Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has blasted the European Union (EU) in a speech marking the anniversary of Hungary’s 1956 anti-Soviet revolution, comparing EU membership to over four decades of Soviet occupation. The Veszprem speech accused the EU of undermining Hungary’s national identity and enforcing a liberal democracy model which, he asserted, the Hungarian people reject. He insinuated that Brussels, the de facto EU capital, is employing techniques once used by Soviet domineers—a reminder of what he called “Soviet times.”
“Today, things pop up that remind us of the Soviet times. Yes, it happens that history repeats itself,” Orbán said. “Fortunately, what once was tragedy is now a comedy at best. Fortunately, Brussels is not Moscow. Moscow was a tragedy. Brussels is just a bad contemporary parody.”
But, he added, all is not lost for European governance.
“Moscow was irreparable, but Brussels and the European Union can still be fixed,” he said.uj

Former Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schröder has claimed the United States refused to allow Ukraine to sue for peace against Russia in March 2022 and deliberately sabotaged negotiations held in the Turkish capital of Istanbul last year.
Schröder, who was German Chancellor between 1999 and 2004, recently told the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung that the window of opportunity to establish peace was missed last year because of the Biden government’s actions, with the Ukrainians even prepared to discuss the status of Crimea – annexed by the Russians in 2014.
“At the peace negotiations in Istanbul in March 2022 with Rustem Umeirov, the Ukrainians did not agree on peace because they were not allowed to. They first had to ask the Americans about everything they had discussed,” Schröder stated.
Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umierov “opened the conversation with greetings from Zelensky. As a compromise for the safety guarantees of Ukraine, the Austrian model or the 5+1 model was proposed. Umierov thought that was good. He also showed willingness on the other points. He also said that Ukraine does not want NATO membership. He also said that Ukraine wants to reintroduce Russian in Donbas,” Schröder continued.
“But in the end, nothing happened. My impression: Nothing could happen, because everything else was decided in Washington. That was fatal,” he added before showing the interviewer a copy of the newspaper Bild, which detailed the discussions between Ukraine and Russia under the title “Finally Peace in Sight.”
The former Chancellor is currently under investigation by the German Federal Prosecutor for “crime against humanity” as a result of his unwillingness to relinquish his posts at Russian energy companies and his supposed proximity to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Angela Merkel’s former party, the Christian Democrats (CDU), even suggested putting Schröder on the official European Union sanctions list after the war began.

Populist outsider Javier Milei finished in second place behind left-wing establishment candidate Sergio Massa in the Argentinian general elections on Sunday afternoon, with the country now set for a run-off vote to determine the presidency in November.
Milei – a self-described “anarcho-capitalist” and admirer of former President Donald Trump – was the favorite going into the elections and was leading the polls for the past several months at around 35 percent compared to Massa’s sub-30 numbers. The elections themselves appeared to reverse the polling predictions, however, with Massa receiving 36.6 percent support and Milei receiving 29.9 percent.
Despite receiving less support than anticipated, Milei told voters to celebrate the vote, explaining, “Today is a historic day because two-thirds of Argentinians voted for change.”
Milei, who unexpectedly triumphed in the national primaries in August this year, is running a strongly anti-establishment campaign in which he promises “an end to the parasitic, corrupt, and useless political caste that exists in [Argentina].” His libertarian, free-market economics proved especially popular with young voters amid Argentina’s ongoing economic crisis, with annual inflation soaring to 140 percent and the current poverty rate above 40 percent.
The second vote is expected to be held on November 19. The winner will take office on December 10.

Despite the United Kingdom having voted to leave in 2016, as well as increasing difficulties with eurosceptic governments in Central Europe, globalists have not given up their dream of smashing Europe’s ancient nation-states together into a U.S.-style federation, with the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) renewing the case on Tuesday.
An article penned for the organization by Razvan Nicolescu, a former Romanian government minister who now works for Deloitte, insists the solution to the issues presented by an increasingly multipolar world is “quickening the pace of the European integration process… to build a United States of Europe”.
Nicolescu’s chief complaint is that as things stand, national governments can “abuse their veto power” by refusing certain contentious policies – such as migrant redistribution – and he argues greater centralization (and less national sovereignty) is required to ensure “effective leadership”.
“A United States of Europe will be able to implement a serious concrete plan for the rapid and full integration of Western Balkans countries, Ukraine, Moldova, and Turkey,” the article boasts, describing a state which would extend from the Azores in the mid-Atlantic to the borders of Syria, Iraq, and Iran.
“The new project should be left open for the United Kingdom to join; indeed, a United States of Europe was advocated by none other than Winston Churchill in 1946,” it adds.

The Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas terrorist organization, has announced that it has released two American hostages into Egyptian custody after intervening mediation by the Qatari government. Although it is currently unclear why the two American hostages – a mother and daughter – were released, Hamas is claiming it made the decision based on ‘humanitarian grounds.’
Two weeks ago Hamas terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip launched a surprise attack against Israeli civilians, killing over 1,000 men, women, and children. The terrorist group, which govern’s the Gaza territory, took over 200 Israeli and American citizens hostage and indications are they intend to be used as human shields in Gaza if Israeli invades the territory.
Yoav Gallant, the Israeli defense minister, has ordered a “complete siege” of the Gaza Strip, vowing: “There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed.”
“We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly,” Gallant said.
Last week U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) declared it is “time to take the war to the Ayatollah’s backyard,” urging the U.S. government to bomb Iran every time Hamas executes one of its Israeli hostages in Gaza. It is widely believed that Iran helped plan and execute Hamas’s attack on Israel.
The Republican war hawk told Fox that “for every Israeli or American hostage executed by Hamas, we should take down an Iranian oil refinery.”Hamas has threatened to execute one of the estimated 150 hostages it took back to Gaza during its 48-hour incursion into Israel on video every time “our people who are safe in their homes [are bombed] without warning” in Israeli air strikes.

The British government, which has already imported over 20,000 Afghans to the United Kingdom following Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Kabul, is footing the hotel bills of thousands more in Pakistan as they await their chance to be imported too.
Around 3,000 Afghans eligible for resettlement in Britain are believed to be in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital, as the British government had ceased chartering flights and begun asking migrants to arrange their own housing in Britain before arriving. What the British government has been doing, however, is paying for them to live in Pakistani hotels – a service it has also been providing to illegal migrants in Britain itself, at a cost of roughly £8 million (~$10 million) per day.
With the Pakistani government having now ordered Afghans in the country illegally to leave or face deportation starting in November, British deep state diplomats are urging the government to accelerate the process of bringing these Afghans to the United Kingdom. The British government appears ready to comply, and has now waived the requirement for Afghans in Pakistan to arrange their own housing.
At least some of the Afghans imported to Britain already were on watch lists or had previously been deported from the country, but the British government has refused to provide exact numbers in case they result in Afghans being stigmatized.

The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam warned the West was funding the radicalization of Palestinians over a decade ago in an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal, written while he was leading Britain’s ‘Coalition Against Hate Education’.
“[W]e can’t ignore what goes on in Israel and the Palestinian territories, if for no reason other than we’re affecting it: Our money is supporting indoctrination in the territories that is sowing the seeds of future conflict for decades to come,” Kassam explained in the 2010 article, describing how the United States, the European Union, and individual EU member-states had been pumping vast sums of money into the Palestinian territories – even as Hamas was winning (now abandoned) elections in them.
Kassam also addressed claims mechanisms could be put in place to ensure the money was not used to fund terrorism – similar to the claims the Joe Biden has regime has made with respect to the $6 billion it recently freed up for Iran – and provided examples of the money being misused, including an EU-funded game show, emblazoned with EU flags, claiming all of Israel as Arab territory.
“All this is particularly worrying given the demographics of the Palestinian population – some 42 percent are under 15 years old,” Kassam wrote, referring to public television broadcasts and school textbooks, paid for by Western largesse, praising Islamist insurgencies and hailing so-called martrys.
Thirteen years on, the warnings seem prescient: many of the Palestinian youths being indoctrinated in Gaza in 2010 will have been young adults by of this year’s deadly terror raid on Israel. Some may well have taken part in it.

Egypt is stridently refusing to take in Palestinian refugees, and has warned the European Union (EU) it will send Europe a million Gazans if they are pressured into opening their border – despite accepting billions in financial assistance from the bloc.
“You want us to take one million people? Well, I am going to send them to Europe. You care about human rights so much – well, you take them,” a senior but so far unnamed Egyptian official told one of his European counterparts this week, according to Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper.
This follows King Abdullah II of Jordan insisting there would be “no refugees in Jordan, no refugees in Egypt” at a press conference in Germany.
Egypt’s population has exploded from around 27 million in 1960 to roughly 110 million today, so taking in a million Gazans would not present any serious issues for the country in terms of its demographics or age structure. They would also pose fewer cultural and social issues than in Europe, as both Gazans and Egyptians are predominantly Arabic-speaking Sunni Muslims.
Nevertheless, it is leftist politicians in small European nations even outside the EU, such as Humza Yousaf in Scotland, who seem most keen on taking in Palestinians.
“In the past, people in Scotland and across the UK have opened our hearts and our homes; we’ve welcomed those from Syria, from Ukraine, and many other countries… we must do so again,” said the First Minister – roughly equivalent to a U.S. state governor – whose in-laws are currently in Gaza.

Airports in the French cities of Lyon, Toulouse, and Lille have been evacuated in the latest string of security alerts in the “multicultural” nation since a Hamas terror raid on Israel.
The Palace of Versailles, once the seat of the French royal family, was evacuated “for security reasons” on Wednesday – the third such incident since the weekend. The Louvre Museum, home to iconic artworks including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, was also evacuated Saturday.
France has been on high alert since the ongoing clash between Israel and jihadist groups including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Middle East heightened tensions Western Europe, where Muslims have turned out in large numbers to support the Palestinians.
A Chechen refugee on the country’s national watch list stabbed a teacher to death just days ago while shouting “Allah hu Akbar” – although the incident was yet to be definitively linked to events in Israel as of the time of publication.
France, home to Europe’s largest Muslim population, has been targeted by more radical Islamic terror attacks than any other country on the continent in recent years, with the deadliest being the 2015 attacks which saw 131 people massacred at the Bataclan theater and elsewhere in Paris.

Around 20 police officers have been injured following a night of violent Muslim-led rioting across the German capital of Berlin on Tuesday, which also saw one of the city’s main synagogues firebombed.
The city’s authorities were forced to deploy water canons and police dogs in an effort to disperse the crowds after they began hurling stones and pyrotechnics at the police while others set fire to barricades. Police officers were also deployed to protect the German memorial to the Holocaust as well as the Brandenburg Gate.
Two people also threw Molotov cocktails at a Berlin synagogue in the early hours of Wednesday morning before covering their faces and fleeing the scene. While police investigated the incident several hours later, another man charged at the synagogue, shouting “anti-Israeli slogans” before being apprehended.
The violence is understood to have begun following false reports that Israel killed least 500 people were killed due to an explosion at the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City earlier in the evening. It now looks increasingly like the bombing was an errant Islamic Jihad rocket attack.
“We are experiencing the effects of a religious war on the streets of the capital, in which our emergency services are becoming targets of religious fanaticism,” stated Berlin’s chief of police, Stephan Weh, on Wednesday morning.
“Above all, the families from the neighborhood around the synagogue are shocked and unsettled. Words become deeds. Hamas’ ideology of extermination against everything Jewish is also having an effect in Germany,” said the German Jewish Group, the Central Council of Jews.
Riots broke out in Berlin last night after the strike on the Al-Ahly hospital in Gaza.
