DeSantis Collapses to Single Digits in Ohio, Behind Vivek.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is on just nine percent in the Republican primary race in Ohio, trailing entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, now on 12 percent.

Former President Donald Trump is dominates the field in the Buckeye State, according to Ohio Northern University polling, on 64 percent. DeSantis — who has presented himself as Trump without the baggage, but campaigned as Jeb Bush without the name recognition — is now in third place behind Ramaswamy, a candidate who lacks the prior celebrity or record in high office of his competitors – but is beating all expectations for his candidacy.

The Ohio polling also punctures the DeSantis camp’s narrative that the Floridian has a better chance of beating President Joe Biden than Trump, having him eke out a narrow 41-39 victory over the octogenarian Democrat while Trump smashes him by a much wider margin of 49 to 39 percent.

Media outlets owned by Rupert Murdoch, already backing off their previous support for DeSantis amid insider reports that he can “smell a loser”, had suggested Ramaswamy was displacing the Florida Governor as Trump’s main competitor before the Ohio polling was released.

Biden Prosecutor Adds 3 More Charges to Trump Documents Case.

Joe Biden’s foreign-dwelling, Obama-linked prosecutor “Jack” Smith has added three more charges against former President Trump, in a move the Trump campaign blasted as “nothing more than a continued desperate and flailing attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their Department of Justice to harass President Trump and those around him.”

The new charges attempting to “alter, destroy, mutilate, or conceal evidence”; inducing someone else to do so; and a new count under the Espionage Act stemming from a document they allege he showed to visitors at the Trump National club in Bedminster.

“Deranged Jack Smith knows that they have no case and is casting about for any way to salvage their illegal witch hunt and to get someone other than Donald Trump to run against Crooked Joe Biden,” the Trump campaign shot back on Thursday.

Maintenance worker, Carlos De Oliveria, was added as a new defendant in the case, with the DOJ claiming he was instructed to wipe video surveillance servers.

‘I’m Glad They Like Our Writing’, Says Matt Damon After Trump Posts Movie Clip.

Matt Damon has said he is glad Donald Trump and his team liked the writing on Air, after efforts by Ben Affleck and himself to have a fundraising video using a monologue from the movie taken down seemingly failed.

The monologue, delivered by Damon, describes “an American story” about a man who is first cheered on and then torn down as he pursues greatness – much as Trump was after he went from being celebrity tycoon hailed by Hollywood to a conservative leader despised by the elite class.

During a recent CNN appearance, Damon was pressed on the video, which Trump shared on his Truth Social platform, with host Chris Wallace saying: “I know you denounced it, you and Ben Affleck.”

“Yeah, we said, you know, you don’t have our permission to use that,” Damon replied.

“But the last I heard it was still up on front of Trump social [sic],” Wallace responded.

“I don’t know what to make of it. I mean, you know, he’s probably… I’m glad they like our writing,” said Damon.

The monologue can be read in full below:

“Money can buy you almost anything. It can’t buy you immortality, that you have to earn.

“I’m gonna look you in the eyes, and I’m gonna tell you the future. It’s an American story, and that’s why Americans are gonna love it. People are going to build you up, God are they going to, because when you’re great and new, we love you. Men will build you into something that doesn’t even exist, you’re going to change the f***ing world.

“But you know what? Once they build you as high as they possibly can, they’re gonna tear you back down. It’s the most predictable pattern. We build you into something that doesn’t exist, and that means you have to try to be that thing all day, every day. That’s how it works. And we do it again, and again, and again.

“I’m gonna tell you the truth. You’re gonna be attacked, betrayed, exposed, humiliated, and you’ll survive that. A lot of people can climb that mountain. It’s the way down that breaks them, because that’s the moment when you’re truly alone – and what will you do then? Can you summon the will to fight on through all the pain and rise again? That will be the defining question of your life, and I think you already know the answer.

“That’s why we’re all here. A shoe is just a shoe, until somebody steps into it – then it has meaning. The rest of us just want a chance to touch that greatness. We need you in these shoes. Not so you have meaning in your life, but so that we have meaning in ours. Everyone will be forgotten, as soon as our time here is up. Except for you. You’re gonna be remembered forever, because some things are eternal, and your story is going to make us fight and never give up.”

DeSantis Proxies ‘Crushed’ on Twitter Asked Campaign for Elon Intervention.

Supporters of Ron DeSantis have admitted they are losing to MAGA Republicans on social media and even reached out to the official campaign with the hopes of having Twitter owner Elon Musk intervene on their behalves.

DeSantis fanatic Bill Mitchell announced on a small Twitter Spaces this week:

“I’ve been talking to Bryan Griffin… we’re really getting crushed out here on social media… you know I don’t know what kind of contacts you’ve got with Elon [Musk] or something like that, but you know could you guys do something to sort of… help to support us out here.”

It’s unclear what an intervention from Musk could look like, though some have speculated that Mitchell is openly calling for censorship of his political opponents.

One instance of Mitchell himself “getting crushed” was witnessed earlier this week after he launched a Twitter poll asking his followers: “Should President Trump disavow misogynist [Editor of The National Pulse Raheem Kassam] for constantly using the c-word in his posts while attacking DeSantis supporters.” Mitchell lost overwhelmingly, with 78 percent of voters answering “no.”

College-Educated Republicans Drop DeSantis En Masse, Joining Non-College Grads in Their Trump Support.

College-educated Republicans have now joined their non-college-educated cohorts in supporting former President Donald J. Trump over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, according to three new Republican primary polls and previously unpublished data from McClatchyDC.

DeSantis dropped a whopping 18 points amongst college-educated Rs over the first half of 2023 according to Morning Consult, while Ipsos concurred the governor had more than halved his support amongst the same group since mid-March. Quinnipiac showed DeSantis with 51 percent of support amongst the college-educated in February, down to just 29 percent today.

“College-educated Republicans were looking for an alternative to Donald Trump, and they initially thought Governor DeSantis, after his 19-point win in Florida, made for a good one,” Whit Ayres, a GOP pollster, told the Miami Herald.. “But the way he has run his campaign, constantly tacking to the right, has turned off many of those people who were initially attracted to him.”

Ayres comments imply the college-educated group were looking for more of a common sense candidate to support, and found DeSantis to be far more ideological, and far less pragmatic than they originally hoped. The news comes as DeSantis announces yet another campaign shake-up, with Donald Trump now performing better with non-college and college-educated Republicans.

Trump Turncoat Bill Mitchell Loses His Own ‘C-Word’ Poll.

Former Trump supporter-turned-DeSantis sycophant Bill ‘Biff’ Mitchell has been left with egg on his face after attempting to mount a pressure campaign to have Donald Trump disavow The National Pulse editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam over his traditional British use of “the c-word”.

Mitchell launched a poll on Twitter, where he supposedly has over 410,000 followers, asking: “Should President Trump disavow misogynist [Raheem Kassam] for constantly using the c-word in his posts while attacking DeSantis supporters?”

It’s unclear why DeSantis supporters are – like the far left – now trying to label Kassam a “misogynist” as well as a “racist” and “homophobe”, but Mitchell’s attempts failed spectacularly. He lost his own poll by a landslide 78 to 22 percent after almost 4,000 votes.

Far from being disavowed by Trump, Kassam received a personal shout-out from former President Donald Trump at his screening of Sound of Freedom in Bedminster later the same day.

The humiliating defeat underlines how little clout Mitchell has, especially after his decision to turn against Trump in favor of DeSantis in January.

In 2016, Mitchell was over-the-top in his feigned devotion to Trump, wearing a Super Bowl-style ring with ‘PRESIDENT TRUMP’ engraved on it and claiming to “live vicariously” through the MAGA kingpin. Now, Mitchell says he agrees with DeSantis that Trump “should have done more” to stop January 6th.

Whether Mitchell was ever an asset to the Trump camp is an open question, as much of his former notoriety was owed to those who found him ridiculous and regularly shared his content for the purpose of mocking him.

Mitchell has claimed he will “retire” from commentary if Ron DeSantis does not win the Republican nomination, which appears to have driven him to an increasingly delusional perspective on the GOP primary, insisting the Florida Governor is “everywhere and killing every interview” as well as “owning [the] media” despite his dismal poll numbers and repeated campaign reboots.

Scott Walker Says DeSantis Is Making His Same, Losing Mistakes.

Scott Walker, who once challenged Donald Trump for the Republican nomination in 2015, says Ron DeSantis is making the same mistakes he did eight years ago.

Once considered a potential frontrunner for the 2016 nomination before flaming out early, Walker said the DeSantis camp needs to “focus on going lean,” noting that it has had early fundraising successes but has been “burning up a fair amount of that money” – while going backwards in the polls.

DeSantis has already begun firing staff to try and make ends meet, but Walker had some other advice for the Florida Governor: “[H]e needs to go bold. I know this firsthand. Just having a great track record as governor is not enough, particularly when you go head-to-head with someone like Donald Trump,” he said, referring to his own time as Governor of Wisconsin.

“[DeSantis] needs to step out, not just to have good performances, but actually kind of light a fire with primary and caucus voters with some really bold ideas that will not only help him in the polls but ultimately help him with the fundraising at the lower-dollar level, which is what you need these days to sustain a campaign,” Walker explained.

Whether DeSantis is capable of breaking his dependence on controversial megadonors and running an inspiring retail campaign is uncertain, however. It is not even clear whether he understands what success in this area should look like, recently boasting of drawing 30 to 40 people to events as Trump was hosting rallies attended by tens of thousands.

The Floridian also seems to be short on “bold ideas,” with what was touted as a major announcement on immigration in June turning out to be a restatement of “Build the Wall” and other Trump policies.

EXC: Bannon & Kushner Reconcile Over ‘Sound of Freedom’ Movie at Bedminster.

BEDMINSTER, New Jersey – The Sound of Freedom movie, highlighting the scourge of child sex trafficking, has brought audiences together across America, and media haters together on the internet. Now, it appears the film has reunified two unlikely figures in previously sworn enemies: Jared Kushner and Stephen K. Bannon.

The son-in-law of the 45th President of the United States and his former Chief Strategist grew quickly estranged in the Trump White House, with the former accusing the latter of leaking, and the latter blasting back against Kushner’s New York liberal instincts in government.

But the pair accidentally found each other at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster on Wednesday night, as President Trump screened the Sound of Freedom movie for his club members, as well as an inner circle of influencers, writers, and reporters, including The National Pulse.

“This movie can unite the country. It’s already united Jared, Ivanka, Kellyanne and Steve Bannon,” joked the War Room host from the stage last night, in a nod to how fractious it became between the four in the White House.

Donald Trump himself has already ruled out a return to the administration for members of his family, telling Fox News’s Bret Baier, “that’s enough for the family,” before adding, “It’s too painful for the family, my family has been through hell.”

Both Jared and his wife Ivanka Trump were in attendance for the special screening of Sound of Freedom on Wednesday night, as were top MAGA-world officials and influencers such as Susie Wiles, Boris Epshteyn, Jason Miller, Chris La Civita, Karli Bonne, Jack Posobiec, Paul Ingrassia, Tanya Posobiec, Olivia Ingrassia, J.R. Majewski, Natalie Winters, Gavin Wax, Alexandra Preate, and more.

Lib Media Freaks Out Over Trump’s ‘Sound of Freedom’ Screening.

The Guardian newspaper has stepped up its attacks on the anti-child trafficking Sound of Freedom movie after former President Donald J. Trump screened the film for a select group at his Bedminster club on Wednesday.

The British newspaper led by describing Sound of Freedom as “a hit with Qanon devotees” – although in fact it has been a hit with moviegoers generally, beating Disney’s big-budget Indiana Jones movie when it debuted on July 4th and coming in second behind the latest installment of Mission: Impossible this past weekend.

Legacy media outlets have been at pains to link Sound of Freedom and its leading man, Jim Caviezel, to “Qanon conspiracy theories” centered on the Democratic Party, Satanism, and child sexual abuse, though The Guardian was forced to admit seven paragraphs into its hit piece that the movie, which was actually finished in 2018, is based on a true story.

media

Tim Ballard, who Caviezel portrays, really does head a trafficker-busting organization called Operation Underground Railroad, and a raid on a Colombian island where traffickers were holding large numbers of children, depicted in the movie, really happened.

Raheem Kassam, editor-in-chief at The National Pulse, reviewed Sound of Freedom shortly after its release, dubbing it “the most important movie of the year.”

Arizona’s ‘Fake’ Electors Are The Next Target.

An investigation launched by Arizona’s Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes is seeking another round of indictments against so-called “fake electors” in Arizona, or rather, people who believed former president Donald Trump won the state in 2020.

Mayes – who campaigned during the 2022 midterms on a pledge to investigate the Republican electors – assigned a team of investigators in May to consider charges against a group who lawfully contested the 2020 election results in Arizona. The investigators are said to have already made “direct” contact with the electors involved.

These so-called “fake electors” include current state representative Jake Hoffman, former state representative Anthony Kern, US Senate candidate Jim Lamon, the chairman of the Arizona GOP Dr. Kelli Ward, and Tyler Bowyer, CEO at the Arizona-based Turning Point USA.

Some of the potential charges the electors may face include forgery, tampering with a public record, and impersonating a public servant. These are not dissimilar to the charges brought against the 16 Michigan electors on Wednesday, which included forgery, conspiracy to commit forgery, and election law forgery.

The charges are not expected to be announced for some time as Mayes’s investigations are “not as far along as the federal one led by Jack Smith or Willis’ in Georgia.”
