Trump’s Million Dollar Fundraiser for Helene Victims Nears $7M Raised.

A fundraiser launched by President Donald J. Trump and his supporters to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Helene is nearing the $7 million mark. With an initial goal of $1 million, the fundraiser has already begun issuing disbursements to aid groups working to help those impacted by the unprecedented and deadly storm across the southeastern United States.

According to the Trump campaign’s authorized GoFundMe, Samaritan’s Purse, Water Mission, Clinch Foundation, and Mtn2Sea Ministries are the four aid organizations currently designated to receive the disbursements from the fundraiser. The total raised is presently $6,835,599, though that number is expected to continue rising.

The Trump campaign fundraiser for Helene victims is one of the most significant outside contributions to assistance in the wake of the deadly hurricane, which made landfall initially in Florida over a week ago. Corporate donations to aid rescue and recovery efforts have generally been around $1 million, though the total contributed by the National Football League (NFL) teams and players is estimated to be around $8 million.

Hurricane Helene’s destruction—and the slow federal government response—has sparked expansive private efforts to provide aid and rescue for the tens of thousands of individuals who were left without power or running water throughout America’s Appalachian region. Technology billionaire Elon Musk has had employees on the ground for the last week deploying his StarLink satellite internet system throughout the region to restore communications in areas that no longer have a cellular phone or internet service.

Even with the massive effort and quick response from private aid groups and average American citizens, the death toll from Helene has already hit 230. With over 600 people still reported missing, it is feared the total fatalities will rise further.

Hundreds Still Feared Missing After Hurricane Helene.

The death toll from Hurricane Helene has reached over 225, and fears are growing that the remaining 600 reported missing will ultimately be counted among the dead. In Asheville, North Carolina—a city with a population of 100,000 that was hit especially hard by the storm—around 75 people remain missing.

The nearly 500-mile-wide destructive path of Hurricane Helene, which includes the states of Florida, Georgia, Tennesee, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Virginia, has made it one of the deadliest storms in American history—and the deadliest in the past 20 years. A slow response by Biden-Harris federal emergency management officials and the difficult terrain around the remote Appalachian mountain towns impacted has hampered rescue efforts across the region.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been highly critical of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) response in North Carolina. Musk says he has numerous individuals on the ground in the state to deliver Starlink satellite Internet in areas that have lost communications capabilities. However, he claims FEMA has hampered these efforts, requiring escorts for those transporting the Starlink devices into remote areas.

Additionally, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has come forward with evidence of mismanagement by the Biden-Harris Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FEMA. According to Gaetz, the whistleblower claims that numerous Department of Defense (DOD), DHS, and FEMA personnel deployed throughout the Appalachian region in response to the destruction have been left without clear directives, further delaying the federal government’s emergency response.

Here’s How Trump & Harris Are Marking the Oct 7 Anniversary.

Former President Donald J. Trump and his 2024 election opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, are both set to mark the one-year anniversary of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel today.

President Trump is expected to visit the Brooklyn, NY tomb of Orthodox Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. This evening, Trump will host a remembrance event at his golf club in Doral, Florida. Meanwhile, Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, will hold a ceremony at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C.

“Jewish community leaders will gather to honor the 1,200 lives lost after being taken hostage and killed on that fateful morning one year ago,” the Trump campaign said in a statement before Monday’s remembrance ceremony in Florida. They added: “The event will also remember the victims of antisemitic violence that has continued to afflict communities worldwide since that tragic day.”

Meanwhile, Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will plant a small tree on the grounds of the Naval Observatory. Harris will deliver brief remarks. Emhoff, who is recently Jewish, will also attend and receive a prayer at the American Jewish Committee’s National October 7 Memorial commemoration in Washington, D.C.

Joe Biden will mark the day at the White House, holding a small ceremony with rabbis and participating in a yahrzeit candle lighting. Biden has also said he intends to follow Pope Francis’s call for a day of prayer and fasting.

MIDDLE EAST AT WAR. 

A year ago, the Hamas terrorist group launched a series of barbaric attacks against Israel, killing over 1,200 in a single day. In addition, several hundred Israelis—along with dozens of foreign nationals—were taken into the Gaza territory by Hamas as hostages. While a number have been freed, the terror group has murdered several of them.

Currently, it is believed around 100 hostages remain in Gaza—though some suspect only about 70 are still alive. It is believed that seven of the hostages still held are American citizens.

The day also marks the first anniversary of the start of a broader conflict across the Middle East. The Islamic Republic of Iran and its proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon have repeatedly attacked Israel since October 7. Consequently, following a series of decapitation strikes, Israel has launched a ground war in Lebanon aimed at dismantling Hezbollah.

UPDATE: Hurricane Milton Hits Cat 5, Largest Evacuation Since 2017 Begins.

Tropical Storm Milton has strengthened into a Category 5 hurricane as it approaches Florida. Originally a tropical storm off Mexico’s coast, Milton is now set for a midweek landfall on the Gulf Coast, expected to stay there for days. Hurricane Helene, which devastated parts of North Carolina, was a Cat 4 storm.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has expanded the state of emergency to 51 of Florida’s 67 counties and stressed the potential for severe consequences in Florida: “From the entire time I’ve been governor, you look at different scenarios, and probably the scenario that was one that is challenging in terms of the damage, would be a major hurricane going into Tampa Bay.”

“When you’re talking about Tampa Bay, and you talk about what even 10 feet of storm surge would do … the greater Tampa Bay area is millions of people.”

State authorities anticipate a mass evacuation similar to that prompted by Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Another storm, Hurricane Kirk, has weakened to a Category 2 storm in the Atlantic, affecting coastal areas from Bermuda northward.

The Biden-Harris Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is currently being criticized for delayed responses to Hurricane Helene, which caused significant fatalities and destruction. Hurricane damage in key swing states could influence voter turnout, with residents of Florida, the Carolinas, and other states potentially facing voting difficulties.

Vice President Kamala Harris could face further campaign difficulties if the federal response to the hurricane is lacking. The storm comes straight on the heels of Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact just last week.

Dem Gov Used Taxpayer Cash for Far-Left Activist Training.

Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro allegedly used taxpayer money to conduct a training event for Democrat-friendly social media influencers. The ‘Democracy Summer Camp’ held on July 25 was designed to educate participants on encouraging their likely liberal audiences to vote and recognizing so-called misinformation online.

The State of Pennsylvania reportedly funded this day-long event, inviting 43 influencers. None of those invited appear to have had Republican sympathies, with approximately 70 percent having openly liberal social media profiles.

The remainder of the influencers came from demographics historically supportive of the Democratic Party, such as college students and African Americans.

Critics, including Pennsylvania State Representative Seth Grove, expressed concern over the event’s partisan nature: “Having the governor’s office use taxpayer funds to only have Democrat social media influencers… is very, very sketchy and was a waste of taxpayer dollars,” he argued.

“That was a cost to the taxpayers to do campaign work. I don’t believe for a second they had any interest in inviting Republicans… it was lopsided and targeted to Democratic influencers.”

Governor Shapiro, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) veteran once considered a front-runner for Kamala Harris’s vice presidential pick, seems to be copying a tactic used by the Biden-Harris regime in recent years by using social media influencers to disseminate Democratic messaging.

This has backfired on the Biden-Harris regime several times, however, including when a transgender influencer named Rose Montoya exposed his faux “breasts” at the White House during a Pride party last year.

The Democrats and allied super PACs have paid over a million dollars to social media influencers to support Democrat campaigns, including President Joe Biden’s, before he dropped out of the presidential race.

Republicans Are Suing Over Current Overseas Voting Rules.

On Monday, five Republican members of Congress initiated legal action against Pennsylvania‘s Secretary of the Commonwealth, Al Schmidt, and Jonathan Marks, the Deputy Secretary for Elections. The lawsuit alleges the swing state officials have “issued directives and guidance to county officials to exempt UOCAVA applicants entirely from any verification requirements,” referring to overseas voters applying for absentee ballots under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).

Reps. Guy Reschenthaler, Dan Meuser, Glenn “G.T.” Thompson, Lloyd Smucker, and Mike Kelly argue that officials are compromising election integrity by inadequately verifying voter identity for military and overseas citizens. Overseas voters are supposed to submit details such as partial Social Security numbers or state-issued driver’s license numbers to have an absentee ballot mailed or emailed to them. However, Marks said in 2022 that there is “no systematic verification” of UOCAVA voters. Pennsylvania Military and Overseas Voters Guidance issued in 2023 also states that UOCAVA voters “are exempt from the Election Code’s ID requirements for absentee voters.”

BAD ACTORS.

UOCAVA voters surged by 74 percent to 890,000 in 2020, and millions more American citizens and dual nationals living overseas remain to be tapped. The Democrats are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into turning out more overseas voters from swing states in 2024—and the process could be open to bad actors if there are few verification checks before a person living abroad can have a ballot sent to them.

“The Commonwealth’s practice is an illegally structured election process which makes Pennsylvania’s elections vulnerable to ineligible votes by individuals or entities who could purport to be UOCAVA-eligible, register to vote without verification of identity or eligibility, but receive a ballot by email and then vote a ballot without providing identification at any step in the process,” the lawsuit argues.

Joe Biden officially won Pennsylvania by just 1.17 percent in 2020.

FEMA Slammed for Preventing, Seizing Aid to Hurricane Helene Victims.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is facing major criticism as the death toll from Hurricane Helene increases to over 200, and some claim the agency is preventing the distribution of aid.

Allegations suggest relief workers remain inactive or are blocking the distribution of necessary aid, with claims initially surfacing from tech billionaire Elon Musk and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fl).

Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, shared information from a SpaceX engineer alleging FEMA’s obstruction of Starlink satellite internet deployment in disaster-struck areas, particularly in Asheville, North Carolina.

According to the engineer, FEMA has reportedly been preventing the distribution of Starlink equipment and local aid, requiring escorts for shipments.

Gaetz further supported this viewpoint, indicating whistleblower reports of mismanagement were rampant across various emergency management levels.

He stated that numerous responders, including those from the Department of Defense, have been left without clear deployment directives, idly stationed in North Carolina.

Gaetz sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claiming that FEMA’s pre-disaster aid delays exacerbated the crisis.

He insisted that funds meant for disaster relief were misused and demanded a thorough account of expenditures, asking whether funds were diverted to assist migrants rather than disaster victims.

Mayorkas previously acknowledged a funding shortfall within FEMA, noting that $1.4 billion was spent over two years on illegal immigrants.

Scientists Sue After Publisher Retracts Papers on Abortion Pill Dangers.

A group of researchers has initiated a legal case against a publisher that retracted several studies on abortion pill risks, claiming the studies were removed due to political motivations.

Ten researchers from the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute initiated legal proceedings against Sage Publishing, alleging that Sage violated contract laws in California when the journal withdrew three studies, including two regarding abortion pill risks, earlier this year.

The lawsuit aims to prompt Sage to enter arbitration regarding these retractions, which were implemented in February. Dr. James Studnicki, vice president and director of data analytics at the institute, asserted that the retractions damaged the authors’ reputations and contravened scientific publication ethics.

Sage’s official retraction notice mentioned that an independent review was triggered by a reader’s complaint alleging misleading data and authors’ affiliations with the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute.

Dr. Studnicki, who was also removed from the editorial board of Sage’s Health Services Research and Managerial Epidemiology journal months before the retractions, criticized Sage’s actions as politically motivated.

One of the challenged studies, published on November 9, 2021, cited a 500% increase in emergency room visits linked to chemical abortions from 2002-2015, based on Medicaid data.

Another study from May 2022 examined repeated ER visits among women who did not inform their physicians of undergoing chemical abortions. These studies were referenced in federal court decisions about mifepristone’s FDA approval suspension.

Abortion pill dangers were highlighted last month when Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris falsely claimed a woman in Georgia died due to an abortion ban but was actually killed as a result of using mifepristone.

Despite the dangers, pharmaceutical retailers like CVS and Walgreens announced earlier this year they would be dispensing the drug.

Even CNN is Ripping on Tim Walz Over ‘Waste, Fraud, and Abuse.’

A series of state audits in Minnesota highlight fraud and mismanagement under Governor Tim Walz, running mate to Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Governor Walz is facing criticism not just for the sheer number of scandals on his watch but also for his failure to hold anyone accountable for them, even from CNN.

In a report titled ‘As fraud scandals erupt in Minnesota on Gov. Tim Walz’s watch, accountability is in short supply,’ the Democrat-supporting network says nonpartisan state auditor Judy Randall’s warnings around “troubling examples of waste, fraud, and abuse” have been “repeatedly minimized or dismissed.”

The scandals are not minor. One saw bonus checks intended for those on the front lines of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic taken by the wrong people. Another saw the Muslim-dominated Feeding Our Future charity steal around $250 million in assistance intended to help feed needy children during the pandemic, the largest such fraud scheme nationwide.

It is not only the auditor and Minnesota Republicans who are criticizing Walz for his failure to prevent fraud and waste or punish those responsible. CNN quotes state Senator Ann Rest—a Democrat—as complaining during one hearing on the Feeding Our Future scam, “The buck is still running down the street and stopping nowhere, and that is unacceptable.”

The Walz government also suffers from general incompetence, presiding over around $1.5 billion in cost overruns connected to a light rail project, for instance.

Even CNN Admits Jack Smith’s Latest Lawfare is Just Straight Up Election Interference.

The Biden-Harris Department of Justice’s (DOJ) special counsel, Jack Smith, is giving up on trying to jail President Donald J. Trump, retooling his prosecution to interfere in November’s election instead, according to one of CNN’s top legal commentators.

According to analyst Elie Honig, Smith’s 165-page legal brief against Trump’s presidential immunity claim filed in federal court earlier this week is an “unprincipled, norm-breaking” attempt to “chip away at Trump’s electoral prospects.”

“At this point, there’s simply no defending Smith’s conduct on any sort of principled or institutional basis,” Honig writes in a scathing essay for New York Magazine. The former assistant U.S. Attorney and corporate news legal commentator slams Smith’s highly politicized filing, writing: “‘But we need to know this stuff before we vote!’ is a nice bumper sticker, but it’s neither a response to nor an excuse for Smith’s unprincipled, norm-breaking practice.”

Honig notes that Smith, who has largely led the Biden-Harris government lawfare campaign against Trump, twisted U.S. legal norms to ensure his presidential immunity brief—full of salacious and partisan accusations—would be made public prior to the presidential election. The CNN legal analyst contends that the DOJ special counsel has turned criminal procedure on its head by preemptively filing the brief—with the permission of far-left U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan—before Trump’s legal team made any motions on the immunity matter. Chutkan cleared the Smith legal brief despite acknowledging in court that it was “procedurally irregular.”

‘PREJUDICIAL LEGALLY & POLITICALLY.’

“Smith’s proactive filing is prejudicial to Trump, legally and politically. It’s ironic. Smith has complained throughout the case that Trump’s words might taint the jury pool,” Honig observes, adding: “Yet Smith now uses grand jury testimony (which ordinarily remains secret at this stage) and drafts up a tidy 165-page document that contains all manner of damaging statements about a criminal defendant, made outside of a trial setting and without being subjected to the rules of evidence or cross-examination, and files it publicly, generating national headlines.”

He concludes, insinuating that Smith has likely traded the viability of his prosecution to directly interfere in the election instead: “You know who’ll see those allegations? The voters, sure—and also members of the jury pool.”
