Biden VP Shortlister Espoused ‘Deep Commitment’ to ‘Regular’ Chinese Military Co-operation

Potential Democrat vice presidential pick has a collaborators record concerning the Chinese Communist Party, spearheading “unprecedented levels” of co-operation with the regime and insisting she “welcomes a rising China” while serving as Obama’s National Security Advisor.

CHINA’S RISE, AMERICA’S DECLINE.

Addressing Chinese Communist Party (CCP) apparatchiks part of a 2015 delegation to the U.S., Rice spoke at George Washington University and extolled China’s rise:

“The United States welcomes a rising China that is peaceful, stable, prosperous, and a responsible player in global affairs.”

Emphasizing “it’s natural that China take on greater leadership,” Rice insisted that when the CCP plays a larger role on the world stage “the United States and the world benefits.”

The CCP’s handling of coronavirus, replete with obscuring data and thwarting World Health Organization officials from sharing critical information with the world writ large, however, tells a different story.

She boasted “Under President Obama’s leadership, we have deepened our engagement with China at every level,” including “cooperation in space” and “bolster[ing] our military-to-military ties with China” by “increas[ing] military exchanges and making high-level visits a regular occurrence.”

“We are steadily and methodically expanding the breadth and depth of our cooperation with China,” Rice concluded while praising former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, notoriously soft on the CCP.

Given China’s track record of intellectual property theft, espionage, and hacking directed at American corporates and government agencies, advocacy for closer ties presents a grave national security threat.

REPEAT OFFENDER.

Calls for increased collaboration between the CCP and the U.S. were not an isolated incident but rather the foundational underpinning of Rice’s China approach.

She told state-run media outlet China Central Television in 2014 that she was championing “strengthening economic ties” between the two countries along with bolstering “military-to-military ties.”

Later in 2015, while meeting with high-ranking People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Generals in Beijing, Rice pushed for increased collaboration between the U.S. and Chinese militaries:

“The quality and frequency of our interactions at the high level, including between the United States and the PLA, underscores the importance we place on the military-to-military relationship. We’re deeply committed to building a healthy, stable, reliable military-to-military relationship.”

And in 2016, while speaking in Beijing with CCP State Councilor Yang Jiechi, Rice bragged that the Obama administration was responsible for “taking U.S.-China cooperation to unprecedented levels.”

Despite encouraging China to become a “responsible stakeholder,” these ambitions never materialized and instead left the CCP emboldened and wealthier from the Obama administration’s naïveté.

OUTSOURCING EN MASSE.

As a high-ranking official of the Obama administration, serving as Ambassador the United Nations from 2009 to 2013 and chief National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2017, Rice played a pivotal role in crafting the “Pivot to Asia” strategy which saw the U.S. make diplomatic and economic overtures to the CCP in pursuit of a closer relationship.

One such policy, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, epitomized the Obama administration’s China doctrine, urging closer economic ties despite the fact the free trade agreement would have butchered millions of U.S. jobs and continue to cripple the country’s manufacturing base.

Rice, however, remarked that President Trump’s pull-out from the deal “was an extremely big mistake,” hailing the agreement as “beneficial for the U.S.”

The aforementioned remarks came from Rice headlining the National Committee on U.S. China Relations, a pro-China lobby group, townhall in 2017. A testament to the committee’s allegiance, the town hall was allowed to air in the notoriously censorship-heavy China, along with a host of U.S.-based Confucius Institutes, controversial propaganda fronts for the CCP.

TWO CC-PEAS IN A POD.

Rice’s soft positioning on the CCP is cut from the same cloth of Biden’s decades of CCP appeasement – at great cost to American jobs and workers.

Indistinguishable from Rice, Biden has also hailed China’s rise in speeches and op-eds alongside calls for increased collaboration between the two countries regarding “all levels of [U.S.] government, classrooms, laboratories, athletic fields, and boardrooms” and praising China for “fueling the world’s prosperity.”

While Rice’s iniquities regarding the bungled Russian collusion hoax and fabricated Steele Dossier may disqualify her from serving as Biden’s veep, her track record with the CCP should shape up to be yet another blow to the prospect.
