NYC Mayor Eric Adams is Using AI Deepfakes of Himself Speaking Mandarin, Spanish to ‘Robocall’ Residents.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is facing criticism for having his team create audio “deepfakes” of himself speaking Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Spanish, and even Yiddish in order to spam four million residents with “robocalls” in multiple languages.

Adams, who admits the only thing he can really say in Mandarin is “ni hao” (hello), claims his administration is “becoming more welcoming by using technology to speak a multitude of languages.”

Albert Fox Cahn of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, however, says the scheme is a “creepy vanity project” and “deeply unethical”, not least because the robocalls do not inform residents they are listening to an AI-generated facsimile of Adams, and not the real Mayor.

“Using AI to convince New Yorkers that he speaks languages that he doesn’t is deeply Orwellian,” Cahn said.

Adams, a Democrat who has opposed Donald Trump’s border wall and supported sanctuary city policies, is already facing criticism not just for his role in fomenting the ongoing migrant crisis in the Big Apple, but for admitting it “will destroy” the city if it continues – angering open borders diehards.

bused migrants

Texas Has Now Bused 50,000 Migrants to Leftist Cities.

Texas has now bused some 50,000 migrants from its territory to leftist “sanctuary cities” out of state, sparking outcry from mass migration advocates who imagined the border crisis would only be an issue for conservative-led border states.

New York City is currently the top destination for the Texan busing program, with some 18,500 migrants on almost 400 buses having arrived in the Big Apple since August 2022.

Democrat city mayor Eric Adams, who once advertised NYC as a “sanctuary city” and celebrated Joe Biden’s move to halt construction of Donald Trump’s border wall in 2021, now says he believes the migrant crisis “will destroy New York City.”

Chicago has received the second-largest number of migrants from Texas, at over 13,500 on almost 300 buses, while Washington D.C. has been sent over 12,500.

Denver, Colorado, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have received around 3,200 migrants apiece, while Los Angeles, which was added as a destination comparatively recently, has received just shy of a thousand.

Mayor Admas is not the only Democrat leader in the affected cities and states to be crying out now the border crisis is on his doorstep, with Illinois’s Governor J.B. Pritzker also complaining “the federal government’s lack of intervention and coordination at the border has created an untenable situation for Illinois.”

For all the furore about the busing program in Democrat cities, however, they are still dealing with only a fraction of the influx being inflicted on conservative-led border states, with a record-breaking 11,000 migrants crossing over in a single day in late Septemeber.

trump wall

41% Percent of New Yorkers Now Want Trump’s Border Wall.

The number of New Yorkers who want to complete Donald Trump’s southern border wall has risen to 41 percent as a migrant crisis grips the Empire State, with over 110,000 illegal aliens having flooded New York City alone.

The percentage of New Yorkers who now favor a border wall is almost as high in New York City as it is across the state, at 38 percent, despite its large immigrant and immigrant-descended population. Over a third of Latinos in the city support a wall, at 35 percent.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams has said the migrant crisis represents an unprecedented threat: “Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this,” he said, warning that the influx “will destroy” the metropolis if it continues.

Previously, when the migrant crisis was mostly far away in conservative border states, Adams had championed the Big Apple as a “sanctuary city,” and cheered on Joe Biden when he halted border wall construction in 2021.

Giuliani Left Memorial Early, Protesting Kamala Harris’s 9/11 ‘Insult’.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani left the 9/11 memorial ceremony early on Monday, protesting the presence of Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. Giuliani is credited with his steadfast leadership of the city during the deadly and horrific terrorist attacks 22 years ago.

In an interview with Newsmax host Greg Kelly, Giuliani expressed his concerns about the current state of national security, saying that he believes the country is in more danger under President Joe Biden’s government than it was before 9/11.

Giuliani specifically criticized Harris and Mayorkas, citing the unchecked flow of undocumented immigrants crossing the border without the government having proper knowledge of their identities. He also condemned Harris for comparing the January 6 Capitol riots to the 9/11 attacks and the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, which he described as an “unbelievable insult” to the victims of these tragedies.

Giuliani, who was mayor of New York City during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, expressed his frustration with the Democrats’ characterization of the Capitol riots and highlighted the significant loss of life and ongoing health consequences resulting from the horrific attacks on 9/11. He disputed the claim that the Capitol riots were an insurrection and emphasized that no one has been convicted of such a charge.

Mayor of ‘Sanctuary’ New York Now Says Migrants ‘Will Destroy’ City.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who promoted open borders and styled NYC as a “sanctuary city” for years, now says mass migration is poised to “destroy” the Big Apple as it struggles with an influx of over 110,000 illegal aliens.

“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this,” Adams warned.

“This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City,” he stressed. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month…  people from all over the globe have made their minds up that they’re going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City,” the Democrat complained – despite having hailed Joe Biden’s decision to “halt border wall construction” as a great achievement in 2021.

Now, Adams complains the Biden regime is not doing enough to alleviate NYC’s migrant crisis. Other senior Democrats seem equally reluctant to lend a hand, with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy – who previously declared NJ would be a “sanctuary state” under his leadership – urging Biden not to send any NYC migrants to federal sites on his turf.

“I don’t see any scenario where we’re going to be able to take in a program in Atlantic City or frankly elsewhere in the state,” Murphy insisted earlier this month.

Despite these complaints from Adams and Murphy, border states with conservative electorates who never supported the Democrats’ mass migration policies continue to bear the brunt of the crisis.

Could Staten Island Secede from NYC to Escape Mayor’s Migrant Crisis?

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis is pressing New York City Mayor Eric Adams to allow Staten Island to secede, as it seeks to escape having migrant camps and shelters established on its territory by the Democrat.

Adams, who previously styled NYC as a “sanctuary city”, is now struggling to deal with an influx of well over 100,000 migrants, and is demanding conservative-led border states to stop helping migrants to travel to his jurisdiction. He has also asked President Joe Biden to redistribute his migrants to areas locations under federal control elsewhere in the U.S., but is establishing tent cities and other makeshift accommodation sites to host them in NYC in the meantime.

Staten Islanders, who tend to vote Republican, are unhappy at having such sites forced on them, however, with Malliotakis declaring: “If you’re not going to do your job, Mayor, then let Staten Island secede.”

Elaborating on her proposal during a television appearance, she said she believes Staten Island, which is home to a larger population than U.S. cities such as Miami, “would like to have an opportunity to self-govern.”

She accepts that the “reality is the city council and the state legislature would need to let Staten Island go,” however.

A 1993, non-binding vote resulted in 65 percent of Staten Islanders wanting to break ties with New York City. Recently, Councilman Joe Borelli announced a new possible slogan for the district: “nonsicut tu quoque,” which translates from Latin into: “we don’t like you either.”

drones

NY Deploys Drones to Spy on Private Labor Day Parties.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) will be flying drones over people’s homes to spy on private parties this Labor Day weekend, Assistant Commissioner Kaz Daughtry has warned.

“If a caller states there’s a large crowd, a large party in a backyard, we’re going to be utilizing our assets to go up and go check on the party,” Daughtry said.

The New York Civil Liberties Union has denounced the use of drones against the public in this way as “sci-fi inspired” and a possible violation of the Public Oversight of Surveillance Technology (POST) Act.

Albert Fox Cahn, executive director of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (STOP), has also raised concerns, highlighting “how few protections we have against seeing these cameras aimed at our backyards or even our bedrooms.”

Democrat city mayor Eric Adams hailed the “endless” potential of drones in NYC after a visit to Israel, which is in a constant state of low-level civil conflict with much of the population under its control.

nyc call to prayer

NYC Mosques Can Now Blare Islamic Call to Prayer Over Loudspeakers.

The Islamic call to prayer, or Adhan, can now be blasted across New York City without regard to neighborhood noise restrictions on Fridays, following guideline changes introduced by Democrat city mayor Eric Adams.

“Something that I heard when I visited Morocco, when I visited Saudi Arabia, when I visited Oman, when I visited Jordan, when I visited so many Arab and Muslim countries, I heard the call of prayer. ,” said Mayor Eric Adams, currently presiding over an unprecedented migrant crisis in his “sanctuary city”.

“[T]his city is going to join a rich tradition, cultural, and faith belief… to my Muslim brothers and sisters that are here, as-salamu alaykum,” he continued, promising his audience they would no longer “have to apply for a permit to amplify your call to Friday prayer. You are free to live your faith in NYC.”

NYC Considers 2,000-Strong Migrant Tent City Near Riker’s Island.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams will establish a tent city on Randall’s Island in the middle of the East River of Manhattan, in an attempt to accommodate (and isolate) some of the illegal migrants now pouring into his “sanctuary city”. The news comes a week after the idea of a modern day “Hooverville” in Central Park received pushback.

“As the number of asylum seekers in our care continues to grow by hundreds every day, stretching our system to its breaking point and beyond, it has become more and more of a Herculean effort to find enough beds every night,” complained Adams, who was a strong supporter of mass migration until illegal aliens began moving from conservative-voting border states to his own backyard.

The city is finding it increasingly difficult (and expensive) to host migrants in hotels, and has resorted to using unusual facilities including a cruise ship terminal, an old police academy, and even the parking lot of a psychiatric hospital to accommodate them.

The East River tent city is intended to play host to around 2,000 migrants – but over 57,000 have arrived in New York City in 2023 alone.

From Sanctuary City to a New ‘Hooverville’: NYC Looks to House Migrants in Central Park.

New York City may house the nearly 100,000 migrants that have flocked to the city under Joe Biden’s presidency in Central Park, with Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services Anne Williams-Isom declaring, “Everything is on the table.”

New York City, Washington, D.C., and Martha’s Vineyard have seen an influx of migrants that have crossed the southern border of the United States from Mexico over the past year. In a move to protest the Biden regime’s lack of action in security, Florida and Texas both sent a number of migrants via plane and bus to serval self-declared “sanctuary cities” over the past year.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams addressed the migrant crisis at a news conference, accepting, “It’s not going to get any better… From this moment on, it’s downhill. There is no more room.”

Mr. Adams said that he wanted to “localize this madness” so that people sleeping outdoors were contained to certain parts of the city, without identifying potential locations or making it clear if people would be sleeping on sidewalks, in tents, or other forms of housing.

“Our next phase of the strategy now that we have run out of room, we have to figure out how we’re going to localize the inevitable that there’s no more room indoors,” he said at an unrelated news conference on public safety.

Tent cities in NYC’s Central Park aren’t without precedent. During the Great Depression a large shanty town, called a “Hooverville” after President Herbert Hoover, sprung up in Central Park. With New York City unable to uphold its “sanctuary city” promise, it appears a new Hooverville may be in the city’s future.
