Hunter Biden Files Motion to Dismiss Gun Charge Indictments.

Lawyers on behalf of President Joe Biden‘s troubled son, Hunter, have filed several motions in a federal court to dismiss the charges brought against him in Delaware earlier this year.

Hunter’s legal team argued the charges, brought against him in September over a 2018 firearm purchase while he was still taking drugs, are “unprecedented, unconstitutional” and contravene the “sweeping immunity” of the diversion agreement  signed by the United States Department of Justice in July this year.

They also said the diversion agreement, which stopped him from purchasing or possessing a firearm and demanded he refrain from substance or alcohol use, remains binding and legally valid.

Another motion states the law used against Hunter is likely “unconstitutional” because prosecutors could not prove he was taking drugs when he bought a firearm. They cited the case of United States v. Daniels, which argues a sober individual can buy a gun in spite of previous drug abuse.

Hunter’s counsel went on to suggest Special Counsel David Weiss, appointed by former President Donald Trump in Delaware, was unlawfully appointed. “Not only did the Attorney General disregard the regulation requiring appointment of a Special Counsel from outside of the government; the Attorney General did not even select a Special Counsel from outside his own agency,” they claimed.

They added the charges represent “selective and vindictive prosecution” against Hunter Biden, with the Special Counsel succumbing to “political pressure to bring more severe charges.”

The charges are separate from the nine indictments on unpaid federal taxes brought against him last week.

Jack Smith Goes Straight To Supreme Court on Question of Presidential Immunity.

Department of Justice (DOJ) special prosecutor Jack Smith is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to step-in and immediately resolve the question of presidential immunity raised by former President Donald Trump. Lawyers for Trump have asserted the Constitution affords the former President absolute immunity from prosecution which would render the DOJ’s January 6 case in Washington, D.C. null.

U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan – presiding over Smith’s January 6 prosecution – denied Trump’s presidential immunity argument at the beginning of December. Four days ago, the former President’s lawyers appealed Chutkan’s ruling to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, with an additional filing asking the appellate court order all further proceedings in the case paused until the immunity question was resolved.

The crux of Trump’s argument revolves around the absolute immunity from lawsuits to a sitting president granted by Nixon v. Fitzgerald. Whether a sitting or former President is immune from arrest or criminal prosecution for actions taken in office has not been, until now, legally tested. Trump’s lawyers argue his alleged statements regarding the 2020 federal election “unquestionably” fall under the scope of official duties – making them arguably immune from subsequent legal action.

In his Supreme Court filing, Smith counters Trump’s immunity claim, arguing: “The Constitution’s text, structure, and history lend no support to that novel claim. This Court has accorded civil immunity for a President’s actions… and the Executive Branch has long held the view that a sitting President cannot be indicted… But those principles cannot be extended to provide the absolute shield from criminal liability…”. He concludes: “Neither the separation of powers nor respondent’s acquittal in impeachment proceedings lifts him above the reach of federal criminal law.”

Smith’s filing does acknowledge Trump’s request to pause the trial proceedings, while the immunity question is resolved through appeals, is the correct procedure. However, due of the imminent presidential election, Smith argues he is justified in asking the Justices step in and resolve the question ahead of the appellate court – allowing the Washington, D.C.-based trial to move forward on May 4, 2024 as scheduled.

Bidenomics: Houses Are Now Less Affordable Than At Any Other Time In U.S. History.

Houses in the United States are less affordable than at any time in the country’s history, with the average monthly price of home payments increasing from $1,787 to $3,322 per month since Joe Biden became President in January 2021.

The average monthly mortgage payment is 52 percent higher than the average cost of renting an apartment. In metropolitan areas and cities, such as Seattle, Austin, and several Californian cities, the figure increases to a staggering 175 percent.

Someone taking out a mortgage on a house costing $430,000 with a ten percent initial payment is forced to pay $3,200 every month: 60 percent more than three years ago.

As a result, the average age of a “first-time buyer” is n0w 35, three years older than under Donald Trump’s presidency. The number was even higher in 2022 at 36 years old. One-third of house purchases were made by first-time buyers, far below the average of 38 percent.

“There is a lot of shadow demand for homes, with a bunch of first-time buyers waiting on the sidelines for the payment-to-paycheck calculation to work for them,” Odeta Kushi, deputy chief economist at First American Corporation, recently explained.

Meanwhile, jobless claims are on the rise under the Biden government, and more Americans are being forced to break into their life savings.

Far Left Author Grifts off George Santos to Sell Book.

Far-left lawyer, author, and MSNBC commentator Tristan Snell is grifting off the former Republican Representative George Santos (R-N.Y.) to sell a book on former President Donald Trump.

Snell – a former New York Assistant Attorney General and key figure involved in the Trump University case – commissioned a video from Santos and manipulated the content to resemble a direct conversation with the congressman, who was recently expelled from the House for allegedly misusing campaign funds.

The clip starts with Santos acknowledging Snell’s legal skills and perceived support for the nation, with Snell responding in kind, alluding that Santos might soon hear “guilty as charged.”

Additionally, Santos encouraged Snell to complete the work after Snell led him to believe he was writing a book on the Constitution. He, however, revealed his actual publication, “Taking Down Trump,” before offering to autograph a copy for Santos. The author then took the opportunity to market his book further by encouraging his audience to buy it before it gets “banned in certain states.”

Snell would have paid anywhere between $150 t0 $200 for the Santos cameo. It is uncertain whether enough people will buy the book to reimburse the costs of the clip.

DeSantis’s ‘Faith CEO’ Bob Vander Plaats Doesn’t Know When the Iowa Caucus Is.

Bob Vander Plaats, the Iowa evangelical political operative backing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, appeared to not even know when the Iowa Caucus was being held. In a now deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Vander Plaats attempted to spin the newest Ann Selzer poll of Iowa claiming: “This poll shows Iowans have a choice on Caucus night, January 19… [Donald Trump] or [Ron DeSantis].” The 2024 Iowa Caucus is being held on January 15th not on the 19th.

Stylized the “Faith CEO” of Iowa, Vander Plaats has become one of the DeSantis campaign’s more visible surrogates in Iowa. The evangelical political leader publicly endorsed DeSantis for president after the Florida Governor’s campaign made sizable contributions to Vander Plaats’s Family Leader Foundation. Chris LaCivita, a senior advisor to former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, caught the error and in a post of his own drew attention to Vander Plaats’s careless and bewildering gaffe.

The impetus for the rushed and erroneous campaign spin from Vander Plaats was the newly released Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll showing former President Trump holding a commanding lead among Republican caucus-goers with 51-percent, an 8-percent increase from October. DeSantis is in a distant second at 19-percent, while Nikki Haley is close behind him at 16-percent. Ann Selzer, the gold standard for Iowa pollsters, conducted the survey.

This is the second public gaffe in a week made by the DeSantis campaign as it scrambles to make up ground in Iowa. On Friday, Casey DeSantis urged out-of-state activists to descend on Iowa and “be a part of the caucus” – seeming to imply they should vote. The Iowa GOP was forced to release a statement pointing out that only legal Iowa residents could vote in the caucus and reminded voters to bring a photo ID.

DOJ Files Motion to Hide Jan 6 Docs in Trump Case Discovery.

The Department of Justice (DOJ)’s special counsel in the January 6 case, Jack Smith, has filed a motion rejecting Donald Trump’s request for documents from multiple government agencies.

Smith argued this weekend that Trump’s demands amount to “an unprecedented expansion of the Government’s discovery obligations that would provide special treatment for him and result in delay.”

Smith claims the “prosecution team” is not the entire executive branch, meaning documents belonging to the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the DOJ, the Special Counsel’s office, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and other Congressional committees, are “not discoverable”.

“The Government has taken a broad approach to discovery, providing voluminous, comprehensive, and early productions that exceed its obligations,” Smith adds.

The motion accepts prosecutors must reveal information that may be useful to a defendant, yet claims much information Trump has requested “is not in the Government’s possession, [and] in many cases does not appear to exist…”

Reports suggest the information is not discoverable because thousands of texts between Secret Service officials were deleted in January 2021 “after House Democrats notified executive agencies to preserve all Jan 6-related records.” Other withheld information includes Secret Service transcripts, which detail operations on January 6, 2021.

WATCH: Trumps Brings Down the House at New York ‘Black Tie Rally’ at Cipriani.

NEW YORK, NY – Former President Donald J. Trump rocked the house at the largest New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) gala in decades, blasting his political rivals, cracking jokes about his fellow GOP presidential nominee candidates, and lauding the work of hardline ‘America First’ stalwarts in the audience on Saturday night.

The National Pulse was a sponsor of the event which attracted almost 1,000 black tie-wearing attendees to the illustrious Cipriani Wall Street venue, where Trump waxed lyrical about aspects of his personal life, his policy ambitions, and regaled the audience with stories from the 2016 campaign.

Club President Gavin Wax introduced Trump to massive fanfare, at the event which saw dignitaries and notables such as Congressman Matt Gaetz, Stephen K. Bannon, Senator Roger Marshall, Senator J.D. Vance, Congressman Lauren Boebert, Congressman Cory Mills, and many more.

In classic Trump fashion, the 45th President of the United States often went off script, tearing into political opponents like Joe Biden, Ron DeSantis, and Nikki Haley. He also took the time to blast the “fake news media” for misinterpreting his comments and jokes, especially those made at the expense of Joe Biden.

Trump’s most powerful line came when discussing Biden’s framing of his ‘MAGA’ movement as “extreme”.

“MAGA stands for Make America Great Again,” Trump reminded the audience, before going on to admit, “I am extreme about making America Great Again,” in a statement not dissimilar to former Senator Barry Goldwater’s famous line: “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

The New York Young Republican Club is already beginning to plan next year’s event, with the gala turning more into a “black tie rally” in the words of organizers, due to the audience’s energy, volume, and the content of the speeches on the night.

WATCH: Vivek Schools CNN’s Dana Bash on How Cops Incited Jan 6.

Vivek Ramaswamy sparred with with CNN’s Dana over his assertion during the debate that federal law enforcement, and other elements of the government hostile to former President Trump, instigated the Capitol riot on January 6th, 2021. During the debate he challenged his fellow Republican primary candidates to be more open to questioning the government’s official narrative – posing the question: “Why am I the only person on this stage this state, at least, who can can say that January 6th now does look like was an inside job.”

Bash kicked off the post-debate spin room exchange with Ramaswamy, bluntly claiming: “There is no evidence that is is an inside job. It was a fringe was a fringe conspiracy theory that Trump appointed FBI director Christopher Ray has said explicitly, over-and-over, is just not true.” Nonplussed, Ramaswamy pushed back: “Looking at the facts of the video footage that have come out, it is shocking that you still haven’t gotten a clear answer as to how many federal agents were in the field that day.”

Ramaswamy pointed Bash to U.S. Capitol security camera footage made public by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) which indicate federal law enforcement deployed dangerous crowd dispersal tactics against the mass of protestors prior to the riot. Footage also shows police opening doors to let protestors into the Capitol, later declared a “crime” for which many have faced prosecution.

“That is a case of entrapment,” Ramaswamy told Bash.

The interview continued for more several minutes with Bash appearing increasingly confused. The CNN anchor incorrectly argued  “an inside job” suggests all of the protestors who rioted and entered the Capitol were either federal agents or acting the government’s behalf.

CIA Analyst: Jan 6 Wasn’t a Coup & Trump Is NOT an Authoritarian Threat.

Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst Martin Gurri is urging some perspective on January 6th and Donald Trump. With the media panicmongering about a descent into authoritarianism under a second Trump term, Gurri believes the “hysteria” is unwarranted.

“I know what some political depressives will be thinking – and they’re wrong,” Gurri wrote. “January 6 was not an insurgency aiming to install Trump as Chief Authoritarian.”

The former CIA analyst explained that “[i]n an insurgency, people with guns shoot at each other and lots of them die,” but on Jan 6 the only fatality was “a young woman who was shot by a Capitol policeman… She was unarmed, as was the rest of the trespassing mob. There’s no such thing as an unarmed insurgency,” he added.

Those skeptical of the “Jan 6 as insurrection” narrative have often pointed out the strangeness of the supposed insurrectionists showing up without firearms, despite the U.S. boasting a heavily armed citizenry.

Gurri was occasionally unflattering about Trump himself, but said he met none of the requisites to become a dictator. Typically, would-be dictators command the military or the security services. “What would happen if Trump ordered the FBI or the 101st Airborne Division to start shooting Democrats? Homeric laughter,” Gurri suggested.

Other would-be dictators depend on private militias – but “if Trump is training a militia somewhere off the 18th hole at Mar-a-Lago, not even the Times has heard about it,” Gurri observed.

“If you insist that Trump is an authoritarian, if you continue to maintain that he’s the greatest threat ever to our democracy, then you’re portraying [his] voters as goose-stepping bigots — and you know full well that they’re not.”

MAGA Loyalists Including Bannon, Lake Lined Up for New Trump Admin, While Melania Wants Tucker as VP.

Donald Trump is lining up America First loyalists like Steve Bannon and Kari Lake to staff his next administration, while Melania Trump is keen for Tucker Carlson to serve as her husband’s running mate.

Trump spent little time in Washington D.C. prior to winning the presidency. He says this meant he had to rely on establishment figures to fill some key jobs. He is determined to have a team ready to implement a MAGA agenda on day one if he wins in 2024, however.

Possible Vice President picks reportedly include J.D. Vance, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kristi Noem, and Kari Lake. Vance may prefer to remain in the Senate, to serve as “Trump’s hammer.”

Melania Trump, however, is said to be keen to bring aboard Tucker Carlson as Vice President. Carlson recently revealed he is now an “active” Trump supporter. The weaponization of the Justice Department against the 45th President pushed him to make his previous support more public.

In terms of a Trump Justice Department, sources have told the media Trump is “most likely to make a shocking pick” for Attorney General.

“You want to weaponize DOJ, motherf***er?” they explained.

Candidates include Mike Lee and Stephen Miller. Miller is also being considered for another Cabinet-level role, where he would steer immigration policy.

War Room host Steve Bannon may return as White House Chief of Staff, with Carlson’s backing. “Steve believes: If you said we’re building a wall, we’re building a wall,” Carlson said.

Former Pentagon official Kash Patel could receive a top intelligence job to help bring the intelligence “community” to heel, while Richard Grenell  could become Secretary of State.

The Trump team is adamant that whoever gets the top jobs this time, they must be eager to move quickly on immigration and uprooting the Deep State.
