Trump to BLOCK Handover of Critical Island Territory.

President-elect Donald J. Trump is exploring options to “veto” the handover of the British Indian Ocean Territory, home to a substantial U.S. base, to Mauritius. Mike Waltz, recently announced as Trump’s National Security Adviser, lobbied the Biden-Harris government to oppose a handover of the Chagos islands that comprise the territory, arguing it could lead to the loss of its Diego Garcia base, much as the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan led to the loss of Bagram Air Base.

“Should the UK cede control of the Chagos to Mauritius, I have no doubt that China will take advantage of the resulting vacuum,” Waltz wrote. “I urge you to work with your UK counterparts to ensure that our countries retain control of Diego Garcia, as well as make certain that China is prohibited from militarising any of the other islands in the Chagos Archipelago.”

Since Waltz wrote the letter, Sir Keir Starmer‘s far-left Labour Party has taken control of the British government and announced Chagos will be ceded to Mauritius—against the wishes of the Chagossians—next year. Starmer has seemingly asked for nothing in exchange and will, in fact, make payments to Mauritius to facilitate the transfer. However, the British will supposedly be authorized to continue exercising sovereign rights over Diego Garcia, guaranteeing the status of its British-American base.

SECURITY THREAT.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage and others have warned China could be authorized to establish a base on another island in the Chagos Archipelago, badly undermining U.S. security even if control over Diego Garcia is retained. Consequently, President-elect Trump’s transition team is seeking legal advice on whether the transfer to Mauritius can be derailed.

“Trump has received a UK-sourced briefing on Chagos and has asked the presidential transition team to work with the Pentagon to get legal advice. He has expressed a stance in principle to object to the deal if elected on the advice of the Department of Defence based on their global security posture,” a transition team source told the British media.

“There is, I can assure you, having been in America last week, knowing also the incoming defense secretary [Pete Hegseth] very well, there is outright hostility to this deal,” Farage said of the transfer on Wednesday. “Whatever is said about a lease agreement, as we saw with Hong Kong, these agreements can very, very easily be broken,” he added.

Boris Johnson Floats UK Boots on the Ground in Ukraine.

Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson is saying Britain will have to send troops to Ukraine if President-elect Donald J. Trump reduces U.S. aid to the Eastern European country. “[F]or people watching, thinking ‘Why are we supporting the Ukrainians?’ It’s because otherwise, our collective security will be really degraded by a resurgent Russia threatening all sorts of parts of Europe, and we will then have to pay to send British troops to help defend Ukraine,” he insists.

Johnson, who has honored Ukrainian neo-Nazis in London, argues Western support for Ukraine is an “investment” against potential Russian and Chinese expansionism. “If Ukraine goes down, then we face an even bigger threat on our borders, the borders of the European continent wherever the democracies butt up against Russia,” he argues. “So, it’ll be the Baltic States. It’ll be in Georgia. You’ll see the impact of a Ukrainian defeat in the Pacific theatre. You’ll see it in the South China Sea.”

The U.S.-born Briton says there are anti-war factions in the Republican Party close to Trump “who take the wrong line on Ukraine and who are, frankly, a bit entranced by Vladimir Putin and they have a kind of weird sort of fanboy thing about Putin.”

“You know, taking his shirt off. And it’s creepy, It’s bonkers, it’s wrong. [Trump is] listening to some of those people,” Johnson said—although he acknowledged that Russian forces may have overrun Kiev in 2022 if Trump had not authorized Javelin missiles for Ukraine.

Direct British military intervention in Ukraine, while a serious escalation of the conflict, would likely make little difference on the battlefield. Britain’s armed forces faced sustained cutbacks under Johnson’s Conservative Party over the past 14 years and the prior Labour government. There are fewer than 20,000 British infantrymen and fewer than 160 operational British main battle tanks in service—forces that would likely be insufficient to defend any frontline town in Ukraine.

BREAKING: Fox News’ Pete Hegseth Tapped as Trump Defense Secretary.

President-elect Donald J. Trump has announced his choice for Secretary of Defense, selecting Fox News host Pete Hegseth for the position. Trump’s statement on the matter emphasized Hegseth’s commitment to military service and his alignment with the “America First” perspective.

“I am honored to announce that I have nominated Pete Hegseth to serve in my Cabinet as the Secretary of Defense,” Trump stated. He highlighted Hegseth’s dedication throughout his career to supporting both the troops and the nation.

Hegseth has been a prominent figure in the media and a vocal supporter of military policies that reflect national interests first. He brings to this potential role a background in military service, having served in the Army National Guard and completed deployments to Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In addition to his military service, Hegseth holds a history of involvement in veterans’ affairs and advocacy for service members.

The appointment, however, will require Senate confirmation. If confirmed, Hegseth would oversee the Department of Defense, one of the largest departments in the U.S. government, at a critical time for global security and military readiness.

Trump Names Top GOP Election Attorney Bill McGinley as White House Counsel.

President-elect Donald J. Trump is naming attorney William “Bill” McGinley as his White House Counsel. McGinley is widely considered one of the top election law lawyers in the nation, with extensive experience with national party committees, national conventions, campaign finance matters, and representing Republicans in recounts and election contests.

“Bill is a smart and tenacious lawyer who will help me advance our America First agenda while fighting for election integrity and against the weaponization of law enforcement,” Trump said in a statement announcing the appointment on Tuesday. The President-elect continued: “He served in my first term as White House Cabinet Secretary and played a major role in our election victory as the RNC’s Outside Counsel for Election Integrity.”

McGinley worked with The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief, Raheem Kassam, in 2020, putting together an analysis of Democrat election lawyer Marc Elias and George Soros advisor Rosa Brooks‘s plan to establish a predicate for stealing the 2020 presidential election. The Democrat election lawyers anticipated that Donald Trump would appear the overwhelming victor during initial election returns but explained that the weeks-long counting of mail-in ballots would eventually put Joe Biden over the top.

Previously a partner at Jones Day, McGinley has served as RNC Deputy Counsel, NRSC General Counsel, and outside counsel to the NRCC. In 2016, McGinley helped lead the Trump campaign’s national convention delegate whip operation, defeating a Never Trump uprising that tried to steal the nomination.

In 2019, he was a frequent guest on Stephen K. Bannon’s War Room, defending President Trump during impeachment. In the summer of 2020, he was one of the first War Room guests to sound the alarm about the Biden campaign and their dark money allies’ schemes.

Ashli Babbitt’s Mother Celebrates Trump Pardon Promise for Jan. 6 Rioters.

Following Donald J. Trump‘s election victory last Tuesday, celebrations unfolded early Wednesday outside the Washington, D.C. jail holding individuals convicted in connection with the January 6 Capitol riots. Supporters of the President-elect gathered, marking the occasion by opening bottles of champagne and offering toasts in anticipation of potential pardons for those involved in the unrest at the Capitol, which included physical encounters with law enforcement and damage to federal property.

Among the celebrants was Michelle Witthoeft, whose daughter, Ashli Babbitt, was fatally shot during the riot. Witthoeft has been a regular presence outside the jail, maintaining a vigil for her daughter. She expressed enthusiasm about Trump’s return to leadership, stating, “Today was amazing. Woke up with the president of the United States, the rightful president back in his spot. And today, after 828 days, we’re going to pop some champagne and raise a glass to President Trump.”

TRUMP BACKS PARDONS.

Trump campaigned on a platform that included pardoning January 6 defendants, whom he has described as “hostages” and “political prisoners.” In March, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to demand, “Free the January 6 Hostages being wrongfully imprisoned!” He reiterated his stance on potential pardons during a forum in Chicago hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists. When asked if he would issue pardons, Trump replied, “Oh, absolutely, I would. If they’re innocent, I would pardon them.”

Despite his broad commitment, Trump has acknowledged that not all cases may qualify for pardons, indicating they would be reviewed individually. During a CNN town hall, he commented, “I am inclined to pardon many of them. I can’t say for every single one, because a couple of them probably got out of control.”

This past summer, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) overreached when using 18 U.S. Code § 1512(c)(2) to apply enhanced sentences to the January 6 defendants. Subsequently, several have seen their sentences either reduced or been released for time served.

BREAKING: Trump Names Mike Huckabee as Ambassador to Israel.

President-elect Donald J. Trump has named former Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR) as his Ambassador to Israel. Huckabee, a Baptist minister and 2016 Republican presidential primary candidate, is known for his staunch support of the Jewish state.

“I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected former Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, has been nominated to be The United States Ambassador to Israel,” Trump said in a statement on Tuesday announcing the decision. The President-elect added: “Mike has been a great public servant, Governor, and Leader in Faith for many years. He loves Israel, and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to bring about Peace in the Middle East!”

Huckabee’s daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, served as one of Trump’s White House press secretaries during his first administration. Currently, she serves as Governor of Arkansas, filling her father’s shoes. She was floated as a potential contender for Trump’s running mate in the early days of the 2024 presidential race.

John Fetterman Endorses Marco Rubio for Secretary of State 🥴

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is crossing the aisle and supporting President-elect Donald J. Trump‘s rumored Secretary of State nominee, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). Although Trump has yet to make a formal announcement, Rubio is the subject of a whisper campaign to be his choice for the top diplomatic position.

Fetterman’s endorsement could pave the way for a smoother confirmation process for Rubio. With the recent election results, Republicans have secured a majority in the Senate, holding 52 seats (less one as Senator J.D. Vance will serve as Vice President). This gives Rubio a favorable outlook for confirmation, as he will only require a simple majority of 51 senators. Fetterman’s support indicates potential bipartisan backing, even if limited.

In a public statement, Fetterman addressed his decision on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He acknowledged the inherent political differences expected from nominees selected by the opposing party. Nonetheless, Fetterman expressed confidence in Rubio’s capabilities, stating, “my colleague [Marco Rubio] is a strong choice and I look forward to voting for his confirmation.”

Fetterman has emerged as a quasi-heterodox Democrat, often bucking the party line on foreign policy—especially regarding his support for Israel.

During the 2024 presidential election, as Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign struggled in Pennsylvania, it leaned heavily on Fetterman in an effort to win over working-class voters. Despite Fetterman entering the fray, Trump won the critical swing state.

Judge Delays NY Fraud Case Proceedings Against Trump… Again.

New York Judge Juan Merchan is moving to delay his decision regarding whether to dismiss the New York business record fraud case against President-elect Donald J. Trump for a week while he weighs a request by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s office to suspend the proceedings while Trump is in office as President of the United States. Meanwhile, attorneys for Trump are reiterating their request that Judge Merchan outright dismiss the case against Trump, citing a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity.

Merchan notified the attorneys for both Trump and Bragg that he would not rule on the future of the case until November 19. If the judge decides to merely suspend the proceedings, the sentencing stemming from the guilty verdict could resume once President Trump is no longer in office.

Should Merchan decide to suspend proceedings for the next four years, it would make it difficult for Trump’s attorneys to appeal the case and have a higher court throw out the charges. However, the judge could still side with Trump’s attorneys and rule to vacate the charges entirely.

District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office says it agrees with Merchan’s order, noting: “The People agree that these are unprecedented circumstances.” In response to the stay order, attorneys for President-elect Trump are asking Merchan again to dismiss the case against him, arguing this is “necessary to avoid unconstitutional impediments to President Trump’s ability to govern.”

Would-Be Illegal Migrants Are ‘Sad’ About Trump’s Victory.

Hundreds of migrants in Reynosa, Mexico, near the U.S. border, are anxiously awaiting an opportunity to cross into the United States as President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inauguration approaches. Approximately 850 migrants reside at the Senda de Vida shelter in the town bordering McAllen, Texas. Many have been using the CBP One app to schedule entry appointments.

With months of waiting behind them, the migrants want to claim asylum in the U.S. However, Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris signals a likely tightening of border policies. Trump has reaffirmed his commitment to border security, appointing former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Thomas Homan as the border czar. Homan advocates for stringent deportation measures.

“If Harris had won, people would be jumping for joy and as you can see right now, they look sad, they are feeling down,” one migrant in Senda de Vida told the media.

Speaking at the Republican National Convention earlier this year, Homan was unequivocal: “I got a message to the millions of illegal aliens that Joe Biden has released into our country in violation of federal law: You better start packing now.”

Illegal border crossings have increased under the Biden-Harris government, with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) numbers indicating nearly three million instances in fiscal year 2024 alone.

REVEALED: State Dept DEI Policies Encouraged Discrimination Against Men.

The U.S. State Department is being accused of engaging in gender discrimination against men in its promotion process for foreign service positions. A study by the Heritage Foundation indicates that in 2023, women were promoted at higher rates than men across all five foreign service officer career tracks despite men being more numerous in the workforce. The career tracks include consular affairs, economic affairs, political affairs, public diplomacy, and management.

Concerningly, the report suggests that the promotional challenges for men are not a new development at the State Department. The data suggests similar disparities in promotion rates throughout the Biden-Harris government from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, a 2020 Government Accountability Office report found that between 2003 and 2018, women generally spent less time in each rank compared to their male counterparts.

“This report exposes the administration’s pattern—under the guise of ‘equity’—of promoting women at higher rates than men, with no logical explanation other than preference based on sex alone,” Simon Hankinson, a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, said in a recent interview, adding that the “…findings urge corrective action to restore merit-based promotion.”

Since President Biden’s inauguration in 2021, efforts to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives have been a priority. Agencies were required to submit strategies to enhance DEI, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken appointed the department’s first chief diversity and inclusion officer.

The incoming administration of President-Elect Donald J. Trump has signaled it intends to dismantle DEI initiatives implemented under Biden.
