Here Are The Charges Trump May Face in His Jan 6 Indictment.

The target letter sent to Donald Trump by special prosecutor Jack Smith suggests the former president will be charged with conspiracy, obstruction, and civil rights offenses – but not insurrection or sedition.

Leaks to Rolling Stone indicate that Trump is accused of violating three federal statutes:

  1. Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud the United States;
  2. Deprivation of rights under color of law;
  3. Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.

The target letter does not explain how Trump, who was told he must report to a grand jury by Thursday, is supposed to have violated these statutes.

While Trump’s critics have often accused the 45th President of having incited the “insurrection” on January 6th there are reportedly no allusions to insurrection and sedition charges in the target letter.

Trump believes he will almost certainly be arrested and indicted when he appears.

WaPo Writer: Trump Backers Aren’t Cultists. They’re Abandoned Patriots.

Donald Trump’s supporters are not cultists, but “patriotic Americans who believe the country is at a tipping point politically and culturally” and view him as their “last, best hope” to right the ship of state, admits Washington Post columnist Gary Abernathy.

“I was immediately ready to move on [in 2020]. He meant nothing to me on a personal or sentimental level,” Abernathy wrote in his WaPo column. He thought other Republican voters would do the same, but now concedes he underestimated the former president’s personal role in connecting with conservatives who “would not be civically engaged at all” without him.

A former John McCain advisor, Abernathy did not hide his personal bias against Trump, claiming he “incited an attack on the Capitol” and “hoard[ed] classified material” after the 2020 election – but acknowledged his record in office was “more impressive than critics admit.”

“That’s not to say Trump’s legion of admirers is a “cult,” as critics like to claim. They are not mindlessly mesmerized by Trump. They are also not enemies of democracy. To the contrary, the Trump supporters I know are patriotic Americans who believe the country is at a tipping point politically and culturally, and that no other candidate is sufficiently impervious to the pull of “the swamp” to effect a rescue.”

— Gary Abernathy

“Trump tapped into a sense of abandonment felt by large swaths of the population, but I still don’t think those who are confounded by Trump fully appreciate how profound and widespread that feeling was — and remains,” Abernathy wrote, highlighting West Virginia’s transformation from “deep blue” to “bright-red Trump Country” by way of example.

“A political swing that dramatic does not occur unless it is driven by a powerful sense of alienation from the status quo,” he observed, noting how Trump’s supporters say he “inspires them to hope and assures them, without apologies, that they still matter.”

Farage ‘Debanked’ For Friendships With Trump… and Novak Djokovic!?

Brexit leader Nigel Farage had his personal bank account closed by Coutts due to his friendship with former President Donald J. Trump, as well as tennis legend and vaccine refuser Novak Djokovic. The bank’s “reputation risk committee” kept a “Stasi-style surveillance report” on Farage, 59, which also bemoans his position on Brexit and LGBT issues.

Farage recently obtained access to the 40-page document which cites the company’s Equality, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) policies, as well as dedicating nine pages to alleged links to Russia before concluding: “NF seemingly has no direct links to Russia.”

Farage’s surveillance report makes negative mentions of his friendship with Novak Djokovic, appearances on Alex Jones/InfoWars, and his critical comments of Black Lives Matter.

The dossier mentions the 45th President 39 times, and Farage himself wrote on Tuesday: “The fact that I support Donald Trump is part of this charge sheet.”

The Brexit crusader concluded: “This story is not just about me. You could be next. Refinitiv, which monitors creditworthiness, can examine social media posts made by any of us on Facebook or elsewhere. If this situation is left unchecked, we will sleepwalk towards a China-style social credit system in which only those with the “correct” views are allowed to fully participate in society.”

Ron DeSantis Just Parroted the Democrat Line on Jan 6.

On the day President Trump announced he received a target letter from Biden prosecutor Jack Smith pertaining to the events of January 6th 2021, his Republican primary competitor Ron DeSantis was heard to echo the establishment line on the incident.

“For example, I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on,” DeSantis said directly echoing the Democrat-led January 6th Committee line. He added that Trump “should have come out more forcefully,” before going on to accept that “to try to criminalize that [is] a different issue entirely,” and that having a situation where “one side [is] just constantly trying to put the other side in jail” is wrong.

Contrary to DeSantis’s claims, Trump issued a video statement on Twitter during the disorder, urging protesters: “[Y]ou have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order.”

Twitter took down the video and permanently suspended Trump’s account. The video was not restored even after Elon Musk reinstated the account, though it can still be viewed in the Miller Center presidential archive.

BREAKING: Trump Gets ‘Target’ Letter Implying Arrest, Indictment Over Jan 6th.

Former President Donald J. Trump says he has received a “target” letter from Joe Biden’s Soros-linked special prosecutor – “Jack” Smith – implying that he will soon be arrested and indictment on charges related to the January 6th protest at the U.S. Capitol.

“WOW! On Sunday night, while I was with my family, having just arrived from the Turning Point event in Florida, where I won the Straw Poll against all other Republican candidates with 85.7%, with all polls showing me leading in the Republican Primary by very substantial numbers, almost everyone predicting that I will be the Republican Nominee for President, and as I am leading Democrat Joe Biden in the polls by a lot, HORRIFYING NEWS for our Country was given to me by my attorneys,” the 45th President began.

“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and indictment.

“So now, Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court (in retrospect, based on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision!), together with Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third Indictment and Arrest of Joe Biden’s NUMBER ONE POLITICAL OPPONENT, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency. Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before, or even close. They illegally spied on my Campaign, attacked me with a totally Fake “Dossier” that was funded by Hillary Clinton’s Campaign and the DNC, Impeached me twice (I won!), they failed on the Mueller Witch Hunt (No Collusion!), they failed on the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, the 51 Intelligence Agents fraud, the FBI/Twitter files, the DOJ/Facebook censorship, and every other scam imaginable.

“But on top of all of that, they have now effectively indicted me three times (the DOJ staffed and runs the D.A’s Office in Manhattan), with a probable fourth coming from Atlanta, where the DOJ are in strict, and possibly illegal, coordination with the District Attorney, whose record on murder and other violent crime is abysmal. THIS WITCH HUNT IS ALL ABOUT ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND A COMPLETE AND TOTAL POLITICAL WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT! It is a very sad and dark period for our Nation!”

The National Pulse revealed in June that prosecutor Jack Smith no longer even resides in the United States, and is married to a woman who made a hagiographic documentary about Michelle Obama.

WATCH: Bannon Declares Crusade Against Deep State.

Former Trump Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon has declared a “holy war” against the “deep state” apparatus in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election, demanding that Americans become serious about taking the country back, and blasting ‘RINO’ Republicans for trying to stand in the way of President Donald Trump’s route back to the Oval Office.

The former Breitbart Executive Chairman turned host of the War Room, told the audience at the Turning Point USA Action Conference in Florida that Americans have to focus on the “election apparatuses” in the key states of Wisconsin, Georgia, and Arizona and to get behind the 45th President.

“This is a crusade: this is a holy war against the deep state. Donald Trump is our instrument for retribution… Donald Trump is our instrument for righteous indignation,” Bannon told the cheering audience, channeling the late Andrew Breitbart.

Bannon added he no longer wants to hear from RINOs such as Governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin, or Governor of Georgia Brian Kemp after rumors circulated about both potentially entering the Republican primary.

Hunter’s Lawyers Tell Trump to Leave Him Alone… Or Else!

Hunter Biden lawyer Abbe Lowell has written to former President Donald Trump’s lawyers warning of “more legal trouble” if he does not leave Hunter alone.

“[Y]ou should make clear to Mr. Trump – if you have not done so already – that Mr. Trump’s words have caused harm in the past and threaten to do so again if he does not stop,” Lowell wrote, adding that Trump should be told “his incitement can further hurt people and cause himself even more legal trouble.”

Hunter’s lawyer appeared to take particular issue with Trump’s recent commentary on cocaine being found at the White House. The former president has suggested the narcotics belonged to Hunter, a supposedly recovering drug addict discharged from the military for cocaine abuse, and joked that the First Son intended to “feed a little bit to his father to give him energy.”

“You know, if Mr. Trump does not, that Mr. Biden has neither committed nor been accused of the charges that your client is claiming… and that the Biden family was not at the White House (let alone in the vestibule) in the period when the cocaine was found,” Lowell insisted.

Trump Blasts Biden’s Move to Ready Reservists for Ukraine.

Former President Donald Trump has slammed President Joe Biden for his executive order readying 3,000 U.S. army reservists in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, which “provides rotational deployments of combat-credible forces to Europe” related to the 2014 Russia invasion of Crimea.

Trump insisted that Biden’s order “proves that his reckless escalation in Ukraine is straining the U.S. military to the point of disaster.”

The 45th President added: “Just last week, Biden shockingly admitted that our arsenals are so badly depleted that the United States is running out of ammunition. Now, we see the ranks are growing so thin that reserve troops are being forced to support Biden’s calamitous policy in Europe, while our own borders remain undefended.”

“Joe Biden can’t even walk up the steps of Air Force One without tripping. The last thing this incompetent administration should be doing is pushing us further toward World War Three.”

– Donald J. Trump, July 2023

“Yet Biden has proclaimed that he will continue sending American treasure and weaponry to fuel endless war in Ukraine for “as long as it takes.” When I am reelected, it will take 24 hours. This conflict must end. Not one American mother or father wants to send their child to die in Eastern Europe. We must have PEACE.

“As President, I will AGAIN rebuild America’s military and restore the readiness and deterrence that Joe Biden has so dangerously squandered, and I will return to a foreign policy that puts AMERICA FIRST, so that we can once again have PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH.”

‘I’d Kick Trump’s Ass in the Octagon’ Claims Chris Christie.

Chris Christie says he could beat up former President Donald Trump.

“The guy’s 78 years old, I’d kick his ass,” claimed Christie, who is 60 and morbidly obese, in an interview with Piers Morgan. The former president is actually 77.

Christie, who is limping along at statistically zero for the Republican presidential nomination, said he would “fight Donald Trump anywhere he wants, in any arena he wants, whether it’s on a debate stage or in the Octagon.”

The former Governor of New Jersey also complained about Trump making fun of his size, admitting he had “struggled with [his] weight” for 30 years and saying Trump was “a child, an infant [to] make those kind of remarks” – then making jabs of his own at Trump’s physique.

While many of those challenging Trump for the Republican nomination are presenting themselves as MAGA alternatives, Christie has presented himself as explicitly anti-Trump. Bill Kristol, a fellow RINO, has even urged Christie to endorse Biden over Trump.

Election Prof: Trump Is ‘New Mainstream’ in GOP, No One Can Beat Him.

Allan Lichtman – famous for correctly predicting the outcome of every U.S. presidential election since 1984 (barring 2000) – says Donald Trump is now the mainstream in the Republican Party, and no other GOP presidential hopeful stands a chance of winning the party’s nomination.

The American University professor, himself a fierce critic of Trump, said ex-MAGA rival Ron DeSantis was an “abysmal candidate” who lacks Trump’s appeal and personal charm.

Lichtman was clear that other candidates, sometimes described as standard-bearers of the “Republican mainstream”, had no chance – and were no longer the mainstream. “Here’s another mistake that all the commentators make… They pose Donald Trump against the so-called ‘Republican mainstream’,” he explained.

“[S]upposedly Chris Christie is a ‘mainstream Republican’, right? Wrong! Donald Trump is the mainstream,” he continued, adding that Trump “is the new mainstream.”

The historian’s assessment echoes Trump’s own comments that the GOP is “never going back to the party of Paul Ryan, Karl Rove and Jeb Bush.”

Lichtman said “the only way a DeSantis or a [Mike] Pence or a Tim Scott could possibly become the Republican nominee” is if the Republican National Committee (RNC) somehow strips Trump of the nomination, possibly following federal convictions. He noted that there is no legal bar to Trump running for the presidency however, even from behind bars.
