Joe Biden has expressed his desire for China’s well-being during his visit to Asia, emphasising that his goal is not to contain China but to establish a better relationship with the country.
The comments come against the backdrop of many allegations of bribery and corruption involving Biden, his son Hunter, and a vast swathe of Congressional Democrats and Republicans and their links to the Chinese Communist Party.
The President visited India for the G20 summit before arriving in Vietnam to attempt to entrench the relationship between the two nations.
Biden also said the purpose of building partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region is not to isolate or harm China, stating that such thinking is rooted in Cold War mentality. Biden said he wants to see China succeed economically.

Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson’s former right-hand man, is planning to launch a new right-leaning political party to rival what he calls the “rotten Tory [Conservative] horrorshow”.
Cummings – no stranger to controversy – argues British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has effectively given up governing the country, squandered the Conservative Party’s 80-seat majority in the House of Commons, and has “no message, no political strategy worth spit and no grip on power.”
The new party’s policies would include being tougher on crime, security, and immigration, reducing taxes for working people, slashing the size of the British welfare state, closing loopholes that benefit the wealthy, and renouncing the European Convention on Human Rights.
“The goal is to win in 2028, govern for two terms and then self-destruct as a legal entity, so the project is credibly hardwired to be fundamentally different to a normal party,” Cummings stated, adding that he has already begun discussing the launch with sitting Members of Parliament and donors.
Cummings is perhaps best known for his role in the “Vote Leave” campaign during the 2018 Brexit Referendum and then featuring as Boris Johnson’s Chief Advisor between 2019 and 2020. He was eventually forced out of his position by Johnson’s meddlesome wife, Carrie Symonds.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican businessman running for president in 2024, has stated that under his theoretical administration, children born in the United States to undocumented immigrants would be deported. This stance challenges the concept of birthright citizenship, which grants automatic citizenship to all persons born in the United States according to the 14th Amendment.
The position differs drastically from the camp of Florida Governor Ron Desantis, whose chief communications strategist Christina Pushaw has argued that she “supports” illegal immigrants and would try to establish a path to citizenship for them.
Ramaswamy says the language of the 14th Amendment can be interpreted to exclude the children of illegal immigrants. Despite being a political newcomer, Ramaswamy remains competitive among non-Trump candidates in Iowa.
In addition to his views on immigration, Ramaswamy has made bold claims about his ability to bring transformation to the federal government, vowing to dismantle the Department of Education. His campaign has recently gained momentum in Iowa, where he polls ahead of Senator Tim Scott, and former Governor Nikki Haley.

Nancy Pelosi, twice the United States House of Representatives Speaker and former House Minority leader, will run to be re-elected to Congress in 2024, despite the fact she will be 84 years old next year.
Pelosi, first elected to the House of Representatives when Ronald Reagan was President in 1987, announced her intention to run in front of a number of her constituents in San Francisco on Friday, and went on to explain: “Our country needs America to show the world that our flag is still there, with liberty and justice for ALL. That is why I am running for reelection — and respectfully ask for your vote.”
“Now more than ever our City needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recovery,” she added.
The former House Speaker has become infamous in recent years for having twice impeached former President Donald Trump and “somehow” having accrued a net worth of over $100 million despite her annual salary being in the hundreds of thousands.
Her decision to run again has re-ignited the debate surrounding America’s increasingly obvious gerontocracy, with senior political figures, such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (81), Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein (90), and President Joe Biden (80), all showing signs of advanced age. The oldest Republican senator is Iowa’s Chuck Grassley, who turns 90 this month.

Josh Holmes, the former Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager to Mitch McConnell and who now spends most of his time defending Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, has pledged to deport populist conservative reporters from the United States in an effort to preserve the current NeoCon and RINO (Republican In Name Only) order.
Holmes, after claiming the U.S. immigration system is worse than he thought because the editor of The National Pulse, Raheem Kassam, is permitted to reside in the country, told Kassam on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday evening:
“You have my word that if I ever get an opportunity I will support rigorous reforms to reunite you with your homeland.”
You have my word that if I ever get an opportunity I will support rigorous reforms to reunite you with your homeland.
Kassam responded, “Your word is as valuable as your philosophy. So I reckon I’m alright,” highlighting the failure of the Republican Party, led by politicians like McConnell, to assume any control over the United States’ immigration system before the election of former President Donald Trump.
It is far from the first time so-called D.C. “conservatives” have attacked actual right wing reporters, with Team DeSantis showing regular disdain for those who refuse to peddle their anti-Trump narratives.
Holmes, who runs the hyper-establishment consulting chop shop known as “Cavalry,” is often seen “mentoring” young men in the city.
The “Republican” Georgia Governor Brian Kemp also showed his contempt for conservatives after he defended and rejected calls to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is leading the Georgia indictment of the 45th President.

A key witness for the prosecution in the impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has admitted many of the charges made against the AG have no foundation. Ryan Vassar – a former aide – was pressed under cross-examination by Paxton’s defense attorney Mitch Little, wherein he admitted many of the claims made in the articles of impeachment appeared to be false. The star witness also confessed that he had reported Paxton to the FBI with no actual evidence of crimes.
WATCH:
So far, this is the most critical 9 minutes of the sham impeachment trial.
The Paxton defense team’s cross-examination of Vassar undermined additional charges made in the articles of impeachment, with Vassar saying he was not aware of any instances of Paxton improperly accessing undisclosed records in his office.
The Texas House of Representatives voted to approve 20 articles of impeachment against the conservative Attorney General in May, despite Republicans holding the legislative majority. Former President Donald Trump called the impeachment of Paxton “very unfair” and has promised to fight against the Texas Republicans who let it proceed.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is facing a significant gap in both national and Iowa polls compared to former President Donald Trump, according to a campaign official. DeSantis had hoped to use Iowa as a launchpad for his campaign but has fallen behind Trump in the state. A recent poll found that 51 percent of likely GOP caucus-goers in Iowa chose Trump as their top choice, while DeSantis trailed at just 14 percent.
The two men appeared at the Cy-Hawk game on Saturday, with Trump receiving massive cheers alongside a smattering of jeers, while DeSantis scarcely attracted an audience beyond the staffers paid to accompany him.
“We believe it’s already a two-person race,” a top DeSantis campaign staffer told POLITICO this week. “But the reality is, on the ballot there are other choices, and our goal is to get this down to a two-person race on the ballot, especially as we head into South Carolina and beyond into March… a strong second-place [in Iowa] gives us an opportunity to go in[to] New Hampshire and show success.”
The Never Back Down Super PAC claims to have received commitments from over 12,000 Iowans to caucus for DeSantis and has already spent $5.5 million on TV ads. They plan to allocate nearly $30 million for ads, mailers, and direct voter contact in Iowa and New Hampshire before Thanksgiving.

Two men have been arrested under the UK‘s Official Secrets Act on suspicion of spying for China. One of the men, in his 30s, was detained in Oxfordshire on March 13, while the other, in his 20s, was arrested in Edinburgh.
The parliamentary researcher at the center of the allegations had links to several senior Conservative Members of Parliament, including security minister Tom Tugendhat and foreign affairs committee chairman Alicia Kearns. The arrests were made by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, which is investigating the case.
Searches were conducted at the residential properties of both men as well as at a third address in east London. The men were held at a south London police station and have been bailed until early October. Security minister Tom Tugendhat reportedly had no contact with the researcher since before he became security minister in September 2020. Foreign affairs committee chairman Alicia Kearns declined to comment but highlighted the need to ensure the work of the authorities was not jeopardized. The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China pressure group expressed concern at the infiltration of the UK parliament and called the allegations a serious escalation.

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, issued an emergency order on Friday suspending the right to carry guns in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days. The decision comes in response to recent instances of gun violence, including the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy outside a minor league baseball stadium earlier this week. The order, classified as an emergency public health order, applies to open and concealed carry in most public places, excluding police and licensed security guards. Violators could face civil penalties and fines up to $5,000.
Quizzed on the unconstitutionality of the order, Grisham stunningly responded: “No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute.”
Grisham acknowledged her order will face legal challenges, with Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen stating concerns over violating constitutional rights and potential civil liability conflicts for his deputies.
This latest order follows a series of gun control measures signed by Governor Lujan Grisham, including a “red flag” law and a ban on gun possession for domestic violence offenders. As part of the emergency order, state regulators will conduct monthly inspections of firearms dealers statewide to ensure compliance with gun laws. The state Department of Health will also conduct a report on gunshot victims in New Mexico hospitals, aiming to gather demographic and firearm-related data to inform future policies.
