Investigative news outfit Project Veritas released another, leaked CNN editorial call on Wednesday afternoon wherein network executive Cynthia Hudson insists Cubans are backing President Trump because they’re “very attracted to bullies.” The claim has been called “racist.”
Hudson – Senior Vice President and Managing Director of CNN – not only slams Cubans as “attracted to bullies” but insists the “only reason” the group supports President Trump is because of his “communism and socialism rhetoric”:
“Trump has used the communism, socialism rhetoric as part of his hook for the Cubans in Miami, how that has resonated and how the Biden team, has not done enough to counter that. This is all that, that the only reason they are supporting Trump is because of that narrative. And that narrative, and the fact that sadly, I have to say, there’s a population that’s very attracted to bullies.”
Later, in the call, Hudson laments how “no one is countering” President Trump’s winning messaging on socialism. She speaks like a campaign staffer, rather than a television executive.
Instead of encouraging objective report, she notes: “there is a way to counter the narrative in Florida that is not being taken advantage of”:
“And no one is countering it properly in Florida, the Cubans are going to vote for Trump. And that’s terrifying. And, so, I think that there is a way to counter the narrative in Florida that is not being taken advantage of.”
Many, including Donald Trump Jr. slammed the network executive’s comments, as “racist.”
