Erdogan Delays Swedish NATO Entry Until They Enforce Islamic Blasphemy Laws.

President of Turkey Recep Erdogan has suggested he will delay Sweden’s entrance into NATO if the Swedish government continues to permit public burnings of the Quran, in effect demanding the European nation enforces a Middle Eastern-style blasphemy law prohibiting insults towards Islam.

The Turkish President argued on the way back from a trip to Hungary that if Sweden wishes to become a NATO member it “must first of all take care of the streets of Stockholm. If they don’t take care of their streets, if these attacks on the things we hold sacred continue, then they shouldn’t blame us.”

“The decision will have to be made by the parliament, how much it will be discussed in commissions, how long this process will take, we do not know…” President Erdogan added. Sweden’s NATO membership is still awaiting official ratification by the Hungarian and Turkish parliaments. Both were expected to approve the application over the coming months.

There have been several public Quran burnings over the past month, causing outrage throughout the Islamic world. The most recent burning was led by the Iraqi immigrant Salwan Momika, who claimed he was “warning the Swedish people about the dangers of this book.”

In Baghdad, a violent mob stormed the Swedish embassy, setting it on fire before the Iraqi government expelled the Swedish ambassador from the country. As a result, the risk of terrorist attacks has been raised by Sweden’s security services from “increased” to “high.”

Dick’s Is Getting Shafted By Rising Theft.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is facing a profits drop of almost 25 percent, despite rising sales, due to the shoplifting epidemic sweeping American cities.

“Our [second-quarter] profitability was short of our expectations due in large part to the impact of elevated inventory shrink, an increasingly serious issue impacting many retailers,” lamented chief executive Lauren Hobart – with “inventory shrink” being a politically correct euphemism for items lost to damage, theft, fraud, and so on.

Mass shoplifting events have been on the increase, particularly in Gavin Newsom’s California, in recent months, with law enforcement blaming organized criminals and the introduction of soft-on-crime policies as zero cash bail.

So-called “flash mobs” have been pillaging multiple stores across Southern California, with viral video footage showing tens of masked criminals stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of goods.

In Chicago, meanwhile, previously devastated retail chains such as Walgreens have begun to roll out “anti-theft” stores, with almost all products locked away and customers required to order them through a touchscreen before staff bring them out.

EXC: The Complicated Reason Larry Elder Isn’t on the RNC Debate Stage.

Conservative commentator Larry Elder says he’s suing the Republican National Committee (RNC) after being left off the debate stage in Milwaukee. The National Pulse can reveal that the dispute surrounding his eligibility stems from a Rasmussen Reports poll published Monday, August 21st, which ostensibly gives Elder the one percent he needs to cross the eligibility threshold. Elder says he already surpassed the other requirements, including having over 40,000 donors across dozens of states.

But the RNC says the poll cannot be factored in, not because it came from Rasmussen – a pollster with an excellent track record – but rather because the organization which sponsored the survey – the anti-Soros ‘Enforce The Law PAC’ – is run by Eric Branstad, who has previously and recently worked with both Team Trump and Team Elder.

The Rules.

The RNC’s rules on recognized data suggests, amongst other criteria, that polls must “[n]ot be a conducted by a polling company affiliated with a candidate or candidate committee.”

Rasmussen – the “polling company” – is not affiliated with a candidate or candidate committee, and nor is Enforce The Law PAC. But RNC sources told The National Pulse on Tuesday that Branstad’s now updated LinkedIn page showed him still listed as a Save America PAC (Trump Team) advisor as of Tuesday, August 22nd.

Branstad’s work was also highlighted by the RNC source, who showed his other firm – Matchpoint Strategies – consulted for both ‘Elder for America’ and ‘Donald J. Trump for President 2024, Inc’ as recently as Q1 of 2023.

Regardless, neither Enforce The Law nor Matchpoint were the “polling company” per the RNC’s own stated rules, though the words “affiliated with” may be doing some heavy lifting when considering most modern polling is sponsored in some way by news organizations, political or pressure groups.

Elder posted a statement Tuesday that said: “The reason, as stated by the RNC, is that Rasmussen Polls have ties to former President Donald Trump – an individual who is not even participating in the upcoming debate. Larry Elder has no knowledge about whether Donald Trump has ever worked with Rasmussen previously.”

Branstad has worked with various groups and candidates, which should not preclude one of his non-candidate group’s sponsored polls – even if he’s previously consulted for Elder or Trump. On the other hand, the RNC rules as written are vulnerable to questions of technicality – leading to situations where the spirit of the rules are not adhered to, while the letter of the law technically is.

“The RNC worked over two years to deliver a transparent and fair primary process that will put our eventual nominee in the best position to beat Biden. Criteria to qualify for the first debate was clearly presented to campaigns and RNC leadership and members of the debate committee were in constant communication with candidates and campaigns throughout the qualifying period,” RNC Spokesperson Keith Schipper said on Tuesday.

An Elder campaign spokesman told The National Pulse: “The RNC clearly decided that they only wanted 8 candidates at the debate, and broke their own poorly written rules in an attempt to justify throwing Larry off the stage because he opposes the corrupt RNC establishment. The lazy reasoning for their decision has been thoroughly debunked and yet they refuse to do the right thing, as per usual.”

Trump PAC Trolls GOP Debate With Microsite Asking Who Should Be VP?

Make America Great Again, Inc. launched a new microsite today calling tomorrow’s Republican Presidential Debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the “2024 Vice Presidential Debate” and encouraging visitors to participate in a poll for Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate.

As of publication, the Ohio businessman Vivek Ramaswamy holds a lead at 48 percent, with Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) in a distant second with 14 percent, Chris Christie on 11 percent, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tied with Mike Pence on just eight points.

Accompanying each candidate is a statement of support for former President Trump that they have each made in the past.

Several of the Republican presidential hopefuls – including Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, and Mike Pence – have resorted to increasingly negative attacks on the former President as he continues to dominate the field for the Republican nomination.

Trump has declined to participate in the first Republican debate. His campaign argues that the primary is essentially over and that the debate would only become a media spectacle with all of the other candidates focused on attacking him alone in a desperate effort to gain traction amongst donors.

Wildfires Caused by Arsonists, Not ‘Climate Change’, Say Officials.

Wildfires that have seen 12,000 flee their homes on the Spanish island of Tenerife were started deliberately, officials say – but the press are still hyping climate change as a supposedly contributing factor.

Part of the Canary Islands popular with tourists and, increasingly, illegal boat migrants, Tenerife has been gripped by blazes for a week, with Spain’s socialist leader Pedro Sanchez declaring the affected area a “disaster zone”.

Fernando Clavijo, the Canaries’ regional president, has confirmed the authorities believe the wildfire was started deliberately, and that at least three lines of investigation have been opened.

Nevertheless, much of the establishment media is still seeking to frame the fires as a climate issue, with the Associated Press (AP) insisting lack of rainfall and changing weather patterns have been influenced by climate change.

Hot weather is far from uncommon in the Canaries, which lie off the north-west coast of Africa, and they are popular with tourists for precisely that reason.

Sanctions & Nord Stream Attack Have ‘Crushed Europe’, Says Serbian Prez.

“The war in Ukraine [and] the war against Russia led by NATO has crushed the European economy,” Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić has said, stressing during an interview that the “destruction of Nord Stream by the Biden administration, indirectly through proxies, is killing the German economy”. He said this has had significant “downstream effects” on the wider European Union, due to Germany’s status as the bloc’s economic powerhouse.

“This war is hurting everybody, possibly with the exception, long-term, of Russia, and empowering everybody outside of Europe – the Gulf states, China, Turkey,” said Tucker Carlson, discussing the matters with Vučić.

The sanctions war with Russia has not only caused shortages of coal, oil, and especially natural gas in Europe, however, with farmers in the continent struck by both a lack of Russian fertilizer and a glut of agricultural produce from Ukraine, which is no longer being exported beyond Europe at scale due to Russia strangling its neighbor’s Black Sea ports.

Serbia is culturally close to Russia, with both countries being predominantly Slavic and Eastern Orthodox, as well as having troubled relations with NATO.

Then the leading nation within Yugoslavia, Serbia was bombed extensively by NATO in 1999 on behalf of the separatist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), in an intervention championed by America’s Bill Clinton and Britain’s Tony Blair.

KLA leader Hashim Thaçi, who became Prime Minister of Kosovo after it broke off from Serbia unilaterally following the NATO intervention, went on to be identified as the head of a criminal arms and organ smuggling organization by a Council of Europe inquiry.

trump immigration plan

Trump Immigration Plan Declares Cartels ‘Enemy Combatants’.

Former President Trump has unveiled a new plan declaring Mexican drug cartels as “unlawful enemy combatants”, as well as taking aim at loopholes in the American visa and asylum systems, ending birthright citizenship, and finishing his infamous border wall.

The cartel designation means the U.S. military could be used to deal with America’s ongoing, and worsening border crisis, while the overhauls to the visa system would reinstate “Remain in Mexico” – a system that prevents asylum seekers from waiting in the U.S. for their court dates.

Stephen Miller, a former senior advisor in the Trump White House, called the proposal “pure bliss”.

The plan will enforce laws that, while still in effect, have been ignored by prior presidential administrations; including reviving the McCarran Internal Security Act’s ideological restrictions barring Marxists, fascists, and other subversives from obtaining U.S. citizenship. The plan lays out the case for using statutory authority under the Alien and Sedition Acts to expedite the deportation of illegal migrants who have criminal records, or are gang members.

During the previous Trump presidency, his administration increased scrutiny of H-1B “specialty skill” visa applicants in order to protect American workers from being replaced with cheaper H-!B immigrant labor. In 2017, Trump signed the ‘Buy American, Hire American’ executive order that required U.S. immigration officials to conduct more thorough investigations of visa applicants and asylum-seekers. Challenges to H-1B requests rose by 45 percent after the executive order was implemented.

France Deploys Flimsy ‘Barrier’ to Stop Migrants.

The French government has deployed a ‘barrier’ off the coast of Calais in Northern France in an apparent effort to deter illegal migrant boats traversing the English Channel and discourage people smugglers. Yet, the so-called “floating dam” of yellow buoys off the French coast bares more resemblance to a line of balloons at a child’s birthday party than an insurmountable barrier ready to repel tens of thousands of illegal migrants.

The barrier is, however, vastly inferior in scale to that deployed on the U.S. Southern Border by Governor Greg Abbot, which uses hundreds of closely-knit red buoys designed to roll if someone attempts to climb over them, with the line stretching around 1,000 feet along the river.

The French authorities announced that they would take such a step to ensure “security and rescue services are mobilized on a daily basis… in order to thwart the action of smugglers exploiting the distress of migrant populations and prevent the occurrence of new tragedies,” adding they are “fully committed to the fight against illegal immigration.”

The British government has promised to pay the French a staggering $576 million over the next three years to curb illegal migration from France.  Statistics revealed earlier this month that just under 17,000 people have crossed the English Channel illegally this year. The total amount since 2018 is over 100,000, with the British government excepting the trend to continue for “at least” another five years.
