Sen. Fetterman Blasts South Africa’s ‘Genocide Hypocrisy’ Over White Farmer Murders.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) continues to buck the progressive trend in the Democrat Party, this time pointing out the hypocrisy of the South African government pursuing genocide charges against Israel in the International Court of Justice. During a recent event, the Pennsylvania Democrat blasted the African nation for claiming Israel was committing genocide against Palestinians given its own, genocidal policies towards white Afrikaaner farmers.

Farm murders in South Africa, where farmers are mostly white, have increased sharply quarter-on-quarter, according to a leading civil rights organization, with President Trump having taken a particularly keen interest in the subject during his time in office. Indeed, the leader of the “Kill the Boer” chants has publicly supported Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Who [is Israel] really fighting? It is a group of cowards. They hide in tunnels. They hide behind civilians. They attack, mutilate, and kill children and women. Stop talking about proportion… [Hamas] shot their best shot on October 7th,” Fetterman told a room of supporters, before continuing: “Now that we’re talking about ‘genocide’, and now South Africa is bringing that kind of a trial. Maybe South Africa ought to sit this one out.”

Fetterman, who has served for nearly one year in the U.S. Senate, has made several recent policy breaks with his Democrat colleagues — most notably on the subjects of Israel, immigration, and whether or not Sen. Bob Menendez should resign over corruption allegations. In late December, the junior Senator from Pennsylvania told POLITICO in an interview: “I would be the last man standing to be absolutely there on the Israeli side on this with no conditions.”

The Pennsylvania Democrat has also received praise from conservative Republicans over his recognition of the seriousness of the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border. Addressing Republican calls for action by Congress and the White House to end the crisis, Fetterman recently said: “It’s a reasonable conversation — until somebody can say there’s an explanation on what we can do when 270,000 people are being encountered on the border, not including the ones, of course, that we don’t know about.”

Farm Attacks Up 21 Percent in Anti-White South Africa.

Attacks on South Africa’s predominantly white farmers increased by 21 percent in the third quarter of 2023, with 88 attacks launched for an average of almost one per day.

The figures were collected by the Community Safety Division of AfriForum, a civil rights organization with a focus on the Afrikaans-speaking white minority, often referred to as Boers. Covering the period from July to September, they contrast with 73 farm attacks from April to June, although murders during farm attacks are down from 23 to 13.

The attackers, who average 2.33 per incident, generally target the elderly, with the average age of the average age of their victims being over 60.

Rhetoric against Afrikaners and the white minority more generally in South Africa has intensified in recent months, with Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party leading packed stadiums in chants of “shoot to kill… kill the Boer, the farmer.”

The South African government, led by the African National Congres (ANC), is also targeting white farmers, by pushing to expropriate and redistribute their land without compensation and forcing them to submit to onerous “black economic empowerment” regulations or face restrictions on their ability to export to the United Kingdom and the European Union.

‘Kill the Boer’ Gang Break Into White Farmer’s Home, Stab Wife With Spear.

A four-strong gang in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, broke into the home of a white farmer chanting “kill the Boer, kill the farmer” and violently assaulted him and his wife, stabbing the latter with a spear.

Tim and Amanda Platt were beaten with “pipes, crowbars, and other instruments” by the gang, said Jacques Broodryk, a spokesman for the AfriForum group which supports South Africa’s Dutch-descended Boer (Afrikaner) minority.

Amanda was reportedly “beaten with a bolt cutter and lead pipes, and eventually stabbed with a spear.” Incredibly, she managed to escape the fracas while her husband was still fighting with their attackers, and returned armed to save him as they fled.

Julius Malema, the Marxist-Leninist lawmaker who leads the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party in South Africa, recently led a packed stadium in chants of “shoot to kill, kill the Boer, the farmer” – an incident that gained international attention after South Africa-born Elon Musk highlighted it as a call to “racial genocide”.

As President, Donald Trump tasked then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with investigating “the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers” in 2018.

It is unclear whether or not Pompeo ever did so, and the expropriation of white-owned land without compensation is back on the South African government’s agenda now Joe Biden is in the White House.

South African Farm Murders Are Up 167 Percent on Last Quarter.

Farm murders in South Africa, where farmers are mostly white, have increased sharply quarter-on-quarter, according to a leading civil rights organization.

“Although the number of [farm] attacks for the first and second quarter is more or less the same, murders increased by 167 percent – from nine in the first quarter to 24 in the second quarter,” reports Jacques Broodryk, community safety spokesman for the AfriForum organization which represents the Afrikaner minority, often referred to as Boers.

The South African authorities appear to be of little help, with just 15 of the 76 farm attacks recorded in the second quarter of 2023 seeing suspects arrested. They may be taking their lead from President Cyril Ramaphosa, who has refused to authorize a commission of inquiry into farm attacks and denies they are being orchestrated to drive white people off their land.

Ramaphosa has himself championed a bill authorizing the seizure of white people’s farmland without compensation, which stalled after then-U.S. President Donald Trump intervened in 2018 but has been revived now that Joe Biden occupies the Oval Office.

The plight of South Africa’s white minority has been elevated overseas in recent days by Elon Musk, the South African-born owner of the X (formerly Twitter) social media platform.

Musk publicly denounced Ramaphosa over his failure to challenge Julius Malema, the Marxist-Leninist leader of South Africa’s third-largest political party, for leading a packed stadium in chants of “kill the Boer, the farmer!”

Musk also slammed The New York Times, which ran an article suggesting the chant should not be “taken literally,” for “support[ing] calls for genocide.”

Malema’s rally was followed by a brutal farm attack in which a 79-year-old man was murdered by intruders who beat him with a pipe and slit his throat.
