CPAC Vice Chairman Resigns, Demands Investigation into Matt Schlapp.

Charlie Gerow – a long-time ally of Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) chairman Matt Schlapp – has now resigned from his position as Vice Chairman of CPAC’s parent organization, the American Conservative Union (ACU), as pressure continues to mount on Schlapp over his alleged sexual misconduct and financial irregularities in the group.

His resignation follows several recent resignations of other officers and directors of ACU/CPAC/ACUF, including Treasurer Bob Beauprez, who described a “cancer” metastasizing inside the once-esteemed conservative conference host, exclusively revealed by The National Pulse less than three months ago.

Gerow said on Friday: “It is with deep sadness and true regret that I have joined several of my colleagues in resigning from the Board of ACU/CPAC. I have consistently exercised my fiduciary duties to the organization and always done my very best to fulfill all of my responsibilities to this very vital organization. I know I have done the right things.

“It was a great honor to serve the conservative movement in my leadership roles at CPAC/ACU/ ACUF and I will continue to pray that the difficulties they are encountering will be dealt with openly and honestly.

“Although I will not now be able to participate in the August Board meeting, I am calling on my former colleagues to authorize an independent investigation into the charges against Matt Schlapp, to conduct an independent forensic audit of the organizations finances, to obtain a written opinion of counsel that the organization is in full compliance with its own by-laws and all applicable law and to thoroughly review all the exit interviews of the large number of staff who have recently left CPAC/ACU/ACUF.”

The National Pulse has previously revealed that Schlapp has “gatekept” the CPAC stage, giving friends, allies, and benefactors more prominence and even creating a “do not invite” list that included the Trump family. Schlapp and his wife Mercedes are reported to have discussed reneging on their support for Donald Trump over his position on immigration. The National Pulse also exposed his six-figure donation from a Soros-linked fund.

According to the poll, Trump’s position remains unchanged with 58 percent support among the Republican electorate before the debate and 58 percent support after. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis comes in a distant 2nd place with only 14 percent support – also unchanged from before the debate.

The only two candidates seeing any shift in support were tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Both candidates saw a one percent bump in support, polling at 11 percent and four percent post-debate respectively.

Morning Consult quizzed over 1,256 potential Republican primary voters, with an unweighted margin of error of up to +/-3 percentage points.

In Donald Trump’s absence, Ramaswamy was the candidate who appeared to garner the most press attention. The energetic debater traded barbs with nearly every candidate on stage – having especially heated exchanges with former Governor Christie, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. At least one betting odds bookmaker has Ramaswamy now as the 2nd place favorite for the Republican presidential nomination following his debate performance.

The Morning Consult poll offers little in the way of good news for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Ramaswamy is now only three points back from over taking the Florida Governor for second place. The trend does not bode well for the Florida Governor’s campaign, with several polls over the past two weeks showing the tech entrepreneur and political neophyte Ramaswamy having already pushed DeSantis out of 2nd place contention for the nomination.

British Exec. Mark Thompson, Who Ignored BBC’s Savile Child Sex Abuse Scandal, is Top Choice to Lead CNN.

Mark Thompson, the former CEO of the New York Times and Director General of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), appears to be the front-runner for the top job at CNN. The corporate media outlet has been without leadership after its chairman and CEO, Chris Licht was fired in June after only a year on the job.

Thompson has a controversial history in news rooms – including accusations that he looked the other way during the investigation into child sex abuse BBC star Jimmy Savile. While serving as Director General of the BBC, Thompson became embroiled in a scandal within a scandal, telling media at the time that he was unaware that editor of the British broadcaster’s Newsnight program had abruptly canceled an investigation into decades of sexual abuse of children by network celebrity Jimmy Savile. In the aftermath, Thompson at first claimed he was unaware of the investigation entirely – only to backtrack and admit he did know about it prior to cancellation.

His track record on news judgement isn’t much better. When a Jewish family was gruesomely murdered in their beds by Palestinians terrorists, the news dominated the British press, except at the BBC were broadcasters criticized for ignoring the story entirely. When pressed on the lack of coverage of the Fogel family’s murder in the 2011 Itamar attack, Thompson said his news editors were under tremendous pressure that day and other topics took precedence. He did however offer an apology to BBC views and the Jewish community: “But I do want to say, to all our audience including our Jewish and Israeli audiences here and around the world, we do want to make sure we are fair and impartial. We made a mistake in this instance.”

In at least one regard, CNN might feel like familiar turf for Thompson with one of their former media personalities having been dogged by a workplace sexual offense himself – albeit far less vile than Savile. In 2020, CNN legal analyst Jeffery Toobin was caught masturbating on a Zoom call with colleagues at The New Yorker magazine and New York’s WNYC radio. In the fallout from the incident, Toobin took a brief leave-of-absence from CNN. In 2022, Toobin decided to give it a rest and retired from the network.

Biden, Still Vacationing, Went to Pilates & Got BOOED.

President Biden remains on vacation in Lake Tahoe, Nevada – where he has spent much of the past week at radical environmentalist and billionaire Tom Steyer’s home. The official White House pool report from Friday says Biden arrived at Pelodog Pilates and Cycle around 11am this morning to enjoy a pilates class with his family.

It isn’t the first visit from the first family, with Pelodog’s Instagram account boasting of their visit just a few days ago. Today, when he left the pilates location, the public were scarcely supportive:

Per the Wall Street Journal‘s Annie Linskey, serving as today’s White House pool reporter, the drive from Steyer’s  mansion to the pilaties studio came with “…stunning views of Lake Tahoe.”

Last month, The National Pulse reported that Joe Biden has spent 39 percent of his presidency on vacation. Biden has often been away during international or domestic emergencies, choosing, for example, to vacation during the international crisis of the fall of Kabul in August 2021.

Biden’s most recent vacation was only briefly interrupted when the President and First Lady took a day to travel to the Hawaiian island of Maui to save face after his government offered almost no public comment or support in the three weeks since wildfires ravaged the communities there – killing at least 115 people.

UNREAL: Video Shows Illegals Landing on Jupiter Beach, Florida.

Seventeen migrants have been captured, with stunning video emerging after a boat rammed into a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Marine Unit vessel east of Jupiter Inlet in Florida on Friday morning. Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, has not yet made a comment, believed to be busy campaigning for the Republican nomination in Iowa.

In dramatic video captured by local business owner Joey Fago, a number of people can be seen hurriedly exiting a beached boat as law enforcement descends via helicopter, boat, and on local roads.

The incident is believed to have taken place around 9am. Local media reports “[o]ne of the migrants is Bahamian and 16 others are Haitian, according to U.S. Board Patrol Chief Agent Walter N. Slosar.”

The captain of the boat has been identified as Bazaeluis Francois, 30. His boat is believed to have rammed into the Marine Unit’s vessel, damaging two engines, before taking off.

SPLIT SCREEN: Trump Persecuted by State, DeSantis Roleplays on ‘Field of Dreams’ Movie Set.

While former President Donald Trump was being booked and having his mugshot taken at the Fulton County jail facility, one of his primary opponents, Ron DeSantis, stood in the “Field of Dreams” in Iowa, making for a dramatic “split screen” moment where one candidate is being actively persecuted by the state, while the other – the Florida governor – plays catch on a movie set.

DeSantis was pressed by CBS News reporter Aaron Navarro about President Trump’s arrest, with DeSantis flippantly responding, “Well I’m glad I’m at the Field of Dreams. I’m happy to be here.”

The gaffe is just the latest in a string of tone-deaf responses his campaign has given regarding the Biden government’s political prosecution of former President Donald Trump. Jeff Roe, chief strategist for the pro-DeSantis SuperPAC Never Back Down, responded to question in recent interview regarding the numerous DeSantis campaign restarts stating, “Well, I guess we’ll have as many restarts as they have indictments… I guess is how that will go…” – ‘they’ referring to former President Trump.

The National Pulse has reported on an alarming trend among Ron DeSantis and his campaign surrogates of bashing Trump and his fans – including an incident earlier this week were DeSantis called Trump supporters “listless vessels“. In Iowa, a county chairman for Never Back Down refereed to Trump voters as “degenerates” and said he wouldn’t piss on the former President even if he were on fire.

On social media, a cadre of pro-DeSantis trolls have been celebrating Donald Trump’s arrest – one troll even threatening journalist and National Pulse’s editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam that his own indictment was “coming soon” due to this website’s critical reporting of DeSantis.

confederate memorial

Biden’s Pentagon Intent on Removing Confederate Memorial from Arlington, Despite Opposition.

Americans voiced their opposition to Arlington National Cemetery’s (ANC) decision to remove the Confederate Memorial during a public comment session on Wednesday. The Army is seeking public input as part of the legal process to determine the memorial’s historical significance and how best to dismantle it, following a congressionally-mandated study that found the structure ‘problematic’.

Many participants, including veterans with both Union and Confederate heritage, argued for preserving the memorial, citing its artistic value and symbolic representation of reconciliation. Some expressed concern that removing the memorial would lead to division rather than unity. However, some still supported its removal – asserting that there should be no memorials honoring those who fought against the United States.

The Naming Commission, established by Congress in 2021, is tasked with identifying and removing names, bases, and other Department of Defense assets that honor the Confederate States of America or individuals who voluntarily served for the Confederacy. The Pentagon’s final report recommended removing the bronze upper part of the memorial while leaving the granite base intact to avoid disturbing graves. However, commenters contended that the memorial commemorated the movement towards reunification after the Union’s victory, rather than glorifying the Confederacy. Critics also argue that dismantling the memorial would destroy a monument symbolizing peace, harmony, and reconciliation. ANC will host a virtual public scoping meeting on August 23rd to gather further comments on the removal and relocation of the Confederate Memorial’s statue and bronze elements.

Opposition to the removal of the Confederate Memorial centers on its historical and sentimental value, as well as the fact that it serves as a grave marker for some buried at Arlington. Moses Ezekiel, a Jewish-American Confederate veteran and Virginia Military Institute cadet, is buried at the base of the memorial, according to ANC’s website. Some opponents of the memorial’s removal have accused the decision of being antisemitic based on Ezekiel’s Jewish roots.

School District Charges Parents $18K for LGBT Policy Info.

The Montgomery County School District in Maryland rescinded their opt-out policy for parents who did not want their children partaking in the district’s gender and sexuality curriculum. When Nicole Neily, president of Parents Defending Education, made a records request for “opt-out” records, the district said it would cost $20,000 and won’t be available until October 2nd.

Public record requests in Maryland are governed by the Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA). The MPIA dictates government agencies may only charge a “reasonable fee” for processing records requests, with the goal being “…neither to make a profit nor to bear a loss on the cost of providing information to the public,” according to the Maryland Attorney General’s website.

In a further blow to Montgomery County parents, a U.S. District Court judge denied a request to reinstate the school district’s opt-out policy. Parents argued that the Montgomery County School District had violated their rights as parents to guide their child’s religious instruction.

Judge Deborah Boardman wrote in her opinion that, “…the plaintiffs’ asserted due process right to direct their children’s upbringing by opting out of a public-school curriculum that conflicts with their religious views is not a fundamental right.”

Judge Boardman also denied the parents’ request for a preliminary injunction which would have allowed for the opt-out policy to at least continue for this school year.

BBC Publishes Pedo Report, Then EDITS to Remove Pride, Drag History.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has been caught repeatedly doctoring a report about a man convicted for attempting to have sex with a 14-year-old boy, scrubbing it of references to the fact the suspect is a Pride organizer and drag queen.

Sixty-one-year-old Andrew Way of Clwyd Wen in Wrexham, Wales, was described as an “ex-drag queen” in the original post from the publicly-funded broadcaster. The National Pulse confirmed, however, that when readers clicked through to the article, the headline changed from ‘Ex-drag queen caught in paedophile hunters’ sting operation’ to ‘Man caught in paedophile hunters’ sting operation’.

The text of the article also no longer contained any reference to Way being a drag queen, although it did confirm the pedophile “had also been organising the first-ever gay Pride event for Welshpool, Powys.” Hours later, The National Pulse observed that this, too, had been “stealth-edited” out of the article, with no editor’s notes informing readers of the changes.

The BBC press office has been asked who ordered the article to be doctored to remove these details, and why, but had issued no response as of the time of publication.

Image

Like many suspected pedophiles in the United Kingdom, Way was arrested following a sting by citizen investigators rather than the police. The group in this case is called The Guardian Angels. The BBC did not credit them by name, instead referring to them as “vigilante paedophile hunters”.

Way’s sentencing judge noted he had been previously been handed a sexual harm prevention order in 2007 but had treated it with “utter disregard” and had repeated unsupervised contact with a two-year-old. He was only given a 34-month sentence, however, much of which will be served out of prison on licence.
