Before a packed-out crowd at the Turning Point AmFest conference, The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam, Human Events host Jack Posobiec, War Room co-host Natalie Winters, and author Joshua Lisec discussed how being a “social media influencer” is simply not enough, especially for the youth of the Western world.

Former President Donald Trump was far-and-away the preferred 2024 Republican presidential nominee among attendees at Turning Point USA’s 2023 AmericaFest – capturing 83-percent support among the 1,113 surveyed. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy came in second and third, respectively, with just 7.6-percent and 5.8-percent support.
Despite her ‘apparent’ surge in support in the New Hampshire Republican primary, Nikki Haley found little enthusiasm among AmericaFest goers. The former South Carolina Governor only received 1.1-percent in the straw poll, losing out to conference goers who said they were still undecided at 2.5-percent. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie came in dead-last with less than 0.1-percent, losing out to even the “Someone else” option with 0.3-percent.
While some might find the idea of Trump leading the Republican presidential primary field with 83-percent support outlandish, the AmericaFest Straw Poll isn’t all-that-far-off national Republican presidential primary polling which has shown Trump receiving between 60 and 70-percent of the GOP electorate. Even state specific polls show the former Republican President’s lead to be nearly insurmountable – a recent Iowa Caucus poll put Trump at nearly 60-percent support among Republican caucus goers.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Ramaswamy were the two most popular candidates to serve as Trump’s vice-president. Carlson saw 35-percent support among conference goers compared to Ramaswamy’s 25.7-percent. No other candidates polled in the double-digits.

Behind-the-scenes political intrigue exclusively for Pulse+ subscribers.
It’s unsurprising that Trump would win the straw poll by this much at an event like AmericaFest (great to see so many National Pulse members there, by the way!)
