Star Witness Against Texas AG Ken Paxton Admits Many Impeachment Charges Not True.

A key witness for the prosecution in the impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has admitted many of the charges made against the AG have no foundation. Ryan Vassar – a former aide – was pressed under cross-examination by Paxton’s defense attorney Mitch Little, wherein he admitted many of the claims made in the articles of impeachment appeared to be false. The star witness also confessed that he had reported Paxton to the FBI with no actual evidence of crimes.

WATCH:

The Paxton defense team’s cross-examination of Vassar undermined additional charges made in the articles of impeachment, with Vassar saying he was not aware of any instances of Paxton improperly accessing undisclosed records in his office.

The Texas House of Representatives voted to approve 20 articles of impeachment against the conservative Attorney General in May, despite Republicans holding the legislative majority. Former President Donald Trump called the impeachment of Paxton “very unfair” and has promised to fight against the Texas Republicans who let it proceed.

Backing Down: DeSantis Official Says ‘Strong Second’ is Ok In Iowa.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is facing a significant gap in both national and Iowa polls compared to former President Donald Trump, according to a campaign official. DeSantis had hoped to use Iowa as a launchpad for his campaign but has fallen behind Trump in the state. A recent poll found that 51 percent of likely GOP caucus-goers in Iowa chose Trump as their top choice, while DeSantis trailed at just 14 percent.

The two men appeared at the Cy-Hawk game on Saturday, with Trump receiving massive cheers alongside a smattering of jeers, while DeSantis scarcely attracted an audience beyond the staffers paid to accompany him.

“We believe it’s already a two-person race,” a top DeSantis campaign staffer told POLITICO this week. “But the reality is, on the ballot there are other choices, and our goal is to get this down to a two-person race on the ballot, especially as we head into South Carolina and beyond into March… a strong second-place [in Iowa] gives us an opportunity to go in[to] New Hampshire and show success.”

The Never Back Down Super PAC claims to have received commitments from over 12,000 Iowans to caucus for DeSantis and has already spent $5.5 million on TV ads. They plan to allocate nearly $30 million for ads, mailers, and direct voter contact in Iowa and New Hampshire before Thanksgiving.

UK Parliament Staff Arrested for China Spying.

Two men have been arrested under the UK‘s Official Secrets Act on suspicion of spying for China. One of the men, in his 30s, was detained in Oxfordshire on March 13, while the other, in his 20s, was arrested in Edinburgh.

The parliamentary researcher at the center of the allegations had links to several senior Conservative Members of Parliament, including security minister Tom Tugendhat and foreign affairs committee chairman Alicia Kearns. The arrests were made by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, which is investigating the case.

Searches were conducted at the residential properties of both men as well as at a third address in east London. The men were held at a south London police station and have been bailed until early October. Security minister Tom Tugendhat reportedly had no contact with the researcher since before he became security minister in September 2020. Foreign affairs committee chairman Alicia Kearns declined to comment but highlighted the need to ensure the work of the authorities was not jeopardized. The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China pressure group expressed concern at the infiltration of the UK parliament and called the allegations a serious escalation.

New Mexico’s Gov Suspends Gun Rights, Says Constitutional Oath ‘Not Absolute’.

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, issued an emergency order on Friday suspending the right to carry guns in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days. The decision comes in response to recent instances of gun violence, including the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy outside a minor league baseball stadium earlier this week. The order, classified as an emergency public health order, applies to open and concealed carry in most public places, excluding police and licensed security guards. Violators could face civil penalties and fines up to $5,000.

Quizzed on the unconstitutionality of the order, Grisham stunningly responded: “No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute.”

Grisham acknowledged her order will face legal challenges, with Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen stating concerns over violating constitutional rights and potential civil liability conflicts for his deputies.

This latest order follows a series of gun control measures signed by Governor Lujan Grisham, including a “red flag” law and a ban on gun possession for domestic violence offenders. As part of the emergency order, state regulators will conduct monthly inspections of firearms dealers statewide to ensure compliance with gun laws. The state Department of Health will also conduct a report on gunshot victims in New Mexico hospitals, aiming to gather demographic and firearm-related data to inform future policies.

WATCH: DeSantis’ Campaign Will Be Described as an ‘Historic Clusterf*ck’.

Editor of the National Pulse Raheem Kassam believes Ron DeSantis‘ 2024 presidential nominee campaign will go down in American history as an “historic clusterfuck,” after the Florida Governor’s campaign has completely failed to gain momentum and alienated swatches of voters.

Speaking to Donald Trump Jr on his “Triggered” podcast,  Kassam explained that historians will likely see the campaign as “maybe the biggest fail in modern American political history given the great expectations.”

“I think probably the best way to describe it is an historic cluterf*ck, I think that’s probably as accurate as you can be with it.”

– Raheem Kassam, September 2023.

Kassam – perhaps the only political pundit to accurately predict how DeSantis’s campaign would go – also explained how he foresees the Florida Governor’s chief strategist Jeff Roe, selling off his ‘Axiom’ consulting firm after the presidential campaign.

Governor Kristi Noem Endorses Trump.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is set to endorse Donald J. Trump at a rally in the Mount Rushmore State on Friday, praising him as a President who “shows up”.

“We’ve invited many other people to come to our state and talk to us, and they keep saying how insignificant South Dakota is,” she said.

“It’s not important to be in South Dakota right now; they want to be in Iowa or New Hampshire. And what I love about President Trump is he has said: ‘I will be there.’ He doesn’t ever overlook the little people, he doesn’t say states like South Dakota aren’t important, she said.

Governor Noem has championed election integrity since 2020, including paper ballots and voter ID, and recently signed a series of bills strengthening elections in her state even further.

She was also a much fiercer opponent of lockdown measures during the Wuhan virus pandemic than Trump rivals such as Ron DeSantis, despite the Floridian’s increasingly contested reputation as the key figure in pushing back against restrictions.

GA Grand Jury Wanted Charges Against Sitting U.S. Senators for their Opinions.

The Georgia special grand jury that recommended charges against former President Donald Trump also sought charges against United States Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), as well as former Senators David Purdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), according to the now-public special grand jury report. The document recommended the three prominent Republican lawmakers be charged for their involvement in an “…effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election… in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.”

Empaneled in May of 2022 to investigate alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia, the special grand jury examined evidence and heard testimony from 75 witnesses over a period of nearly seven months. When the investigation concluded, the special grand jury recommended charges against 39 individuals for attempting to in the 2020 election and offering a ‘false’ slate of presidential electors.

In Georgia, special grand juries differ from a ‘normal’ grand jury, serving only an investigatory purpose and lacking the power to issue actual indictments. The recommendations resulted in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis convening a grand jury which handed down indictments of Trump and 18 other individuals last month.

Senator Graham, as well as former Senators Purdue and Loeffler, were among the 20 individuals recommended be charged by the special grand jury who were not indicted in District Attorney Willis’s RICO prosecution of former President Trump for alleged interference in the 2020 presidential election.

NYPost Claims Trump ‘Getting Smoked’ In Primary He’s Winning By Historic Margins.

The New York Post, owned by globalist billionaire Rupert Murdoch, is risibly claiming that former President Donald Trump is “getting smoked” in the 2024 Republican presidential primary – despite Trump leading by double-digit margins in the polls. Columnist Karol Markowicz acknowledges Trump leads in the Republican field, but argues: “[t]he comparison shouldn’t be to candidates in past elections but to incumbents,” adding that if Biden polled similarly, “…he’d be shoved off the stage.”

That’s not how primary polling or elections work, however. Markowicz is a supporter of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, though fails to declare her allegiance in the article published in the paper that carries a Ukraine flag on its front page.

Media properties owned by Murdoch have stepped up attacks on former President Trump since the 2022 mid-term elections. Just two days after the election the New York Post‘s cover page read “Trumpty Dumpty”, blaming Trump for Republicans underperforming expectations. The Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal called Trump “the Republican Party’s Biggest Loser.”

Murdoch himself has made clear his disdain for Donald Trump, calling the former President’s claims that 2020 presidential election was stolen “a huge disservice to the country” and “Pretty much a crime.” The billionaire media mogul insisted to executives at the Fox News, another media property he owns, that Trump was becoming “increasingly mad” while predicting: “In another month Trump will be becoming irrelevant and we’ll have lots to say about Biden, Dems, and appointments.”

In response to Murdoch attempts to derail his 2024 presidential run, Trump hasn’t minced words. In a video posted on Truth Social, Trump said: “Fox News and the Wall Street Journal fight me because Murdoch is a globalist… And I am America First. It’s very simple, and it will always be that way, so get used to it.”

CA to Fine School Boards for Resisting LGBT Pedo Curriculum.

The California Legislature has passed legislation empowering bureaucrats to sanction school boards that withdraw explicit books from schools or resist indoctrinating children with far-left gender, racial, and sexual ideology.

Despite its Democrat supermajority, the Golden State is home to many conservative enclaves, one of which recently tried to refuse to teach children lessons centered on Harvey Milk, a gay rights activist who groomed a 16-year-old in New York in his mid-thirties. The age of consent in New York is 17, while in California it is 18.

Governor Gavin Newsom hit the Temecula Valley Unified School District with a $1.5 million fine in retaliation, and the new bill the legislature has put on his desk, AB 1078, further increases the authorities’ powers to punish non-compliant conservatives.

“California is the true freedom state: a place where families – not political fanatics – have the freedom to decide what’s right for them,” the Governor declared as the bill was being passed, despite the fact it is clearly aimed at stopping conservatives from opting out of a particular poltiical agenda.

“All students deserve the freedom to read and learn about the truth, the world and themselves,” he added.
