How the World Reacted to Biden’s ‘Big Boy’ Presser.

Global media and leaders have not been to Joe Biden in their assessment of his “big boy” press conference at the NATO summit in Washington, D.C., with many arguing he should exit the presidential race.

Britain’s Economist magazine, which recently called for Biden to drop out, ran with the ambivalent headline, ‘Biden survives his “big boy” press conference.’

The Telegraph argued that Biden’s gaffes throughout the summit “ruined” months of hard work by European diplomats and undermined the entire event.

Similarly, The Daily Mail ran with, ‘Biden flubs lines, meanders and makes excruciating gaffe in “big boy” press conference that leaves his reelection bid on life support.’

Italy’s Il Giornale noted how Biden had introduced Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky with the words, “Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin.”

Germany’s Bild newspaper, the largest in the country, questioned Biden’s behavior with the headline, ‘Are these slips of the tongue or is it old age?’

In Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald ran with the headline, ‘Shaky answers and gaffes: Biden’s latest showing won’t stem the bleeding.’ New Zealand’s NZ Herald also called the presser “gaffe-prone.”

One of the biggest gaffes of the presser saw Biden refer to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump.”

Americans Identifying as Democrats Sinks to Lowest Level on Record.

The number of Americans identifying as Democrats has hit the lowest level on record, according to new data from Gallup. In June, just 23 percent of individuals surveyed identified as Democrats. Gallup began continuously recording party identification in 2004.

Identification with the Republican Party stands at 25 percent. The number of Americans identifying as political independents hit the highest number on record in the survey, with 51 percent saying they do not identify with any political party.

Democrats have generally maintained an edge in party identification compared to Republicans in past election cycles. In June 2016, the year Donald J. Trump was elected to the White House, Democratic Party affiliation sat at 47 percent, compared to 42 percent identifying as Republicans. Democrats held an even greater advantage in 2008, with 52 percent of respondents identifying with the party against 40 percent identifying as Republicans.

Historical data from Gallup shows that Republican identification dipped to its lowest, at 20 percent, in October 2013. Before June’s record low, Democratic identification hit its previous lows of 24 percent in September of both 2022 and 2023, during Biden‘s presidency.

As of June, Biden‘s approval rating stood at just 38 percent. The 81-year-old has faced substantial criticism, including from within his own party, over his cognitively impaired performance in the recent presidential debate. Democrat leaders increasingly fear Biden’s mental weakness could result in a landslide victory for Trump.

Biden Campaign TikTok

Biden Will Remain On TikTok Despite Signing Legislation That Could Ban It.

Joe Biden’s presidential re-election campaign says it will continue to use the TikTok social media app as part of its communications and voter outreach program despite Biden signing into law on Wednesday legislation that could result in a U.S. ban on the app. Evidence that TikTok’s American user data was being shared with its Chinese-owned parent company, ByteDance, prompted lawmakers on Capitol Hill to renew efforts earlier this year to force ByteDance to divest itself from its U.S. operations.

In defense of the decision to remain on TikTok, a Biden campaign official stated, “A fragmented media environment requires us to show up and meet voters where they are – and that includes online. TikTok is one of many places we’re making sure our content is being seen by voters.” The Biden campaign account has amassed over 300,000 followers with over 120 posts on the Chinese-owned social media app. Earlier this year, the launch of the Biden campaign TikTok account caught many by surprise as the Biden White House had appeared to indicate the Democrat incumbent would not have a presence on the app.

Under the new law, ByteDance will have nine months to a year to find a buyer for its U.S. TikTok app, or it will be banned from being downloaded or updated by American users. The divestiture law was attached to a $95 billion foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, passed by the House last Saturday and by the Senate late Tuesday night.

TikTok disputes the security threat allegations and is planning litigation against the divestiture law. ByteDance executives and  Chinese officials have also signaled their opposition to the forced sale. The National Pulse previously reported that the Chinese Embassy was heavily engaged in lobbying against the divestiture provision.

‘Bidenomics’ is Dead.

Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats have abandoned the term “Bidenomics” as Americans reject their economic message, and Republicans have turned the term into a pejorative.

The numbers: According to an analysis by Axios, here’s how often Biden mentioned the term “Bidenomics” during public appearances:

  • 100 times between June and Dec 2023;
  • 3 times in 2024.

Most notably, Biden didn’t mention the term once during his State of the Union this month.

Trickle-down Bidenomics: Joe’s fellow Democrats have also abandoned the term. For instance, in July 2023, Congressional Democrats used the term 483 times in addresses and on social media. In March? Ten times.

Weaponizing Bidenomics: Axios points out that “Republicans are now using the term — mockingly — far more than Democrats.” For an example, look no further than the ‘First Word’ in yesterday’s newsletter.

Big picture: The real reason Democrats abandoned the term is they couldn’t sell it to the American people who are suffering from the effects of Bidenflation, which is up roughly 20 percent since Joe took office.

  • A recent Fox News poll found that 61 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy, vs 38 percent who approve.

Biden Camp ‘Freaking Out’ About ‘Uncommitted’ Muslim Protest Vote in Michigan.

The Biden campaign is “freaking out” about an anti-Biden protest vote within Michigan’s Arab and Muslim communities.

With former President Donald Trump topping polls there, the prospect of losing the support of Michigan’s Arabs and Muslims — a key voting block in the Wolverine State — has the Biden campaign on edge. “They are freaking out about the uncommitted vote,” a Democrat close to Biden told POLITICO.

Biden’s support for Israel throughout most of its current conflict with Hamas has alienated the Arab and Muslim communities in Michigan, spawning at least two organized campaigns against the Democratic incumbent: the “Abandon Biden” campaign and the “Listen to Michigan” campaign, which is encouraging Michiganders to vote “uncommitted” in today’s primary.

Increasing frustration with Biden within the Arab and Muslim communities has gone hand in hand with the Biden regime’s decreasing support for Israel. Despite Biden’s soft anti-Israel posturing, however, Michigan’s Arabs and Muslims do not appear to be convinced.

An elected official from Michigan who acted as an intermediary between the Biden regime and Arab and Muslim community leaders says the Biden campaign’s efforts to get out the Arab and Muslim vote are still falling flat. “The Biden campaign wants me to tell you that any vote not for Biden is a vote for Donald Trump,” the official said, but “they’re like, ‘Donald Trump never killed us, Joe Biden killed our families.'”

Biden Opened a Campaign Office in D.C. Because No One Wanted to Go to Delaware.

President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign has been forced to open a satellite headquarters near the White House in Washington, D.C. after senior staff complained about having to commute to Delaware. The office, which is funded by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), will serve primarily as a base of operations for the campaign’s chief strategist, Mike Donilon, and Jen O’Malley Dillon — who left the White House in January to serve as Biden’s campaign chair.

Some national Democrats, including former President Obama, have expressed concerns over Biden’s decentralized and chaotic campaign. The President has been unwilling to let several senior aides depart the White House for the campaign full-time, opting to keep them in Washington, D.C., instead. This has left the campaign’s headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, understaffed and relatively isolated from other aspects of Biden’s political operation in the nation’s capital.

Traditionally, presidents seeking re-election have located their campaign headquarters outside Washington, D.C. Biden chose his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama based their re-election campaigns in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Chicago, Illinois, respectively. Meanwhile, former Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump established their headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

Before the opening of the DNC-funded office, senior White House aides who were moonlighting on the re-election effort would meet in the White House residence to discuss campaign strategy after work hours. While Federal law prohibits using federal resources — including office space — for campaign activities, White House residence is exempt.

Biden Campaign Now Using Chinese Communist-Owned Network to Reach American Voters.

In an effort to appeal to young voters, the Biden campaign launched a TikTok account on Sunday — even though Joe Biden signed a law banning its use by federal employees, and while the Chinese Communist-owned app is still under investigation by the U.S. government.

In 2022, Biden signed a law prohibiting federal employees from using TikTok on government-issued devices. Recently, it was reported that American TikTok users’ information is still being shared with China. Efforts to ban or regulate TikTok’s use were thwarted by a massive lobbying and influence operation.

The campaign’s decision to create a TikTok account comes after polls showed Biden hemorrhaging support among young people. According to Pew Research, roughly a third of 18-29-year-olds use TikTok regularly — a demographic the Biden campaign is desperate to rally as other traditional Democrat voting blocks continue to abandon the President. In addition to using an app that may be used by the Chinese Communist Party to spy on Americans, the Biden campaign has also floated the idea of sending Biden to Taylor Swift concerts to shore up young voters’ support.

Biden Raised Nearly $100M in Q4 2023.

The Biden campaign and Democratic National Committee raised over $97 million during the Fourth Quarter of 2023, the campaign announced.

Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez called the campaign’s impressive fundraising a “historic haul” before claiming that “democracy and hard-fought basic rights and freedoms are on the line in 2024, and these numbers prove that the American people know the stakes and are taking action early to help defeat the extreme MAGA Republican agenda again.”

The campaign said more than 520,000 donors contributed to Biden and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in Q4 2023, with 97 percent of donations below $200. The Biden team conducted 39 fundraisers in the final quarter, benefitting from more than 130,000 donors who contribute monthly. A competition to meet Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris also raised over $3 million for the campaign.

The Biden campaign now has $117 million cash on hand.
