TX Gov. Abbott: 70,000 More Migrants Coming to DC, NYC, Chicago, More.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced plans to send nearly 70,000 migrants to Democrat-run ‘sanctuary cities’ across the United States as his state continues to bear the brunt of the crisis at the U.S. southern border. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gov. Abbott said his administration will send over 12,500 migrants to Washington, D.C., 25,000 to New York City, 20,000 to Chicago, 3,200 to Philadelphia, 7,400 to Denver, and 1,100 to Los Angeles. The Texas Governor warned President Joe Biden he will continue busing migrants out of Texas until the southern border is secured.

The National Pulse previously reported Texas had already bused 50,000 migrants to ‘sanctuary cities’ this past September as part of Gov. Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. Earlier this year, the Texas state government launched a portal where Americans can donate to fund the busing effort. As of May 11, 2023 nearly $500,000 in donations have been dedicated to what the Governor’s office calls “Border Transportation Funding.”

President Biden’s open border policies have played a significant role in driving his public approval ratings to record lows. Sixty-eight percent of respondents to a recent Morning Consult poll said they support increased funding for border protection. In terms of voters’ top issues going into the 2024 election, only the economy ranked higher than border security. Former President Donald Trump, who has promised to end the border crisis and remove those who came to America illegally, currently enjoys the largest general election poll lead his campaign has ever registered in three election cycles.

Cover-Up? Arizona Border Sector That Saw 15,300 Crossings in a Week Halts Updates.

An Arizona sector chief for U.S. Border Patrol announced his team would stop posting updates on the southern border to social media amid record-breaking crossings, prompting concerns the federal authorities may be attempting to limit information on the migrant crisis.

“In light of the ongoing migration surge, all Tucson Sector Border Patrol social media accounts will be paused until further notice,” said John Modlin, Chief Patrol Agent for the CBP Tucson Sector, on Sunday.

“We appreciate your understanding and continued support during this challenging time,” he added.

Not everyone expressed understanding of the move, however: “Just days [after] Border Patrol’s Tuscon sector reported having 15,300 illegal crossings last week (highest weekly total ever), Tucson sector BP says it’s pausing its social media until further notice due to “ongoing migration surge,” commented reporter Bill Melugin.

“Regardless of the reasoning behind this – this is such a bad look,” he continued, noting that media makes use of data and photographs uploaded to the Tuscon account regularly.

“Essentially – the border crisis in the sector is so bad that they’re going to cut off all communication and transparency with the public,” he added.

Huge Surge in ‘Asylum’-Demanding Migrants Entering U.S. from Canada.

The number of migrants crossing America’s northern border with Canada to claim asylum is increasing at an exponential rate, presenting a potentially dangerous backdoor into the country as resources are focused on the much larger migrant crisis on the southern border with Mexico.

At 5,525 miles, the U.S.-Canada border is even longer than the 1,954-mile U.S.-Mexico border, and extremely hard to police.

“It’s extremely dangerous with the cold weather, the cold water,” warned Brady Waikel, who leads the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) station in Niagara Falls, near the site of the Rainbow Bridge car explosion on November 22nd.

Robert García, who leads Border Patrol in the Swanton, Vermont sector, says his team has “exceeded 6,700 apprehensions in less than one year” – not comparable to the numbers crossing southern border sectors, but higher than in the last eleven years put together.

All told, the number of “encounters” along the Canadian frontier stands at 189,402 in the latest CBP figures for fiscal year 2023, with 10,021 arrests for illegal crossings. Mexican migrants accounted for 4,868 of these arrests – a big increase on the 882 Mexican migrant arrests in 2022.

As a Western welfare state not in a state of war or economic collapse, asylum seekers crossing into the U.S. from Canada are manifestly not genuine refugees. In fact, the Canadian authorities report 14,185 migrants crossed into Canada from the U.S. to claim asylum up to October, suggesting migrants crossing the northern border in both directions are simply “asylum shopping”.

WATCH: Chicago Builds Massive Migrant Camp, Tries To Hide It From Residents.

Construction is underway for a massive camp to house illegal-immigrants in Chicago, Illinois and city officials appear to be trying to hide the matter from local residents and news stations. Repurposing a parking-lot for a now-defunct Jewel-Osco grocery store, city work crews have reportedly been active at the site as late as 1am, according to locals. When Chicago area news crews arrived to shed light on what exactly city construction crews were up to, however, officials blocked views of the site with a water truck and canvas attached to fencing.

Located at 115th Street and Halsted Street on the edge of Chicago’s historic South Side, the immigrant camp has rankled residents in the predominantly black neighborhood. While construction moves forward, the site is currently undergoing environmental testing before the city will install winterized tents to house a portion of the over 12,000 illegal immigrants who have flooded the Windy City.

Local resident Annette Cain called the use of the Jewel-Osco site for an encampment a “disgrace”, adding: “Why would you put our taxpayer dollars on migrants and not on the people who’ve been living in this community for decades and for their children and their grandchildren.”

Alderman Mosley made it clear that locals are opposed to the construction of immigrant encampment stating: “Our community did not want this… because the site was there and available and because the owners of the site sold the property to the city that was really what allowed this to come here.”

Speaker Johnson Tells NYC to End ‘Sanctuary’ Policy If It Wants Migrant Money.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has indicated Democrats in New York City need to ditch their “sanctuary city” policies and end restrictions on local police cooperating with federal deportations if they want money to alleviate the city’s migrant crisis.

“The idea that you would maintain a sanctuary city status and then cry out to the federal government for assistance in what you’ve done is, to me, unconscionable,” Johnson said.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams cheered Joe Biden when he halted border wall construction in 2021, and had long claimed the Big Apple should be a “sanctuary” for illegal aliens – but his stance has shifted now conservative border states have begun busing migrants to him in large numbers.

Speaker Johnson also blamed the Biden regime for the crisis, noting that “in some ways, [they’re] not able to control what happens with the economy that they’ve created, but [they] could change the border policies overnight, and they are unwilling to do it.”

He singled out Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, in particular, as “one of the worst Cabinet secretaries in the history of the United States.”

Johnson said the border crisis was proving “terribly destructive” in a variety of ways, citing fentanyl trafficking as “an absolute catastrophe; the leading cause of death is overdoses for Americans aged 18-49” alongside human trafficking and other criminal activity “enriching the cartels.”

“It goes on and on and on. And all of that traces back to [Democrat] policy decisions.”

‘It’s The Border, Stupid!’ – Voters Rank U.S. Security Higher than All Foreign Conflicts.

Polling shows American voters value border security far more highly than the Ukrainian or even the Israeli war effort, with almost 70 percent of respondents to a Morning Consult survey saying they approve of more funding for the U.S.-Mexico border.

Sixty-eight percent of respondents backed more money for border protection, compared to 61 percent who backed aid for Israel and 58 percent who backed aid for Ukraine. In terms of voters’ top issues going into the 2024 election, only the economy ranked higher than border security, ranking number one for three times as many people as the Israel-Hamas war.

The Joe Biden regime has this exactly backwards, however, and is currently pushing Congress to approve a funding package worth well in excess of $100 billion that would give over $60 billion to Ukraine, over $14.3 billion to Israel, and just $13.6 billion to the border – and this would funding to provide accommodation and services to migrants, not just deterrent measures.

Morning Consult found Donald Trump is more trusted than Joe Biden to handle the Israel-Hamas War, the Russia-Ukraine War, U.S.-China relations, and especially immigration.

Illegal Migrants Caught ‘With Explosives’ Crossing Southern Border.

United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents have recently seized a number of illegal migrants carrying improvised explosives “tailor-made for terrorism” while attempting to cross the southern border.

Several Republican Senators, including John Barrasso (R-Wyo), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), John Cornyn (R-Texas), and Pete Ricketts (R-Neb), spoke openly at a press conference on Tuesday of the heightened risks of terrorism as a result of the unrelenting migrant influx as well as the frustration felt by Border Patrol agents, who argue they are powerless to stop it.

“We have just returned from our southern border, and it is painfully clear that with Joe Biden’s open border policy, our country is really at an increased threat for [sic] a terrorist attack,” said Senator Barrasso, who added the explosive devices brought into the country were the “size of cannonballs.”

Senator Ricketts highlighted how authorities at the border have caught 180 people on the U.S. terrorist watchlist attempting to enter the country over the past two years. “To put this into perspective, in years past, that number was single digits,” he said, “We’re opening ourselves up for a terrorist attack.”

More than 10 million illegal migrants have poured into the country under the Biden government, representing the highest number on record. The number of “gotaways” – those who evade Border Patrol upon entry – although impossible to know exactly is at least 600,000, per the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas.

Biden Govt Admits Over 600,000 Migrant ‘Gotaways’ Last Year.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has revealed more than 600,000 “gotaways” – migrants who evade the authorities after illegally entering the United States – were recorded at the southern border in fiscal year 2023.

Mayorkas was responding to an inquiry launched by Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) at a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, with the Secretary admitting the “phenomenon of gotaways has been a challenge for the Department of Homeland Security for decades.”

“In fact, it is a powerful example of a broken immigration system,” Mayorkas conceded.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) registered a record 2.4 million migrants in fiscal 2023, with September seeing the highest recorded monthly figure at over 269,000. Additionally, a record number of individuals on the terror watch list were detected at the southern border.

Over ten million illegal migrants have crossed the southern border under the Biden regime, once the total number of gotaways is included, representing the largest amount in U.S. history.

More than 900,000 migrants were released by the CBP just this year.

Chicago Approves Winterized Tent ‘Base Camp’ for 1,400 Migrants, Overriding Local Alderman.

Chicago City Council will establish a “base camp” for illegal aliens on the site of a derelict store and parking lot in Morgan Park. Comprised of tents hardened against the oncoming winter, the camp is being imposed on the area over the objections of local alderman David Moore, who was concerned by officials refusing to say how much the city would have to pay in property taxes for the site.

“For the migrant shelter, that is a dynamic that is one that some residents oppose. Some people are scared of what will happen,” conceded Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, the council’s floor leader.

Declared a “sanctuary city” by Mayor Brandon Johnson, Chicago is one of several Democrat-run cities where conservative-run border states – which never asked for the open borders policies the Joe Biden regime has imposed on them – have been busing migrants in large numbers.

The blue cities have been struggling to handle the new arrivals, who are often Venezuelan. Traditionally Democrat-voting groups have expressed their anger with the influx openly, with black Chicagoans telling city officials to “take them somewhere else or send them back to Venezuela” at public meetings, and Latinos chanting “we don’t want Venezuelans” in Spanish.

5,000+ Caravan of Venezuelan, Central American Migrants Begins March on U.S.

A new “caravan” of around 5,000 migrants, mostly Venezuelans and Central Americans, has begun advancing on the United States from Mexico, with marchers unwilling to wait to be issued so-called humanitarian visas.

Some Venezuelans in the caravan are not even pretending they are fleeing political persecution, still less war, telling Reuters they simply believe they will be able to get more money in the United States: “[T]he money we get, it’s not enough for us, and that’s why we’re going to the United States,” said one.

Venezuelans passed Mexicans as the number one group crossing America’s southern border illegally in September, perhaps encouraged by word President Joe Biden was moving to alleviate the cost burden they have been imposing on Democrat states like New York by awarding them work permits.

Existing illegal alien communities are becoming increasingly irate at the new arrivals, however, with protesters at a recent public meeting in Chicago chanting “No queremos venezolanos” (“We don’t want Venezuelans”) at city officials.

Cubans, El Salvadoreans, Guatemalans, Haitians, and Hondurans are also said to be well-represented in the caravan.
