Zelensky Fires Top Diplomat Who Criticized His Sarcastic Ingratitude.

President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Ambassador to the Court of St. James – Vadym Prystaiko – has been fired by the Ukrainian president for admitting Zelensky should not have responded with “unhealthy sarcasm” when asked to show more gratitude by Western leaders.

Speaking at the recent NATO summit in Lithuania, Britain’s Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said “people want to see a bit of gratitude” from the Ukrainian government. He complained of making an eleven-hour journey to Ukraine only to be presented with a list of more demands for money and materiel, and having to push back: “I’m not Amazon.”

“How else can we show our gratitude? We can wake up in the morning and thank the minister,” Zelensky publicly mocked, in response to Wallace. “Let him write to me and tell me how to thank him.”

Zelensky’s own Ambassador pushed back against the entitled and petulant behavior of the man who has been accused of intervening in military decisions to the detriment of his country’s war effort.

“I don’t believe this sarcasm is healthy,” Prystaiko said. “I don’t think we need to show the Russians there is something between us. We’re working together, Ben [Wallace] can call me and tell me anything he wants to.”

Zelensky Mocks Request for Gratitude Towards Western Taxpayers.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has mocked the idea of showing gratitude towards Western taxpayers after British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace suggested “people want to see a bit of gratitude” from Kiev.

“Let him write to me [about] how else I should express my words of gratitude or we could get up in the morning and express our words of gratitude to the minister,” Zelensky said sarcastically, implying some kind of ceremonial thanking to placate Wallace.

NATO members in Europe have run down their stocks of armor and shells to supply Zelensky. Even America has had to resort to sending him controversial cluster bombs as munitions run low.

While Zelensky claimed the NATO summit was a “meaningful success” for Ukraine, he was scathing of the alliance shortly before his arrival, blasting its “absurd” failure to offer him either membership or a clear timeline on membership. Viral photographs from the summit show the Ukrainian, once the perennial center of attention, left alone amid NATO leaders, and glaring angrily at the cameras.

‘We’re Not Amazon’: UK Demands Thanks from Ingrate Zelensky.

Ukraine’s Western backers are showing increasing frustration with President Volodymyr Zelensky, with Britain’s Defence Secretary Ben Wallace warning on Wednesday that “people want to see a bit of gratitude,” and pointing out that nations like the United Kingdom aren’t a version of Amazon.com for Zelensky’s weapons demands.

“You know, we’re not Amazon… I told them that last year, when I drove 11 hours to be given a list [of demands].”

– UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace

Wallace made the comments in Vilnius, Lithuania, where the NATO alliance it holding its annual summit. Zelensky, though his country is not a NATO member, was in attendance, with Wallace’s comments coming right after Zelensky publicly blasted his benefactors for their “absurd” refusal to grant his country expedited NATO membership.

Instead of saying, “thank you,” Zelensky snapped back Wednesday: “I believe that we were always grateful to the United Kingdom.”

The Biden government has acknowledged that a recent, controversial decision to supply Ukraine with child-killing cluster bombs, outlawed by most countries, was driven in large part by the fact the West is running out of supplies.

US-UK Relations Sour as Biden Backs Socialist Climate Activist for NATO Chief, Over UK Defence Secretary.

Joe Biden has further damaged British-American relations by blocking British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace’s bid to become Secretary-General of NATO. He instead tacitly supporting Denmark’s socialist prime minister – but later dropped her.

Wallace, a British Army veteran who has led the Ministry of Defence (MoD), was supported for the NATO leadership in several Central European countries for his advocacy on behalf of Ukraine. Germany and France, which unlike Britain do not meet their NATO spending obligations, favored Mette Frederiksen, a Social Democrat with no military background whose native Denmark also fails to meet NATO spending obligations. Biden initially backed Frederiksen.

“We’re supposed to be their closest ally. And this is what we get,” a British government source said. “It is what it is… but it is bad for UK-U.S. relations,” they added. “They’ve done the UK a bad turn with their preference for this Danish lady.”

Biden ultimately withdrew his support for Frederiksen after she failed to impress him on a trip to Washington – but he did not revert to Wallace afterward, instead suggesting current NATO chief  Jens Stoltenberg put off retiring for 12 months. With this final betrayal, Wallace publicly conceded his promotion was “not going to happen”.
