Trump Files $10 Billion Defamation Lawsuit Against BBC.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump has filed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC over a 2024 news special that allegedly misrepresented his remarks.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and its leadership team.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The lawsuit was filed on December 15, 2025, stemming from a BBC broadcast aired on October 28, 2024.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Literally, they put words in my mouth. They had me saying things that I never said coming out. I guess they used AI or something,” said President Trump.

🎯IMPACT: The lawsuit highlights alleged media bias and potential misuse of editing in influencing public opinion during elections.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) over alleged defamation in a news special aired one week before the 2024 presidential election. The 33-page legal complaint accuses the broadcaster of fabricating and airing a deceptive depiction of Trump, which it claims was an attempt to interfere in the election.

The October 28, 2024, episode titled “Donald Trump: A Second Chance?” was produced by the BBC’s Panorama program. The lawsuit alleges that the BBC intentionally spliced together clips of remarks Trump made on January 6, 2021, to create a false narrative of him encouraging violence. The filing states that this caused significant damage to Trump’s personal and business reputation.

Trump addressed the lawsuit during a December 15 announcement at the White House, stating, “Literally, they put words in my mouth. They had me saying things that I never said coming out. I guess they used AI or something.” The edits in question combined two separate parts of a speech Trump gave at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., creating the impression that he urged supporters to march to the Capitol and engage in violent action.

The BBC has admitted to the misleading edit, issuing an apology in November and stating the episode would not be rebroadcast. “We accept that our edit unintentionally created the impression that we were showing a single continuous section of the speech, rather than excerpts from different points in the speech,” the de facto British state broadcaster wrote in its ‘Corrections and Clarifications’ section. Despite this, the BBC has denied that the issue rises to the level of defamation.

The lawsuit comes after the resignation of the BBC’s director-general and CEO of news following the controversy. Trump had previously welcomed the resignations, calling them a result of the broadcaster being caught “doctoring” his speech. He also stated he plans to raise the issue with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, describing the incident as “very embarrassing” for a U.S. ally.

UK Boat Migrant Crossings Hit Daily High, 2025 Total Passes 40,000.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Nearly 800 migrants crossed the English Channel in small boats over the weekend following a 28-day pause in crossings.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Migrants attempting to reach England via small boats, the French Maritime Prefect, and Britain’s Home Office, roughly equivalent to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

📍WHEN & WHERE: December 2025, in the English Channel.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The number of small boat crossings are shameful and the British people deserve better,” a Home Office spokesman admitted.

🎯IMPACT: Over 40,000 migrants have crossed the Channel this year.

IN FULL

Nearly 800 migrants crossed the English Channel in small boats over the weekend, ending a weather-related 28-day pause in arrivals that had been the longest since 2018. Government figures show that 11 boats carrying more than 700 people reached England on December 13, followed by another vessel on December 14. This brought the total number of small boat crossings so far in 2025 to 40,081, compared with 45,755 recorded in the peak year of 2022.

French maritime authorities said several boats departed on Saturday, with a number of dangerous incidents reported at sea. The French Maritime Prefect claimed that, “Given the structural fragility of systematically overloaded boats, the choice is made not to force migrants to embark on the [French] state’s rescue [vessels], to avoid endangering their lives in the event of a shipwreck.” However, once in British territorial waters, boat migrants are generally brought aboard British vessels and transported the rest of the way to England without incident, bolstering suspicions that the French have little interest in stopping them. Media reports suggest that French authorities have even provided life jackets to migrants preparing to make the crossing at times.

A British Home Office spokesman condemned the continued arrivals, admitting that the “number of small boat crossings are shameful and the British people deserve better,” while claiming that Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party government “is taking action.”

“We have removed almost 50,000 people who were here illegally, and our historic deal with the French means those who arrive on small boats are now being sent back,” the spokesman claimed—although most of these 50,000 removals were voluntary and very few were boat migrants, and the French “one-in, one-out” returns deal is failing.

Pressure on the British asylum system continues to grow. The backlog of asylum appeals has nearly doubled over the past year, reaching 69,670 by September, despite the previous Conservative (Tory) Party government’s to clear it by rubber-stamping thousands of claims with minimal vetting.

Farage’s Reform Party Surpasses Leftist Ruling Party in Membership Numbers.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Nigel Farage’s Reform Party claims it has become the largest political party in Britain by membership, surpassing Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s ruling Labour Party.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Nigel Farage, Keir Starmer, Reform, Labour, and other British political parties.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Membership figures reported in the United Kingdom, with Labour’s numbers reportedly dropping below 250,000.

💬KEY QUOTE: “As we have suspected for some time, Reform has overtaken Labour to become the largest political party in British politics—a huge milestone on our journey to win the next election.” – Nigel Farage

🎯IMPACT: The claim reflects a shift in Britain’s political dynamics, as Labour’s membership has steadily declined while Reform rises to the top of the polls.

IN FULL

Britain’s Reform Party, led by Nigel Farage, has declared itself the largest political party in Britain by membership, claiming more than 268,000 paid members. The announcement follows a report that membership in Britain’s ruling Labour Party, led by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, has fallen below 250,000. Notably, Labour has declined to confirm the figure, stating that it publishes official numbers annually in its accounts and is under no legal obligation to disclose them sooner.

Farage hailed the milestone, saying: “As we have suspected for some time, Reform has overtaken Labour to become the largest political party in British politics—a huge milestone on our journey to win the next election. The age of two-party politics is dead.”

Reform displays a live online counter that it says only counts those who have paid the £25 (~$33) annual membership fee.

Labour’s membership has collapsed since Sir Keir Starmer replaced Jeremy Corbyn as leader in 2020, dropping from over 530,000 to 333,235 by the end of 2023. According to recent reports, it has now further declined to under 250,000. Meanwhile, the ever-further left Green Party has tripled in size to more than 180,000 under co-leader Zack Polanski. The formerly governing Conservatives (Tories) are estimated at around 123,000 members, while Corbyn’s new, Islamo-leftist Your Party claims 55,000.

Reform’s rapid rise extends far beyond membership. A September 2025 Electoral Calculus MRP poll projected the party winning 36 percent of the vote and an 84-seat parliamentary majority at the next general election, with Labour on 21 percent and the Conservatives at 15 percent. The Labour government faced accusations of delaying local elections to forestall anticipated Reform victories.

Farage’s standing is also growing internationally. On December 10, French National Rally (RN) leader Jordan Bardella, the frontrunner for the 2027 French presidency, met Farage in London and pledged joint action to stop migrant boats, including French support for British pushbacks and tougher asylum policies.

Hundreds of British Empire Artifacts Looted from Museum, Thieves Remain at Large.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Over 600 artifacts were stolen from the British Empire and Commonwealth Collection in Bristol, England, in a burglary.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Four unidentified men captured on CCTV are suspected of the theft.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The burglary occurred in the early hours of September 25, 2025, at Bristol Museum, England.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The theft of many items which carry a significant cultural value is a significant loss for the city.” – Officer Dan Burgan

🎯IMPACT: The stolen items, many of which were donated, represent a notable loss of historical and cultural artifacts tied to Britain’s imperial history.

IN FULL

British Police are appealing for information after more than 600 artefacts were stolen from Bristol Museum’s British Empire and Commonwealth Collection in Bristol, England, during a burglary in the early hours of September 25, 2025. Officers say the break-in occurred between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM, when surveillance cameras captured four men carrying bags outside the building that houses the historic collection.

The stolen items include medals, badges, jewellery, carved ivory, silver and bronze pieces, geological specimens, and other culturally significant objects. Many of the artifacts were donated to the collection, which documents Britain’s historical links with countries that were once part of its empire. Police have stressed that the loss represents a severe blow to the city’s cultural heritage.

Dan Burgan, the officer leading the investigation, said, “The theft of many items which carry a significant cultural value is a significant loss for the city. These items, many of which were donations, form part of a collection that provides insight into a multi-layered part of British history.” Detectives have released grainy CCTV images of four men they wish to identify.

The theft is the latest in a series of major incidents targeting museums across Europe. In October 2025, thieves stole royal jewels from the Louvre in Paris in a carefully timed operation that investigators say succeeded with only seconds to spare. A French Senate inquiry later found that partial camera failures and delays in alerting security allowed the gang to escape before police arrived. The jewels, estimated to be worth tens of millions of euros, have not been recovered.

Anti-Trump UK Deputy PM Replaced Queen’s Portrait with Pan-African Flags.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: A portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II was removed from the Foreign Office—equivalent to the U.S. State Department—by then-Foreign Secretary David Lammy and replaced with pan-African flags. Lammy is now Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Chancellor, and Justice Secretary.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: David Lammy and Britain’s governing Labour Party, led by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Following the Labour Party’s election win in mid-2024, at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office in London.

💬KEY QUOTE: The artwork was intended to be a “celebration of London’s immense ethnic wealth.” – Yinka Shonibare

🎯IMPACT: The removal of the portrait sparked discussions about cultural representation and changes in official government spaces.

IN FULL

Following the Labour Party’s election win in Britain in mid-2024, the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO)—equivalent to the U.S. State Department—under then-Foreign Secretary David Lammy took down a portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II and replaced it with pan-African flags. Lammy, who has described President Donald J. Trump as a “racist KKK and Nazi sympathizer” and the MAGA movement as a “cult of white supremacists,” now holds multiple senior positions as Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Chancellor, and Justice Secretary.

The 2014 portrait of the smiling Queen was moved into storage, leaving no images of the late monarch visible in the department. In its place, the office hung two works by British-Ghanaian artist Larry Achiampong: Pan African Flag For The Relic Travellers’ Alliance (Motion) and (Community). These pieces use the pan-African colours—green, yellow, and red—with 54 black stars symbolising the nations of Africa. Lammy, notably, is a black identitarian whose parents were Guyanese immigrants.

The (Community) artwork was later removed in late 2024, while (Motion) remains on display. The decision to remove the Queen’s portrait follows similar moves elsewhere in government, such as taking down a portrait of William Shakespeare at 10 Downing Street, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s official residence, and the removal of a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill by Chancellor (Treasury Secretary) Rachel Reeves at her adjoining official residence.

Boots on the Ground: Britain Confirms Death of Paratrooper Assisting Ukrainian Forces.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Lance Corporal George Hooley, a British paratrooper, died in Ukraine while assisting Ukrainian forces.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Lance Corporal George Hooley of the Parachute Regiment and Ukrainian forces.

📍WHEN & WHERE: December 2025, in Ukraine, away from the front lines.

💬KEY QUOTE: “He served our country with honour and distinction around the world in the cause of freedom and democracy, including as part of the small number of British personnel in Ukraine.” – Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer

🎯IMPACT: The death of the elite paratrooper underlines the fact that Britain, a NATO power, has military personnel on the ground in Ukraine, actively aiding Ukrainian forces against Russia.

IN FULL

A British soldier who died while deployed in Ukraine has been formally identified as Lance Corporal George Hooley, 28, of the Parachute Regiment. The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) said he was killed in a “tragic accident” on Tuesday morning while watching Ukrainian troops test a new defensive system.

During Prime Minister’s Question Time in the House of Commons, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer paid tribute to him, saying: “Lance Corporal Hooley was injured in a tragic accident away from the front lines while observing Ukrainian forces testing a new defensive capability. His life was full of courage and determination. He served our country with honour and distinction around the world in the cause of freedom and democracy, including as part of the small number of British personnel in Ukraine.”

The MoD later issued its own statement confirming his identity and offering condolences: “It is with sadness that we must confirm that the member of the UK Armed Forces who died in Ukraine on Tuesday 9th December is Lance Corporal George Hooley of the Parachute Regiment. He was 28 years old. Our thoughts are with Lance Corporal Hooley’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”

The Parachute Regiment, based mainly at Merville Barracks in Colchester, is one of the British Army’s elite airborne units. The government has previously acknowledged that a “small number” of British personnel are present in Ukraine, supposedly in roles supporting diplomatic security and assisting Ukrainian forces in certain training missions. The Kremlin has long claimed that British troops are actively assisting Ukrainian offensive operations.

Thousands of volunteers from the United States, Europe, and elsewhere have joined Ukrainian formations, such as the International Legion, in a more informal capacity. Several reports have highlighted allegations by foreign volunteers that non-Ukrainian fighters were discouraged or prevented from leaving Ukraine after signing on, and that casualty rates among foreign recruits have been high.

Police Add Quick-Release Hijab to Uniform to Preserve ‘Modesty’ of Muslim Officers.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: A new hijab with a magnetic quick-release system designed for female Muslim police officers has been developed and put into production in Britain.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Leicestershire Police, researchers at De Montfort University, and officers including Student Officer PC Seher Nas and Detective Sergeant Yassin Desai.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Developed over three years in collaboration with Leicestershire Police and De Montfort University in Britain.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Now, being [one of the first people] to actually wear it, I feel proud and empowered as a Muslim woman.” – PC Seher Nas

🎯IMPACT: The hijab design is being issued as part of personal protective equipment and has garnered interest from other police forces, National Health Service (NHS) trusts, and the private sector.

IN FULL

A new magnetic “quick-release” hijab has been specially engineered for Britain’s growing number of female Muslim police officers, allowing the garment to instantly detach if grabbed during arrests, so that it cannot be used to choke the wearer while still preserving “modesty.”

Developed over three years by De Montfort University in collaboration with Leicestershire Police, the design is now being rolled out as official protective equipment. Student officer PC Seher Nas said: “Now, being [one of the first people] to actually wear it, I feel proud and empowered as a Muslim woman.”

Project leader Detective Sergeant Yassin Desai, founder of the force’s Association of Muslim Police, noted: “The bottom part was able to detach and the officer was able to keep her dignity.”

Multiple police forces, National Health Service (NHS) trusts, ambulance services, and private firms have already inquired about adopting the garment. However, what is framed as a progressive accommodation quietly illustrates how far mass migration and state-sponsored multiculturalism have reshaped everyday British life: public institutions now find themselves redesigning standard uniforms and spending years of research to make Islamic religious attire compatible with the realities of modern street policing.

French Presidential Frontrunner Meets Farage, Pledges Joint Action to Stop Migrant Boats.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: France’s populist presidential frontrunner, Jordan Bardella, met with Reform Party leader Nigel Farage in London, England, to discuss border policies and potential cooperation to address illegal immigration.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Jordan Bardella, leader of France’s National Rally (RN) party, and Nigel Farage, leader of Britain’s Reform Party.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The meeting took place in London on Tuesday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If I am head of the French Government tomorrow, France will no longer be a country of mass immigration.” – Jordan Bardella

🎯IMPACT: Bardella’s policies could significantly alter France’s immigration stance, potentially affecting Channel crossings and Anglo-French relations.

IN FULL

Jordan Bardella, president of France’s National Rally (RN) party and the current favourite to win the 2027 presidential elections, held talks in London with Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, focusing on boat migrants crossing the English Channel illegally.

Bardella promised full French cooperation to end the small boats crisis, including joint naval patrols and allowing British Border Force vessels to perform pushbacks into French waters. He attacked the present French policy of refusing to accept returned boats, saying: “I can’t defend the notion of pushbacks and then refuse to allow Great Britain to do the same.” The Frenchman dismissed the failed “one-in, one-out” migration deal put together by President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer as a political “smokescreen” and predicted that Farage “will be the next Prime Minister.”

Outlining his own agenda for France, Bardella said he would move asylum processing to French embassies and consulates abroad, give French nationals absolute priority for social housing and welfare, make France “the least attractive country for mass immigration in Europe,” and ensure the “systematic expulsion of foreign offenders and criminals.”

Farage, posting after the meeting, wrote: “Over lunch with Jordan Bardella today, I made it clear that the future of Anglo-French relations depends on the UK being able to carry out pushbacks into French waters.” He described Bardella’s stance as highly encouraging.

Both men presented the London meeting as practical preparation for when they are in power, with Bardella hailing Farage as a “pioneer” who won Britain’s freedom from the European Union (EU). Polls currently give Bardella 35–37 percent in the first round of next year’s French presidential election, almost guaranteeing him a place in the second round run-off. Longtime National Rally frontwoman Marine Le Pen cannot run in the election, having been banned from doing so in a widely criticized lawfare case.

Farage’s Reform Party has also been leading national polls for the next British general election, which must be held no later than 2029, for months.

Afghan Charged With Rape of Underage Teens.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: An Afghan migrant has been charged with the rape of two teenage girls in England.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Sultani Bakatash, a 28-year-old Afghan national, and two girls aged 14.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The alleged incidents occurred in Bolton, Greater Manchester, with the arrest taking place on Sunday, December 7.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This is a deeply concerning report, and our priority is supporting the two young girls and their families at this traumatic time.” – Chief Superintendent Helen Critchley

🎯IMPACT: The case highlights ongoing concerns about safeguarding young girls and public safety amid ongoing mass migration.

IN FULL

An Afghan migrant, Sultani Bakatash, aged 28, has been charged with serious sexual offences against two 14-year-old girls in Bolton, Greater Manchester. He faces two counts of rape of a girl under 16, one count of sexual assault, and one count of assault by penetration. Greater Manchester Police arrested Bakatash in the early hours of Sunday, December 7, after receiving a report of a rape at an apartment in the Middle Hulton area.

Authorities allege he contacted the girls online before meeting them in person. Both victims are receiving support from specialist officers, and police say no one else is being sought in connection with the incident. Bakatash has been remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on December 9.

This case adds to ongoing concerns about crimes involving asylum seekers, many of whom come to Britain illegally by boat, with tens of thousands housed in taxpayer-funded hotels across the country, sometimes close to schools. Reports indicate hundreds of migrants in such accommodations have faced charges for serious offences, including rape and sexual assault.

Separate incidents have involved asylum seekers accused or convicted of sex attacks on children, with one case involving a migrant who stabbed a migrant hotel worker to death earlier this year.

Teacher Suspended for Telling Muslim That Britain Is a ‘Christian State.’

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: A London primary (elementary) school teacher was banned from working with children after telling a Muslim student that Britain is a “Christian state.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The teacher, the Free Speech Union, the Metropolitan Police, and the local safeguarding board.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred in London, with the teacher being suspended in March 2024 and dismissed in February 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This teacher lost his job and almost ended up being barred from the profession for life just because he pointed out to a class of Muslim schoolchildren that the national religion of England is Anglicanism.” – Lord Toby Young

🎯IMPACT: The teacher successfully appealed the ban and now works part-time, but his career has been significantly derailed.

IN FULL

A London primary (elementary) school teacher was dismissed after telling a Muslim pupil that Britain is a Christian country. The teacher made the remark while enforcing the school’s policy that Islamic religious activities at the non-faith school be confined to a designated prayer room. He reportedly explained to a group of students that, because the King is the head of the Church of England, “Britain is still a Christian state,” and also suggested that students seeking additional accommodations for Islamic practices could consider a nearby Islamic school.

The situation began when the teacher found several boys washing their feet in the bathroom sinks. When he addressed them, he spoke about British values of tolerance, although he reiterated that “Britain is still a Christian state.” The comments triggered a safeguarding review, despite being literally true, with the King’s coronation oath including a vow to “maintain the Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel” and the House of Lords including Anglican bishops, among other constitutional provisions enshrining Christianity as the state religion.

The local safeguarding board concluded that the remarks had caused “emotional harm” to the child involved. London’s Metropolitan Police initially had its child abuse team examine the incident as a possible hate crime, although the inquiry was eventually dropped. The teacher was suspended in March 2024, and by February 2025, he had been dismissed for gross misconduct.

With assistance from the Free Speech Union, the teacher is now taking legal action against the local authority. Lord Toby Young, the organisation’s director, said, “This teacher lost his job and almost ended up being barred from the profession for life just because he pointed out to a class of Muslim schoolchildren that the national religion of England is Anglicanism.”

“Things have reached a pretty pass in this country if a teacher can be branded a safeguarding risk because he says something that is incontestably true,” he added.

Recent data indicates that Christianity in Britain is undergoing significant changes, particularly among younger generations. According to research, an increasing number of young adults are returning to church, and among Christians, more now identify with the Roman Catholic Church than with the Anglican Church of England. Attendance among 18 to 24-year-olds has risen sharply, with Catholic parishes in particular seeing notable growth.
