British PM Declares Nigel Farage His Number One Rival for Power.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has acknowledged that Nigel Farage and his Reform Party are now the ruling Labour Party’s main rivals for power.

👥 Who’s Involved: Sir Keir Starmer, Nigel Farage, Labour Party, Reform Party, Conservative Party.

📍 Where & When: Starmer made the comments to fellow Labour Members of Parliament (MPs) on May 19.

💬 Key Quote: “Reform are our main rivals for power. We have a moral responsibility to make sure Farage never wins.” — Sir Keir Starmer.

⚠️ Impact: The admission is a major shakeup in British politics, which has been dominated by Labour and the Conservatives for around a century.

IN FULL:

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has reportedly told the inner circle of his ruling Labour Party that Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and his party are now their “main rivals for power.” Starmer met with his Members of Parliament (MPs) on May 19, telling them, “The Conservatives are not our principal opponent. Reform are our main rivals for power. We have a moral responsibility to make sure Farage never wins.”

Starmer labelled Farage, “A state-slashing, NHS-privatising, Putin apologist, without a single patriotic bone in his body. We will take the fight to him. We will fight as Labour.”

The statements come just hours after Starmer announced a new trade deal with the European Union (EU), which Farage blasted as a “surrender deal.”

“In 2016, we voted to take back control of our fishing waters from the EU and give a much-needed lifeline to our fishing industry. Today, we learn that Sir Keir Starmer’s much vaunted EU reset deal will grant European fishermen access to British waters for 12 years,” Farage said. He also criticised another aspect of the deal, which could reintroduce a form of Free Movement immigration for EU nationals who are under the age of 30.

Farage also previously criticised Starmer’s trade deal with India, claiming that it betrayed British workers as it could make it 20 percent cheaper for companies to hire Indian workers over native Brits.

Reform dominated the municipal elections in England last month, at the expense of both the Conservatives and Labour. Polling now routinely puts Reform above both the Conservatives and Labour.

Gun-Toting Palestinian Migrant Gets Just 9 Months Jail for Illegal Entry Attempt.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: A Palestinian illegal immigrant and alleged terrorist has been jailed for just nine months after attempting illegal entry into the United Kingdom by small boat.

👥 Who’s Involved: Abu Wadee, also known as Mosab Abdulkarim Al-Gassas; Judge Sarah Counsell; terrorism expert Joe Truzman.

📍 Where & When: Initially arrested in Kent, England, on March 6, 2024, after crossing the Channel.

💬 Key Quote: “There is legitimate public concern about breaches of border control,” Judge Sarah Counsell said, despite handing down a light sentence for the accused Palestinian terrorist.

⚠️ Impact: Wadee’s arrival raised security concerns due to his militant ties and rhetoric targeting Jews. His light prison sentence for illegally crossing the English Channel into the United Kingdom raises concerns about how the British justice system is handling cases involving dangerous foreign nationals who are illegally entering the country.

IN FULL:

A Palestinian man with alleged ties to Islamist militant groups and a history of anti-Semitic rhetoric has been sentenced to just nine months in prison for attempting to enter the United Kingdom illegally. Abu Wadee, also known as Mosab Abdulkarim Al-Gassas, pleaded guilty at Canterbury Crown Court after crossing the English Channel in a small boat on March 6, 2025, without valid entry clearance. Wadee, 33, reportedly paid smugglers €1,500 (£1,300 or $1,700) to facilitate the journey and was arrested upon arrival in Kent, England.

The court heard that Wadee, who left Gaza in 2022, had previously sought asylum in Greece, Germany, and Belgium. He had no familial or financial ties to the United Kingdom and stayed in northern France for about a week before attempting the crossing. Judge Sarah Counsell highlighted the public concern over illegal boat crossings, noting the dangers involved and the profits gained by organized criminals.

Bizarrely, Judge Counsell took a moment to chastize Wadee directly, not over his ties to terrorism or violent speech towards Jewish people, but rather over his decision to cross the English Channel. The judge warned Wadee that the illegal crossing posed a significant “risk of death or injury to you and others.”

Meanwhile, videos and images posted online show Wadee expressing support for Hamas, calling for violence against Jews, and posing with an assault rifle. In one Facebook video, he reportedly called for Allah to “punish [Jews] completely.”

Terrorism expert Joe Truzman stated that Wadee had been affiliated with Gaza-based terror groups, including the Hamas-aligned Al-Qadir al-Husseini Brigades. Truzman added that Wadee gained notoriety during the Great March of Return protests from 2018 to 2022, where he participated in violent clashes at the Gaza-Israel border.

Footage obtained by The Telegraph allegedly shows Wadee throwing pipe bombs during confrontations with Israeli forces in 2021. He has also amassed a significant online following, with 170,000 TikTok followers and 189,000 YouTube subscribers.

Guinness Owners Revise DOWN the Expected Impact of Trump’s Tariffs.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: Diageo, owner of Guinness and Johnnie Walker, is reducing the projected annual loss it attributed to President Donald J. Trump’s tariff policies by $50 million.

👥 Who’s Involved: Diageo, U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Diageo CEO Debra Crew, and equity analyst Aarin Chiekrie.

📍 Where & When: Tariffs announced April 2, 2025; Diageo issued its update on Monday.

💬 Key Quote: “Looking ahead, we will continue to work on measures to mitigate this impact further,” Diageo stated, expressing confidence in navigating international tariffs.

⚠️ Impact: The company forecasts reduced profits but plans to mitigate losses and save $500 million by 2028.

IN FULL:

The British beverage giant Diageo, owner of Guinness and Johnnie Walker, has flagged a $150 million annual hit to its profits, claiming this will be due to U.S. tariffs introduced under President Donald J. Trump. However, the company’s newest estimate, released on Monday, is a significant decrease from the expected $200 million loss it projected earlier this year.

It is unclear whether Diageo’s estimate includes provisions laid out in the new landmark bilateral trade agreement signed earlier this month between the United States and the United Kingdom, or if the loss is based mainly on the revenue impact of the 10 percent global tariff imposed by President Trump on April 2, 2025. Notably, President Trump paused higher, country-specific reciprocal tariffs for 90 days in mid-April. However, the recent U.S.-UK trade deal would preclude additional trade duties from being imposed on British exports once the pause expires.

Diageo’s recent shareholder update noted that its tequila and Canadian whiskey brands remain exempt from these levies, and tariffs on U.S.-China trade have had minimal impact on its operations. The company stated that it expects to mitigate about half of the tariff-related losses and expressed confidence in its ability to manage the challenges posed by international trade policies.

“Looking ahead, we will continue to work on measures to mitigate this impact further,” the company said, adding that its long history of navigating tariffs provided reassurance. The expected financial impact is already factored into Diageo’s fiscal guidance for 2025 and 2026. Importantly, the British company says it believes it can achieve around $500 million in savings by 2028, suggesting the long-term impact of the Trump administration tariffs will leave its business and market relatively unaffected.

CEO Debra Crew emphasized the company’s resilience: “We continue to believe in the attractive long-term fundamentals of our industry and in our ability to outperform the market. We view the near-term industry pressure as largely macroeconomic driven, with continued uncertainty impacting both the timing and pace of recovery.”

Diageo also reported a 2.9 percent rise in net sales for the first quarter of the year, reaching $4.4 billion.

Top Paid BBC Star Quits Over Anti-Semitic Meme.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: Gary Lineker is leaving the BBC after criticism for sharing an anti-Semitic Instagram post.

👥 Who’s Involved: Gary Lineker, BBC Director-General Tim Davie, Campaign Against Antisemitism, and the Palestine Lobby group.

📍Where & When: Announcement made Monday; Lineker steps down from the Match of the Day soccer show after this season.

💬 Key Quote: “I would never consciously repost anything antisemitic—it goes against everything I stand for,” claimed Lineker.

⚠️ Impact: Lineker’s departure ends his 24-year tenure with the BBC and raises questions about impartiality and social media use by public figures.

IN FULL:

Gary Lineker, a former England soccer star and top-paid BBC presenter, will step down from his role at the de facto state broadcaster following backlash over his social media activity. The controversy arose after Lineker reposted an Instagram story from the group Palestine Lobby, which featured a rat and was titled “Zionism explained in two minutes.” The image drew criticism due to its historical association with anti-Semitic propaganda.

In a statement Monday, the BBC confirmed Lineker would leave the corporation entirely after the final episode of the Match of the Day show this season. Lineker, 64, had initially planned to step back from hosting the iconic soccer program but remain involved in other BBC coverage. Instead, he will now depart fully.

BBC Director-General Tim Davie said, “Gary has acknowledged the mistake he made. Accordingly, we have agreed he will step back from further presenting after this season.”

Lineker apologized last week, claiming he had shared the post without realizing its offensive nature. “I would never knowingly share anything antisemitic,” he said, adding that the post was deleted once he became aware of the issue. “Stepping back now feels like the responsible course of action,” he added.

Lineker’s social media activity has previously caused friction with the BBC. In March 2023, he was temporarily suspended for criticizing the British government’s asylum policy, leading the BBC to update its social media guidelines for prominent presenters. The broadcaster and its employees are supposed to be impartial, as the public funds it through a compulsory license fee.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism welcomed Lineker’s departure, accusing him of promoting “dehumanizing and extreme messages” and flouting the BBC’s impartiality rules.

The BBC itself has been accused of bias against Israel in its conflict with Hamas, breaching its own editorial guidelines over 1,500 times. Another BBC star was even linked to funding the terrorist group Hezbollah earlier this month.

Hot on the Heels of the U.S.-UK Trade Deal, Britain’s Labour Govt is Selling Out to Brussels Again.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: A new post-Brexit trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the European Union (EU) was announced, with claims it will boost the British economy by £9 billion by 2040.

👥 Who’s Involved: Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch, Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, and Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey.

📍 Where & When: The deal was unveiled at a UK-EU summit held at Lancaster House, London, on Monday, May 19, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: Sir Keir Starmer described the agreement as a “win-win,” stating it “delivers what the British public voted for last year.”

⚠️ Impact: The deal is being criticized for its alignment with EU rules and concessions on EU access to British fishing waters, with opponents labeling it a “surrender” of British sovereignty.

IN FULL:

A controversial post-Brexit trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the European Union was unveiled on Monday, with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer hailing it as a “win-win” for both sides. The deal, announced during a UK-EU summit at Lancaster House in London, is projected by the Labour Party government to boost Britain’s economy by £9 billion by 2040.

Key provisions include relaxed trade rules allowing more British food exports to the EU, while reducing port delays. However, the agreement requires adherence to EU food standards, a condition criticized by Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch as making Britain a “rule-taker.”

Meanwhile, Reform Party leader and Brexit champion Nigel Farage is warning that the 12-year fishing agreement in the deal could devastate the British fishing industry. The agreement reportedly allows the EU continued access to British fishing waters under current arrangements. Farage warns, “If true, that will be the end of the fishing industry.” Farage has pledged that if he becomes Prime Minister, he and Reform UK will scrap the deal and protect British fishing waters from EU predation.

Others have pointed to a potential return of Free Movement immigration, with Badenoch claiming the policy is being re-established “by the back door.” Under the agreement, a “youth mobility scheme” will allow younger EU nationals broad access to the British labor market.

Additionally, the deal establishes a defense and security pact, granting British firms access to a €150 billion EU defense fund, though Britain’s financial contributions remain unspecified. Further talks are planned to expand criminal data-sharing arrangements, including access to EU facial recognition databases.

Prime Minister Starmer, speaking alongside European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, said: “This is the first UK-EU summit. It marks a new era in our relationship.”

Von der Leyen called the deal a “historic moment,” stating it opens “a new chapter” in UK-EU relations. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey, who wants Britain to rejoin the EU, urged against revisiting past Brexit debates, dismissing Farage and Badenoch as “dinosaurs fighting old battles.”

Election polling shows Farage and Reform either close to or outright overtaking the Labour Party, suggesting the Brexit leader’s resistance to renewed integration with the EU remains highly popular among the British electorate. Earlier this month, the United States and the United Kingdom signed a landmark bilateral trade deal aimed at “bring[ing] the United Kingdom into economic security alignment with the United States,” according to U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

Ukrainian Migrant Charged With Setting Fire to Properties Owned by British PM.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: A Ukrainian man has been charged with arson and attacking properties owned or linked to British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

👥 Who’s Involved: Roman Lavrynovych, Sir Keir Starmer, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

📍 Where & When: The attacks occurred between May 8 and May 12; Lavrynovych was charged on May 15.

💬 Key Quote: “Following a review of the evidence provided by the Metropolitan Police Service’s counter terrorism command, we have authorised criminal charges against a 21-year-old man after three fires in north London,” confirmed Bethan David, head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) counter terrorism division.

⚠️ Impact: The arrest raises questions on the motive regarding the attacks and what the suspect’s Ukrainian background may have to do with them.

IN FULL:

A Ukrainian migrant has been charged after trying to set several properties on fire that British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer owns or has links to. One fire occurred on May 12 in Kent at the house the Prime Minister lived in before moving into Number 10 Downing Street last year.

Roman Lavrynovych, a 21-year-old Ukrainian national, was arrested and has been charged with three counts of arson for fires at Sir Keir’s home, another property linked to the Prime Minister, and a vehicle that is also connected to him. All of the attacks took place from May 8 to May 12. One person had to be helped out of one of the properties by firefighters.

Lavrynovych was arrested on May 13 at his home in south-east London and was charged on May 15. “Following a review of the evidence provided by the Metropolitan Police Service’s counter terrorism command, we have authorised criminal charges against a 21-year-old man after three fires in north London,” Bethan David, head of the Crown Prosecution Service counter terrorism division, said.

So far, no motive has been put forward by police regarding the attacks, which appear to have clearly targeted the Labour Party leader.

The attack is just the latest serious criminal act by a Ukrainian in recent months in Western Europe. In late March, a Ukrainian man stabbed five people in Amsterdam. Prosecutors later floated the idea that his motive could have been terrorism.

Socialized Health System Helping Toddlers ‘Transition.’

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: The socialized National Health Service (NHS) in Britain is now giving transgender treatments for toddlers after pressure from activists.

👥 Who’s Involved: The NHS, transgender activists, and children.

📍 Where & When: healthcare facilities across England, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “Research shows that pre-adolescent children who feel confused or distressed by the fact of their sex will usually grow out of this stage if they’re sensitively supported, but not when they’re encouraged to believe the unscientific notion that everyone has a ‘gender identity’ that may differ from their sex.” — Helen Joyce of the group Sex Matters.

⚠️ Impact: The issue raises concerns about children being indoctrinated into transgender ideologies at a very young age.

IN FULL:

Britain’s socialised healthcare system has caved in to transgender activists who have demanded that it provide gender treatment for toddlers. The National Health Service (NHS) is now treating pre-schoolers after an initial attempt to cap treatment at seven years old that failed to materialise.

NHS England reportedly caved to pressure from transgender activists to remove any reference to age limits for gender treatment. According to reports, as many as 157 children under the age of nine have been referred for treatment for transgender issues. While the children are not given harmful puberty blockers, hormones, or surgeries, they are given psychological “treatments,” including counseling.

Helen Joyce, director of advocacy for the group Sex Matters, was critical of the NHS for providing so-called counseling treatment for children so young. “Research shows that pre-adolescent children who feel confused or distressed by the fact of their sex will usually grow out of this stage if they’re sensitively supported, but not when they’re encouraged to believe the unscientific notion that everyone has a ‘gender identity’ that may differ from their sex,” she said.

Britain banned the use of hormone therapy for children identifying as transgender in 2023, particularly puberty blockers, which have been shown to cause irreparable harm.

In the United States, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order halting federal funding to any healthcare provider that gave children hormone therapy, puberty blockers, or transgender surgeries. Over half of state governments have acted on their own and banned the practice as well.

Anti-Trump UK Foreign Sec Allegedly Assaulted Euro Cabbie.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: British Foreign Secretary David Lammy is accused of assaulting a taxi driver after refusing to pay a massive bill on a 360-mile trip from Italy to France.

👥 Who’s Involved: David Lammy, of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, an unnamed French taxi driver, and the French authorities.

📍 Where & When: The alleged attack took place on April 10 in Haute Savoie in the French Alps.

💬 Key Quote: “On the night of April 10-11, I was the victim of assault and violence by members of a British embassy during an international transfer, where they refused to pay me.” — Taxi driver.

⚠️ Impact: The incident could be the latest embarrassment for Lammy, who previously referred to President Donald J. Trump as a “neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopath.”

IN FULL:

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, known for calling President Donald J. Trump a “neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopath” in the past, has been accused of assaulting a European taxi driver over a bill costing over $780. Lammy and his wife used a taxi service to take them on a 360-mile trip from Italy to a French ski resort on April 10.

The trip followed King Charles III‘s three-day trip to Italy, during which Lammy and his wife Nicola Green were also present. The taxi driver alleges that Lammy became aggressive over payment for the ride, totaling over $1,700, though most of the cost was paid by the transfer service Lammy booked the nearly seven-hour trip with.

Lammy was expected to pay the remaining $782 but allegedly refused, “became aggressive,” and ultimately swiped a receipt from the driver’s hands. The driver left the pair at the destination in Haute Savoie in the French Alps and reported the incident to local police. The authorities found diplomatic material in the car, including a briefcase, two diplomatic passports, and diplomatic license plates.

“On the night of April 10-11, I was the victim of assault and violence by members of a British embassy during an international transfer, where they refused to pay me,” the driver told French media.

The Bonneville prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the incident, but Lammy and his wife have denied the allegations and claimed the man fraudulently removed their luggage, along with cash, saying they will sue him.

The driver says he did not know who Lammy was at the time of the incident but joked that if he had, he would have charged “much more.”

Lawmaker Faces Charges in Dual Sex Assault Cases.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) Patrick Spencer has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

👥 Who’s Involved: Patrick Spencer, MP for England’s Central Suffolk and North Ipswich constituency (electoral district), and two alleged victims.

📍 Where & When: Alleged incidents occurred at the Groucho Club, London, in August 2023. Spencer will appear in court on June 16, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “Patrick Spencer MP has been suspended from the Conservative Party, and the whip withdrawn, with immediate effect,” said a Conservative Party spokesman.

⚠️ Impact: Spencer has been suspended from the Conservative Party and barred from attending the parliamentary estate during the investigation.

IN FULL:

Patrick Spencer, the British Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault. The charges relate to alleged incidents involving two women at the Groucho Club in London in August 2023.

The 37-year-old MP, elected to Parliament in July 2024, as the Conservatives more broadly were being ousted by Labour after 14 years in government, was not serving in Parliament at the time of the alleged incidents. Spencer is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 16, 2025.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Spencer attended a voluntary interview at a London police station on March 13, 2025. Following their investigation, charges were brought. Frank Ferguson, head of the Crown Prosecution Service’s (CPS) special crime and counter-terrorism division, stated, “Following a review of the evidence provided by the Metropolitan Police Service, we have authorised two counts of sexual assault against Patrick Spencer MP.”

The Conservative Party has responded by suspending Spencer and withdrawing the party whip. A party spokesman stated, “We have taken immediate action. Patrick Spencer MP has been suspended from the Conservative Party, and the whip withdrawn, with immediate effect.” The party emphasized its commitment to integrity and high standards but declined further comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings.

The case against Spencer is just one of a slew of sex crime allegations levelled against British MPs in recent years. One of the most infamous involved Conservative MP Imran Ahmad Khan, who was found guilty in 2022 of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2008.

Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson was driven from office in part because he was aware of sexual assault allegations involving two men at a London club against former MP Christopher Pincher, but still promoted him to a senior role in the party.

A parliamentary investigation by the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme (ICGS) ultimately found Pincher guilty of “an egregious case of sexual misconduct” that constituted an abuse of power. Johnson initially lied, saying that he was unaware of the allegations.

LGBT Groups Refuse to Allow Party Involvement Until Politicians Usurp Supreme Court.

PULSE POINTS:

❓What Happened: Four major Pride events in Britain have banned political parties from participating officially, citing solidarity with the transgender community.

👥 Who’s Involved: Birmingham, Brighton, London, and Manchester Pride organizations; British political parties; transgenders; the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom; the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

📍 Where & When: Britain, announcement made following a Supreme Court ruling that determined sex is determined by biology, not gender identity, for the purpose of equality law.

💬 Key Quote: “In this moment, we choose to stand firmer, louder, and prouder in demanding change that protects and uplifts trans lives,” said Pride organizers.

⚠️ Impact: Political parties are excluded from major Pride events unless they commit to returning transgender “women” to women’s single-sex spaces and sports, amidst ongoing debates over gender recognition laws.

IN FULL:

Four of the United Kingdom’s largest LGBT Pride organizations have announced a ban on political parties participating in their events in an official capacity, citing solidarity with transgenders. Birmingham, Brighton, London, and Manchester Pride groups issued a joint statement explaining the decision, which they said was driven by a lack of commitment to transgenderism among political parties.

The announcement follows a Supreme Court ruling that defined “woman” under the Equality Act as being based on biological sex. While this decision has been welcomed by many citizens and campaigners, particularly lesbian and gender-critical groups, it has been resisted by transgender activists.

The Pride groups stated that the ruling highlighted the need for urgent action and described their move as a refusal to “platform those who have not protected our rights.” They also called for reforms, including full “protections” under the Equality Act—likely meaning renewed access to women’s spaces—as well as improved access to transgender medical interventions and sustained funding for trans-led services.

“In this moment, we choose to stand firmer, louder, and prouder in demanding change that protects and uplifts trans lives,” the Pride groups said in a joint statement.

The Supreme Court ruling stems from a case involving the Scottish Parliament’s gender balance legislation, which included transgenders in quotas for women. The court clarified that the Equality Act’s definition of sex is based on biology, not gender identity, even for those holding a government Gender Recognition Certificate.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) subsequently issued guidance emphasizing that access to single-sex spaces must align with biological sex.

Some groups, such as Scottish Lesbians, welcomed the clarification, stating it protects women’s rights. They have criticized Pride organizers for excluding lesbians by prioritizing transgender issues.

The decision to exclude political parties affects events that collectively attract over a million attendees annually. Political figures, including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have historically participated in Pride events.
