passed by 320 votes to 91, with 70 Democrats and 21 Republicans voting against it, has raised concerns among America First conservatives, who fear it violates the First Amendment and will draw fire away from Joe Biden. Until now, Biden has borne the brunt of campus protestors’ ire, damaging his standing among Muslim and younger voters key to his prospects in swing states like Michigan.

“It is patently insane for House Republicans to insert themselves into the mayhem engulfing college campuses. Do not interrupt your enemies when they’re making a mistake!” said Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, echoing arguments first advanced by National Pulse editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam.

“Instead of passing anti-free speech laws that trample on the First Amendment or inserting themselves behind a podium at Columbia, just allow the left to continue embarrassing itself,” he argued.

SCRIPTURE OUTLAWED?

H. R. 6090 also defines “Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis” as anti-Semitic.

This has raised concerns among Kirk and other Christian conservatives as to whether H. R. 6090 could “make parts of the Bible illegal.” The Bible records that the Romans put Jesus Christ to death, but at the request of Jewish chief priests and elders, who delivered Jesus to the Roman authorities.

Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor, sought repeatedly to release Jesus, but the priests insisted “by our law he ought to die,” and Jesus told the Roman that “he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.”

REPORT: Biden Camp Frustrated by Trump’s Meetings with Foreign Leaders.

Former President Donald Trump‘s meetings with foreign officials are bothering those close to Joe Biden. While it is normal for a presidential opposition candidate to meet with foreign leaders, meetings between Trump and foreign figures are reportedly annoying for the Biden camp. Not only is Trump reportedly coming off as too presidential, but the meetings also suggest that foreign observers believe he can and “will win.”

Senior administration officials “said that, while it’s standard fare for the nominee of a major party to meet with foreign officials, they have been irked by the degree to which Trump has brought them to his homes and given the sessions the trappings of state visits,” reports NBC.

Trump has recently hosted an array of foreign dignitaries, including Polish President Andrzej Duda, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, former Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, and former British Prime Minister and current Home Secretary David Cameron.

One longtime Biden ally said that while “On the official side, it might be helpful,” but “On the political side, it’s annoying to see it happen because [Trump] tries to capitalize.”

However, one Trump aide said he believed the meetings bother the Biden camp for another reason. “At some level they believe [Trump] can win — will win,” he said of the foreign leaders.

Biden’s time in the White House has also been marked by noted foreign policy failures, which some argue have diminished the U.S.’ standing on the world stage, highlighting a contrast with Trump. In addition to the catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal, which one historian called America’s “greatest humiliation since Saigon,” Biden’s foreign policy blunders have emboldened North Korea and seen U.S. troops booted from a significant portion of West Africa, now firmly under Russia influence.

‘Let’s Hope It’s True!’ – Media Invented Barron Trump Story After FAILING to ‘Confirm’ Rumors.

The left-wing Daily Beast website fabricated a story about President Donald J. Trump’s 18-year-old son, Barron, after failing to confirm rumors alleged by the site’s new ‘Chief Content Officer’ Joanna Coles, according to a new report about the matter.

New York Magazine‘s Intelligencer reported Tuesday:

On her first week on the job as chief creative and content officer, Joanna Coles carried a tip into the newsroom: A friend told her that Barron Trump would attend NYU for college. She told a group of staff to write it up for a new gossip column she wanted, called “Beast Buzz.” After trying to confirm the story, the team came up empty, but Coles pressed them to publish. The task fell to Tracy Connor, the editor-in-chief who eschews her office for a simple desk among reporters and editors. As she wrote up the blind item without a byline, Coles said in a voice loud enough for all to hear: “We will see how it does. Let’s hope it’s true!”

The incident was not isolated, with the Daily Beast recently peddling a number of other stories without sourcing, nor confirmation, according to a number of employees seeking new jobs in the wake of Coles’s transformation of what they once claim was a “news” site:

By the end of her first week, at least a dozen staff were looking elsewhere for jobs or hoping for buyouts, and by the end of her second, two were on the way out. For those who remain, fear of layoffs is widespread and morale is so low that some have been crying behind closed doors.

True to form, she recently assigned another un-bylined story about “The Look-Alike Women in Donald Trump’s Orbit” focusing on “head-turning brunettes of a certain stripe.” It’s not always clear which ideas Coles wants to pursue and which she is just throwing out, according to one person. For example, according to another staffer, Coles proposed a list of “the five most obese members of Congress.” The piece wasn’t assigned.

She did assign two other stories that made editors scramble to kill them for fear of embarrassment. One was to follow up on a rumor that Donald Trump passed gas in his criminal trial. She assigned the politics team to reach out to gastroenterologists about whether the emissions were “stress farts or sleep farts.” Another was assigned with the headline “Is Protesting the New Sex for Gen Z?” making the case that the campus protests across the country were largely being done for a thrill rather than true concern for Palestinian or Israeli lives.

Muslim Cop Charged After Posting Support for Terror Faction.

Police officer Mohammed Adil has been suspended from his duties following allegations he promoted Hamas on messaging platform WhatsApp. Westminster Magistrates’ Court is set to hear terrorism charges against the 26-year-old policeman from Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England.

The investigation into Police Constable Adil was carried out by counter-terrorism officers directed by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which regulates English police forces. PC Adil has been charged with two counts of publishing an image in support of a proscribed organization in contravention of the Terrorism Act.

“A West Yorkshire Police officer, PC Mohammed Adil, serving in Calderdale District, has been suspended since his arrest. This is part of a Counter Terrorism Policing North East investigation, under the direction of the Independent Office for Police Conduct,” the West Yorkshire Police force has confirmed in a statement.

Among British Muslims generally, polling has found 46 percent sympathize with Hamas in its current conflict with Israel. Just three percent sympathize more with Israel, while 36 percent said they do not sympathize “more” with either side.

West Yorkshire Police has faced several controversies in recent years. One involved a short-haired policewoman who entered the home of an autistic minor late at night and had her arrested for saying she resembled her “lesbian nana.” The force initially defended the incident, which was captured on video, but later dropped proceedings against the minor and had the “lesbian” officer apologize to the girl.

British police forces have often appeared reluctant to act against Islamism more broadly. In 2023, London’s Metropolitan Police force defended anti-Israel protestors calling openly for “jihad,” claiming the word has “a number of meanings.”

However, the protestors were calling for jihad in explicit reference to waging a holy war against Israel.

Who is Matthew Colangelo? Congress Launches Probe into Obama-Linked Trump Prosecutor.

The House Judiciary Committee has initiated an investigation into Matthew Colangelo, a top prosecutor in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s case against former President Donald J. Trump. Colangelo previously served in a senior role as an attorney with the Biden government’s Department of Justice (DOJ). It is suspected that he may serve as a go-between for federal officials and the District Attorney’s office.

Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), who chairs the Judiciary Committee, is requesting communications and other records related to Colangelo‘s employment with Biden‘s DOJ. “The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of politically motivated prosecutions by state and local officials,” Chairman Jordan wrote in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland. He continued: “Since last year, popularly elected prosecutors—who campaigned for office on the promise of prosecuting President Trump—engaged in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority: the indictment of a former President of the United States and current leading candidate for that office.”

WHO IS MATTHEW COLANGELO?

Colangelo has featured prominently in the hush money trial, even delivering opening arguments for the prosecution team. The former DOJ attorney told the court that they would present evidence implicating Trump in a “criminal conspiracy and a cover-up.” The former federal attorney’s work against conservatives and Republican lawmakers dates back to the Obama government, where Colangelo served in the DOJ’s Voting Section.

While working in the Voting Section, Colangelo coordinated with the infamous left-wing groups Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and Project Vote to pressure law enforcement to target conservative political candidates.

Former President Trump faces 34 charges of falsifying business records. These charges are typically misdemeanors. However, Bragg and his prosecutors are using a dubious legal theory to boost the charges to felonies. They contend that the misdemeanors were committed in the course of breaking federal election law. Trump has neither been charged nor convicted of any federal election violations by either the Federal Election Commission or Biden’s DOJ.

The National Pulse has reported that much of District Attorney Bragg’s strategy appears to hinge on the credibility of disgraced attorney Michael Cohen, whom a federal judge accused of being “perverse.”

DATA: Women Now More Concerned Over Mass Migration Than Men.

Women increasingly view immigration as a major concern, with American adults polled by Gallup listing immigration as their biggest concern for a third straight month — the first time in 24 years it has topped the list for so long. Moreover, more women than men now list immigration as their top concern.

In April, Women viewed immigration as a more important issue than men by 31 percent to 24 percent. In February and March, men were more concerned, 31 percent to 26 percent and 30 percent to 26 percent, respectively.

Concern about immigration among all respondents increased from 20 percent in January to nearly 30 percent in February and March. After immigration, Americans’ top concerns in April were the government, the economy, and inflation.

Americans’ increasing concern about immigration reflects public frustration with the Biden regime’s willful mishandling of the border crisis. In Fiscal Year 2023 alone, authorities apprehended nearly 2.5 million illegal aliens at the U.S.-Mexico border. Recent polling has consistently ranked immigration a pressing priority for voters, but the news that women — key to his reelection prospects — are becoming increasingly concerned about the issue is particularly bad news for Biden.

A likely factor driving women’s concern over immigration is illegal alien crime. In addition to particularly high-profile crimes such as the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, dozens of illegal aliens in states across the country have been arrested for murder and the sexual assault and rape of women and children.

Biden Plans to Flood America With ‘Palestinian Refugees.’

The Biden regime is reportedly considering bringing Palestinians from Gaza to the United States as refugees.

The details: According to internal federal government documents obtained by CBS, the refugee status would extend to Gazans with immediate family who are American citizens or permanent residents.

  • Those who qualify would be given housing assistance and a pathway to citizenship.

Zoom out: As of 2020, 97,744 Palestinians were living in the U.S. It’s unclear how many of them have immediate family in Gaza.

Back up: Historically, the U.S. has not accepted many refugees from Gaza because it complicates our close partnership with Israel. Over the last decade, the U.S. has resettled less than 600 refugees from Palestine.

Ideological concerns: According to a recent poll, 71 percent of Palestinians supported Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel that saw brutal murders and rape of innocent civilians. This poses the obvious challenge of vetting who is allowed in.Playing politics: For Biden, this move is all about stopping the bleeding. He’s trying to win back Arab American and young Democrat voters who are dissatisfied with his support for Israel.

OnlyFans Under Investigation for Allowing Kids Access to Porn.

OnlyFans, the subscription service ‘content creator’ site used mainly by pornography-producing sex workers, is under investigation over concerns it is failing to prevent children from accessing explicit adult content. Fenix International Limited, OnlyFans’ parent company, is being investigated by the UK‘s Office of Communications (Ofcom) for its alleged failure to implement adequate age verification measures and failure to comply with government information requests.

“We are investigating whether OnlyFans has contravened its duties to implement appropriate measures (taken under Schedule 15A) to protect under-18s from encountering restricted material such as pornography,” Ofcom wrote. “We are also looking at whether OnlyFans failed to provide complete and accurate responses to statutory information requests.”

The porn site maintained in a statement that it has experienced “a coding configuration issue” affecting some “age thresholds” but insists it “works closely” with regulators to “implement and develop best-practices on online safety.” The company asserts that its age thresholds are always set above 18.

While OnlyFans faces scrutiny in the UK for inadequate age-verification measures, such protections are not even in place for children in much of the U.S. After Texas passed a law requiring age-verification on pornography websites, Texas AG Ken Paxton sued PornHub for refusing to implement such verification. The controversial website eventually decided to suspend service in Texas rather than take measures to protect children from its pornographic content.

Data Shows Americans MORE Likely to Vote Trump Due to NY Trial.

A majority of likely voters say Donald Trump’s prosecution by George Soros-backed Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg either makes no difference to their voting intentions or makes them more likely to vote for the former president, according to new polling by Rasmussen Reports.

The pollster sampled over a thousand likely voters in late April, asking, “In terms of this year’s presidential election, has the New York trial made you more likely or less likely to vote for Trump? Or has the trial not made much difference in how you will vote in the presidential election?” 

Thirty-two percent said the trial, which Trump has called a politically motivated witch hunt, makes them more likely to vote for the former president. Forty percent say it makes little difference to them. Just 26 percent say it makes them less likely to vote for him.

Among Republican voters and voters who identify as conservative, the prosecution appears to be having an energizing effect, with 51 percent and 53 percent saying it makes them more likely to vote for Trump, respectively.

The prosecution is much less of a motivator among Democrats and liberals, with 42 percent of the former and 45 percent of the latter saying it does not make much difference to them.

Separate polling by Emerson has found that even a ‘guilty’ verdict in Bragg’s election interference case could actually be a boon for Trump, boosting him among independent voters in Arizona, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Margins are less favorable but fairly small in the other swing states of Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin.

Recent polls have Trump leading Biden in either all seven or six of seven swing states.

A DUBIOUS CASE.

Bragg’s prosecution of Trump is dubious, to begin with. The National Pulse has detailed that it appears the entire case is now reliant on the credibility of disgraced attorney Michael Cohen. Recently, while attempting to terminate the conditions of his supervised release from federal prison, Cohen was called “perverse” by a federal judge. The request to end his sentence early was denied.

In addition, the Manhattan hush money prosecution is predicated on the idea that Bragg can charge former President Donald J. Trump with felony crimes that require an underlying federal crime to have been committed. It is important to note that the former Republican President has neither been charged nor convicted under the needed federal statute. In fact, both the Federal Election Commission and Biden’s Department of Justice declined to prosecute him for the campaign finance violations that Bragg alleges.

WATCH: 1000+ Protest in Favor of Islamic State.

Over 1,000 protesters gathered in Hamburg over the weekend to demand the creation of an Islamic caliphate in Germany. An extremist group known as Muslim Interaktiv organized the demonstration.

According to one speaker at the event, the caliphate is a “system that provides security.” He also claimed it is misunderstood and “demonized” by the media and politicians in Germany.

The group gathered to protest the alleged “Islamophobic” policies of the government and “disinformation” against Muslims in media reporting on the Israel-Hamas war.

TERRORIST TIES. 

According to Germany’s Federal Criminal Intelligence Service, Muslim Interaktiv is part of Hizb ut-Tahrir, an international Salafi Islamist terrorist group that advocates for a global caliphate under Sharia law. Germany banned Hizb ut-Tahrir in 2003. The UK also banned it earlier this year.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser of the left-wing Social Democratic Party confirmed that security services are monitoring Muslim Interaktiv. “Other groups that raise emotions, radicalize and recruit new Islamists are also being watched by our security authorities. This included the group at the Hamburg demonstration,” Faeser said.

“The red line at which Germany’s protection of the right of assembly and freedom of speech ended had to be clear. No terrorism propaganda for Hamas, no hate speech directed at Jews. If crimes like this occur, there has to be immediate and forceful intervention at demonstrations,” she explained.

Significantly, the pro-Caliphate protest comes on the heels of a study by the Criminological Research Institute of Lower Saxony, which found that nearly half of young Muslims in the German state — 45.8 percent — preferred an Islamic Caliphate to liberal democracy. Almost 70 percent said they believed the principles of the Quran should take precedence over German law, and over a third said they understood violence towards those who insult Allah or Muhammad.
