Trump: ‘No Room’ for Canada, Mexico to Avoid Tariffs Tomorrow.

President Donald J. Trump announced on Monday that tariffs on Canada and Mexico are set to be implemented starting Tuesday, with “no room” left for a last-minute agreement to be reached before the midnight deadline. The 25 percent tariffs, previously delayed from early February, were rescheduled following attempts by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to address U.S. concerns by increasing border security efforts.

During a press briefing, reporters inquired about the likelihood of negotiating a deal to prevent the tariffs. Trump stated, “No room left for Mexico or for Canada. No. The tariffs, you know, they’re all set. They go into effect tomorrow.” He added, “And just so you understand, vast amounts of fentanyl have poured into our country from Mexico,” with China and Canada also playing a role in the crisis.

The tariffs will target various goods, including avocados, beer, and vehicles from Mexico, as well as crude oil, lumber, and car parts from Canada. These actions are part of Trump’s strategy to repatriate manufacturing and job opportunities to the United States, suggesting companies should localize production to avoid tariffs. One such shift includes Honda’s decision to manufacture its next-generation Civic hybrid in Indiana instead of Mexico.

With respect to China, Trump plans to increase tariffs on China by an additional 10 percent, coming off a separate 10 percent duty imposed on Chinese imports in February.

Following discussions with Trump’s border czar Tom Homan, Canadian officials expressed frustration with U.S. expectations. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has acknowledged progress on border security since the previous tariff deadline extension, granted in response to undertakings by the Mexican and Canadian governments to increase border policing. However, he noted insufficient action on fentanyl.

Both nations have retaliated with tariffs on American products.

Trans Airmen, Space Force Personnel Face March Deadline to Voluntarily Leave the Military.

The United States Department of Defense (DoD) is pushing transgender personnel in the Air Force and Space Force to voluntarily exit by the month’s end, citing incompatibility with the required mental and physical standards for military service. Details of the directive, issued as a memorandum by Acting Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Gwendolyn R. DeFilippi, were publicly revealed in a legal filing in a federal court. President Donald J. Trump’s administration is currently being sued by several far-left litigation groups, including GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD Law) and the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

“Service members eligible for voluntary separation pay will be paid at a rate that is twice the amount for which the service member would have been eligible under involuntary separation pay,” the DoD memo states, emphasizing transgender individuals are required to adhere to regulations consistent with their biological sex immediately. However, Jennifer Levi, an attorney with GLAD Law, argued on Monday that the directive is clear evidence of an ideological purge being enacted on the U.S. military.

“The Air Force memo is consistent with this purge of highly accomplished, dedicated transgender service members,” Levi said, adding: “It is shameful. The memo also demonstrates the chaos and havoc being wreaked by this administration in ways that undermine our national security.”

Despite the purge allegations, the DoD memo notes that hormone treatments will continue to be accessible for military personnel who were diagnosed prior to a notice issued by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last week indicating he would soon move to enforce President Trump’s executive order barring federal funds from being used to pay for sex reassignment procedures and hormone treatments. Access to the treatments will end once the individual’s separation from the military is finalized.

Monsanto Spends at State Level to Sidestep MAHA.

The German-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology giant Bayer AG has ramped up its political spending at the state level in the United States—especially in Missouri—as it continues to fight thousands of lawsuits stemming from its acquisition of the infamous American biochemical company Monsanto. When Bayer AG bought Monsanto in 2018 and folded the company into its crop science division, officially dissolving Monsanto as a corporate entity, it also assumed the American company’s legal liabilities. Monsanto has faced ongoing lawsuits since 2015 that allege its popular herbicide Roundup’s primary active ingredient, glyphosate, is a dangerous carcinogen and that the company failed to adequately warn consumers.

Missouri has especially become a concerning litigation hotspot for Bayer AG, with an estimated 25,000 lawsuits currently pending in the state’s Cole County alone. The evidentiary discovery process in one of those Cole County lawsuits has revealed an aggressive media campaign being run by alleged agricultural industry advocacy groups—pushing for changes in state law that would be more legally favorable to the German company—are essentially political fronts funded by Bayer AG.

Since this past November, Modern Ag Alliance—one of the agricultural industry advocacy groups backed with money from Bayer AG—has spent over $100,000 on a radio advertising campaign in and around Missouri’s state capital, Jefferson City, claiming glyphosate is not harmful and critical to the American farming industry. The money appears to have been well spent, as controversial legislation shielding Bayer AG from most of the current Monsanto Roundup litigation narrowly passed in the Missouri House of Representatives last month. However, the bill faces increasing opposition in the State Senate from Republican and Democrat lawmakers who contend it is a dubious effort to shield Bayer AG from being sued over their legal liability regarding the once popular herbicide.

Sponsored by State Representative Dane Diehl (R), the legislation would mandate that the federal warning label that the EPA requires to be visible on Roundup is sufficient to comply with Missouri state law. If adopted by the state senate and signed by the governor, the measure would likely end most of the pending litigation against Bayer AG in the state. Notably, Bayer AG set aside $16 billion after purchasing Monsanto to cover any legal damages stemming from the Roundup lawsuits. The German company has already paid $10 billion in damages and settlements from the $16 billion fund.

Meanwhile, some Missouri lawmakers also see the legislation and the Bayer AG-backed media campaign as part of an effort to sideline any pushback from President Donald J. Trump’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, which is led by Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert. F. Kennedy Jr.

“I strongly believe we shouldn’t be granting major corporations special exemptions from the law,” State Rep. Mazzie Christensen (R) said in a statement sent to The National Pulse. She continued: “This reminds me of the federal PREP Act, related to COVID-19 vaccines, which granted legal immunity to manufacturers, distributors, and administrators, leaving most lawsuits against vaccine manufacturers off the table. The Republican lawmaker notes that many countries around the world are moving to either limit or ban the use of glyphosate-based herbicides, including Roundup.

Rep. Christensen added: “These companies also attempt to invoke government contractor immunity in their defense.”

Trump Warns Zelensky ‘America Will Not Put Up With It for Much Longer’ After ‘Worst Statement’ on Making Peace.

President Donald J. Trump has intervened strongly after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested an end to the war with Russia is still “very, very far away.”

“This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy, and America will not put up with it for much longer!” Trump warned in a post shared to his Truth Social platform. “It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy, stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the U.S.,” he added.

“Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?”

Zelensky made his statement—in which he also discussed U.S. backing for a European “contingent” in Ukraine, possibly including U.S. “air defense,” “intelligence,” and “security in the sky”—while meeting with European leaders, who are offering him diplomatic and emotional support following a fractious meeting with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance at the White House last week.

Following the row, President Trump suggested Zelensky was declining to make serious steps towards making peace because he feels empowered by his U.S. backing—and that, consequently, this backing may be withdrawn.

Among the European leaders backing Zelensky, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has already committed to British “boots on the ground and planes in the air”—although he is also counting on U.S. backing to make this possible, with decades of neglect leaving the British armed forces small and short of supplies.

Warmonger John Bolton Urges Sec. of State Rubio to Resign in Solidarity with Zelensky.

Former White House National Security Advisor and increasingly unhinged neoconservative ideologue John Bolton says U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio should resign his appointment following Friday’s contentious Oval Office meeting between President Donald J. Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the meeting, which was open to members of the press, Zelenksy became angry and irate with U.S. President J.D. Vance, causing Trump to intervene.

Shortly after the diplomatic row, Bolton appeared on MSNBC, telling host Nicole Wallace he thinks Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz should resign from their roles in the Trump White House. Bolton—an extreme foreign policy hawk and ardent supporter of U.S. military intervention in a concerning number of other countries—dubiously argued that both men’s credibility could suffer if they remain associated with Trump.

“This is really the time to do it,” Bolton said, insisting both Rubio and Walz should step down. He continued: “If they don’t get out now, I think their reputations will suffer for a long, long time, and that would be sad because their record in believing in a strong American national security policy is very good up until now.”

The National Pulse reported on Friday, following Zelensky’s White House outburst, that President Trump warned, “President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE.”

Meanwhile, Sec. Rubio was quick to defend both Trump and Vance after the White House meeting. “That wasn’t supposed to be this way, but that’s the path he chose, and I think, frankly, sends his country backwards in regards to achieving peace, which is what President Trump wants at the end of the day,” he said during an interview,  arguing Zelensky should apologize for “turning this thing into the fiasco.”

UK Prime Minister Promises ‘Boots on the Ground’ in Ukraine—But Wants U.S. Backing.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer unveiled a tentative framework for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia on Sunday. He committed to British “boots on the ground”—but emphasized the necessity of American backing. In a concession to U.S. President Donald J. Trump, he admitted that European nations must “step up their share of the burden” in terms of providing military-backed security guarantees.

“We are at a crossroads in history today,” Starmer said. “This is not a moment for more talk. It’s time to act. Time to step up and lead and to unite around a new plan for a just and enduring peace. We have to learn from the mistakes of the past, we cannot accept a weak deal which Russia can breach with ease, instead any deal must be backed by strength.”

The British leader added that the United Kingdom would commit to a security guarantee for Ukraine and pledged to provide “boots on the ground and planes in the air.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who joined Prime Minister Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, has repeatedly insisted that any peace plan must include some form of defensive guarantee for his country against future Russian aggression.

The issue of U.S. military-backed security guarantees set off a tense exchange between Zelensky and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and President Trump during a White House press event last Friday. The heated row scuttled a planned signing of a rare earth minerals deal between the U.S. and Ukraine.

Lowest Border Numbers in Recorded History.

President Donald J. Trump took a much-deserved victory lap over the weekend after illegal border crossings dropped to their lowest number on record in February, the first full month of his second term in office.

The details: Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released figures for February 2025 showing just 8,326 people tried to illegally cross the southern border.

Back up: Under Joe Biden, border apprehensions peaked in September 2023 at 269,735—8,991 per day.

Yes, you read that right. Under Joe Biden, we had more illegals coming to the country in a single day than Trump had in the entire month of February.

Trump reacts: The 47th president wrote on Truth Social: “The Invasion of our Country is OVER… Anyone who tries to illegally enter the U.S.A. will face significant criminal penalties and immediate deportation.”

The Trump effect: Droves of would-be illegal aliens are reportedly turning around and going home after learning of dramatically ramped-up border enforcement and the canceling of generous government handouts.

Deportations: Between January 21 and February 27, the Trump administration removed 55,000 illegal aliens from the U.S, according to DHS.

Debunking a Democrat talking point: The left claims deportations were lower under Trump, which is technically true — there were 67,700 removals per month in 2024. But here’s the catch:

  • Under Biden, most “removals” were just turning people away at the border, not ICE deportations from within the U.S.
  • Biden saw 200,000 illegal crossings per month—Trump had just 8,000.
  • With fewer illegal crossings under Trump, there were simply fewer people to remove.

Big picture: It took Trump one month to solve a problem that Joe Biden and Democrats refused to address in four years.

Trump Administration Surpasses 50,000 Migrant Removals, Targets Fugitives.

The Trump administration has removed over 50,000 illegal immigrants so far, according to officials with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). A number of those deported are long-standing fugitives who have avoided removal proceedings, in some instances for decades.

Ivan Oramas, 61, and Santos Maradiaga-Villalta, 40, both of whom had standing deportation orders dating back more than 20 years, are among those who have been detained and removed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Oramas, a Cuban national, was ordered deported in October 2003. He has convictions for sexual battery and aggravated assault, with the sexual battery charge involving severe injury. ICE agents in Houston apprehended him this week.

Meanwhile, Maradiaga-Villalta, from Honduras, was arrested in Phoenix. His deportation order was issued in January 2006, and he has previous convictions for smuggling aliens into the United States.

Notably, of the 50,000 illegal immigrants apprehended since President Donald J. Trump‘s inauguration on January 20, 2025, around 20,000 are said to be fugitives who have standing deportation orders. In the final year of the previous Biden government, at large illegal immigrant arrests totalled just 33,000 for the entire year.

DHS also notes that border encounters have plummeted from around 15,000 per day under Biden to just 200 under President Trump. The current rate of daily encounters is at a 15-year-low.

In his first week in office, President Trump surged resources—including military personnel—to the U.S. southern border to prevent continued illegal crossings. The measures have helped drastically reduce the number of illegal immigrants attempting to enter the country unlawfully.

Sen. Graham Urges Zelensky to Resign or Change Following Tense Trump Meeting.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)—an outspoken war hawk and supporter of Ukraine—says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky either needs to resign or change his behavior if he wants further assistance from President Donald J. Trump. The South Carolina Republican’s comments come shortly after the Ukrainian leader instigated a tense exchange with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance during a public meeting in the Oval Office on Friday as the leaders sought to finalize a deal over rare earth minerals.

“So, what I think? Complete, utter disaster,” Sen. Graham said after leaving the White House. “At the end of the day, I was hoping that this minerals deal—which would be transformative in the relationship—would go over well. I talked to Zelensky this morning, ‘Don’t take the bait.’ President Trump was in a very good mood last night. Somebody asked me, am I embarrassed about Trump? I have never been more proud of the President. I was very proud of J.D. Vance for standing up for our country.”

“What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful and I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelensky again,” the South Carolina Senator stated bluntly. “He either needs to resign and send somebody over that we can do business with, or he needs to change.”

Zelensky snapped at Vice President Vance after the latter suggested Ukraine needed to redouble its diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire with Russia, prompting President Trump to intervene and chastise the Ukrainian leader’s “very disrespectful” behavior. Following the meeting, President Trump issued a statement, declaring: “President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved.”

Trump Reveals Biden Believes Obama & Pelosi Engineered His Exit from the 2024 Presidential Race.

President Donald J. Trump disclosed a conversation he had with his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, in which the octagenarian Democrat allegedly pointed fingers at former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as being responsible for his removal from the Democratic ticket during the 2024 election. The revelation came during a recent interview President Trump gave, stating that Biden relayed the details leading to his dropping out of the race during a post-election Oval Office meeting between the two.

According to President Trump, Biden—speaking softly at first—recalled some of the events that led to his exit from the presidential race, eventually becoming more emotive and blaming Obama and Pelosi for engineering it. When prompted by Trump about the role of former Vice President Kamala Harris, Biden reportedly did not attribute any responsibility to her.

“But I asked him, you know, I went to the White House a few months before this all happened… But I went there and he asked for a meeting, and I went and we talked for a little while… He talked so low,” President Trump said, adding: “And then he started getting more [emotive]. And I asked him, I said, ‘So who do you blame?’ Because he was very angry, you know, he was a very angry guy, actually. And he said, ‘I blame Barack.’ And I never think of him as ‘Barack.’ You know, you always hear ‘Obama.’ … And he said, ‘And I also blame Nancy Pelosi.’”

Both Obama and Pelosi are believed to have pressed White House aides close to Biden to pressure the 82-year-old Democrat to end his reelection bid following his disastrous June presidential debate performance.
