Trump Files For Mistrial In NY.

Former President Donald Trump’s defense team filed a motion for mistrial in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s civil fraud prosecution against him. At the core of the filing is the ongoing concern Trump and his lawyers have over public perception and political bias – especially as it pertains to Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the case, and his law clerk Allison Greenfield.

“This appearance of bias threatens both Defendants’ rights and the integrity of the judiciary as an institution,” Trump’s attorneys argued in the filing, adding: “Greenfield’s unprecedented role in the trial and extensive, public partisan activities, would cause even a casual observer to question the court’s partiality. Thus, only the grant of a mistrial can salvage what is left of the rule of law.”

On multiple occasions Trump’s legal team has raised issue with Greenfield passing notes to Judge Engoron while the court was in session and exercising an unusual degree of authority in the court’s decision making process. Greenfield, Trump’s lawyers argue, is essentially “Co-Judging” the proceedings. Additionally, the political connections Greenfield has with prominent Democrat politicians has also been a point of contention.

New York’s Democrat Attorney General Letitia James alleges former President Trump instructed aides in the Trump Organization to produce false estimates for the value of his properties in an effort to inflate his collateral and secure more lucrative loans from financial institutions. Michael Cohen, a former lawyer for Trump, was considered a star witness for James’s prosecution and was expected to corroborate the allegations of financial fraud. However when Cohen took the stand and was asked if Trump had directed him to produce fraudulent financial numbers, he admitted, “Trump did not specifically say, ‘Michael, go inflate the numbers.'” Cohen went on to admit Trump had not asked him to commit financial fraud.

Elise Stefanik Files Judicial Complaint Against Judge Engoron for Anti-Trump Bias.

Representative Elise Stefanik, Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, has filed an official judicial complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron, the Democrat donor judge overseeing Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York. She accuses Engoron of “inappropriate bias and judicial intemperance in New York’s disgraceful lawsuit” against the former president and his business empire.

“This judge’s bizarre behavior has no place in our judicial system,” Rep. Stefanik wrote in her complaint to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, which she shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The Congresswoman highlighted incidents including Engoron’s statement in February 2022 that Trump was not being singled out by New York Attorney General Letitia James but is “just a bad guy,” and his recent courtroom tirades against the former president and his counsel, respectively, that “we are not here to listen to what you have to say” and “I am not here to hear what he has to say.”

Stefanik also questioned the judge’s donations to the Democrats, and the donations of his staff to the Democrats, alleging they broke judicial rules. She also said a gag order Engoron imposed on Trump to prevent commentary on his law clerk’s political bias is unlawful.

“To gag a defendant is un-American. It’s an illegal prior restraint on the defendant’s First Amendment rights, which even the progressive ACLU felt compelled to acknowledge,” Stefanik stressed.

Judge Engoron’s Wife Has Been Tweeting Anti-Trump Memes Throughout the Trial.

The wife of far-left New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron is reported to have used a semi-anonymous account on X (formerly Twitter) to post politically-charged attacks against former President Donald Trump. Dawn Marie Engoron, the judge’s third and current wife, has almost exclusively used her X account to attack the former Republican President throughout the New York civil fraud trial her husband is presiding over.

Some of Mrs. Engoron’s most over-the-top posts include depicting Trump sitting in prison while wearing an orange jumpsuit and an image conveying simply “FUCK TRUMP.” Since the revelation yesterday as to her ownership of the X account, most of the posts directly authored by Mrs. Engoron have been deleted.

Judge Engoron has repeatedly accused Trump of using charged-political rhetoric to undermine the legitimacy of his court – going so far as to issue a gag order barring Trump and his lawyers from publicly discussing his partisan court staff.

“In the current overheated climate, incendiary comments can and in some cases already has, led to serious physical harm and worse,” said Engoron at the time he issued the gag order over a month ago.

On Monday, Engoron was the source of an angry outburst in his own courtroom when he slammed his hand on a table and shouted at Trump attorney Alina Habba after becoming frustrated with the former President’s testimony.

The highly partisan nature of Mrs. Engoron’s social media posts adds further credence to assertions made by Trump’s lawyers that the whole New York civil fraud prosecution is politically motivated witch-hunt. New York Attorney General Letitia James made her promise to prosecute Trump a center-piece of of her 2022 re-election campaign. With a rumored eye on the New York governor’s mansion, James has personally overseen much of the prosecution while also turning up the partisan rhetoric surrounding it.

Trump’s Fortune Increases by Half a Billion as NY AG Whines Over Valuations.

Donald Trump’s net worth has increased by approximately $500 million since he left the White House, despite a Democrat attorney general and judge trying to undermine his business empire in New York.

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index – unlikely to be especially sympathetic to Trump, given his public humiliation of ‘Mini’ Michael Bloomberg – reports the former president’s fortune has risen from $2.6 billion to $3.1 billion.

“Trump’s businesses are proving resilient in the face of a gloomy real estate market,” Bloomberg concedes, noting the MAGA kingpin’s Mar-a-Lago Club is prospering and revenues from his golf course have “surged,” leaving him “sitting on more cash and less leverage than at any point in the past decade.”

In New York, Attorney General Letitia ‘Tish’ James is taking Trump and his business empire to court for civil fraud, claiming he overvalued his net worth. Judge Arthur Engoron, who has donated thousands of dollars to the Democrats, ruled Trump was liable before hearings even began, and had a red-faced courtroom meltdown when the former president testified in person yesterday and called out his bias.

Engoron’s valuation of Mar-a-Lago at less than $30 million has proven one of the most controversial aspects of the case, with Bloomberg not agreeing with Trump’s $612.1 million valuation but still going far beyond the New York valuation with an estimate of $240 million.

The outlet could offer little defense of the New York valuation, quoting a Palm Beach real estate expert who said it was “a shock to the real estate community and anybody with any understanding of the island and its values.”

NY Judge Engoron Praised Far Left Club Which Helped Illegal, Sham-Marriage Migrant Get Elected.

In 2015, the judge now overseeing the Trump case in New York – Arthur Engoron – was inducted into the State Supreme Court of New York. A former cab driver, Engoron was appointed to the New York City Civil Court in 2003 and ran unopposed for State Supreme Court.

The judge, whose temper flared with former President Trump on the stand on Monday, exclusively thanked far-left, New York Democrat clubs for his ascent during the 2015 induction. One of the groups he mentioned was the Barack Obama Democratic Club, an upper-Manhattan far-left group that supported the election of Gabriela Rosa in 2012. In 2014 it was revealed Rosa bought a sham marriage for U.S. citizenship for just $8,000. She took a plea deal and received just 366 days in prison.

Another organization Engoron thanked is the Sojourner Truth Democratic Club, named for an abolitionist who also became the inspiration for the Sojourner Truth Organization – a communist group which gained traction in the 1960s.

Here’s the full list of them:

  • Alice Wragg Kornegay Democratic Club
  • Ansonia Independent Democrats
  • Arturo Schomburg Democratic Club
  • Audubon Reform Democrats
  • Barack Obama Democratic Club
  • Broadway Democrats
  • Chelsea Reform Democratic Club

  • Sojourner Truth Democratic Club
  • Three Parks Independent Democrats
  • Tioga Carver Democratic Club
  • United Democratic Organization
  • Village Reform Democratic Club

Engoron’s staff are also closely linked with the far-left of New York City – a matter the judge imposed a gag order on Donald Trump for pointing out.

Trump Causes Far-Left NY Judge Engoron To Have Courtroom Meltdown.

Tempers flared today as former President Donald Trump testified today in the civil fraud prosecution against him by New York Attorney General Letitia James. Arthur Engoron – the far-left Manhattan Supreme Court Judge overseeing the trial – lost his temper at several points, slamming his hand on a court room table while yelling at Trump defense attorney Alina Habba.

For nearly five hours, the former President of the United States faced off under cross examination against prosecutors from the New York Attorney General’s Office. Letitia James herself sat in the front row observing the proceedings. Trump pushed back against the prosecutors, questioning why the case ever moved forward when not one of his lenders claimed financial injury or harm. “We’re trying to figure out, why are you doing this,” the former President pondered in response to questioning by state attorney Kevin Wallace. “No one understands it. Well, I understand it — it’s called pol-i-tics.”

At one point, Wallace pressed Trump as to whether he had actually paid off all of his loan agreements with lenders, asking: “We’ve seen multiple loan agreements, and your signature. You paid all these off?” Trump fired back, “Yes. With cash… I think this case is a disgrace. People are leaving New York due to this kind of thing. The only complainant is you.”

The prosecution’s examination veered far afield with Trump being questioned regarding the number of homes included in the valuation of his golf course property in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was unclear what legal interests or purview the New York Attorney General’s office has with loan agreements in the United Kingdom. When Trump defended the value of his Aberdeen property as it sits in the midst of one of the most oil rich regions of Europe, Judge Engoron declared that location is “irrelevant” to the value of property.

In the most heated moment of today’s testimony, Judge Engoron demanded Trump’s defense team step in and rein in the former President’s lengthy responses: “I beseech you to control him. If you can’t, I will. I will excuse him and draw every negative inference.”

Trump attorney Alina Habba suggested the prosecution should instead ask better questions. It was at this moment that Engoron lost his cool and slammed his hand down on a table and shouts at Habba, “SIT DOWN!” Before the prosecution could continue with questioning, Trump responded to the heated exchange saying, “This is a very unfair trial.”

TODAY: Trump Set to Testify in Person in New York Civil Fraud Trial.

Donald Trump will testify in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s civil fraud trial against him on Monday. In a case which has dragged since 2020, AG James alleges Trump and the Trump Organization, including sons Eric and Donald Jr., of fraudulently misrepresenting Trump’s wealth and property values to secure favorable loan and insurance terms.

Judge Arthur Engoron, who is accused of being politically motivated by the former president, has already decided Trump, his adult sons, and their organization, are liable for fraud. Trump says some of the Obama appointee’s determinations, including a valuation of his Mar-a-Lago estate at just $18 million, are outrageous, particularly as the asking price of a nearby patch of trees is some $150m.

Eric and Donald Trump Jr. testified last week. Ivanka Trump must testify on Wednesday, but claims against her have been dismissed under statute of limitations rules.

Trump was fined $10,000 on October 25th by Engoron for allegedly breaching a gag order, imposed after the former president noted the judge’s clerk has links to leading democrats including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Left Media Meltdown After Kassam Mocks NY Judge’s Sartorial Inelegance.

The leftist “news” website RawStory is apparently extremely upset that National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam took aim at Judge Arthur Engoron’s appearance this weekend, dedicating an entire “news” article to a humorous X post (tweet) that highlighted the troglodytic nature of former President Donald J. Trump’s clearly biased New York judge.

“Judge Arthur Engoron should be fined for his fashion sense. This is a serious sartorial crime. His tailor needs a gag order,” joked Kassam on Friday evening, leading RawStory to hysterically report: Trump allies attack judge in fraud case over his fashion: ‘His tailor needs a gag order'”.

The sensitivity of the far-left to attacks on Engoron proves how much they have invested their hopes of stopping Donald Trump in this partisan judge.

RawStory claims Kassam’s post “got the ball rolling” before others quickly began following suit in the comment section, which became full “with people criticizing Engoron for his clothes as well as his decisions in the court, and unrelated issues.”

Michael Cohen’s Testimony Against Trump Wasn’t The Slam Dunk The Media Thinks It Was.

Testimony given by Michael Cohen against his former boss Donald Trump this week does not appear to be the slam dunk the corporate media thinks it was. Cohen was expected to corroborate accusations made by NY Attorney General Letitia James, alleging former President Trump instructed aides in the Trump Organization to produce false estimates for the value of his properties. Once on the stand and under oath, however, Cohen proved unable to corroborate in any meaningful way.

Cohen actually admitted he had never been instructed by Trump to inflate the former President’s finances or the value of Mar-a-Lago in an effort to defraud lenders.

Trump attorney Clifford Roberts directly asked Cohen, “Trump didn’t ask you to inflate the numbers on his personal statement, correct?” To which Cohen responded, “Correct.” Trump’s lawyers moved for an immediate and direct verdict, however far-left Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron denied the motion.

New York prosecutors also asked Cohen if Trump had directed him to produce fraudulent financial numbers. He responded: “Trump did not specifically say, ‘Michael, go inflate the numbers.'” Once again, former President Trump’s legal team asked Judge Engoron for an immediate verdict and were denied. Engoron said he did not consider Cohen to be a ‘key’ witness for the prosecution, adding, “No way, no how is this case is being dismissed. There is enough evidence in this case to fill this courtroom.”

Aside from denying the motion for an immediate verdict, Judge Engoron has also slapped Trump with $15,000 in fines this week, for breaching a “gag order” aimed at stopping the public from realizing the judge’s staff are far-left Democrat activists.

Despite Cohen being unable to corroborate the charges leveled by Letitia James, and the far-left judge’s refusal to issue an immediate verdict, the corporate media has tried to spin the testimony as a win for the New York prosecution. MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin told former John McCain advisor-turned-liberal-talk-show-host Nicole Wallace:

“Trump’s lawyers were not well prepared for what happened today. They knew they wanted to paint Michael Cohen as a liar, and they succeeded in that to some extent, but in terms of dismantling the core of his testimony, which was about Trump’s intent and participation, they didn’t even do that very well.”

It is unclear how Cohen admitting he was never asked by Trump to fraudulently alter financial information is any sort of win for New York’s Attorney General and her politically motivated prosecution of former President Trump.

Creep Judge Engoron Demands ‘I Want to See Ivanka In Person.’

Ivanka Trump, daughter of former President Donald Trump, has been ordered by a New York judge to testify in person at her father’s civil fraud trial. Judge Arthur Engoron creepily stated from the bench, “I want to see her in person.” Ivanka’s attorney Bennet Moskowitz sought to dismiss the subpoena, arguing that her required physical presence in court “falls on its face” given that she has neither worked nor lived in New York since 2017. However, State Attorney Kevin Wallace countered, stating that her role in the Trump Organization and her possession of property in the state make the subpoena legitimate.

The former President is currently on trial following a conviction of fraud in relation to his business activities in New York City. Both of his older sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, were also held liable in the fraud case. New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking a $250,000 million fine and an injunction prohibiting Trump and his sons from conducting business in the state, a penalty that could effectively dissolve the Trump Organization.

Amid the ongoing civil trial, Donald Trump was also fined for violating a gag order imposed by Judge Engoron. The judge has been a repeated target of the former President on his social media platforms.
