DeSantis PAC Chair Pledges to Resign GOP Job If Trump Is The Nominee.

Governor Ron DeSantis’s Super PAC boldly announced 99 new Iowa county chairs last week, leading to revelations that Washington county chair Matt Wells had recently called Trump supporters “degenerates” and told leftist media outlets that he would not “piss on Trump if he was on fire.” Now, another of the Florida Governor’s picks has declared himself a hardline ‘NeverTrumper’, in comments unearthed by The National Pulse.

Ryan Frederick, who chairs the Never Back Down PAC in Adair County, Iowa, described himself as a “party loyalist” in comments to the press, but declared on X (formerly Twitter) that he “will resign as a county party chairman and probably not participate in the party apparatus again until people come to their senses,” in response to a Trump primary nomination.

Frederick, who has lauded the British monarchy “the ultimate form of government” for “national prestige and accumulat[ing] wealth and status through stability,” also railed: “If we think for 5 minutes that Trump is somehow superior to DeSantis, we don’t deserve to have a political party. The man is a farce, and always has been.”

In a comment to The National Pulse, Frederick elaborated: “I wouldn’t say my mind is totally made up on that point, but I’ve been a county party chairman for nearly 20 years, and frankly I think we’re foolish if we think Donald Trump is a better candidate than Ron DeSantis. The most important thing this party has to do right now is to nominate someone who can win the election next year, and the obvious choice is Gov. DeSantis. We have the opportunity to make generational change and to move the Republican Party light years into the future, rather than brooding on the past. If we squander that opportunity, I’m not sure I’ve got energy left to continue at the level I’ve been involved heretofore. Simple as that.”

Several of Never Back Down’s county chairmen in Iowa appear to be NeverTrumpers, including Joel Kurtinitis (Dallas County) who penned lengthy articles against Trump in 2016, and Matt Wells, who has lambasted Trump supporters in worse-than-Clintonian terms as “degenerates”.

Cops Drop Autistic Girl’s ‘Lesbian Offence’ Case, Mother Says She’s Suing.

West Yorkshire Police in England have quietly dropped their criminal investigation into a girl dragged from her home by seven officers and held in custody for 20 hours for saying a policewoman looked like a lesbian, with the mother promising legal action.

The unnamed 16-year-old was arrested for a “homophobic public order offence” after saying without malice that a butch female officer with a man’s haircut looked like her lesbian grandmother. This generated considerable backlash against the force, which already has a poor reputation for its refusal to tackle Muslim rape gangs.

West Yorkshire Police initially put out a statement defending the arrest and insisting video of the incident lacked context. Now, however, they have quietly dropped their investigation into the girl, issuing a statement on social media (with reply functionality turned off) in which they avoided apologizing but appeared to implicitly accept the situation was badly handled, claiming they “appreciate the understandable sensitivities around incidents involving young people and neurodiversity and… are genuinely committed to developing how we respond to these often very challenging situations.”

The autistic girl’s mother has told the press she is seeking “legal advice” and complained that the police refused to allow her to sit in as her daughter’s “appropriate adult” when they interviewed her.

“They were frightened I was going to tell the truth about what the officer had done. That is why I put a complaint straight in,” she said.

“They have obtained bodycam footage. They must have viewed it because I understand the complaint has gone straight upstairs to an official who deals with policing standards on a national basis.”

600-Year-Old Lawyers’ Society Bans Grace Before Meals to Be ‘More Inclusive’.

The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, one of four Inns of Court to which all English barristers (litigators) must belong, is scrapping its centuries-old tradition of saying grace before meals to be more “inclusive”.

For hundreds of years, judges, lawyers, and law students at the Inn offered the following traditional Christian prayer before meals:

“Lord God, Heavenly Father, bless us and these Thy gifts which we receive from Thy bountiful goodness, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.”

This will now be replaced with a secular alternative, to appease atheists, Muslims, and other non-Christians:

“In this moment of silence, let us give thanks for all that we are about to receive and for the company of this Honourable Society.”

The 15th-century institution was clear that the change is designed to purge the “explicitly Christian” language of the traditional prayer in favor of “a non-Christian ‘thanks’ because of our diverse range of members with a different range of beliefs.”

England remains a nominally Christian country, with the monarch swearing Christian oaths and the established Church of England sending bishops to the Upper House of Parliament – but it is secular in practice, with Christians being arrested for offending homosexuals and Muslims.

‘F**king Nazi!’ – Lawmaker Brutally Beaten During Media Demonization Campaign.

Alternative for Germany (AfD) politician Andreas Jurca was rushed to hospital after being brutally attacked in Bavaria as Germany’s political and media establishment – including the country’s President Frank-Walter Steinmeier – continued demonizing his party as “far right” and threatening to ban them.

The campaign of dehumanization from Germany’s political classes appears to be paying off, with AfD politicians now being routinely attacked or smeared. Romanian-born Jurca was left with two black eyes, scratches, multiple other bruises, crutches, and a leg brace. He claims to have been approached by two “foreign males” before being punched and kicked to the ground as the men shouted “f***ing Nazi.”

Jurca announced that the assault would only encourage him to redouble his political efforts in an interview after the event. The Bavarian police have subsequently launched an investigation on suspicion of dangerous bodily injury.

This is not the first instance of an AfD politician being assaulted. Frank Magnitz, former leader of AfD Bremen, was beaten almost to death by left-wing activists in 2019. Since then, anti-AfD rhetoric has only risen following the party’s increase in popularity.

kabul airport attack

Pentagon Knew Kabul Airport Attack Was Coming, Claim Authors.

A new military tell-all book, titled ‘Kabul: The Untold Story of Biden’s Fiasco and the American Warriors Who Fought to the End,’ sheds light on the events that led to the suicide bombing at Kabul airport in 2021 which killed 13 American troops and around 170 Afghan civilians. The incident was seared into the memories of Americans, as they watched Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan unfold before their eyes.

Now, in addition to the murder of random civilians during the withdrawal, authors Jerry Dunleavy and James Hasson claim in the new book that relying on the Taliban for security during the chaotic evacuation set the foundation for a tragic ending. The authors accessed intelligence files that show US officials understood a violent attack or bombing was imminent. Operational decision-makers were too beholden to Taliban security officials, however, which caused missed opportunities to counter the responsible ISIS-K terror cell.

According to co-author James Hasson, mistakes made by leaders in Washington throughout the withdrawal compounded the risk to the troops on the ground. The book details at least two opportunities US forces had to disrupt the attack. Intelligence of an impending ISIS-K attack on American troops manning entry points surfaced nine days before the tragic events at the Abbey Gate.

The threat of an attack was so high, in fact, that Marines were ordered to kneel throughout the night to reduce their exposure to an explosion.

matt wolking

Ron’s Comms Boss Matt Wolking Invented a Trump Camp Quote, then Freaked Out When Challenged.

Matt Wolking, the Strategic Communications Director for the pro-Ron DeSantis Super PAC ‘Never Back Down’, appeared to invent quotes from within the Trump presidential campaign on Monday, before having a very public meltdown after he was quizzed on the matter.

Wolking – on loan from DeSantis campaign chief Jeff Roe’s embattled Axiom Strategies – refused to provide evidence of his claim that the “Trump camp” is “livid” about his meeting with reporter Laura Loomer on Sunday at Bedminster.

The National Pulse’s editor-in-chief, Raheem Kassam, challenged Wolking’s unsourced quote.

Not only could the Never Back Down ‘Strategic Communications Director’ not provide a source for his quote, but Wolking quickly melted down, attacking this conservative news site – The National Pulse – and its Brexit-backing editor.

Prior to joining Jeff Roe’s Axiom – and subsequently the Never Back Down Super PAC controlled by Roe and staffed by Axiom employees – Wolking worked as the deputy communications director on former President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, where he routinely asked for support from The National Pulse and its staff.

Axiom Strategies and the DeSantis Super PAC have been plagued with controversy since the start of the presidential campaign. Intent on alienating masses of conservative voters, the firm is also facing a massive lawsuit in Nevada over accusations of fraudulent campaign work, including falsified and obscene petition signatures.

Roe himself – a long-time Republican establishment consultant – recently offered to pay corporate media start-up ‘Puck’ up to $11 million to stop writing about him.

Trump’s New York Judge – A Biden Donor – Refuses to Recuse Himself.

The judge presiding over the criminal case against former President Donald J. Trump in Manhattan, Judge Juan M. Merchan, is refusing to recuse himself from the proceedings despite his political donations and family connections. The judge rejected all the arguments put forth by Trump’s legal team in a decision dated August 11th and released on Monday.

Merchan, who presided over the trial involving The Trump Organization last year as well as the case against Trump advisor Stephen K. Bannon, donated to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign while his daughter currently works for a marketing firm which helps Democratic Party candidates and openly campaigned for Kamala Harris in 2020.

The trial in Manhattan is scheduled for March 2024, though Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg has indicated a willingness to change the date if requested by other prosecutors involved in cases against Trump.

GOP Strategists Admit They’ll Lose Elections Across America if Trump is NOT the Candidate.

“If somehow he’s not the nominee, it will hurt turnout,” admits GOP strategist Brian Darling of former President Donald J. Trump.

“He’s got a unique coalition. He brings a lot of nontraditional voters to the Republican Party, and it will be difficult to win a state like Ohio if you lose all those Trump voters or make them disaffected voters, and they don’t show up,” Darling added.

The jarring comments – as well as the national polling – both fly in the face of claims made from Trump’s primary opponents, that a Republican candidate other that Trump would have an easier time beating Biden or another Democrat nominee in 2024.

Specifically, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his team have repeatedly made the claims that Trump cannot win the 2024 presidential election. At the same time, officials with DeSantis’s ‘Never Back Down’ PAC have called Trump backers “degenerates” and worse.

“The conventional wisdom is there’s concern that if Trump’s not the nominee, his coalition will take their ball and go home,” added Republican strategist Matt Dole.

The claims are confirmed by Pew Research Center analysis, which shows Republican 2022 midterm election victories were down to higher turnout amongst MAGA voters. In other words: without Trump, there would currently be a Democrat-controlled House of Representatives.

zelensky corruption

Over 75% of Ukrainians Say Zelensky ‘Directly Responsible’ for Corruption.

An overwhelming majority of Ukrainians – 77.6 percent – believe that President Volodymyr Zelensky is ‘directly responsible’ for the prevalent and increasingly recognized corruption at the heart of the Ukrainian government and army, according to a new Ukrainian study from the Democratic Initiatives Foundation (DIF) and the Kyiv International Sociological Institute (KIIS).

The results are not surprising, according to the study’s conductors, who argue that “Zelensky now has the kind of power that no one has had since the Communist era.” Ukraine’s President is responsible for appointing security officials and controlling the government, he possesses an absolute majority in the parliament, and is in control of anti-corruption bodies.

The same study also found that 61 percent of Ukrainian citizens either “very often” or “often” come across reports that problems within the military are preventing the military from fighting the Russians effectively.

Almost two-thirds of those surveyed – 61.7 percent – felt that “corruption in procurement for the needs of the army” was to blame. Only 20.6 percent blamed the unsatisfactory training of Ukraine’s troops. The news follows Zelensky’s firing of all regional heads of military enlistment amidst ongoing investigations. He accused them of “treason”.

DeSantis Falls Behind Vivek in a Second Poll.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has slipped into third place behind former President Donald Trump and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy in a second national Republican primary presidential poll. A new Kaplan Strategies poll has Trump leading the Republican field – with a 37 percent margin over Ramaswamy, the next closest candidate in the primary contest.

The Kaplan Strategies poll is the second poll in less than a week that shows the DeSantis campaign in decline. On August 10th, Cygnal, a Washington, DC based polling firm, showed former President Trump at a commanding 53 percent in a hypothetical national Republican primary. Ramaswamy was in second place with 11 percent and DeSantis in third at 10 percent.

The political analytics and poll aggregator website FiveThirtyEight shows a similar trend to the Kaplan and Cygnal polls (though in their polling average DeSantis still holds a narrow second place lead over Ramaswamy).

Since his glitchy May 24th presidential announcement on X (formerly Twitter), DeSantis has seen very little improvement in any polling. FiveThirtyEight, in fact, shows that since late-June, the DeSantis campaign has been on a steady decline while Trump has continued to capture over 50 percent of the Republican electorate.

DeSantis’s campaign isn’t just plagued by declining poll numbers. Federal Election Committee data shows that DeSantis had just 22 donors who gave over $200 in Iowa (as of early August). The lack of small dollar donors has put the DeSantis presidential campaign committee in a difficult financial spot, with a recent FEC letter indicating that the campaign committee may actually have far less than $6.6 million in cash-0n-hand they have reported.

The National Pulse has previously reported that 2024 general election polling has shifted to show Donald Trump now defeating Joe Biden – meanwhile Ron DeSantis would be defeated by the Democrat incumbent.
