WATCH: Trump Can Make Broadcast Media GREAT Again.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief, Raheem Kassam, sat down with Daniel Suhr, president of the Center for American Rights, regarding the latter’s “Lift the Cap” campaign—an effort to push the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to dramatically alter limits to ownership in local broadcast media

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam, Daniel Suhr, the FCC, ABC, NBC, CBS, Nexstar, and Sinclair.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The interview occurred on Boxing Day, December 26, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “So many of us rely on local television for things that we care about, local news, local sports—even if we maybe use a streaming service for our national news. The reality is that more Americans tune in to the evening news at 5 or 6 o’clock on their local TV. news than any watch a big cable show like The Five.” — Daniel Suhr

🎯IMPACT: Suhr hopes to see major local broadcasters like Nexstar and Sinclair be able to expand and gain the necessary leverage to not only be able to push back but also influence the parent broadcasters, like NBC, CBS, and ABC.

IN FULL

The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief, Raheem Kassam, sat down with Daniel Suhr, president of the Center for American Rights, regarding the latter’s “Lift the Cap” campaign—an effort to push the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to dramatically alter limits to ownership in local broadcast media. Speaking during the annual War Room: Boxing Day Special, Kassam and Suhr examined the implications of the FCC lifting the ownership restrictions, particularly given that television viewers still receive most of their news from local broadcasters.

“So many of us rely on local television for things that we care about, local news, local sports—even if we maybe use a streaming service for our national news. The reality is that more Americans tune in to the evening news at 5 or 6 o’clock on their local TV news than any watch a big cable show like The Five,” Suhr said.

His nonprofit group, the Center for American Rights, is advocating for the FCC to reform its 39 percent ownership cap, which prevents a local broadcast company from reaching more than 39 percent of U.S. households. He also points out that today’s media landscape is vastly different from it was when the cap was instituted, especially with the rise of the streaming giants like Google and YouTube.

Suhr contends lifting the ownership cap would “open up a free market,” and that his group’s campaign seeks to “open up greater room for capitalism to stop these government interventions in the market, and instead allow broadcasters to grow in a natural way, in line with what capitalism dictates.” He goes on to note that the campaign has received backing from several notable figures, including Mike Davis of the Article Three Project and free market economist Stephen Moore.

At its core, Suhr hopes to see major local broadcasters, such as Nexstar and Sinclair, expand and gain the necessary leverage to not only push back but also influence the parent broadcasters, including NBC, CBS, and ABC.

While, on the face of it, the push to abolish ownership caps for local broadcasters may seem like an ideal policy for a conservative media environment, some claim that if the cap is lifted, safeguards must be put in place to prevent a repeat of the post-Citizens United era in politics, where large corporations can dominate.

The Ford Foundation Is Pouring $20 Million a Month Into Far-Left Activism.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Ford Foundation has been funneling millions of dollars into leftist advocacy groups, including those promoting the abolition of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Concerningly, taxpayer-funded grants have been used to support some of the same initiatives.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Ford Foundation, Make the Road New York (MRNY), CASA, Arabella Advisors, and various leftist nonprofits receiving grants.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Since January 2024, with activities and funding spanning the U.S. and international regions, including Africa and South America.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Media Matters for America, approved for a $250,000 Ford grant in November 2024, was founded by Clinton Family attack lapdog David Brock. As that history would indicate, Media Matters is the epitome of a rabidly partisan, anti-Republican media platform. The only reason to give them money is to advance the political and policy messaging of Democratic presidents and congressional leadership.” – Capital Research Center

🎯IMPACT: The Ford Foundation’s funding has empowered far-left activists internationally.

IN FULL

The Ford Foundation, one of America’s largest and wealthiest philanthropic institutions, is under scrutiny for funneling tens of millions of dollars into far-left advocacy groups pushing radical agendas, often with taxpayer money backing the same causes.

For instance, since January 2024, two left-wing NGOs, Make the Road New York (MRNY) and CASA, have received $1.1 million from the Ford Foundation. Both groups have called for the abolition of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The former Biden regime approved over $7 million in federal grants to these same groups, raising questions about whether taxpayers are unknowingly helping bankroll extremist political activism.

This funding pipeline came under fire during a June 4, 2024, hearing before the House Committee on Government Oversight. Scott Walter, president of the Capital Research Center, testified on what he described as “blatantly partisan funding” that crosses the line between charitable work and political campaigning.

Examples include $3.4 million awarded to the Center for American Progress, a prominent left-wing think tank, and $1.25 million given to Hammer & Hope, a journal that openly embraces communist ideology. Hammer & Hope has also been aided by the New Venture Fund, part of the left-wing dark money nexus around Arabella Advisors.

New Venture is one of seven donor NGOs managed by Arabella Advisors, a network that annually rakes in more than $1 billion from

The Foundation’s political agenda extends to energy policy as well. Since 2024, Ford has poured nearly $6 million into nine organizations that oppose nuclear power. Internationally, Ford is pushing a “just energy transition” in Africa and South America, spending millions on unreliable alternatives in regions already plagued by severe energy poverty.

At home, Ford’s “Civic Engagement and Government” program is helping fund left-wing voter turnout operations, including NEO Philanthropy’s State Infrastructure Fund and the Tides Center. Even media outlets like George Soros-linked Media Matters for America and 19th News are receiving Ford dollars to amplify progressive talking points under the guise of journalism.

“Media Matters for America, approved for a $250,000 Ford grant in November 2024, was founded by Clinton Family attack lapdog David Brock. As that history would indicate, Media Matters is the epitome of a rabidly partisan, anti-Republican media platform. The only reason to give them money is to advance the political and policy messaging of Democratic presidents and congressional leadership,” the Capital Research Center noted.

This is not a new direction for the Ford Foundation. Since the 1960s, the Foundation has veered sharply left, backing causes ranging from racial separatism and radical education reform to early pro-abortion advocacy.

Critics argue that by exploiting its tax-exempt status, the Ford Foundation is operating more like a political machine than a nonprofit, one with global reach, deep pockets, and little accountability.

REVEALED: Dem ‘Dark Money’ Group Funds Leftist Influencers With Up to $8K Monthly.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A secretive dark money group linked to the Democratic Party is reportedly paying influencers up to $8,000 per month to spread left-leaning talking points through the “Chorus Creator Incubator Program.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Influencers such as Olivia Julianna, Loren Piretra, Barrett Adair, David Pakman, and Leigh McGowan, among others, are tied to the program, which is reportedly funded by the Sixteen Thirty Fund—a project of Arabella Advisors.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The program is ongoing, with activities spanning various social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It avoids a lot of the public disclosure… that you see on political ads.” – Graham Wilson, Chorus attorney, during a Zoom call with influencers.

🎯IMPACT: Critics argue the program lacks transparency and could undermine democratic accountability, while also serving as a legally dubious conduit for foreign-sourced campaign money.

IN FULL

A number of prominent Democratic Party social media influencers have been outed as recipients of political dark money funneled through the Chorus Creator Incubator, a campaign program run by the 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization Chorus. A series of leaked text messages and video calls has revealed that Chorus and its pro-Democratic Party influencer operation are backed by the Sixteen Thirty Fund, itself a project of the shadowy progressive political consulting firm Arabella Advisors.

According to the leaks, the Chorus Creator Incubator pays influencers up to $8,000 a month to promote left-leaning narratives. The program involves over 90 influencers, including prominent names like Olivia Julianna, Loren Piretra, Barrett Adair, and David Pakman.

The program is cloaked in secrecy, with contracts barring participants from disclosing their involvement or the identity of the funders. Breaches could lead to expulsion and loss of income. Graham Wilson, a lawyer for Chorus, explained to influencers in a Zoom video call that the arrangement avoids public disclosure requirements typically associated with political ads.

“It avoids a lot of the public disclosure… that you see on political ads,” Wilson said, adding: “Your names aren’t showing up on reports filed with the FEC.”

Critics, including ethics experts, have raised concerns over the lack of transparency. Elizabeth Dubois, a professor whose research focuses on the evolution of digital politics, stated, “For democracy to thrive, we need transparency around who is paying for political messages.” Don Heider from Santa Clara University’s Markkula Center for Applied Ethics added, “If the contract says you can’t disclose it, then it’s pretty simple—you can’t take the money.”

Despite these concerns, some creators defended the program. Loren Piretra stated, “The fund supports content creation sustainability while maintaining zero ownership, editorial control, or messaging input.” However, others, like TikTok star V Spehar, criticized Chorus for using their image in fundraising decks without permission.

The Sixteen Thirty Fund is a major player in Democratic funding, having poured hundreds of millions into left-wing political causes in recent election cycles.

The National Pulse reported in May that Hansjorg Wyss—an 89-year-old Swiss billionaire who has contributed an estimated $162 million to Arabella’s key left-wing dark money operations, Sixteen Thirty Fund and New Venture Fund—is the subject of a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a 30-year-old employee at one of his California wineries. Notably, Wyss’s political contributions to far-left advocacy groups and Democratic Party-aligned nonprofits have been the subject of controversy as he lacks both U.S. citizenship and permanent residency.

Foreign Democrat Mega Donor Hit With Sexual Harassment Lawsuit.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: Swiss billionaire and Democratic Party dark money mega donor Hansjorg Wyss has been hit with a sexual harassment lawsuit, alleging the 89-year-old subjected a 30-year-old employee to repeated sexual propositions, groping, and sexual exposure.

👥 Who’s Involved: Hansjorg Wyss, Madison Busby, and a network of dark money groups that advocate for progressive political policies and back Democratic Party candidates for office.

📍 Where & When: The lawsuit was filed on April 25, 2025, in the San Luis Obispo County, California Superior Court. Details emerged publicly on May 14, 2025.

💬 Key Quote: “Mr. Wyss told Ms. Busby how much he enjoyed having a threesome, even with another man,” the lawsuit alleges, adding: “He even suggested a ‘foursome’ and stated it would be ‘fun’ for the three of them and another woman by the name of ‘Lori.’”

⚠️ Impact: The lawsuit could sideline one of the Democratic Party’s most significant and influential dark money donors ahead of the 2026 congressional midterm elections.

IN FULL:

Hansjorg Wyss, an 89-year-old Swiss billionaire and Democratic Party mega donor, is the subject of a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a 30-year-old employee at one of his California wineries. In the legal filing, Madison Busby—an employee at Halter Ranch Winery—alleges Wyss subjected her to repeated sexual propositions, groped her, and exposed himself to her. Wyss’s political contributions to far-left advocacy groups and Democratic Party-aligned nonprofits have been the subject of controversy as he lacks both U.S. citizenship and permanent residency.

“Madison has suffered severe emotional distress from the harassment which took place over the course of many years, and also from lost wages and then future damages. She’s been harmed immensely,” Busby’s attorney, John Ly, said after the lawsuit‘s filing. Busby claims that after she rejected Wyss’s advances, the Swiss billionaire engaged in retaliation against her.

While not as publicly well-known as far-left Democrat donors like George Soros and Reid Hoffman, Wyss has quietly become one of the party’s most influential financiers over the last decade. Notably, Wyss is a major backer of the progressive political consulting firm Arabella Advisors‘s dark money network. In recent years, the Swiss billionaire contributed an estimated $162 million to Arabella’s key left-wing political money operations, Sixteen Thirty Fund and New Venture Fund.

Using a network of nonprofits and foundations that help conceal his political giving, Wyss has funnelled over $200 million in total to Democrat Party-aligned nonprofit advocacy groups, including the Center for American Progress, NewsGuard, and Priorities USA.

Notably, United States election laws bar noncitizens from contributing to federal candidates for office and political action committees (PACs). However, Wyss—a Swiss national who lacks American citizenship or permanent residency—circumvents these restrictions by contributing to outside political advocacy organizations that use donor money to help influence elections in favor of Democratic Party candidates.

According to the lawsuit, Wyss aggressively pursued the potential of group sex with Busby. “Mr. Wyss told Ms. Busby how much he enjoyed having a threesome, even with another man,” the filing states, adding: “He even suggested a ‘foursome’ and stated it would be ‘fun’ for the three of them and another woman by the name of ‘Lori.’” The lawsuit notes that in 2022, Wyss admitted to Busby that “if you ever went after me for sexual harassment, you would win.”

DDT Network Emerges as Hub for Never Trump Operatives.

PULSE POINTS:

What Happened: Defending Democracy Together (DDT), a Never Trump advocacy group, has expanded into a network of left-leaning political action committees (PACs), policy nonprofits, and media properties, raising at least $151 million since 2018.

👥 Who’s Involved: Former Republicans Bill Kristol and Sarah Longwell, who lead the DDT Network.

📍 Where & When: Washington, D.C.; network activities and fundraising have been ongoing since 2018.

💬 Key Quote: The New York Times described Kristol as “someone who has probably picked over as many greenroom fruit plates as anyone in Washington.”

⚠️ Impact: The DDT Network resembles a political party infrastructure and has directed significant funds towards opposing President Donald J. Trump and supporting Democratic causes.

IN FULL:

Defending Democracy Together (DDT), a Never Trump advocacy group spearheaded by former Republicans Bill Kristol and Sarah Longwell, has evolved into a substantial network comprising left-leaning political action committees (PACs), policy nonprofits, and media entities. Since its inception in 2018, the network has successfully raised over $151 million, with its financial momentum showing no signs of slowing down. A recent report from the Capital Research Center (CRC) has revealed the Never Trump organization’s vast network of far-left funders and affiliations with a web of anti-Trump political groups.

Kristol, a veteran of Washington politics and staunch neoconservative, serves as the principal officer, while Longwell is the executive director of both Defending Democracy Together and the Defending Democracy Together Institute (DDTI). The duo also oversees the Republican Accountability PAC, a political action committee (PAC).

In 2020, the network’s efforts to defeat President Donald J. Trump were bolstered by a $10,050,000 grant from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, part of the far-left Arabella Advisors dark money network. The network’s financial transparency remains limited, with a significant portion of its backing sourced from anonymous contributions.

Prominent donors to the DDT Network include Democracy Fund Voice, backed by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, and American Future Republic, connected to LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman. These contributions have enabled the network to direct substantial resources towards opposing Trump and supporting Democratic candidates, with Hoffman contributing $9.5 million directly to the Republican Accountability PAC. Other significant donors to the PAC include Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, who has given $6.9 million; John Pritzker, a San Francisco real estate mogul and member of the Pritzker family, who has contributed $3 million; and the leftist daughter-in-law of Rupert Murdoch, Kathryn Murdoch, who gave $2 million.

The DDT Network has also funneled funds into media ventures such as The Bulwark, a Never Trump website, and The Liberal Patriot, a platform that critiques the Democratic Party’s focus on “woke” culture and climate issues. Additionally, the network supports groups like George Conway‘s Society for the Rule of Law (SFL) and the Never Trump group Principles First.

Sarah Longwell’s consulting firm, Longwell Partners, has received over $21 million as a contractor for the DDT Network, suggesting the network also serves as a significant income conduit for its leaders.

Even the Washington Post is Debunking Democrat Lies on Social Security, And Look Who’s Behind Them…

Senator Bob Casey Jr. (D-PA) is falsely claiming his Republican opponent, David McCormick, plans to pay for tax cuts for the super wealthy by reducing social security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits—with the campaign citing a far-left Democrat dark money group as its source. The claim is made in an ad recently aired by Casey’s senatorial re-election campaign and has been roundly debunked by even Democrat-aligned corporate news outlets like The Washington Post.

“McCormick’s promised the richest people in America a massive tax break,” Sen. Casey says in the television ad spot. “To pay for it, he’s made clear he’ll slash your Medicare and Social Security and cut Medicaid for nursing home care.”

The Post slams Sen. Casey’s claim, stating: “It’s a bold move for a campaign to have the candidate practically put words in the mouth of his opponent. Usually, when a candidate speaks in an ad, the claims he or she makes are factually grounded… He earns Four Pinocchios.”

DARK MONEY.

Casey’s campaign sources its claim against McCormick in a March 2023 report issued by Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF). A relatively new political nonprofit organization, ATF has deep ties to the New Venture Fund. Additionally, the ATF affiliate—Americans for Tax Fairness Action—is funded through the New Venture subsidiary, the Sixteen Thirty Fund.

Both the New Venture and Sixteen Thirty funds are tied to a progressive consulting firm called Arabella Advisors. Meanwhile, the latter sits at the center of numerous nonprofits that act as clearing houses for billions in Democratic donor dark money, filtering the political cash to various left-wing organizations.

The National Pulse previously reported that Arabella had directed at least $10 million to pro-Hamas demonstration organizers across the U.S.

Soros And Dem ‘Dark Money’ Groups Are Advising Election Officials and Bankrolling Poll Workers.

Democrat-aligned ‘dark money‘ groups are increasing their efforts to interfere in the 2024 presidential election as former President Donald J. Trump pulls further ahead of Joe Biden. Some of these ‘dark money’ organizations have received millions from left-wing billionaire and globalist George Soros.

The group Power the Polls has unveiled a new advisory council dedicated to training and fielding an army of pro-Democrat poll watchers ahead of the November presidential election. Power the Polls, founded in 2020, received its seed money from the Open Society Foundations — the primary vehicle for George Soros to distribute his vast wealth into U.S. political operations.

Power the Polls’ advisory council lacks bipartisan representation and is spearheaded by two prominent anti-Trump activists, actress Kerry Washington and former Congressman Adam Kinzinger. The group has even secured a partnership with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R).

More concerningly, Power the Polls is tied to Work Elections, a project of the Fair Election Network. Convoluted layers of financial and political ties are often used by Democrat-aligneddark money‘ groups to hide their controlling organizations and funders. In this case, the Fair Election Network is a subsidiary of the New Venture Fund, a non-profit foundation controlled by Arabella Advisors.

The National Pulse has reported extensively on Arabella Advisors, a for-profit consulting firm with deep ties to national progressive Democrat leaders. Since the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, Arabella has built a vast network of non-profits and non-government organizations (NGOs) that act as clearing houses for vast sums of donor money for a myriad of left-wing causes. Arabella has funneled at least $10 million to pro-Hamas protestors and is currently involved in an effort to take over state and local media networks to push pro-Democrat propaganda.

Dem ‘Dark Money’ Is FLOODING State & Local Media.

A network of left-wing non-profits and foundations are moving to invest heavily in state and local journalism enterprises as Americans increasingly become distrustful of national, corporate media outlets like the New York Times, CNN, and The Washington Post. This network of Democrat-aligned organizations appears to intend to use state and local news outlets to further their campaign of censorship against Republican and conservative lawmakers and media figures.

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation pledged half a billion dollars over the next five years to bolster the political left‘s efforts to take over and control state, local, and independent journalism in the U.S. Additionally, the Democrat ‘dark money‘ group Arabella Advisors has gotten in on the game. Arabella, which The National Pulse previously reported had backed pro-Hamas protestors to the tune of $10 million, has set up the States Newsroom network, which feeds progressive and far-left stories through state and local affiliates.

DARK MONEY MEDIA.

Quasi-for-profit and non-profit networks like Arabella have thrived in the post-Citizens United campaign finance environment. In 2020, Democrats pulled in $455 million in dark money compared to $185 million for Republicans. Their States Newsroom operation has a footprint in 38 states, according to the Capital Research Center, and had a budget of $13.2 million in 2021.

Meanwhile, on the right, little focus has been put on building state and local media infrastructure. Scott Walker, president of the Capital Research Center, recently wrote that the budgets for non-profit media groups like the Franklin News Foundation and the for-profit Star News Digital Media pale in comparison with left-wing outlets backed by Arabella and its dark money operation.

The left’s non-profit journalism operation and its deep-pocket backers allow their outlets to push Democrat and progressive talking points as news with little concern about financial repercussions. Even more concerning, The National Pulse reported in February that left-wing billionaire George Soros is moving to buy the second-largest radio network in America — though the purchase is facing several legal challenges.

Leftist Dark Money Network Raised $1.3 Billion to Fund Progressive Activism in 2022.

The New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Windward Fund, Hopewell Fund, and North Fund managed by Arabella Advisors raised $1.3 billion in anonymous donations last year, according to new tax filings.

The Arabella network has emerged as a major left-wing dark money conduit in recent years, with each fund able to hide its donors while acting as a sponsor for other left-wing nonprofits, thus avoiding the submission of revealing tax documents to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

“The North Fund is an advocacy nonprofit collaborating with community leaders and organizers to engage Americans in their democracy and fighting for equality across the country,” said one of the funds when quizzed on its activity. “We accomplish this through our fiscal sponsorship model, which allowed us to support a broad range of impactful partners in 2022,” it added.

On several occasions the funds wired substantial sums of money to each other, making it even harder to trace their activities.

“In 2022 alone, these groups spent $1.4 billion to push our country toward more extreme causes and candidates,” commented Americans for Public Trust director Caitlin Sutherland.

“As the 2024 election cycle ramps up, the American people deserve to know just how much influence the foreign-backed Arabella network has on our local, state, and federal elections.”

The network has been used by foreign billionaires to influence American politics, and has links to a lawfare campaign to ban Donald Trump from running for the presidency in 2024.

Sen. Hawley Moves to Reverse Citizens United, End Democrat Dark Money Goliath.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) is pushing legislation that would reverse the Supreme Court case Citizens United v. FEC. “My goal is to get corporate money out of our politics,” the Missouri Republican said in an interview. Hawley says the unchecked corporate influence over politics and elections as a detriment to both American workers and democracy.

His legislation would return some aspects of campaign finance law to a quasi pre-Citizens United state. Publicly traded companies would be barred from engaging in political activities like making independent expenditures and contributing to SuperPACs. Non-profit organizations would not be impacted.

The wild west of campaign finance law created by the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in 2010 has allowed corporations to inject themselves into into more than just electoral politics. It is this aspect of political spending that has especially animated Hawley’s push to rein the decision in, with the Senator asserting that corporate political giving has moved beyond just backing candidates, and into backing pet liberal issues. Corporations “now want to dictate voting laws in the states” and “…dictate rules on biological men playing women’s sports,” he said.

Hawley’s biggest critique of Citizens United is that it has allowed a dangerous union of corporate and progressive money to coalesce into a Democrat dark money operation that dominates U.S. politics. Progressive groups like Arabella Advisors have been able to transform non-profits into clearing houses for individual and corporate cash and funneled that money into radical left-wing causes.

While Hawley’s legislation may garner support among political populists and some Senate Democrats, it is unlikely to receive enough support in either legislative body of Congress to reach President Joe Biden’s desk. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) tore into Sen. Hawley during a meeting of Senate Republicans on Tuesday. Corporate-backed McConnell warned colleagues that anyone who backed the effort to rollback Citizens United would receive blowback from the political right.
