Mermaids, a UK-based trans lobby group, assisted the country’s National Health Service (NHS) in drafting medical guidance which permitted “any children under 12” to be administered hormone blockers.
Susie Green, the chairman of Mermaids, participated in a task force that reviewed services at the Tavistock Clinic, with new guidance subsequently issued, stating: “hormone blockers will now be considered for any children under the age of 12 if they are in established puberty”.
Despite having no formal medical expertise or training, Ms. Green had a direct line to Dr. Polly Carmichael, the director of the Tavistock Clinic, which she leveraged in order to “be regarded as a professional so she could refer children for treatment when their GPs refused.”
Ms. Green sent a number of referrals to the clinic for children “unsupported by their GP.” In one instance, she referred children noting that the general practitioner/family doctor “has consistently refused to refer.”
“The Tavistock were really in thrall to these activists. They were ideologically captured,”said Stephanie Davies-Ari, founder of the Transgender Trend. Green now works for Gender GP, an online service providing cross sex-hormones.
The Tavistock Clinic initially refused to release details of the task force’s meetings, telling the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) the clinic did not have the information. When threatened with a court case, 322 pages were suddenly found, and released.

Sandra Panek, a Republican New Hampshire State Representative, announced a change in her endorsement from the Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis, in favor of former President Donald Trump this week. She argued, “[w]ith DeSantis, you’re getting Trump without the charisma. I want the real deal.”
“After being less than impressed with Ron DeSantis’s official announcement... I am hereby switching my endorsement to President Donald J. Trump. We can’t expect someone to run the country if they can’t properly run their own campaign launch. The stakes are simply too great in 2024 to take a chance on someone as unreliable as DeSantis – we need a proven winner like President Trump to take back the White House and Make America Great Again!”
The announcement, welcomed by the Trump camp, highlights another New Hampshire State Representative, Juliet Harvey-Bolia’s recent endorsement of the 45th President.
“I’m around to announce my full endorsement from President Trump, and only Trump. He’ll’ keep up out of war and prosperous as he has in the past., Ron DeSantis will make a great candidate in 2028. I expect Republicans will unite behind President Trump.”
The DeSantis campaign has already begun a “shake up” in Tallahassee, as reported by The National Pulse. Long-time DeSantis advisor Phil Cox was shown the door this week after a rumored spat with campaign chief strategist Jeff Roe. Roe is a serial loser on the campaign stage nationally, having run campaigns for Rick Perry and Ted Cruz for the White House.

President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reached an agreement ‘in principle‘ on the debt ceiling this week. Though the deal stills needs Congressional approval, Speaker McCarthy lauded it as “worthy of the American people”. The House of Representatives will get just 72 hours to read the legislation concerning trillions of dollars before bringing it to the floor for a vote.
Biden said the deal was a compromise “because it prevents what could have been a catastrophic default and would have led to an economic recession, retirement accounts devastated, and millions of jobs lost.” But the agreement has been referred to as an “utter capitulation” by the likes of Rep Dan Bishop (R-NC), Republican Ralph Norman (R-SC). Norman tweeted the deal was “insanity.”
“We just risked the entire US economy to save $50 billion which is just 0.2% of GDP,” according to a global capital markets newsletter.
Key Points of the Fiscal Responsibility Act.
The federal debt ceiling will be raised by over $4 trillion without cutting any current federal spending;
Defense spending will not be capped, and will stay in line with Biden’s 2024 budget request of $886 billion;
The proposed deal suggests spending will be cut by 0.2 percent of the United States GDP – around $50 billion;
Congress will “claw back” some unspent COVID-19 funds, and cut $400 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) “Global Health Fund” that sends billions to health programs around the world, including China;
Accelerating approval process for energy projects, requiring only one federal agency to review a permit;
A reduction in the $80 billion in Internal Revenue Service (IRS) funding pushed through by the Democrats;
Reforms to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), requiring adults without dependents between 49 and 54 to work for food aid;
Restarting student loan payments, though no start date has been specified.
As it stands, the Republicans who have announced their intention to vote against the bill include Chip Roy (R-TX), Dan Bishop (R-NC), Ralph Norman (R-SC), and Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Tim Burchett (R-TN).
“Utter capitulation in progress. By the side holding the cards,” Bishop said.
“This bill almost guarantees you $4 trillion with no cuts,” said former Trump advisor Stephen K. Bannon on Sunday. “It’s dead on arrival.”
“Any Republican that votes for this—they should primary them because this is nothing but a set of small optics compared to the real problem. The problem that this exacerbates the debt problem because it takes off any limits to what can be added to the debt ceiling. There’s no number, and we know it’s for two years.”

The UK government is attempting to keep valuable information regarding its response to the COVID-19 pandemic out of the public eye. Government ministers are by refusing to provide the UK’s COVID Inquiry with messages sent at the time, raising suspicions over impropriety.
The government has until Monday to provide the information, or take legal action against the inquiry to suppress the release of hundreds of messages sent between government authorities at the time.
Lady Heather Hallett, chairman of the inquiry, has warned that failing to comply with the order to provide the “unredacted messages” would amount to a criminal offence, punishable with a fine, or even imprisonment.
The demanded information includes former Prime Minister Boris Johnson‘s WhatsApp messages, diaries, notebooks, and the messages of senior government figures such as Dominic Cummings, Liz Truss, Michael Gove, Dominic Raab, and Matt Hancock — all of whom were pivotal in decision making.
In March, files containing ministerial correspondence during the pandemic were released, uncovering some awkward information.
The public learned, among other things, that former Health Secretary Matt Hancock discussed “deploying” a new variant for PR purposes, and suggested the government “get heavy with police” to enforce stricter lockdown measures.

Long-time Ron DeSantis advisor Phil Cox is “stepping down” from his role with the Florida governor’s presidential campaign political action committee: the ‘Never Back Down PAC’. The news comes one month after The National Pulse revealed that Cox was also a partner at the parent firm of pro-DeSantis pollster, Gp3, also known as ‘POS Strategies’.
Cox served as the political director for DeSantis’s reelection campaign just last year, and was described as leading “the strategy and messaging for the super PAC.”
A board member for Mitch McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund, Cox’s reason for departure is still unknown, with POLITICO reporter Alex Isenstadt reporting: “Phil Cox is stepping down from his volunteer role at the pro-DeSantis Never Back Down super PAC, per person familiar. People close to Cox say he remains a supporter of DeSantis.”

A bill to ban the administration of so-called “gender-affirming care” to minors has been defeated in the Republican-majority Louisiana Senate, after a Republican state senator with a history of dressing in drag voted against it.
State Senator Fred Mills killed House Bill 648, which would have prohibited “certain procedures to alter the sex of a minor child”, in the Senate Health and Welfare Committee, where Republicans had a majority of one, by siding with the Democrats.
Since the vote, Mills’s history of repeatedly using drag to sell a pharmacy’s products and services – including school uniforms – has emerged, leading some to question his motives in voting down the bill.
“I always in my heart of hearts have believed that a decision should be made by a patient and a physician,” Mills argued in comments quoted by The Hill.
The evidence on which physicians justify transitioning children is currently very thin, however, with major, mainstream reviews in both Norway and Sweden recently recommending that “gender-affirming care” for minors be regarded as “experimental” due to the lack of research on its potentially devastating long-term consequences.
“Gender-affirming care” for minors would not be the first medical procedure to receive the stamp of physician approval before turning out to be medically inadvisable, with lobotomies to treat depression and birth defect-inducing thalidomide to treat morning sickness once common treatments, for example.

Leaked audio has emerged from the DeSantis donor strategy meeting in Miami on Thursday. In the clip you can hear below, DeSantis strategists tell high dollar donors making calls for the campaign that:
DeSantis’s position is keeping abortion decisions at a state level (following Trump’s position);
That the Governor will shift to the middle during a general election;
During the session, the hosts – including DeSantis pollster Ryan Tyson amongst others – can be heard lauding this a “major step forward for the Republican Party in moving to the middle [on abortion].”
There are a number of times throughout the leaked audio that DeSantis’s strategists can be heard telling wealthy donors: “You have to win a primary before you win a general,” – which is political campaign speak for “we’ll move to the middle after we win the nomination.”
In response, DeSantis supporters originally denied the existence of the audio, then claimed it never provided the quotes that can be heard in full, below. Eventually, their claim came to rest on a straw man argument: that Ryan Tyson didn’t make the comments, but that an unnamed donor in the room did. Mr. Tyson was not directly quoted as the source of all the comments in the audio in the first instance.
The full audio can be heard below. The parts on abortion begin at 27 minutes in, and run until 39 minutes in.

Uniparty “Republicans” in Texas have moved through and expedited a legally spurious attempt to impeach the state’s ‘America First’ Attorney General, Ken Paxton, tomorrow. But the so-called “house investigators” who have presented their flimsy case against Paxton are almost all Democrats. The move is eerily similar to when President Donald Trump was investigated by “investigator” Dan Goldman, who dropped all pretenses of legal rectitude after the matter, and now sits as a Democrat Congressman.
In this case, the impeachment proceedings are effectively led by Democrat Ann Johnson, with “Republicans In Name Only” (RINOs) colleagues on the opposite side of the house aiding her effort.
Johnson’s squad boasts five criminal attorneys. Three of the five were fired by their own District Attorneys offices. Three of the five voted Democrat in recent elections.
Erin Epley, the lead counsel, formally left the Republican Party and has voted as a Democrat since 2020. The majority of her political donations have gone to Democrats, with one donation of $50 to a Republican District Court candidate in 2018. She even posted an image of the late, left-wing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s infamous collar on her Facebook profile in 2022.
Donna Cameron, another investigator, was removed from her position by Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos. Voting records indication she cast a ballot in the Democrat primary in 2020.
Terese Buess, another investigator who was removed from her position by Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg, has also voted as a Democrat.
Mark Donnelly was also fired by Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos in 2009, branded “negligent” and “incompetent” on his way out. Donnelly voted in the 2012 Republican primary, as well as in 2022. “While a federal prosecutor, Donnelly worked with U.S. Department of Justice leaders and routinely handled cases jointly with DOJ prosecutors in Washington, D.C.,” says Law360.
Brian A. Benken is the only one of the five who appears to have any real right-leaning sympathies, having donated $221 to Donald Trump in April 2020. Described as “low-key and likeable,” Benken appears to be the only investigator not rocked by his own firings or scandals.
Despite the litany of bias, corporate media sources continue to describe the impeachment as “bipartisan.” Amongst far more, Paxton said in a statement Friday: “The vote is expected to take place Saturday at 1pm. I invite my fellow citizens to peacefully come let their voices be heard at the Capitol tomorrow. Exercise your right to petition your government. Let’s restore the power of our great state to the people.”

Donald Trump’s presidential announcement at Mar-a-Lago last November was viewed by around 4.5 times the number of people as that of Governor Ron DeSantis’s on Twitter this week, according to the data.
DeSantis said his glitch-ridden Twitter Space, or a recording of it, had been watched by “probably over 10 million people”. There’s no evidence of this. In fact, the Space managed only just over 300,000 concurrent listeners, with Twitter showing a currently tally of 3.9 million people tuning in.
Trump’s announcement, despite many news networks not carrying it in full, interspersing it with adverts, or not carrying it at all, achieved millions more concurrent viewers. Fox News alone pulled in over 5.16 million people in the time slot, with CNN piling on 2.43 million more.
The number of people who tuned in after the fact is harder to determine, but some indication of the level of interest in Trump’s annoucement can be determined from looking at the numbers for networks which streamed Trump’s announcement on YouTube: Fox News pulled in 1.2m views, Fox Business another 826,000, and CNBC 612,000, for example.
Video of the full speech uploaded to the site by CNN adds 660,800 viewers, ABC Action News another 923,000, with hundreds of thousands more spread out across channels for relatively obscure broadcasters, with uploads of the speech by the likes of Fox 2 Detroit, for example, boasting 117,000 views. Video streaming platform Rumble showed a further 2.05 million views on the official account of Donald J. Trump alone, while the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) announced that it hit more than 3.8 million viewers for the speech.
Trump again demonstrated this “ratings gold” again in April 2023, with a major speech following his indictment in New York being viewed by 6.6 million viewers on Fox alone, with another 2.125 million watching on CNN – “far higher than the network ha[d] seen in prime time in months,” Forbes observed.
