New NATO Member Warns Against Deploying Western Troops in Ukraine.

One of NATO’s newest member states is urging caution among European leaders discussing so-called peacekeeping operations in Ukraine once the conflict has ended. On Tuesday, Finland‘s President Alexander Stubb addressed the issue before a defense cooperation summit in Tallinn, Estonia. He emphasized, “We should not get ahead of ourselves” when considering operations in Ukraine.

Stubb expressed concern over the significant number of European troops that would be needed for such an operation. He noted that a proper peacekeeping force would require at least 150,000 soldiers. He explained that maintaining this operation over time would necessitate up to 450,000 peacekeepers annually. “Perhaps this discussion has gone off the rails, so to speak,” Stubb remarked.

Instead of deploying peacekeeping forces, Stubb suggested that security guarantees for Kiev should take precedence in discussions about future peace negotiations.

Recently, discussions among leading NATO countries have revived the idea of sending Western troops to Ukraine in various capacities. However, Russia strongly opposes such proposals, considering them a significant escalation, and has warned of potential conflict.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin accused the West of crossing his previously stated “red lines” this week. Putin previously stated that allowing Ukraine to launch long-range Western missiles into Russia would be considered an act of war. Despite the warning, the Biden-Harris regime gave Ukraine the green light to launch ATACMS missiles into Russian territory after Harris lost the U.S. presidential election.

President-elect Donald J. Trump has stated he intends to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia and negotiate a ceasefire. Leaders in Britain and France seem opposed to peace talks, but they are much less important to the Ukrainian war effort than the U.S.

UN Inspector Warns Iran Nears Nuclear-Armed State Status.

Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), claims Iran is nearing the point where it should be considered on par with nuclear-armed nations. According to the IAEA Director-General and U.N. weapons inspector, the rogue Islamic Republic is believed to be near the point where it can enrich uranium for military use—including the development and production of nuclear weapons.

“It has uranium at 60 percent—90 percent is military grade—and is thus practically at the same level as nuclear-armed states,” Grossi warned earlier this week. Meanwhile, earlier this month, the Biden government admitted its Iran policy has failed to deter the Islamic Republic from continuing its pursuit of nuclear weapons. The December report, released by the Office of the United States Director of National Intelligence, alleges that “Iran now has enough fissile material to make more than a dozen nuclear weapons.”

The continued increase in uranium enrichment levels suggests Iran ignored restrictions put into effect by the 2015 nuclear deal and clandestinely continued to develop military-grade fissile material. In 2018, President Donald J. Trump withdrew from the agreement, opting instead for a maximum pressure campaign against Iran. This included aggressive sanctions, which largely crippled the Iranian economy and likely left the country’s government unable to afford continued weapons development.

From 2018 to 2021, Iran went from exporting roughly 1.8 million barrels of crude oil daily in 2017 to a historic low of under 500,000 barrels per day in 2020. In addition, the Trump sanctions cut Iran’s GPD nearly in half between 2017 and 2020, dropping from almost $500 billion to just $240 billion.

Last month, the United Nations (UN) censured Iran after the country announced it is set to initiate a program that will develop “new and advanced” centrifuges used in uranium enrichment.

Trump Welcomes Resignation of Canada’s ‘Totally Toxic’ Deputy Prime Minister.

President-elect Donald J. Trump has slammed Canada’s former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland, following her resignation, describing the globalist’s conduct as “totally toxic.” Trump made the comments on his social media platform Truth Social. “Her behavior was totally toxic and not at all conducive to making deals that are good for the very unhappy citizens of Canada. She will not be missed!!!” Trump said.

Freeland resigned after Trump proposed imposing a 25 percent tariff on Canadian goods entering the United States. Trump is demanding that Canada secure its border to avoid the tariffs.

Canada remains one of the United States’ largest export markets. Any increased tariffs would likely have significant repercussions for the Canadian economy.

Freeland resigned mere hours before the anticipated announcement of Canada’s Fall fiscal report. This confirmed a deficit of nearly $62 billion CAD. In her resignation letter, Freeland expressed disagreement with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over handling the tariff threat, emphasizing the need for a strategic, resource-conscious approach. She slammed Trudeau for “costly political gimmicks” and called for the tariff threat to be taken seriously.

After her resignation, Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc was appointed her successor. LeBlanc, a longtime ally of Trudeau, assumes his role amid internal political turmoil and public dissatisfaction.

Some Members of Parliament (MPs) for Trudeau’s Liberal Party have joined opposition leaders in calling for Trudeau’s resignation, urging an immediate election. Polling shows the Liberals would decisively lose a snap election to the Conservative Party (CPC). Trudeau also risks not being re-elected in his parliamentary seat.

Canadian Govt on the Brink as WEF Globalist Steps Down as Deputy Prime Minister.

Canada’s globalist Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland, has resigned shortly before releasing a fiscal update, claiming that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called on her to leave last Friday. The resignation follows what Freeland described as growing differences with Prime Minister Trudeau over the country’s economic direction.

In a letter shared on social media, Freeland detailed that Trudeau informed her last Friday of his desire for a change in the finance portfolio. Freeland acknowledged that she had lost the Prime Minister’s confidence. She declined an offer for a different ministerial role but expressed her desire to remain active in politics by running in the next federal election.

Freeland and Trudeau have reportedly disagreed on various issues. Freeland is concerned about the threat of 25 percent tariffs mentioned by President-elect Donald J. Trump, who is pressuring Canada to secure its border. In her letter, she described Trudeau as engaging in “costly political gimmicks, which we can ill afford” rather than taking Trump’s tariff threat seriously.

Freeland has been one of Trudeau’s closest allies over the years and is a noted globalist, working directly with the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a member of the Forum’s Board of Trustees.

Part Ukrainian, Freeland has also been a hawk regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine and has been banned from entering Russia for years. Controversially, her grandfather was a Nazi sympathizer during the Second World War, running a pro-Nazi newspaper.

In September of last year, Freeland was one of the Liberal Party members who greeted Ukrainian Waffen SS veteran Jaroslav Hunka in the Canadian parliament during President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit.

Assad Breaks Silence, Claims He Intended to Continue Fighting from Russian Base.

Former Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad has issued his first statement since his ouster by Turkey-backed jihadist rebels, denying he fled the country as “part of a plan” and claiming he initially intended to carry on fighting from the Alawite heartland of Latakia. “As terrorism spread across Syria and ultimately reached Damascus on the evening of Saturday 7 December 2024, questions arose about the president’s fate and whereabouts,” reads the statement—posted to a Telegram account associated with the Syrian presidency but not yet independently verified. It complains of “a flood of misinformation and narratives far removed from the truth, aimed at recasting international terrorism as a liberation revolution for Syria.”

Assad, if he is the author of the statement, said he traveled to the Russian airbase of Hmeimim in Latakia, only hours after rebel forces had entered Damascus, intending to “oversee combat operations.” Latakia is home to most of Syria’s Alawite minority, which the Assad clan hails from, and he may have hoped members of the Shia offshoot sect would offer stiffer resistance to the mostly Sunni jihadists of the Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group than government forces elsewhere.

However, Assad claims he found that Syrian soldiers had already left their posts and that the Russians made the decision to exfiltrate after Hmeimim began to be targeted by drones.

“With no viable means of leaving the base, Moscow requested that the base’s command arrange an immediate evacuation to Russia on the evening of Sunday 8 December,” Assad said. “This took place a day after the fall of Damascus, following the collapse of the final military positions and the resulting paralysis of all remaining state institutions.”

NO PLAN TO LEAVE.

“At no point during these events did I consider stepping down or seeking refuge, nor was such a proposal made by any individual or part,” Assad insisted, claiming that, in his mind, the “only course of action was to continue fighting against the terrorist onslaught,” and he “did not leave the country as part of a plan as it was reported earlier.”

The whereabouts of Assad, his wife Asma, and their three children were initially unclear. Russian officials later confirmed their departure following negotiations with rebels. There are concerns hundreds of thousands of Syrians, including Alawites like Assad, may attempt to leave the country like their former leader, fearing reprisals by the al-Qaeda-linked new regime.

BREAKING: German Leftist Govt Collapses.

Germany‘s leftist coalition government has collapsed following a confidence vote in the Bundestag (federal legislature), with snap elections expected sometime in February next year. Chancellor (Prime Minister) Olaf Scholz of the Social Democrats (SPD) and his allies, the Greens, lost a vote of confidence, which was expected as the two parties do not have a majority of seats in the Bundestag.

The vote came after Scholz dismissed former Finance Minister Christian Lindner of the neoliberal Free Democrats (FDP) from the government. This effectively ended the governing legislative majority, with the FDP being the third pillar of a three-party coalition.

Prior to the vote, populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) parliamentary group leader Alice Weidel slammed Scholz’s migration and economic policies. She stated that the automotive industry was in free fall, and the country was still flooded with immigrants. She also called for Syrians to return to Syria now that the Assad regime has fallen.

Notionally center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) leader Friedrich Merz also criticized Scholz, saying, “It is embarrassing how you behave at the European level.” He also called out Green Party Economic Minister Robert Habeck, saying, “You are the face of the economic crisis of this country.”

Current polling puts Merz and the CDU, the former party of Angela Merkel, at 31 percent overall when combined with their Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU) sister party.

The AfD is second in the polls at 20 percent. However, while the two right-leaning parties could have enough seats to form a majority, it is unlikely the CDU/CSU will form a government with the AfD, having vowed to cooperate with the leftist party to shut the anti-mass migration populists out of government.

The German confidence vote comes just under two weeks after the French government, led by former Brexit negotiation Michel Barnier, also collapsed after failing a confidence vote.

REPORT: CNN Freed Notorious Assad Torturer, Claimed He Was an Imprisoned Dissident.

CNN, which continues to bleed viewers and struggle to remain solvent, claimed a man in Syria they helped free last week was a political prisoner of the Assad regime. However, the individual is now believed to be a notorious regime torturer who disguised himself to evade capture.

In a video that has gone viral online, CNN journalist Clarissa Ward and a camera crew—accompanied by a Syrian rebel solider—help escort a man identifying himself as Adel Ghurbal from a Damascus prison. According to Ghurbal, he had been imprisoned 90 days before the fall of the Syrian capital and was confined to a windowless cell. However, the man’s behavior appeared strange to many who viewed the video.

While Ghurbal claimed to have not seen sunlight in 90 days, he didn’t wince when outdoors in the sun again. Additionally, Ghurbal was well groomed for someone confined to a damp and dark cell for three months—his hair and fingernails appeared well-kept, and he showed no signs of torture commonly seen in other prisons freed by the rebels.

NOTORIOUS TORTURER.

However, analysis by the independent Syrian civil war fact checker Verify-Sy suggests that the prisoner’s real name is not Adel Ghurbal at all. Instead, the man in the video is actually believed to be Salama Mohammad Salama. A first lieutenant in Syrian Air Force intelligence, Salama is an alleged war criminal and one of the Assad regime’s top torturers, who would often extort prisoners for money in exchange for not torturing them.

According to local Damascus residents, Salama was confined in the prison for just a few weeks following a dispute with a superior over dividing the extortion money.

CNN says it is aware that the man in its video may have given a false identity and is investigating the matter.

Macron Picks New PM That Predictably No One Likes.

French President Emmanuel Macron has appointed his fourth Prime Minister this year, choosing a centrist ally after his previous one lasted just three months in office. François Bayrou, a long-time ally of President Emmanuel Macron, has been appointed the head of France’s new government.

The announcement comes after the previous administration, led by the European Union’s former Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, collapsed after being unable to find support among the left or Marine Le Pen‘s populist National Rally (RN). The dissolution of the Barnier government marked a record for being the shortest-lived in modern French history.

Bayrou, 73, has served as the Mayor of Pau in the Pyrenees for a decade and held ministerial roles in the 1990s. He has also run for the presidency thrice and briefly served as Macron’s justice minister in 2017. His tenure was cut short after 35 days due to allegations related to the misuse of European Union funds, though he was subsequently cleared.

Le Pen’s RN has expressed willingness to observe Bayrou’s government, calling for the new Prime Minister to “hear and listen to the opposition in order to construct a reasonable and thoughtful budget.” In contrast, the far-left France Unbowed party has promised to oppose the new government. The party’s leader, Mathilde Pinot, has hinted that she will introduce another confidence vote, while the Socialists say they will not participate in the government.

The situation could end up exactly like that of former Prime Minister Michel Barnier, with Le Pen again in control of whether or not the government survives the next budget vote or collapses.

Now Nearly Half of Canadians Say They’re In Favor of Mass Deportations.

Even the notably pro-mass immigration Canada seems to be second-guessing their open borders policies. A new poll suggests nearly half of the country’s population now supports mass deportations to fight illegal immigration.

The polling firm Leger found that 48 percent of Canadians now favor mass deportations as a way to control illegal immigration, just a single percentage behind the number of Americans who also support such a policy. Canadians, once one of the most pro-immigration populations in the Western world, are also increasingly skeptical of legal immigration. The poll found that 65 percent of Canadians think Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government is accepting too many immigrants legally.

While the number of illegal border crossers to Canada pales in comparison with the United States, an estimated 500,000 people live in Canada illegally after either overstaying visas or coming to the country illegally. America’s northern neighbor, which has a population of nearly 42 million people, has seen unprecedented levels of immigration under Trudeau, with legal migration driving the population to increase by over a million people in the span of just a year.

Mass deportations are favored by President-elect Donald J. Trump, who has called for the large-scale removal of illegals across the United States. The immigration enforcement operation will be overseen by former ICE official Tom Homan, who Trump has tapped as his border czar.

Some Democrats have pledged to resist efforts to deport illegals, including Denver mayor Mike Johnston, who said he would be willing to go to jail to block deportations. Homan, in response, said he would be willing to arrest Mayor Johnson if need be. Others, however, like the Democrat Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, have stated they will work with the incoming Trump administration on illegal migration issues.

NATO Chief Says Ukraine War Has Now Claimed a MILLION Lives.

NATO head Mark Rutte claims the number of people killed or severely injured in the war between Russia and Ukraine has passed by a million casualties, stating that as many as 10,000 people are killed or wounded every week. “Every day, this war causes more devastation and death,” Rutte said during a press conference in Brussels this week amid a meeting of the NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs.

The exact number of casualties since the war began in February of 2022 is unknown, as neither Russia nor Ukraine publish any official figures. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that only 43,000 soldiers have been killed in the fighting, but many experts put the fatality rates for Ukraine much higher.

President-elect Donald J. Trump stated on Truth Social that the Ukrainians may have lost as many as 400,000 troops to death or injuries, adding that Russian casualties could number as high as 600,000. The Economist magazine, meanwhile, estimates that as many as 100,000 Ukrainians have died in the conflict, and the BBC has claimed that anywhere between 141,000 to 197,000 Russians have been killed.

TRUMP DEMANDS A CEASEFIRE.

Trump has made it clear to all sides involved that he wants to see the conflict end as soon as possible, calling for an immediate ceasefire.

“Too many lives are being so needlessly wasted, too many families destroyed, and if it keeps going, it can turn into something much bigger, and far worse,” Trump said.

While both Ukraine and Russia have suggested they are open to dialogue, it is unlikely Russia will give up territories like Crimea or the regions it has claimed as part of Russia since the outbreak of the conflict. These include Donetsk, Luhansk, and other southern regions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stated that any negotiation must be based on the Istanbul deal, negotiated in 2022. The deal, before former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the Biden-Harris regime sabotaged it, would not only recognize the southern regions as Russian but would also demand Ukraine become formally neutral and not enter NATO.
