Italy to Exit China’s ‘Belt & Road’ Scheme, But Sends Letter to CCP Promoting Continued Partnership.

Italy is leaving China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), entered into in 2019 against the advice of the Trump administration. Sources have disclosed that Italy’s exit was formally announced to China three days ago, after a week of secret negotiations.

Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said in the summer that “[t]he decision to join the Silk Road was an improvised and atrocious act” and had overwhelmingly benefited Chinese exporters rather than Italian exporters.

“The issue today is how to walk back [from the BRI] without damaging relations [with China]. Because it is true that China is a competitor, but it is also a partner,” he said.

This cautious approach has been realized in the way Italy’s exit has been revealed by sources, without any public statements. The Italians handed China a letter pledging to maintain a strategic partnership despite dropping the BRI.

Some will view the move by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as positive. It deprives the BRI, widely viewed as an economic and political influence peddling scheme, of its only G7 member. Others may see it as a sign she is still focusing too much on meeting the foreign policy expectations of the U.S. and European Union.

Meloni was elected on a populist anti-illegal immigration platform. Illegal immigration has actually worsened, however, while she has appeared more interested in supporting Ukraine.

Kiev Mayor Turns On Zelensky, Calls Him Isolated & Authoritarian.

Vitali Klitschko, the former boxing heavyweight champion turned Mayor of Kiev, has called Volodymyr Zelensky an autocrat and suggests the Ukrainian President is slowly paying for the strategic mistakes that he has continued to make throughout the war.

Klitschko, who was elected Kiev Mayor in 2014, told German magazine Der Spiegel that Zelensky is becoming isolated and is adopting “authoritarian tendencies” that pose a danger to Ukrainian society. He said, “At some point we will no longer be any different from Russia, where everything depends on the whim of one man.”

In another interview with Swiss media, he explained, “People wonder why we weren’t better prepared for this war, why Zelensky denied until the end that it would come to this.”

“People see who’s effective and who’s not. And there were and still are a lot of expectations. Zelensky is paying for mistakes he has made,” Klitschko added.

Meanwhile, domestic and international pressure is mounting on Zelensky, who was forced to admit on Monday that the counter-offensive “did not achieve the desired results.” The Ukrainian President blamed the West for failing to provide the weapons and assistance necessary for the operation to succeed.

Hamas

DATA: Gen Z As Likely To Call Hamas ‘Freedom Fighters’ As They Are ‘Terrorists’.

Generation Z, those born between 1997 and 2012, are just as likely to call members of Hamas “freedom fighters” as they are to call them “terrorists,” according to recent polling by the British organization More in Common.

Just under one-quarter of Generation Z – 24 percent – termed Hamas “freedom fighters,” with the same amount calling them “terrorists.” A further 35 percent said they were not sure.

Millennials, born between 1981 and 1996, were similarly more open to calling Hamas freedom fighters than other generations, at 19 percent. However, the majority still called those who launched a violent incursion into Israel on October 7 as terrorists, at 32 percent.

Older generations were far more hostile to Hamas, with 72 percent of the silent generation, those older than 75, 56 percent of baby boomers, aged between 56 and 74, and 40 percent of Generation X, between 41 and 55 years old, labeling the organization’s members as terrorists.

Pollsters also learned that sympathy for Hamas was higher in London than any other region in Britain. Graduates were “twice as likely” to sympathize with Hamas and those in the Gaza Strip than Israel.

“One by-product of the Israel-Gaza conflict is that it’s simply made it impossible to ignore the growing divides in Western societies,” argues political commentator Matt Goodwin.

The divides have been stoked by “mass immigration, a failing policy of multiculturalism, the rise of the radical woke left, and our increasingly left-leaning educational institutions which are, very clearly, leaving many young people with a warped view of the world,” he adds.

Belgian City Planned Black, Female Santa Who Railed Against Colonialism and Wore a Palestinian Flag.

The Belgian city of Ghent has been forced to cancel a Christmas event featuring a black female Santa Claus who called for the nation to be liberated from its “colonial ideology.” The character – “Queen Nikkolah” – was marketed as an African alternative to Santa, replacing his red suit with a Palestinian flag.

Laura Nsengiyumva created Queen Nikkolah in 2017, and intended to provide kids with a far-left spin no Christmas. Nsengiyumva claims Nikkolah was born from a need to “deconstruct the colonial myth around Sinterklaas” – the Dutch St. Nicholas figure.

The decision was criticized by Mayor Mathias De Clercq: “There is nothing wrong with Sinterklaas, as we know him… We shouldn’t try to turn him into something else.”

Members of the New Flemish Alliance Party (N-VA) similarly called out the event as “woker than woke.”

The news comes amid ongoing discussions about racial stereotyping in the Christmas traditions of Belgium and the Netherlands. Specifically, the figure of ‘Black Pete’ or Zwarte Piet, a black-faced boy with painted red lips who accompanies Sinterklaas, has come under fire. Last month, the city of Kortrijk saw its first protest demanding a more inclusive celebration without stereotypes.

60% of Welfare Recipients in Germany Are from Migrant Backgrounds.

More than 60 percent of those receiving state welfare (Bürgergeld) in Germany – those who are able to work but refuse to – come from migrational backgrounds, with that number rising well above 70 percent in certain areas, according to statistics published by the German Federal Employment Agency (BA).

The number has increased by almost three percent compared to last year, indicating that migrants or those with migrant backgrounds are vastly overrepresented as welfare recipients. They currently make up 24.3 percent of the German population.

In the federal state of Hessen, where one in three are from migrant backgrounds, the number receiving welfare increases to 76 percent. The second highest is Baden-Württemberg, in which 73.7 percent of those from migrant backgrounds get state handouts.

“The migration policy of the last decades has failed catastrophically. Rigorous measures are now needed to stop immigration into our social systems. Complete border protection and rejections at our national borders, consistent deportations, and, from now on, only benefits in kind instead of cash for asylum seekers and refugees,” stated Alternative for Germany (AfD) politicians Rene Springer.

This follows the revelation that Germany has paid just under $150 billion to foreigners since 2010, with the proportion of those receiving welfare increasing by a staggering 122 percent.

Denmark Is Demolishing Migrant Ghettos As a Last Resort to Force Integration.

The Danish government has begun destroying majority-migrant ‘no-go zones’ and ghettos – also known as “vulnerable areas” – in an effort to impose integration and reduce the opportunities for “parallel societies” to develop.

The country’s leadership recently sent bulldozers to flatten Vollsmose, a suburb of the city of Odense, which was home to 9,000 people – the vast majority of whom were from “non-Western backgrounds.” The suburb was designated as Denmark’s largest vulnerable area due to its high criminality and low employment, education, and average income.

Residents of the suburb have been relocated to other parts of the city with lower migrant populations following the demolition.

The move forms part of a larger effort by the Danish government to avoid migrant ghettoization. Successive governments have promised to, among other things, dismantle “parallel societies” by the end of the decade, deport all foreigners who have their asylum claims rejected, impose harsher criminal penalties on those convicted of crimes from vulnerable areas, and require children to spend at least 25 hours per week in preschools where they will be taught Denmark‘s language and values.

The Danish government has continued the policy despite multiple legal challenges in both domestic and European courts, with dissenters arguing the policy and use of words such as “non-Western” are “discriminatory.”

However, Denmark’s Immigration and Integration Minister, Kaare Dybvad, fired back: “The problems are not in areas with mainly British or Norwegian citizens, but in those where you have people from the Middle East and North Africa, which are also the areas where people don’t have jobs, and there’s a high crime rate.”

“We are doing it because it is the right thing to do,” he added.

NZ Authorities Arrest & Charge Whistleblower Who Exposed COVID Vaccine Deaths.

New Zealand authorities have arrested and charged a Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) statistician turned whistleblower who exposed the staggering number of deaths caused by the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

Barry Young, 56, arrested on Sunday afternoon, faces up to seven years in prison after being charged with “accessing a computer system for dishonest purposes” in a Wellington court on Monday morning.

He revealed in a Rumble documentary by FreeNZ Media, entitled M.O.A.R. (Mother of All Revelations), that thousands of deaths caused by the COVID-19 vaccine had been recorded by the country’s government.  Young, who was able to access New Zealand’s vaccine data as a result of his position, analyzed the ratio between each batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines and deaths.

He exposed that 152 out of the 711 people – 21.38 percent – who received a vaccine from “Batch ID 1” subsequently died as a result. This was followed by 17.19 percent of the 221 people from “Batch ID 8” died, 15.48 percent of the 221 people from “Batch ID 3,” 10.16 percent of the 364 from “Batch ID 4,” 10.04 percent of the 1006 people from “Batch ID 6,” and 9.63 percent of the 1018 people from Batch ID 2, among other batches.

He went on to highlight that the chances of the vaccine batches not being a killer are one “hundred billion to one.” “If you look at the underlying mortality rate, and then you look at the ratio percentage here, [Batch ID 1], the chances of that occurring naturally… is almost impossible.”

During his arraignment, the courtroom was filled with supporters who stood and clapped Young for his bravery in exposing the information. The presiding District Court Judge Andrew Nicholls threatened those in attendance, telling  them “any more disruption and I’ll ask you to leave.”

Shortly after Young was arraigned, New Zealand Health Minister Shane Reti told the media the leaks were “extremely concerning,” adding, “The security of health data is of utmost importance. I have requested reassurance around the robustness of the health data protection services, and Te Whatu Ora will report back to me on the results of their investigation.”

Zelensky Admits Counter-Offensive Failure: ‘We Did Not Achieve the Desired Results’.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky had admitted his counter-offensive has failed, and the war is now in a “new phase”.

“We wanted faster results,” the Ukrainian leader said. “From that perspective, unfortunately, we did not achieve the desired results. And this is a fact,” he conceded.

Zelensky explained there is “not enough power to achieve the desired results faster,” complaining his Western sponsors did not give him all the weapons he asked for. He also expressed concerns the Israel-Hamas war is shifting U.S. focus away from his war effort.

“You see, attention equals help. No attention will mean no help. We fight for every bit of attention,” he explained. “Without attention, there may be weakness in Congress.”

The Joe Biden regime already appears to have begun pressing the Ukrainians to come to terms with Russia. Officials in Germany, the European Union’s biggest economy, are assisting them, warning Zelensky “should come to the realization that things cannot go on like this.”

There is an increasing sense that, after the failure of this year’s Ukrainian counter-offensive, the West cannot equip another one.

“We built up this mountain of steel for the counter-offensive. We can’t do that again,” said one now-former U.S. official. “It doesn’t exist.”

US ‘Out of Money’ for Ukraine, Says White House.

The United States is almost out of money to give to Ukraine unless Congress agrees to send another financial package, according to a letter written to congressional leaders by the White House’s budget director Shalanda Young on Monday.

The letter states, “Without congressional action, by the end of the year, we will run out of resources to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from US military stocks.”

“There is no magical pot of funding available to meet this moment. We are out of money – and nearly out of time,” it continues.

“Cutting off the flow of US weapons and equipment will kneecap Ukraine on the battlefield, not only putting at risk the gains Ukraine has made, but increasing the likelihood of Russian military victories,” the letter adds.

The U.S. Congress has already approved over $113 billion in various forms of aid to Ukraine since the start of the war in February last year. Over the past several months, President Biden has encouraged Congress to green-light another spending package that would prove $106 to the country’s so-called foreign policy priorities, including Ukraine.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has similarly announced his intention to send more taxpayer dollars to Ukraine before the end of the year, blaming the House GOP for the delays.

Conor McGregor Teases Run at Irish Presidency.

UFC star Conor McGregor has hinted at plans to run for President of Ireland. Incumbent Michael D. Higgins began his second and final seven-year term in 2018.

The former two-weight world champion has been increasingly vocal about against mass migration to Ireland in recent months. McGregor blasted the European Union’s open borders, which allowed a pedophile to move to Ireland and kill a young woman. He criticized immigration policy more broadly after an Algerian migrant stabbed a woman and three toddlers near a school. McGregor even appeared to suggest locals should destroy empty hotels the government plans to fill with migrants.

The role of President of Ireland is largely ceremonial, however. He can refer a bill to the Supreme Court to test its constitutionality, but does not have veto power. For the most part, he is required to follow the “advice” of the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) and his government, which enjoys executive authority. The post would simply provide McGregor with a powerful bully pulpit to influence the national discourse.

The political establishment throws up substantial roadblocks against outsider candidates. While the President is directly elected, candidates must be nominated by at least 20 members of the Oireachtas (legislature) or at least four of the country’s 31 city and county councils to stand.

On six occasions, only one candidate has made the ballot, resulting in them being “elected” without a public vote.
