Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, who survived an assassination attempt in May, has drawn comparisons between his experience and the recent attack on former President Donald J. Trump. The Slovak populist believes the media and political left stoking hatred fueled both incidents.
Fico criticized Slovak media outlets, referring to them as “adversary media,” “anti-Slovak press,” and “[George] Soros’s herd of pigs,” for inspiring his shooting.
“If Donald Trump’s attacker had spoken Slovak, after reading [Slovak newspapers], it would have been enough to incite him to ‘set things right’ with the former U.S. president,” Fico wrote.
Fico predicted Trump‘s enemies will now begin pushing a discourse “about the necessity of reconciliation, pacification, and forgiveness,” echoing the media rhetoric following his own assassination attempt.
Liberal media, celebrities, and others in the United States and the wider West have demonized President Trump for years.
BBC presenter David Aaronovitch recently called on President Joe Biden to “hurry up and have Trump murdered on the basis that he is a threat to America’s society” in a supposedly satirical post responding to a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity.
Many media publications have directly compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, including the New Republic, TheWashington Post, and Germany’s Stern magazine.
Nigel Farage has also blamed the media for feeding into hysteria regarding Trump, saying, “It’s so unpleasant, that I think it almost encourages this type of behavior.”

New data suggests a shocking number of Democrats have bought into the conspiracy theory that former President Donald J. Trump staged the July 13 assassination attempt against him. This conspiracy has been boosted by major left-wing media figures like MSNBC‘s Joy Reid.
According to the survey conducted by Morning Consult, one-third of Democrat respondents said they believe the assassination attempt was faked—despite incontrovertible evidence. BlueAnon, a play on the QAnon conspiracy theory from several years ago, has seen a concerning number of Democrats buy into conspiracies that Trump uses a body double, among other unfounded allegations.
While the QAnon conspiracy theorists were relatively few in number, it appears news networks like MSNBC have amplified BlueAnon conspiracies, leading to a large number of Democrats believing the assassination attempt was stated.
The National Pulse reported that MSNBC host Joy Reid has emerged as a leading figure encouraging the conspiracy theory. In a post video posted to social media, Reid claims to be ‘just asking questions’ as she posits that a bullet did not strike Trump and suggests that doctors and public officials are concealing the facts about his injuries.
Meanwhile, MSNBC was forced to pull its Monday episode of Morning Joe over concerns that hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski—along with their cavalcade of far-left guests—could engage in an unhinged reaction to the shooting. According to reports, the “decision was made to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole.”

Government whistleblowers have informed U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) that former President Donald J. Trump‘s security detail at his July 13 rally, where a would-be assassin made an attempt on his life, was mostly comprised of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel and not United States Secret Service (USSS). In the days following the attempted assassination, the USSS has attempted to blame local police for the lapse in security.
“[W]histleblower allegations suggest the majority of DHS officials were not, in fact, USSS agents but instead drawn from the department’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI),” the Missouri Senator wrote in a letter Friday to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Sen. Hawley continued: “This is especially concerning given that HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations.”
The National Pulse reported earlier this week that local and state law enforcement in Pennsylvania have slammed USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle‘s narrative that the security lapses were the fault of local police. In fact, the Butler, Pennsylvania, police department claims that the USSS relegated them to directing traffic, and they had no direct role in securing areas outside the USSS security perimeter.
On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced he had issued a subpoena for Cheatle to testify before his committee after he learned that DHS officials had directed her not to speak with the committee.
The revelations that most of the security detail was comprised of HSI staff is especially concerning given the admission by federal officials that they have been aware for some time of an Iranian-backed plot to assassinate former President Trump as a reprisal for the 2020 drone strike that killed Iranian military leader and terrorist Qasem Soleimani.

Joy Reid, a far-left mainstay at MSNBC, has emerged as one of the leading BlueAnon conspiracy theorists regarding the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. In a video posted on social media, Reid—under the auspices of ‘just asking questions’—posits Trump may have been struck by glass and not a bullet.
The far-left political commentator has long been seen as a liability for MSNBC, given her penchant for racially charged language and spreading false information. However, Reid‘s newest rant may be a bridge too far, even for the Democrat-aligned news network.
“We still don’t know for sure whether Donald Trump was hit by a bullet, whether he was hit by glass fragments, whether he was hit by shrapnel—we don’t have those details,” Reid states in her video, going on to falsely claim that the public has no details from Trump’s attending physician at the Butler, Pennsylvania area hospital where he was treated.
“We know almost nothing,” the MSNBC host states before plunging deeper into her bizarre conspiracy theory: “Why don’t we know that much? We know that three people were shot, and one person was unfortunately killed at the rally. We don’t know where they were sitting or standing relative to him.”
Reid continues to spin her conspiracy theory, making unfounded claims about why Trump was held in place on the stage—ignoring Secret Service protocol that requires the evacuation route be secured prior to moving a protectee. She even acknowledges that Trump was only “allowed” to stand after his security detail determined the shooter was down.
“What is the actual injury to Donald Trump‘s ear that’s under that bandage,” she asks, implying the former president may be covering something up. In an effort to further cast doubt on what millions of Americans have now seen with their own eyes, Reid declares: “It’s weird, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of curiosity about it… it’s just a strange thing that I’ve noticed.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), has revealed that whistleblowers are saying the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) was understaffed during the attempted assassination of President Donald J. Trump in Pennsylvania, due to commitments to the NATO summit that was ongoing at the same time.
“Americans deserve answers,” Jordan wrote on X, releasing a letter he sent to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Christopher Wray calling for answers regarding the failings that nearly led to the assassination of President Trump by Thomas Matthew Crooks on July 13.
Jordan poses 12 questions to Wray, including how many personnel the FBI has dedicated to the investigation into the failure, and why it took authorities so long to identify Crooks as a threat.
Some law enforcement officials say Crooks was identified as suspicious nearly half an hour before the shooting.
The FBI recently announced they had cracked Crooks’s cell phone and discovered another phone in his home. Jordan questions the FBI about what material was found on the devices and whether the FBI investigation is limited to the motivation of Crooks or if it encompasses the security failures as well.
Alongside the dozen questions, Jordan demanded the FBI hand over documentation including all communication between the USSS and the FBI regarding the Butler, PA rally.
Much of the criticism has been laid at the feet of USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle, who claimed that no one was posted on the roof from which Crooks opened fire because its slightly sloped roof made it unsafe.
“The buck stops with me,” Cheatle has claimed, though she is refusing to resign.
On Thursday, House Speaker Mike Johnson told the media that he has contacted the White House and encouraged Joe Biden to fire Cheatle.

Donald Trump paid tribute to Corey Comperatore, the fire chief who was killed while shielding his family from gunfire during the assassination attempt against the former president in Butler, Pennsylvania, during his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday. The slain father of two’s fire department uniform adorned the stage as Trump spoke, leading the convention in a moment of silence for the fallen hero.
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for others. This is the spirit that forged America in her darkest hours, and this is the love that will lead America back to the summit of human achievement and greatness. This is what we need,” Trump said.
“Despite such a heinous attack, we unite this evening more determined than ever,” he added.
Trump also paid tribute to “very, very seriously injured” rallygoers David Dutch and James Copenhaver, calling them “great warriors.”
BY THE GRACE OF GOD.
Trump recounted the attempt on his life for what he said would be the first and last time “because it’s actually too painful to tell.”
He recalled it was a “warm, beautiful day” in Butler Township when his rally began and “Everybody was happy.”
“Behind me, and to the right, was a large screen that was displaying a chart of border crossings… In order to see the chart, I started to, like this, turn to my right.. when I heard a loud whizzing sound and felt something hit me really, really hard,” he said.
The former president described how his hand was “covered with blood” after he touched his ear, and that he “immediately knew it was very serious. That we were under attack.”
He praised the Secret Service agents who rushed to cover him as “great people at great risk,” saying, “in a certain way I felt very safe because I had God on my side. I felt that.”
Trump also paid tribute to the crowd. Instead of running, they “didn’t move an inch” and “bravely but automatically stood up, looking for where the sniper would be.”
“Nobody ran, and by not stampeding, many lives were saved,” he said. “They just, this beautiful crowd, they didn’t want to leave me. They knew I was in trouble. They didn’t want to leave me.”
“I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” he added, prompting chants of “Yes, you are!”
“Thank you. But I’m not. And I’ll tell you. I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God,” he said.
“For the rest of my life, I will be grateful for the love shown by that giant audience of patriots that stood bravely on that fateful evening in Pennsylvania.”
‘NOTHING WILL STOP ME.’
Trump assured the RNC the assassination attempt had not discouraged him: “Our resolve is unbroken and our purpose is unchanged, to deliver a government that serves the American people better than ever before,” he vowed.
“Nothing will stop me in this mission because our vision is righteous and our cause is pure. No matter what obstacle comes our way, we will not break, we will not bend, we will not back down, and I will never stop fighting for you, your family, and our magnificent country. Never.”
“Tonight, I ask for your partnership, for your support, and I am humbly asking for your vote,” he concluded.
“To all of the forgotten men and women who have been neglected, abandoned, and left behind, you will be forgotten no longer. We will press forward, and together, we will win, win, win,” he added, pledging: “Nothing will sway us. Nothing will slow us. And no one will ever stop us.”
“No matter what dangers come our way, no matter what obstacles lie in our path, we will keep striving toward our shared and glorious destiny—and we will not fail.”

Loucious Hires III, executive director of the United States Secret Service‘s Office of Equity, said diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are the agency’s “ultimate goal” in a podcast last February. “I could talk on and on what the agency is doing to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion… DEI is every action every day,” he bragged.
“Part of the things that we need to continue to do more is to be open and speak openly about diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. And when every one of us within this agency can say this is a mission imperative, then we have achieved our ultimate goal,” Hires said.
In a now-unlisted 2022 podcast posted to the Secret Service‘s YouTube channel for Pride Month, Secret Service Office of Chief Counsel Supervisory Attorney-Advisor Andrew ‘Drew’ Cannady insisted, “We benefit from diversity, and I actually am seeing more openly… trans recruits out of the training center, law enforcement recruits, which is great.”
FAILURES.
Significant failures by the Secret Service during the assassination attempt against former President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, are raising concerns that DEI may be impacting its effectiveness.
Director Kimberly Cheatle has suggested the building from which sniper Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on the former president was unguarded despite being identified as a security threat because it had a slightly sloped roof. Multiple reports also indicate law enforcement had been aware of Crooks long before he opened fire and even before Trump took to the stage.
Despite all of this, he was able to get off multiple shots at the America First leader, striking his ear and hitting three rallygoers, one of whom died.
In May, concerns about DEI in the Secret Service were already present after a female agent with a questionable history, assigned to Vice President Kamala Harris, started a bizarre brawl with colleagues involving menstrual pads.

The European Parliament has dismissed a proposal from the populist Patriots for Europe group to debate the attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump and the escalating politicalviolence in Europe.
The Patriots for Europe group, spearheaded by Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, sought a debate and resolution condemning the violence following the Trump shooting. However, the proposal was overwhelmingly rejected, with 337 votes against, 119 in favor, and 15 abstentions.
Support for the Patriots came primarily from the populist Europe of Sovereign Nations and European Conservatives and Reformists groups. The former is led by Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, while the latter is led by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni‘s Brothers of Italy (FdI) party.
Reacting to the vote outcome, Kinga Gál, the First Vice-President of the Patriots for Europe and an MEP from Orbán‘s Fidesz party, criticized the parliament’s refusal to address the attempted assassination, accusing them of ignoring violence against patriotic politicians.
Patriots member Tom Vandendriessche echoed this sentiment, denouncing the decision as hypocritical and highlighting what he sees as selective outrage over attacks on democracy within the European Union (EU).
Formed just last month, Patriots for Europe is now the third-largest group in the European Parliament, comprising MEPs from parties associated with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and France’s Marine Le Pen.
Political violence against populist and anti-establishment politicians has become a common occurrence across Europe, including the attempted assassination of Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico earlier this year.
Members of Alternative for Germany have also been subject to violent attacks, such as Heinrich Koch, who was stabbed in Mannheim last month while confronting a person pulling down political posters.

Former President Donald J. Trump‘s eldest grandchild, 17-year-old Kai Madison Trump, shared a touching tribute to her grandfather at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee on Wednesday, saying she wanted to “share the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see.”
Introduced by her father, Donald Trump Jr., Kai described the former president as a doting and involved grandfather who “gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking,” takes pride in her school achievements, and regularly calls and plays golf with her.
“On Saturday, I was shocked when I heard that he has been shot, and I just wanted to know if he was OK. It was heartbreaking that someone would do that to another person,” she said.
“A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,” she continued, earning cheers from the crowd.
“Grandpa, you are such an inspiration, and I love you,” she added.
“The media makes my grandpa seem like a different person, but I know who he is. He’s very caring and loving; he truly wants the best for this country, and he will fight every single day to make America great again.”

United States Secret Service (USSS) Director Kimberly Cheatle was lambasted by a group of Republican United States Senators as she walked through the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Wednesday. The Senators demanded answers and transparency regarding the security failures that led to Saturday’s attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump.
“This was an assassination attempt! You owe the people answers. You owe President Trump answers,” shouted Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) as she and others kept stride with Cheatle through the convention concourse. Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), meanwhile, accused the USSS director of “stonewalling.”
Sens. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and James Lankford (R-OK) were also among the scrum following Cheatle as she made her way to a suite occupied by the USSS. Cheatle was in Milwaukee ostensibly to oversee security arrangements following last week’s attempted assassination, though some speculate her presence was little more than an attempt to save face.
According to Sen. Blackburn, Cheatle “…would not answer our questions and wanted to say it was not the time nor place.”
The Tennessee Republican added: “This is after we’ve been through a conference call today. … She can run, but she cannot hide because the American people want to know how an assassination attempt was carried out on former President Donald Trump.”
In response to the senators’ questions, the USSS released a statement insisting that Cheatle and the agency are committed to transparency and cooperation in the ongoing investigation into the assassination attempt. The agency also reiterated that Cheatle has no intention of stepping down as director.
