Wreckage from a crane ablaze plummeted into the street in Hell’s Kitchen on the Westside of Manhattan, NY early Wednesday morning. The incident is said to have caused multiple injuries.
Dramatic video shows the boom of the crane collapse as the cabin burns, smashing into nearby high-rises before coming completely loose and plunging into the street below.
Reports indicate that a fireman and four civilians were hurt, but that their injuries are non-life-threatening.
The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) were saying they were still “operating at a crane collapse and fire at 550 Tenth Avenue in Manhattan” as of the time of publication, advising New Yorkers to avoid the area.

New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams claims he has “no more room” to accommodate migrants after they cross the southern border, despite having vowed to maintain the Big Apple’s status as a so-called “sanctuary city”.
With border crossings near record levels, conservative-led frontier states which never supported the open borders politics of Democrats like Adams have been helping migrants to head north to cities like New York, many of which had declared themselves migrant “sanctuaries” to signal opposition to the pro-borders politics of Donald Trump and other conservative leaders.
As the border crisis has come home to roost, however, New Yorkers have become less enthusiastic about uncontrolled immigration, and Mayor Adams has begun distributing fliers to border crossers warning there is now “no guarantee” they will receive assistance in his city, particularly when it comes to housing:
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) warned in late 2020 that the New York sanctuary city policy was increasing pressure on its officers in the Empire State, with enforcement actions uncovering aliens from Peru to Pakistan wanted for charges including assault, sexual assault against a child, lewd and lascivious acts upon a child, rape, and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
“It’s frightening that New York City politicians created laws that force local law enforcement agencies to release dangerous criminals back into the community despite the seriousness of their crimes,” commented ICE field office director Thomas Decker at the time.
"We should protect our immigrants." Period.
Yes, New York City will remain a sanctuary city under an Adams administration. #EricOnNBC

New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams used city resources to forge a picture of a slain police officer he claimed he carried in his wallet for decades. Sources inside NY City Hall say the Democrat, who was asked to produce the photograph by the media days after he mentioned it at a press conference, had staff print out a black and white photo of Officer Robert Venable found on Google, then artificially age it by crumpling it up and even splashing coffee on it.
By its own admission, the Mayor’s office “wasted an inordinate amount of time” contacting family members and former colleagues of Venable to try and substantiate his claims of a close friendship with the late policeman after the story broke, complaining he was the victim of a “campaign to paint [him] as a liar.”
Mayor Adams has been caught stretching the truth before, however. During the 2021 mayoral campaign he claimed he had transferred ownership of a Brooklyn apartment to someone else in 2007, producing a letter that was not notarized and bore only his signature as “proof”. This year he filed disclosure forms showing he still owns it.
Adams does not take criticism well, recently exploding at an 84-year-old Holocaust survivor who accused him of raising rents in the city. Adams claimed the old lady was treating him like a plantation slave, and demanded she “give me the respect I deserve”.

Posters threatening that those who do not “respect trans people” will end up with the pronouns “was/were” have sprung up on the New York City Subway.
The posters are part of the Pride Train campaign first launched in 2017 in response to then-President Donald Trump promoting Pride Month with insufficient vigor, and are being promoted openly on the campaign’s Instagram.
Designed to look like service information posters, they warn passengers: “No bigotry, hatred, or prejudice allowed at this station at any time,” accompanied by messages such as “Travel alternative: Let go or get dragged,” “No TERFs allowed on our turf”, “Check your lipstick before you come for us,” and “Respect trans people, or your pronouns will be was/were.”
Bizarrely, the group has also used the Chinese flag, a symbol of the nation but also the Chinese Communist Party.
The Metropolitan Transport Authority is promoting “the importance of Pride and its message of diversity and inclusion across the transit system” with “Pride posters on display, trains decorated with Pride-themed decals, commemorative Pride MetroCards… and special Pride-themed public events,” but the Pride Train posters are reportedly “unofficial,” despite having MTA branding.
