Pro-Israel PAC Says It’ll Keep Funding Bob Menendez’s Re-Election Campaign.

Only one major donor is publicly standing by the embattled Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ). NORPAC, a political action committee dedicated to promoting U.S.-Israeli relations, told its donors after news of Menendez’s indictment broke “It is our intention to continue to support his re-election efforts.” NORPAC has so far raised half-a-million in cash for Menendez’s 2024 re-election bid.

Since being elevated to the U.S. Senate in 2006, Menendez has cultivated a who’s-who of powerful corporate donors including Goldman Sachs, Pfizer, Merck, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Other than NORPAC, most of Menendez’s major donors have remained silent as to whether they’ll continue to contribute to his political campaign. Jon Kaiden, founder of Baleon Capital, appears to be the only major donor to publicly announce that he will no longer contribute to Menendez’s re-election bid.

Over half of the Democrat members in the U.S. Senate have now called on Menendez to resign from public office. Despite the calls the New Jersey Democrat has remained defiant, telling reporters at a press conference on Monday that he intends to fight the federal indictment for bribery and corruption against him while running for re-election in 2024. When Menendez entered a ‘not guilty’ plea when he was arraigned in federal court on Wednesday.

Last week, Sen. Menendez was indicted by a federal grand jury over allegations of public corruption involving attempts to influence a federal prosecution, as well as participating in a foreign influence operation. The federal indictment alleges Menendez and his wife Nadine received payments in cash, gold bars, and a luxury vehicle for working to disrupt the prosecution of long-time donor and associate Jose Uribe and for acting as an unregistered foreign agents on behalf of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

UN Lashes Out at France For Banning Islamic Headscarves At 2024 Paris Olympics.

The United Nations (UN) has lashed out at France’s recent decision to ban the wearing of Islamic headscarves for athletes competing in the Paris Olympics next year.

Marta Hurtado, a spokeswoman for the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, argued on Tuesday that “No one should impose on a woman what she needs to wear, or not wear” adding, “Discriminatory practices against a group can have harmful consequences.”

Her statement followed France’s Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra’s argument that the decision was taken to reflect the nation’s commitment to its strong secularist principles. Oudéa-Castéra’s Ministry claimed in a statement in response to the UN’s criticism on Tuesday: “[Muslim women] may not wear a headscarf (or any other accessory or garment expressing their religious affiliation) when representing France in a national or international sporting competition.”

Notably, France is the sixth largest contributor to the UN, paying $128 million, or just under five percent of the organization’s annual budget.

The French government has made an increased effort to integrate Muslim women and girls into society, such as ruling last month that girls cannot wear the Islamic “abaya” in schools.

Chinese Hackers Steal 60,000 Emails From US State Department.

Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked hackers stole roughly 60,000 emails from multiple State Department and Department of Commerce accounts earlier this summer, impacting 25 United States entities, according to a Senate staff briefing on Wednesday.

The focus of the hack was to grab information on Indo-Pacific diplomatic relations and discussions, as nine out of the ten accounts broken into belonged to staffers working on those areas of policy, with the other account focused on European diplomacy. The information stolen included the employees’ travel itineraries and diplomatic deliberations.

Hackers also managed to infiltrate the account of Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, though the extent of the breach is still unclear.

Officials at the State Department explained that the hackers obtained access to the accounts after using a token stolen from a Microsoft engineer – a statement corroborated by Microsoft.

The United States was quick to blame China for the hack, though the CCP denied any responsibility.

An anonymous State Department spokesman said the agency “takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard its information and continuously takes steps to ensure information is protected. Like every large organization with a global presence, we closely monitor cybersecurity conditions.”

Fox/Univision Promoted Illegal Migrant Amnesty at GOP Debate.

Fox and Univision swerved even further to the left last night, with the network pushing the idea of implementing a mass amnesty for illegal aliens and finding a “solution” for so-called “Dreamers” at the latest GOP primary debate.

Moderator Ilia Calderón, a foreign journalist, introduced a truncated clip of Ronald Reagan talking about an amnesty for illegal aliens in 1984, ultimately extended to some three million migrants three years later.

Addressing Chris Christie specifically, the Colombian noted he had supported a so-called “path to citizenship” for illegal aliens as Governor of New Jersey, only to change his position during his failed presidential run in 2016. “Where do you stand now on a path to citizenship on 11 million of undocumented immigrants [sic]?” she asked.

The segment confirmed news Fox was attempting to “shift candidates to the left” on immigration first broken by The National Pulse editor-in-chief, who warned conservatives the network intended to try and use old footage of Ronald Reagan to bolster its pro-amnesty agenda.

While Christie dodged the question, Calderón was back to pushing similar talking points later in the debate, insisting that Dreamers – illegal aliens brought to the United States as youths and granted status under Barack Obama’s unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy – “work  and pay taxes”, and asking Mike Pence if he would “work with Congress to reach a permanent solution for Dreamers.”

Like Christie, Pence did not answer the question, resorting to vague platitudes about “our broken immigration system” before moving on to irrelevant commentary on China and spending levels in Florida under Ron DeSantis.

Top DeSantis Influencer EJECTED From GOP Debate After Harassing Kari Lake.

Florida blogger and Ron DeSantis campaign influencer Chris Nelson was ejected from the Republican primary debate in Simi Valley, California after harassing Kari Lake and other debate guests. In the hours prior to the event, Nelson posted a series of videos to X (formerly Twitter) that show him shouting at Lake and others. In one video, he can be heard ranting about former President Donald Trump – suggesting his supporters intend to make him ‘Emperor of the United States.’

Nelson has become a fairly regular figure among the DeSantis campaign’s online trolls, routinely attacking Trump supporters. Sources close to Nelson have told The National Pulse he receives his marching orders to behave in such a manner directly from Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’s “Rapid Response Director” who is also a registered foreign agent and amnesty advocate.

Nelson was a key figure in an online mob of pro-DeSantis accounts that celebrated the indictment of former President Donald Trump – other pro-DeSantis accounts even insinuated that Trump supporters would be joining him in prison. The same troll army recently attempted to weaponize Hurricane Idalia, falsely claiming President Donald Trump instructed his supporters — including a new mother in Congress — to not appear with the Florida Governor or promote the state’s response to the storm.

In 2017, Nelson’s ex-wife filed a restraining order against Nelson, whom she then accused of domestic battery. It appears Nelson has been legally barred from owning a firearm under the Baker Act due to drug and alcohol abuse, as well as mental health issues.

China-Linked Firm Raked In $2bn Of YOUR Tax Dollars With Fraudulent PPP Loans.

Womply, a Silicon Valley-based financial technology company, is alleged to have pulled in $2 billion in U.S. taxpayer dollars during the COVID-19 pandemic through defrauding the U.S. government by processing blatantly fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. An ongoing court battle over Womply’s complicity in financial fraud has now revealed that some of those tax dollars were likely passed on to one of the company’s key investors, Chinese tech conglomerate Tencent.

The Paycheck Protection Program was set up in the early days of the pandemic in an effort to prevent mass layoffs and an economic recession. The $800 billion program allowed American businesses to secure loans to keep workers on payroll despite commerce being essentially shut down by state governments. All-in-all 11 million loans were issued through PPP.

Financial technology companies like Womply served as middlemen, supposedly aiding business in filing out and filing paperwork to receive a PPP loan – with most profiting by collecting a processing fee based on the loan amount. The relatively ‘easy’ money these companies could make from processing large loans, however, became a major vector for fraud and abuse. Womply’s fraud prevention mechanisms were described by Florida-based lender Benworth as having been “put together with duct tape and gum.”

Womply’s activities raise even more questions and concerns now that it has come to light that China’s Tencent, which owns WeChat and TikTok, is one of its stakeholders. In 2020 the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency determined Tencent was backed financially by the Chinese government’s Ministry of State Security. Not only may Womply have defrauded the U.S. government, it may have ultimately helped the China profit from U.S. taxpayers at the height of the pandemic.

BLM Activist Convicted of Fraud After $37,000 in Donations Disappear.

A Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist who organized a 2020 riot in which a historic statue was torn down and cast into a harbor has pleaded guilty to fraud, after some £30,000 (~$37,000) in donations disappeared.

Xahra Saleem, formerly Yvonne Maina, co-founded the All Black Lives (ABL) Bristol group in the United Kingdom, and raised money ostensibly to provide masks for BLM protesters and fund a trip to Africa for poor youths via a GoFundMe page called BristBLM. A court heard this week, however, that she “dishonestly abused [her] position intending to make a gain, namely used the funds raised for [herself].”

Saleem, who attended court with her face almost entirely obscured by an Islamic face veil, was also hit with a charge related to a ‘Bristol Protesters Legal Fees’ fundraising page, set up in the wake of a BLM riot in which a statue of Edward Colston, a merchant and parliamentarian once hailed as a great philanthropist, was ripped down over his then-unremarkable ties to the slave trade, considered legitimate in both Europe and Africa when he was born in the 1600s.

Saleem will return to court for sentencing on October 31st.

Teen Smuggles Himself & 58 Others In After Watching TikTok Clips Abetting Migrants.

A Sudanese teenager managed to smuggle himself and 58 other illegal migrants into the United Kingdom via a small boat across the English Channel after he watched multiple instructive TikTok videos, despite the British government having pressured the CCP-owned social media company to suppress such illicit content.

Abdul Basset Ahmed, 18, told the police he was in control of the boat throughout the journey until it was intercepted by Border Force, for which he was given a €600 discount.

Ahmed, who was quickly apprehended and brought before the Canterbury Magistrate’s Court, claimed that he “did not know it was illegal to pilot a boat but he knew he was entering the UK illegally on August 14th 2023.

The court also heard that the 18-year-old left Sudan for Tunisia before traveling through multiple “safe countries” before reaching the Northern French coast from which he crossed illegally into the UK.

TikTok agreed to an initiative introduced by the British government in cooperation with the National Crime Agency to remove videos encouraging illegal migration just eight days before Ahmed embarked. Some of the videos circulating promote multiple illegal routes into Britain by way of inflatable boat, lorry, or plane, and offer discounts, and forged documents.

The teenager has since been sentenced to two years imprisonment – though not deportation – for his actions. Indeed, 44 of 59 people who illegally landed last month, including Ahmed, have applied for asylum.

Switzerland Closed Its Border With Italy This Week Amidst Another Migrant Surge.

Switzerland has closed its borders with Italy and introduced heavy restrictions on movement from other countries following the recent influx of illegal migrants in Europe.

The Swiss Federal Office of Customs and Border Security (UDSC) claimed the decision was a precautionary measure after the French and Austrian governments similarly restricted movement on their borders with Italy last week. The only remaining Italian neighbor to keep its frontier open is Slovenia, as it is not a preferred location by African or Middle Eastern migrants.

The Swiss government was further encouraged to act by the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, with the region regularly appealing for more assistance in its efforts to accommodate increasing numbers of migrants who arrived in the country after it reached its processing capacity. The federal government has stationed more border security guards on the region’s Italian borders as a result.

Switzerland, although not a member of the European Union, is a part of the Schengen Area, which requires it to maintain an open border with other signatories to the agreement and permit the free movement of over 400 million EU citizens and non-EU nationals residing within the bloc.

Over 125,000 illegal migrants have arrived in Italy since the beginning of this year – double last year’s figure. Tens of thousands have landed in Lampedusa, requiring the tiny Mediterranean island of just 6,000 inhabitants to declare a state of emergency over the past several weeks.
