Migrant Politician Uses Baby Jesus and Virgin Mary as Target Practice.

Sanija Ameti, a now-former city councilor, has resigned after publishing a video of herself shooting a print of the Virgin Mary and infant Jesus on Instagram. Ameti, who had been a leader of the Green Liberal Party (GLP) in Zurich, Switzerland, is an immigrant from a Bosnian Muslim family, and claimed she did not realize the Christian image had religious significance.

Few people believe the Bosnian did not know what she was shooting at, and the GLP has expelled her in response to public outrage. She has also lost her job at a public relations consultancy. However, she seemingly remains co-president of Operation Libero, an anti-populist activist organization whose current focus is on subsuming Switzerland into the European Union (EU).

Christian symbols and statuary are increasingly being targeted by radical Muslims, migrants, and the far-left in multicultural Western Europe. For instance, a statue of Mother Mary at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Wembley, London, was destroyed in August amid anti-immigration demonstrations and Muslim and far-left counter-demonstrations.

Later the same month, the 800-year-old Heggen church in Vikersund, Norway, was defaced with graffiti stating “kill whites.”

Such incidents are most prevalent in France, with 2021 estimates suggesting one mosque was being opened and one Christian building or monument destroyed every two weeks.

Church Arson Suspect was at Large Despite Previously Targeting 5 Churches.

A 19th-century church was partially destroyed in an arson attack on Sunday. Police say the main suspect in the case has not only been convicted of church burnings in the past, but was only just released from prison.

The 39-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after a fire consumed the Roman Catholic Immaculate Conception church in Saint-Omer, in the Pas-de-Calais region of France. It was revealed Tuesday, September 3, that he had been convicted of prior church attacks, attempting to set fire to at least five different churches.

The suspect had been in prison since 2021 but was recently released. While police say he has a history of attacking churches, the information they have released on him, beyond his sex and age, is limited, and they have not explained his motivation.

Social media reports have offered a name for the suspect and alleged he posted about Islam and Palestinian statehood, but such claims remain unverified as of the time of publication.

MANY INCIDENTS.

Over the last several years, attacks on French churches and other Christian sites have become so frequent that members of the Roman Catholic clergy and nonprofits are sounding alarm bells.

Several attacks on French churches have seen people killed, including the 2020 Nice attacks, which saw a jihadist migrant from Tunisia stab three churchgoers to death, and the killing of Father Jacques Hamel in 2016, also by Islamic extremists.

A Catholic group called the Observatory for Christianophobia has documented over a thousand cases of anti-Christian attacks since 2017, from thefts to desecrations and other incidents.

Christians Arrested in Paris Over Bus Protesting Blasphemous Olympic ‘Last Supper’ Parody.

Six members of the French group CitizenGo were arrested by Paris police this week for through the city in a bus calling for a halt to attacks on Christians, highlighting the mockery of the Last Supper at the opening ceremony of the ongoing Summer Olympics.

On August 6, CitizenGo posted on X saying that their activists had to spend a night in jail simply for driving the bus around Paris:

According to their lawyer, French prosecutors argued they did not have permission for a protest. However, simply driving a vehicle with a slogan on it does not qualify as an organized protest, and the lawyer says the prosecutor “pushed the law to its limits to stop the bus and limit their free speech.”

CitizenGo says the entire incident was “anti-Christian political and ideological persecution.”

Reports claim that three of those arrested were female, and police forced them to undress. The pretext for the humiliating search was that they may have been concealing drugs. They were also placed into custody without any food or water. Upon release, the Christians and their bus were escorted out of Paris.

The mockery of the Last Supper at the Olympic opening ceremony featured transgenders and drag queens in the place of Jesus Christ and his Apostles, prompting widespread controversy and condemnation across the globe.

Former President Donald J. Trump called the opening ceremony “a disgrace.” Olympic organizers issued a quasi-apology for offending people, but American Roman Catholic Bishop Robert Barron rejected its formulation as “woke duplicity.”

WATCH: Trump Slams Olympic Opening Ceremony as a ‘Disgrace.’

Former President Donald J. Trump says the Paris Olympics opening ceremony was a “disgrace,” referencing segments that appeared to mock Christianity openly. At one point in the proceedings, an obese drag queen wearing a halo-like headdress and other crossdressers appeared to recreate The Last Supper, in which Jesus Christ and his disciples shared a final meal before being arrested and crucified.

“I thought the opening was a disgrace, actually. I thought it was a disgrace,” Trump told Laura Ingraham. He suggested that, if reelected, his influence over the Olympics’ organizers will be such that “We won’t be having a Last Supper as portrayed as the way they portrayed it.”

“Look, I’m for everybody; I’m very open-minded,” he said. “But I thought what they did was a disgrace.”

The ceremony’s organizers have issued an “apology” for The Last Supper scene, claiming unconvincingly that their drag queens were actually recreating a debauched wedding between pagan deities, as depicted in the Dutch painting The Feast of the Gods.

However, Christian leaders such as America’s Bishop Robert Barron have rejected this explanation as “woke duplicity,” noting the wording of the apology amounted to saying, “If you’re so simple-minded and stupid to have been offended by this wonderful expression of French culture, well, we’re sorry about that.”

“Christians are offended because it was offensive, and it was intended to be offensive, so please don’t patronize us with this condescending remark about ‘Well, if you had any bad feelings, we’re awfully sorry about that,'” he said.

Elsewhere in his interview with Ingraham, Trump mentioned the trauma his wife, Melania, experienced following the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania. He said she was watching his rally live when Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on him, which has had a significant impact on her.

Paris Olympics Organizers Apologize for Anti-Christian ‘Last Supper’ Act.

The organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympics have issued an apology for a segment during Friday’s opening ceremony featuring DJ and producer Barbara Butch, a noted LGBT activist, and a number of drag queens and dancers appearing to mock the Last Supper of Jesus Christ and his disciples.

Thomas Jolly, the director of the ceremony, claimed in an interview with French media that the scene was based on The Feast of the Gods, a painting by Dutch artist Jan Harmensz van Biljert depicting pagan gods celebrating a divine marriage, with Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, at the center of the table, rather than The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.

The performance drew criticism from multiple Christian leaders and conservatives worldwide, and many remain unconvinced by Jolly’s explanation.

The French Catholic Church’s conference of bishops labeled the scene as derisive of Christianity. American Roman Catholic Bishop Robert Barron also condemned the scene and rejected the apology as “woke duplicity” and “anything but an apology.”

After the ceremony, Mississippi-based telecommunications company C Spire pulled its advertising from the Olympics. A spokesman for the wireless provider said they were “shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper.”

Shortly after the opening ceremony, Paris saw a massive power outage. This followed the disruption of the railway network and air travel due to sabotage and bomb threats.

Ironically, the only building in the entire city that remained lit was the Catholic Sacré-Cœur Basilica.

Olympic Opening Ceremony Sees Mock Last Supper Featuring Drag Queens.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris is facing a barrage for featuring a group of drag queens and transgender individuals appearing to recreate Leonardo Di Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. While the exact intention of the display is unknown, users on X (formerly Twitter) took the performance as being intended to mock Christians. The Scottish Catholic group Sancta Familia Media labeled the performance blasphemy.

Another part of the opening ceremony revealed a beheaded woman in the likeness of Marie Antoinette, who was killed by violent radicals during the French Revolution in 1793, along with her husband, King Louis XVI.

The drag queen Last Supper comes after France removed Christian crosses from art promoting the Olympics this past March. The artwork, which depicts the Paris skyline, erased the cross atop the Dôme des Invalides, where Napoleon Bonaparte is entombed.

Responding to the controversial opening ceremony, Marion Maréchal-Le Pen posted on X: “To all the Christians of the world who are watching the #Paris2024 ceremony and felt insulted by this drag queen parody of the Last Supper, know that it is not France that is speaking but a left-wing minority ready for any provocation.”

A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.

Anti-Christian sentiment and attacks on churches, cemeteries, and other locations have been a major issue in France for years. Several major churches and cathedrals have been vandalized or even set on fire, as was the case with the Cathedral of Nantes in 2020, in which a Rwandan migrant was arrested for the blaze. The same Rwandan man murdered a priest in the city just a year later.

Catholics in France, while a majority, have also been targeted repeatedly by Islamic extremists, including the brutal murder of Catholic priest Father Jacques Hamel on July 26, 2016, the same day as the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Far-left extremists have also repeatedly caused violence against French Catholics. In 2021, a group of Antifa militants attacked a Roman Catholic procession in Paris that marked the 150th anniversary of those martyred during the 1871 Paris commune. Several elderly people and children were attacked.

4 Canadian Churches Burned Before Christmas.

Four churches were torched in Alberta, Canada in recent weeks, with the latest immolation occurring just days before Christmas. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are investigating the arson attacks.

The fires began in Barrhead, where St. Mary Abbots Anglican church and St. Aidan’s Church, both historic mainstays of the community, were destroyed on December 7th.

The spree continued with the burning of St. Gabriel Catholic Mission in Janvier on December 15th. This was followed by the suspected arson of a Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Beiseker on December 20th.

“My thoughts are with the Seventh Day Adventist community in Beiseker, AB mourning the loss of their church at the hands of an arsonist,” commented Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre. “This is the 4th church in 2 weeks to be targeted by acts of violent anti-Christian hatred.”

Canada saw a spate of church burnings in 2021. These were sparked by claims “mass graves” of Native American children had been discovered at former residential schools. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared to give some tacit endorsement to the arson attacks.

“I understand the anger that’s out there against the federal government, against institutions like the Catholic church; it is real and it is fully understandable given the shameful history,” he said.

As of August of 2023, however, no human remains had been found at any of the supposed “mass graves”.
