Almost 99% of COVID Deaths Not Caused By COVID.

Almost 99 percent of all the weekly COVID deaths recorded in the United States do not list coronavirus as the principal cause of death, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The CDC COVID-19 dashboard shows that only 1.7 percent of the 324 registered COVID deaths attributed the virus as the leading cause for the week ending August 19. Instead, the virus has been recorded as a secondary cause in the vast majority of cases.

Despite this, a number of institutions and organizations are rushing to reimpose the same COVID restrictions seen at the height of the pandemic, including mask mandates, social distancing, and limited social interactions. Rutgers University and Morris Brown College both announced the reimposition of restrictions last week, followed by Hollywood movie giant Lionsgate – though the latter quickly dropped the requirements.

President Joe Biden has also requested additional funding from the U.S. Congress to develop a new coronavirus vaccine, despite the CDC admitting that the jab does not stop transmission.

Biden Panics Over Black Voter Support. And With Good Reason.

President Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign is facing declining support amongst black voters, amidst growing indications that his likely opponent, former President Donald Trump, is gaining momentum with the same demographic.

Two recent polls from Quinnipiac and Fox News show a significant increase in black support for former President Trump in a 2024 rematch with Biden – with the former President garnering 20 percent compared to just 8 percent in 2020. The Quinnipiac poll also indicates that over a third of the Black electorate – 35 percent – has an unfavorable opinion of President Joe Biden.

These recent polls are reinforcing a fear in the Biden campaign that the President is facing declining enthusiasm among one of his core voter demographics. Biden’s failure to deliver on his 2020 campaign promises has forced Democrats to abandon positive messaging and instead focus on trying to place blame for policy failures on Republicans as well as stoke fear about the future of ‘democracy’.

Appearing at a recent town hall hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus, Vice-President Kamala Harris told attendees, “We are looking at a full-on attack on our hard-fought, hard-won freedoms.” Regarding the 2024 election, Harris added, “So much is at stake, including our very democracy.”

The Biden campaign co-chair, Cedric Richmond, believes the campaign needs to pin much of the President’s policy failures on the U.S. Supreme Court, “It’s the court that just rolled back equity, and we’re going to point to it.” Richmond was referring to the  Court’s recent decisions striking down Biden’s student loan forgiveness program and the landmark ruling against affirmative action.

As for Joe Biden himself, it would seem the President intends to continue to campaign on the state of the U.S. economy, embracing the term ‘Bidenomics.’

Writing in the Washington Post on the anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1963 March on Washington, Biden stated, “Our plan — Bidenomics — is working…we’re advancing equity in everything we do making unprecedented investments in all of America, including for Black Americans.” According to the Quinnipiac poll, nearly 40 percent of Black voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy.

Suarez Out! Miami Mayor Suspends 2024 Campaign.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announced on Tuesday that he is suspending his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, having failed to qualify for the first GOP nomination debate.

The World Economic Forum-linked Republican candidate is the first to drop out of the 2024 race, at least sticking to his own advice which he issued ahead of the debate, that those who do not qualify should exit.

“I have decided to suspend my campaign for President,” Suarez said in a statement, emphasizing his “commitment to making this a better nation for every American remains.”

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise Diagnosed with Blood Cancer.

Republican House Majority Leader Steve Scalise announced Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.

After a few days of not feeling like myself this past week, I had some blood work done. The results uncovered some irregularities and after undergoing additional tests, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a very treatable blood cancer,” the Republican said in a statement.

Scalise said he has already begun treatment for the cancer which should take several months – adding, “I expect to work through this period and intend to return to Washington, continuing my work as Majority Leader and serving the people of Louisiana’s First Congressional District.”

In 2017, James Hodgkinson – a 66-year old political Leftist and Bernie Sanders supporter – opened fire on a Republican practice session for the yearly Congressional Baseball Game. Six people were shot by Hodgkinson, including Steve Scalise who was hit in the hip. Scalise was airlifted to a nearby Washington, D.C. hospital in critical condition. The bullet had shattered bone, damaged organs, and caused severe internal bleeding. Scalise underwent multiple surgeries and spent several weeks in the hospital – eventually making a full recovery.

Rep. Gallagher: Corporate America is Funding the CCP.

Millions of Americans are unknowingly supporting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) through corporate giants, such as  Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) and BlackRock, funneling U.S. taxpayer dollars to companies working on behalf of the Chinese government, according to Representative and Chair of the House Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Mike Gallagher (R-Wi).

Corporates like BlackRock have moved U.S. dollars to Chinese companies that, among other things, produce the CCP’s military aircraft, aircraft carriers, aerospace technology, artillery shells, and advanced nuclear technology.

The Biden government recently issued an executive order entitledExecutive Order on Addressing United States Investments in Certain National Security Technologies and Products in Countries of Concern,” which sought to limit American investment in Chinese-owned companies. Rep. Gallagher argues, although a step in the right direction, it does not go far enough to resolve the challenge.

He suggests the U.S. should push to implement a number of other restrictions on companies investing in China, including banning investments that support and modernize the LPA or forced labor and Uyghur Genocide, addressing all public and private capital outflows that end up in China, delisting and de-indexing Chinese companies supporting the LPA, and guaranteeing the stability of the American financial system.

“We are quite literally funding our own potential destruction – and the executive order, while well-intentioned, won’t stop it. It is up to Congress to erect strong, enduring guardrails around outbound investment in China,” argues Gallagher.

Migrant Who Stabbed 2 Kids Has Charges Dropped Over ‘Mental Illness’.

A 34-year-old migrant-background man who stabbed two young girls in a Berlin school playground has had his case thrown out by the German legal system on the grounds that he is mentally unwell and cannot be held responsible for nearly murdering two children aged seven and eight.

Berhan S. was allegedly in a “psychotic state at the time of the crime due to a mental illness,” according to the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office, which argued he was “incapable of guilt.”

The prosecutor’s office further stated that he apparently heard “voices that ordered him to kill the girls” before he scaled a fence and stabbed two young girls in the neck and chest while the other children “looked on in horror.” Fortunately, neither of the girls died, though both suffered life-changing injuries.

Berhan S. has also had a long criminal history, including stabbing his former girlfriend in 2009. The former girlfriend’s mother told the media that he came from a “strictly Islamic Turkish family” that threatened to murder her if she went to the police.

“Many questions remain unanswered: Was Berhan S. observed by the police? What role does his religious indoctrination play? Why did he hear his voices in front of a Christian school?” States the German writer, Gunnar Schupelius.

Rudy Giuliani’s Upper East Side Apartment Is For Sale.

Former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani has listed his Upper East Side apartment for sale at a price of $6.5 million. The prewar apartment features high ceilings, hardwood floors, and an inviting layout. The dining room is described as ideal for peaceful meals, and pets are welcome in the co-op building.

Giuliani’s lawyer, Adam Katz, presented the listing as evidence of his client’s financial struggles during a court hearing earlier this month, where Giuliani is being sued by Smartmatic and Fox News over false claims of election fraud. Giuliani has faced multiple legal issues recently, including surrendering to authorities in an Atlanta jail in connection with the racketeering case against former President Donald J. Trump.

REPORT: Matt Schlapp Made 6-Figure Offer to Settle Sexual Battery Claims.

American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp allegedly attempted to settle a lawsuit accusing him of sexual battery and defamation, according to The Daily Beast. Multiple sources claimed that Schlapp proposed a settlement offer “in the low six figures” to resolve the lawsuit brought against him and his wife by Republican strategist Carlton Huffman. However, Huffman reportedly rejected the offer and countered with a significantly higher sum, which Schlapp turned down.

Huffman’s lawsuit seeks $9.4 million in damages. Schlapp has denied Huffman’s allegations, but separate claims have surfaced involving unwanted advances toward others in recent years. Publicist Mark Corallo, representing the Schlapp family, denied any settlement offers and emphasized their readiness for trial, expressing confidence in their ability to prevail in court.

The settlement report has sparked discussions about Schlapp’s transparency and how the American Conservative Union (ACU) has handled the accusations against him. Questions have also been raised about the organization’s financial practices. These concerns gained more attention when Charlie Gerow, the vice chairman of the ACU’s board, resigned emphasizing the need for further investigation into the Schlapp accusations and the ACU’s financial situation.

NO GO ZONE: San Fran Arab Bakery Won’t Serve Cops.

An “Arab bakery” in San Francisco, California has declared a policy of not serving anyone who is armed – including police officers.

Reem’s California turned away a policeman who was in uniform, prompting the San Francisco Police Officers Association to post on social media that Reem’s has a “bigoted policy” of “NO COPS ALLOWED”.

The bakery chain later issued a statement on Instagram, saying that their policy is aimed at creating a safe space: “In a time of increasing gun violence – particularly impacting people of color, youth, and queer people – we believe that maintaining a strict policy of prohibiting guns in our restaurant keeps us safer,” they wrote.

“At Reem’s, we aim to provide a space where people can eat delicious Arab food and work together to strengthen our community, without fear of violence or harassment.”

The bakery is currently closed, but says it “can”t wait to reopen our doors very soon and provide the sanctuary space you all deserve.”

GOP Budget Changes Could Push Trump Prosecutions to Post-2024.

Two budget amendments introduced by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) aim to push the two federal and two state prosecutions of former President Donald Trump until after the 2024 presidential election. Clyde says he plans to amend the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies 2024 appropriations bill with language that would “…prohibit the use of federal funding for the prosecution of any major presidential candidate prior to the upcoming presidential election on November 5th, 2024.”

The Georgia Congressman called the four pending prosecutions of Trump “sham indictments”, adding they are “… intended to smear and take down President Trump, as well as hinder his ability to campaign effectively.” Clyde stated that, “One amendment would prevent taxpayer dollars from funding federal prosecutions, while a second would prohibit funding for state prosecutions.”

The upcoming Fall appropriations process will include 12 ‘must pass’ budget bills necessary for funding the functions of the U.S. federal government. Some members of the House Republican Conference view the budget appropriations process as an opportunity to secure the passage of legislative agenda items that would otherwise not pass as stand alone legislation.

Last week the House Freedom Caucus announced their list of demands for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to include in a government funding stop-gap measure when Congress resumes its legislative session after Labor Day. The legislative items include further reductions in federal spending levels, a House Republican border security bill that would fund border wall construction and place additional limits on asylum seekers, and a vague ask to address the weaponization of the DOJ.

The stop-gap funding bill, in the form of a Continuing Resolution, will be needed to fund the government as Congress is unlikely to pass the twelve appropriations bills to fund the government before the start of the new fiscal year on October 1st.
