FBI Targets Chat Group Connected to Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Assassin.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel confirmed an investigation into over 20 people linked to an online chat group allegedly connected to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Kash Patel, alleged assassin Tyler Robinson, Robinson’s transgender lover Lance Twiggs, and Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The assassination occurred on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University. Patel testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 16, 2025.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “It’s important that this FBI is as transparent as possible without jeopardizing investigations.” – Kash Patel

🎯IMPACT: The revelation suggests the FBI is broadening its investigation and raises the possibility that Kirk’s assassination involved more individuals than just Robinson.

IN FULL

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel confirmed during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday that the agency is investigating over 20 people connected to a Discord chat group allegedly involved in the planning of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody within 33 hours of the attack, having been turned in to the authorities by his father after being recognized from security camera footage Patel ordered released to the public.

The attack occurred on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was shot during an open forum debate. Patel defended his decision to provide real-time updates on the investigation, stating, “It’s important that this FBI is as transparent as possible without jeopardizing investigations.” He credited the FBI’s release of evidence for aiding in the identification of the suspect by his own family.

While authorities have stated that Robinson’s roommate and boyfriend, male-to-female transgender Lance Twiggs, is cooperating with authorities, the latter’s family members, speaking with the media, suggest ulterior motives. “[Twiggs] is very angry with anyone who is supportive of conservative ideals and Christian values,” a family member said in a recent interview. “As far as I know, he was not going by another name. I just know he was in the process of transitioning. I know he was trying to take different medications.”

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats, including Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), accused Patel of creating confusion with premature updates, claiming he was “anxious to take credit” for the investigation’s progress. However, Patel maintained that transparency was essential, adding, “I was telling the world what the FBI was doing as we were doing it.”

Patel acknowledged that his initial social media post about having a suspect in custody could have been “worded a little better,” but he stood by his approach, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in high-profile investigations. The FBI continues to investigate other groups linked to the plot.

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced charges against Tyler Robinson for the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, and Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Charges announced on September 16, 2025, in Utah.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “Charlie Kirk was murdered while engaging in one of our most sacred and cherished American rights,” said Jeff Gray.

🎯IMPACT: Robinson faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, with the state seeking the death penalty.

IN FULL

Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray has formally charged Tyler Robinson with the murder of Charlie Kirk. The charges include aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child. Gray also confirmed that Robinson was in a relationship with a male-to-female transgender named Lance Twiggs, and had been becoming increasingly left-leaning and focused on gay and trans rights, according to his relatives.

In messages between Robinson and his roommate lover, he explained he murdered Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two, because he had “had enough of his hatred,” adding: “Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

“Charlie Kirk was murdered while engaging in one of our most sacred and cherished American rights, the bedrock of our democratic republic, the free exchange of ideas and the search for truth, understanding, and a more perfect union,” Gray said.

He explained that the obstruction of justice charges stem from Robinson’s attempts to conceal evidence, while the witness tampering charges relate to Robinson allegedly instructing his roommate lover to delete texts and avoid communication with officials.

Gray has filed a notice of intent to pursue the death penalty in this case. Robinson remains in custody without bail.

🎯IMPACT: Zinn faces charges for obstruction of justice and sexual exploitation of a minor, while Robinson, the alleged assassin, faces various charges up to and including capital murder.

IN FULL

Police have revealed that George Zinn, the 71-year-old who falsely confessed to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University immediately after his shooting, has admitted he was attempting to create a distraction for the real gunman, believed to be Tyler Robinson, 22. Zinn has also been charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, after investigators found child pornography on his phone.

According to court documents, Zinn approached officers after the shooting and yelled, “I shot him, now shoot me.” He was taken into custody, where he continued to insist he was the shooter. However, investigators determined his confession was fabricated, and Zinn later acknowledged he wanted to be a “martyr.”

Once at the police station, Zinn requested a lawyer and admitted he expected to face consequences for his false statements. “I am already going to be in trouble for saying I shot him. Even if I did not,” he reportedly told officers.

Zinn has a history of disrupting political events and prior criminal charges. Past offenses include a 2013 bomb threat at the Salt Lake City marathon.

In addition to obstruction charges, the would-be “martyr” also faces child pornography charges, related to images of underage girls that investigators found on his phone. He reportedly confessed to being “sexually aroused” by children.

Robinson, alleged to be the real assassin, is set to make his first court appearance on Tuesday. He faces various charges up to and including capital murder, which carries the death penalty, potentially by firing squad.

WaPo Fires Columnist for Bluesky Posts About Charlie Kirk.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: The Washington Post has fired its founding Global Opinion editor and columnist, Karen Attiah, over a string of vile posts on far-left social media app Bluesky, following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last week.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Washington Post and Karen Attiah.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Attiah announced she had been fired on Monday, September 15, 2025.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: Attiah said that “part of what keeps America so violent is the insistence that people perform care, empty goodness and absolution for white men who espouse hatred and violence.”

🎯IMPACT: The firing is one of the more politically high-profile following Kirk’s assassination last week. A large number of leftists working in education, healthcare, state and local government, the U.S. military, and elsewhere have been fired for grotesque expressions of approval after Kirk’s murder.

IN FULL

The Washington Post has fired its founding Global Opinion editor and columnist, Karen Attiah, over a string of vile posts on the far-left social media app, Bluesky, following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last week. Attiah, who has been a routine source of controversy for the Jeff Bezos-owned newspaper, wrote, among other posts, that “part of what keeps America so violent is the insistence that people perform care, empty goodness and absolution for white men who espouse hatred and violence.”

She also attempted to justify her lack of empathy after Kirk‘s death by calling denouncements of violence just “empty rhetoric” and arguing Republicans instigate political violence. The now-former Washington Post columnist went on to write in a reply to another user that, “refusing to tear my clothes and smear ashes on my face in performative mourning for a white man that espoused violence is… not the same as violence.”

“Last week, the Washington Post fired me. The reason? Speaking out against political violence, racial double standards, and America’s apathy toward guns,” Attiah wrote on Monday on her Substack blog. “As a columnist, I used my voice to defend freedom and democracy, challenge power and reflect on culture and politics with honesty and conviction. Now, I am the one being silenced—for doing my job.”

Attiah went on to defend her social media posts, writing: “[T]he Post accused my measured Bluesky posts of being ‘unacceptable’, ‘gross misconduct’ and of endangering the physical safety of colleagues—charges without evidence, which I reject completely as false.”

This isn’t the first time that Attiah has stoked controversy for anti-Republican and anti-white opinions. The National Pulse reported in July 2024 that Attiah, an alumnus of Northwestern University, resigned as the co-chair of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention over its decision to invite President Donald J. Trump to speak. “I am so angry right now. N.A.B.J., this was a colossal mistake,” she said of the decision.

Kash Patel: Charlie Kirk Assassin Motivated by ‘Hatred for What Charlie Stood For.’

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has said Charlie Kirk’s assassin was motivated by “hatred of what Charlie stood for,” and defended the agency’s handling of the investigation.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Director Dan Bongino, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and alleged assassin Tyler Robinson.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The FBI investigation followed the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last Wednesday.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: Patel said the evidence shows Robinson “claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and he was going to do it, because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for.”

🎯IMPACT: The FBI captured Robinson within 33 hours, but there has been some criticism of the agency’s handling of the case.

IN FULL

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has revealed that Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, “claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and he was going to do it, because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for.” Patel also revealed that “[Robinson’s] family has collectively told investigators that he subscribed to left-wing ideology.”

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino also described the killing as “an ideologically motivated attack.” This follows Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) disclosing that Robinson had a transgender partner and was immersed in “leftist ideology.”

Patel also defended his agency’s handling of the investigation into the assassination of Kirk, stressing that the suspect was apprehended within 33 hours of the incident. The FBI and Patel had faced criticism after the assassin was able to escape the scene of Kirk’s murder at Utah Valley University, and for an announcement that a “subject” was in custody shortly after the assassination, only for them to be released in short order.

“Could I have worded it a little better in the heat of the moment? Sure, but do I regret putting it out? Absolutely not. I was telling the world what the FBI was doing as we were doing it, and I’m continuing to do that,” Patel said of the “subject” announcement in an interview on Monday.

Patel reportedly pushed for the public release of surveillance video of the assassin on the Utah Valley University campus, which led to Robinson’s father turning him in to law enforcement.

Utah Governor: Charlie Kirk’s Assassin Had Trans Partner, Was Steeped in ‘Leftist Ideology.’

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, had ties to a transgender partner and leftist ideology, according to Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R).

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, Spencer Cox, and Robinson’s transgender partner.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Kirk was killed on Wednesday during an American Comeback Tour event on the Utah Valley University campus. Details about Robinson were disclosed in interviews on Sunday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “There clearly was a leftist ideology with this—with this assassin.” – Spencer Cox

🎯IMPACT: Kirk’s assassination has intensified debates on the dangers of transgenderism, political violence, and far-left extremism.

IN FULL

Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) stated on Sunday that Tyler Robinson, accused of assassinating Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last week, was romantically involved with a transgender partner and held leftist ideological views. Cox shared these details during an interview on CNN’s State of the Union.

“Yes, I can confirm that,” Cox responded when questioned about Robinson’s relationship with a transgender. He added, “The roommate was a romantic partner, a male transitioning to a female. This partner has been incredibly cooperative, had no idea that this was happening, and is working with investigators right now.”

Cox further explained that Robinson, a 22-year-old expected to face charges on Tuesday, appeared to embrace leftist beliefs, according to statements from his family and friends. “There clearly was a leftist ideology with this—with this assassin,” Cox said. He cautioned that it remains uncertain whether the transition of Robinson’s partner was a motivating factor.

Turning Point USA has scheduled a memorial service for Kirk on September 21 in a football stadium near Phoenix, Arizona, with President Donald J. Trump confirming his attendance.

Secret Service Agent Suspended for Cheering Charlie Kirk’s Assassination.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: A Secret Service agent has reportedly been suspended after mocking the assassination of Charlie Kirk,

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Charlie Kirk, Agent Anthony Pough, and the U.S. Secret Service (USSS).

📍WHEN & WHERE: Plough made his comments on September 10; he was reportedly suspended on September 12.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “[I]f you are Mourning this guy .. [sic] delete me. He spewed hatred and racism on his show.” – Anthony Pough

🎯IMPACT: Pough is just one of many people losing their jobs as a result of glorifying the death of Kirk on social media.

IN FULL

A U.S. Secret Service (USSS) agent has been suspended and may soon be fired after mocking the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on September 10. Pough had blamed “karma” for Kirk’s murder saying, “[I]f you are Mourning this guy .. [sic] delete me. He spewed hatred and racism on his show.”

Pough added, “At the end of the day, you answer to GOD and speak things into existence. You can only circumvent karma, she doesn’t leave.”

He also had a history of opposing Trump administration initiatives, including the ban on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, saying, “DEI stops NEPOTISM.”

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination at Utah Valley University, several public figures have faced backlash for comments accused of mocking or minimizing his death. A video emerged showing Representative Ilhan Omar (D‑MN) and former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan laughing as they criticized Kirk’s past statements immediately following his killing.

Meanwhile, MSNBC terminated political analyst Matthew Dowd after he appeared to suggest that Kirk had, through his political style and rhetoric, invited “hateful action” against himself. Dowd later apologized, stating he never intended to imply Kirk was to blame for his murder.

The Pentagon has issued a “zero tolerance” directive for military personnel and Department of War civilians, warning that any celebration or mockery of Kirk’s assassination is strictly forbidden.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The assassination occurred on Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, with the State Department visa warning issued on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country,” said Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

🎯IMPACT: The U.S. State Department has directed consular officials to take appropriate action against foreigners praising or rationalizing the event.

IN FULL

The State Department has issued a strong statement to those seeking immigrant visas following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, warning that “foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome” in the United States.

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau addressed the matter in a Thursday post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “In light of yesterday’s horrific assassination of a leading political figure, I want to underscore that foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country.”

He further added, “I have been disgusted to see some on social media praising, rationalizing, or making light of the event, and have directed our consular officials to undertake appropriate action. Please feel free to bring such comments by foreigners to my attention so that the [State Department] can protect the American people.”

The politically-motivated assassination occurred on Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, where 22-year-old Tyler Robinson allegedly shot Kirk from approximately 200 yards away using a high-powered rifle. Kirk, 31, was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

President Donald J. Trump announced early Friday morning that Robinson had been taken into custody by law enforcement. The 22-year-old will be arraigned in a Utah court next Tuesday. He is set to face charges of aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury.

Stephen King Issues Tepid Apology for False Claim Charlie Kirk ‘Advocated Stoning Gays to Death.’

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Stephen King weakly apologized after falsely claiming that Charlie Kirk advocated stoning homosexuals to death.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Stephen King, Charlie Kirk, and commentators.

📍WHEN & WHERE: King’s false claim circulated on social media on Thursday following Kirk’s assassination at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, with King issuing an apology on Friday morning.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I apologize for saying Charlie Kirk advocated stoning gays. What he actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages.” – Stephen King

🎯IMPACT: The apology came after significant backlash, with evidence presented contradicting King’s claim.

IN FULL

Author and leftist social media commentator Stephen King was forced to apologize and delete a post on X (formerly Twitter) in which he falsely claimed that assassinated Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk had advocated killing homosexuals. “He advocated stoning gays to death. Just sayin,” King wrote in a post on Thursday, justifying Kirk’s assassination.

However, multiple X users responded to King’s post, noting Kirk never advocated for such a thing, and while the conservative organizer declared that he believed in biblical marriage between one man and one woman, he also welcomed members of the gay community into his conservative movement.

“Hey [Stephen King], you are more monstrous than any of the characters you ever came up with. Charlie was never anything but kind to me and my husband,” Dave Rubin, a prominent gay right-winger, wrote in response to King.

Others pointed to past statements by Kirk, including a November 2019 post on X: “I believe marriage is one man one woman. Also gay people should be welcome in the conservative movement. As Christians we are called to love everyone. I will always stand against people who wish to establish their own personal values as a reason to kick others out of the movement.”

Following the pushback, King, who infamously included a child orgy in a sewer in his novel It, deleted his post, writing, “I apologize for saying Charlie Kirk advocated stoning gays. What he actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages.”

The National Pulse reported last November that, following President Donald J. Trump’s landslide election victory, King had vowed to leave X. “I’m leaving Twitter. Tried to stay, but the atmosphere has just become too toxic,” King declared, adding: “Follow me on Threads, if you like.” King’s hiatus was brief, however, with the author returning to X on February 20, 2025.

Judge Forced to Cut Off Ryan Routh’s Bizarre Opening Statement in Trump Assassination Trial.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Ryan Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate Donald J. Trump during a golf outing in Florida last year, forfeited his right to continue his opening statement during his trial after veering off topic to discuss Adolf Hitler and global conflicts.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Ryan Routh, the defendant, is representing himself in the trial presided over by U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon. Secret Service agents, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents, and a civilian witness also testified.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The trial began on September 11, 2025, in Fort Pierce, Florida, following the alleged assassination attempt on September 15, 2024, at Trump’s West Palm Beach country club.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I gave you one more chance and you continued to read what has no relevance for this case,” said Judge Aileen Cannon to Routh during his opening statement.

🎯IMPACT: Routh has pleaded not guilty to charges including attempted assassination of a presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, and firearm violations. The proceedings are expected to continue for several weeks.

IN FULL

Ryan Routh, a 59-year-old defendant accused of attempting to assassinate President Donald J. Trump, forfeited his right to continue his opening statement during his trial in Fort Pierce, Florida, after veering bizarrely off topic. U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon warned Routh multiple times to stay relevant, ultimately stopping him after he discussed Adolf Hitler and conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.

“I gave you one more chance and you continued to read what has no relevance for this case,” Judge Cannon said, cutting off Routh’s remarks.

Prosecutors allege that Routh meticulously planned the attack, aiming a rifle at Trump as he played golf on September 15, 2024, at his West Palm Beach country club. A Secret Service agent spotted Routh before he could fire and shot at him, causing him to drop his weapon and flee. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Shipley described the plot as “carefully crafted and deadly serious.”

During the initial stage of the trial on Thursday, five witnesses testified, including two Secret Service agents, two Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents, and a civilian named Tommy McGee. McGee recounted following Routh after the incident to record his license plate, unaware that Trump was the intended target. Secret Service Agent Robert Fercano testified that he was just five feet away from Routh when he spotted the rifle aimed from the bushes.

Routh, who is representing himself, asked only a few questions during cross-examinations, often referring to himself in the third person. When he asked Agent Fercano if he had been harmed, the agent replied, “I wasn’t physically harmed, but I was mentally harmed from you pointing a gun at me.”

Routh has pleaded not guilty to charges including attempted assassination of a presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, and firearm violations. The proceedings are expected to continue for several weeks.
