The National Archives will reportedly release over 62,000 pages of records to the House Oversight Committee, following requests by Chairman James Comer. Information within these records reportedly includes the use of email aliases by President Biden and documents associated with Hunter Biden. The records are expected to be transferred to the aforementioned committee in the near future, supplementing the already disclosed 20,000 pages from Biden’s vice-presidency.
Comer requested unredacted emails between Biden and Hunter Biden’s business partners in September, seeking unrestricted access to records from the National Archives titled, “Records on Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Their Foreign Business Dealings.”
The committee first became aware of these records through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by America First Legal. Comer’s request also included any documentation or communication featuring a pseudonym for Joe Biden as a sender, recipient, or included within the communication’s contents.
Comer has emphasized the necessity for complete compliance from the White House, stating that any hindrance amounts to obstruction. Comer’s comment came after recent whistleblowing actions from two IRS employees, who revealed that Joe Biden utilized email aliases while vice president to correspond with his son as well as his son’s business associate, Eric Schwerin.
