NYC’s Mamdani Bragged About Channeling Public Funds to Illegals.

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: A resurfaced interview revealed the Democrats’ candidate for New York City mayor, Uganda-born Zohran Mamdani, touting taxpayer-funded unemployment benefits for illegal immigrants as one of his “greatest victories.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Zohran Mamdani, New Yorkers, and illegal immigrants.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The comments were made in a June 2021 interview with SAAG Interactive in Mamdani’s capacity as an assemblyman.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “What this fund would do is provide some modicum of relief [to illegals]. And this fund was won in many ways because of the pressure brought by [illegals] that the state doesn’t even recognize, the state does not even see,” Mamdani said.

🎯IMPACT: Mamdani’s pro-illegal immigrant stance has drawn criticism from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and highlights his broader platform of supporting illegal immigrants, including expanding sanctuary city policies.

IN FULL

Democratic candidate for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani described securing taxpayer funding for unemployment benefits for illegal immigrants as one of his “greatest victories” during a 2021 interview with SAAG Interactive. The fund, known as the Excluded Workers Fund, was created for illegal alien workers who were ineligible for federal and state unemployment benefits.

“When I think of the greatest victories in Albany this year, I think the excluded workers fund,” the Uganda-born assemblyman said. He continued, “And what this fund would do is provide some modicum of relief. And this fund was won in many ways because of the pressure brought by those that the state doesn’t even recognize, the state does not even see.”

“Without the pressure from those individuals, members of the state would never have taken this action because nothing happens because of benevolence, it happens because of pressure,” he added.

Mamdani’s campaign website outlines his commitment to expanding protections for illegal immigrants in New York City. The avowed socialist and Muslim extremist‘s platform includes measures to strengthen the city’s sanctuary policies, eliminate cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and increase legal support for undocumented residents.

Meanwhile, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons has criticized Mamdani for his silence following the recent shooting of a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer in New York City. “His silence in the face of this brutal attack speaks volumes about where his priorities lie, and it’s not with public safety and the American people,” Lyons said of Mamdani, who only became a U.S. citizen in 2018.

Mamdani has also faced scrutiny for his support of the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, which he discussed in the same 2021 interview. Other past comments include anti-NYPD posts accusing police of controlling minorities and the poor, and calls for the defunding of the NYPD and the abolition of prisons.

Trump Moves to Shut Down New York’s City-Sanctioned Drug Dens.

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order targeting city-approved “safe” drug injection sites, potentially forcing their closure.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), OnPointNYC, Mayor Eric Adams, and the New York City Health Department.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The executive order was issued on July 24, 2023; the injection sites are located in East Harlem and Washington Heights, NYC.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “I urge the Department of Justice to take immediate action and shut down these centers and put to an end once and for all their operations.” – Rep. Nicole Malliotakis

🎯IMPACT: The order could end federal funding for injection sites, expand civil commitment procedures, and prioritize grants for jurisdictions enforcing drug-use prohibitions.

IN FULL

Two allegedly “safe” drug injection sites in New York City may be forced to shut down following a new executive order issued by President Donald J. Trump. Signed on July 24 and titled “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets,” the order restricts federal funding to “evidence-based programs,” explicitly excluding support for “so-called harm reduction or safe consumption efforts” that it claims “only facilitate illegal drug use and its attendant harm.”

The directive has drawn support from Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), who is urging federal authorities to take swift action. “I urge the Department of Justice to take immediate action and shut down these centers and put to an end once and for all their operations,” Malliotakis said.

The two sites at the center of the controversy, located in East Harlem and Washington Heights, were opened in November 2021 during the Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) administration in collaboration with the New York City Health Department, and have continued to operate under Mayor Eric Adams. The facilities, managed by OnPointNYC, have remained open despite warnings from then-Manhattan U.S. Attorney Damian Williams that such programs violate federal law.

Malliotakis, a longtime critic of the sites, contends they do more harm than good. “Since 2021, New York City has allowed two illegal drug injection sites to remain open, and it’s time to shut down these illegal facilities to protect public safety and the quality of life for all New Yorkers,” she stated.

Malliotakis recently reintroduced her Defund Heroin Injection Centers Act of 2025, which seeks to permanently cut off federal funding to such facilities by codifying Trump’s executive order into law. In February, she also asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to intervene and close the OnPointNYC-operated sites.

In addition to targeting supervised drug-use sites, Trump’s executive order broadens civil commitment options for individuals with severe mental illness and prioritizes federal funding for jurisdictions that ban open drug use. The order also eliminates federal backing for “housing first” programs that do not include mandatory treatment or recovery services.

Anti-NYPD Posts by NYC’s Mamdani Resurface After Cop Killing.

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: A mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan left four people dead, including New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer Didarul Islam. Subsequently, anti-NYPC comments by the Democrats’ New York City mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani, have resurfaced.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Victims included NYPD officer Didarul Islam, Blackstone executive Wesley LePatner, security guard Aland Etienne, and Rudin firm employee Julia Hyman. The shooter was identified as Shane Tamura, 27.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The shooting occurred Monday evening at 345 Park Avenue, Midtown Manhattan, a skyscraper housing NFL and Blackstone offices.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “He was doing the job that we asked him to do. He put himself in harm’s way. He made the ultimate sacrifice,” Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said of the slain officer.

🎯IMPACT: The incident drew scrutiny of Mamdani’s past anti-police rhetoric, particularly his calls to “defund” the NYPD during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.

IN FULL

Zohran Mamdani, the Democrat candidate for New York City Mayor, is facing backlash following a mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan on Monday that killed four people, including New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer Didarul Islam. While celebrating his wedding in his home country of Uganda, Mamdani released a statement feigning appreciation for first responders. However, social media users soon resurfaced the avowed socialist‘s previous comments supporting defunding the NYPD.

In June 2020, the Twelver Muslim called the NYPD “racist, anti-queer & a major threat to public safety,” advocating for its defunding. In 2021, he declared, “We can’t reform a system working exactly as designed – to control Black, brown & poor New Yorkers. We need to defund the police… free the thousands locked up unjustly & invest the savings in those most impacted by state violence.”

The gunman in the Midtown shooting, 27-year-old Shane Tamura, killed three people in the lobby, including Officer Islam, before dying by suicide. Tamura left a note citing frustrations with the NFL’s handling of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and its effects on former players.

Officer Islam had served three years with the NYPD. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said, “He died as he lived. A hero.”

Mayor Eric Adams stated that the investigation into Tamura’s motives and actions continues.

🎯IMPACT: The gunman, 27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura, blamed the NFL for a head injury and his subsequent mental illness.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump has responded to the tragic shooting at a Manhattan office building that claimed the lives of four individuals, including a New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer, and the gunman. Authorities named 27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura as the suspect, who reportedly died by suicide.

Writing on Truth Social, President Trump stated, “I have been briefed on the tragic shooting that took place in Manhattan, a place that I know and love. I trust our Law Enforcement Agencies to get to the bottom of why this crazed lunatic committed such a senseless act of violence.”

He continued, “My heart is with the families of the four people who were killed, including the NYPD Officer, who made the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless the New York Police Department, and God Bless New York!”

Tamura, who had played high school football in the California area, had in his possession a short declaration naming the NFL as his target and blaming the organization for a brain injury and subsequent mental illness. There are no records of Tamura ever having played in the NFL.

“[Temura] did have a note on him. The note alluded to that he felt he had CTE, a known brain injury for those who participate in contact sports,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams said following the shooting. Adams added: “He appeared to have blamed the NFL for his injury.”

Trans Illegal Charged with Raping Boy in Bathroom.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: A transgender illegal alien is facing charges of raping a 14-year-old boy in New York City.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Nicol Suarez, a 30-year-old illegal alien from Colombia, and a 14-year-old boy.

📍WHEN & WHERE: February, at a bodega near Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem, New York City.

💬KEY QUOTE: Police sources indicated Suarez had been shielded by New York City’s sanctuary policy.

🎯IMPACT: The case highlights the consequences of sanctuary city policies that hinder federal immigration enforcement.

IN FULL

A 30-year-old Colombian transgender illegal immigrant who is biologically male but claims to be a woman made his first appearance in a New York court last week on charges of child rape. According to prosecutors, the man, who goes by Nicol Suarez, raped a 14-year-old boy in the bathroom of a bodega in East Harlem this past February.

Despite his unlawful status, warrants in Manhattan and New Jersey, and a detainer issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) prior to the alleged rape, Suarez was sheltered from arrest by New York City’s sanctuary policies. Only after the sexual assault of the minor was the transgender illegal finally taken into custody.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September, and Suarez is being held at Rikers Island until then on a quarter-million-dollar bond. According to court documents, Suarez is accused of stalking the male minor into the bodega’s bathroom, where he proceeded to sexually assault the 14-year-old.

Following the rape, the child fled the bathroom and informed people nearby of the assault. Police were then called, with Suarez being arrested the next day on charges of first-degree rape.

Second Illegal Immigrant Arrested for Shooting Border Agent.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: The second suspect in an attempted robbery of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer has been taken into custody.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: A CBP officer, two male suspects, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Late Saturday night at Fort Washington Park in Manhattan, New York.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “There’s absolutely zero reason that someone who is scum of the earth like this should be running loose on the streets of New York City.” — DHS Sec. Noem

🎯IMPACT: Both suspects have been apprehended and have been identified as Dominican nationals who illegally entered the U.S. and have extensive criminal records.

IN FULL

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Monday that the second suspect involved in the shooting of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer has been detained. The officer was attacked late Saturday night at Fort Washington Park in Manhattan by two men on a moped in what appeared to be an attempted robbery.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 11:50 PM, resulted in an exchange of gunfire. The off-duty CBP officer was shot in the face but managed to return fire, hitting one of the suspects. New York Police Department (NYPD) radio traffic indicated the officer was shot in the mouth during the altercation.

During a press conference on Monday, Noem stated, “Fortunately for us today, our officer survived. He survived. He’s going through a very difficult time, and I would ask that you respect him and his family and his friend who was with him and what they have gone through.” She added, “We were able to bring the second individual in and have detained him as well, and he will face consequences and hopefully strong prosecution for his crimes and his involvement on Saturday night.”

Authorities identified the suspect as Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a Dominican national who re-entered the United States illegally in April 2023 and was released under the Biden government despite an active deportation order. CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott confirmed that the second suspect had also been apprehended and released at the U.S. border prior to the attack.

“There’s absolutely zero reason that someone who is scum of the earth like this should be running loose on the streets of New York City,” Noem told reporters. She criticized sanctuary city policies, particularly those under Mayor Eric Adams, elected as a Democrat, for enabling such criminals, adding: “He was arrested four different times in New York City, and because of the mayor’s policies and sanctuary city policies, was released back to do harm to people.”

White House Border Czar Tom Homan added, “Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals. President Trump is not going to tolerate it.”

Meanwhile, New York City’s Democratic Party mayoral candidate and self-described socialist Zohran Mamdani has remained silent on the shooting. Mamdani, who has previously called to defund the police and abolish prisons and opposes working with President Donald J. Trump to deport illegal immigrants, is currently in his birth country, Uganda, “in a personal capacity” to celebrate his marriage.

The “Twelver” Muslim stated he would return to New York City “by the end of the month.”

Mamdani’s NYC Mayoral Campaign Backed by Democrat Dark Money: Report.

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: Campaign finance records suggest that an extensive dark money political action committee (PAC) operation financed by Democratic Party elites and Silicon Valley billionaires bolstered socialist Zohran Kwame Mamdani’s supposedly grassroots New York City mayoral campaign.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Zohran Mamdani, Mamdani’s campaign finance chief Victoria Perrone, rival candidate Andrew Cuomo, New York City voters, Democrat donors, Silicon Valley billionaires, and forensic accountant Sam Antar.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Mamdani won the Democratic Party’s mayoral primary last month, with the dark money PAC operation revealed earlier this week.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “What’s nonprofit dark money? We didn’t accept any of that on the campaign. Where are you getting this info?” — Victoria Perrone

🎯IMPACT: The dark money reports call into question claims by Mamdani that his campaign is a grassroots effort independent of the Democratic Party’s wealthy political elite.

IN FULL

Far-left socialist, Muslim extremist, and Democrat mayoral nominee for New York City Zohran Kwame Mamdani, has repeatedly claimed to be running a grassroots campaign free of political elite interests and billionaires. However, campaign finance data suggests an extensive dark money operation behind the Mamdani campaign, backed by progressive and Silicon Valley billionaires.

During the Democratic Party’s New York City mayoral primary, Mamdani frequently touted his allegedly grassroots campaign operation. However, the Democratic Socialist neglected to acknowledge the even larger campaign support network of political action committees (PACs) backing his campaign, whose funding primarily came from outside New York.

In total, Mamdani raised $1,708,494 in direct campaign funds while receiving $7,050,417 in public matching funds from the city. However, Mamdani’s campaign was bolstered even more by over $2 million in PAC spending, which an investigation by forensic accountant Sam Antar reveals came mostly from Silicon Valley billionaires and a cadre of elite Democratic Party donors. This calls into question the framing of the Mamdani campaign by supporters and the corporate media as a grassroots effort.

Finance records show that the Working Families Party National PAC served as the Mamdani campaign’s primary attack vehicle, spending $539,616 of its $701,792 expenditure on attacks against Mamdani’s primary opponent, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Similarly, New Yorkers for Lower Costs—an independent expenditure PAC—which raised money off of Mamdadni’s message and image—served as a key positive messaging vehicle behind the socialist candidate. In total, the PAC spent $893,877 of its $1,320,446 expendire promoting Mamdani, with the remainder used to attack Cuomo.

Notably, the total PAC spending on behalf of Mamdani runs about $300,000 more than his campaign committee was able to raise, calling into question just how ‘grassroots’ the political operation really was.

When Sam Antar raised the PAC funding issue on social media, Mamdani’s campaign finance chief, Victoria Perrone, responded, “What’s nonprofit dark money? We didn’t accept any of that on the campaign. Where are you getting this info?” The National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam later intervened, responding to Perrone by posting campaign finance records for the two pro-Mamdani PACs: “You’re a campaign finance person pretending not to know what dark money is? Ok, sure.”

Perrone, continuing to play dumb, replied, “That’s a PAC…”—the insinuation being that dark money allegations somehow do not apply to pro-Mamdani PACs, despite Democrats continually insisting that most Republican PAC dollars are dark money.

Trump: Biden’s NYC Migrant Hotel Funding was Diverted to Build ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump announced the opening of a new illegal immigrant detention facility, nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz,” in the Florida Everglades.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Florida officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The announcement was made Tuesday during a roundtable discussion following a tour of the Miami-Dade Collier Training Facility in the Florida Everglades.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It’s known as Alligator Alcatraz, which is very appropriate because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon,” said President Trump.

🎯IMPACT: The facility is expected to begin processing, detaining, and deporting illegal immigrants immediately, with some reportedly self-deporting already.

IN FULL

The Trump administration used Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) money allocated by the Biden government to house illegal immigrants in luxury hotels in New York City to construct “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Florida Everglades, President Donald J. Trump said Tuesday during a roundtable discussion after touring the facility.

Trump toured the existing Miami-Dade Collier Training Facility, which has, in just eight days, been transformed into a detention center designed to process, detain, and deport illegal immigrants, alongside Florida Governor and former Republican primary rival Ron DeSantis.

“It’s a great honor to be deep in Florida—the Florida Everglades—to open America’s newest migrant detention center, incredibly built, and you’re seeing that yourself,” Trump said. “That’s why I said, let the press join us on our walk so they can see what’s happening. It’s known as Alligator Alcatraz, which is very appropriate because I looked outside, and that’s not a place I want to go hiking anytime soon,” the President joked.

“But very soon, this facility will house some of the most menacing migrants, some of the most vicious people on the planet,” he continued. “We’re surrounded by miles of treacherous swampland, and the only way out is really deportation. And a lot of these people are self-deporting back to their country where they came from,” Trump said.

“Quite a few were amazed at actually the number we took the FEMA money that Joe Biden allocated to pay for the free luxury hotel rooms, where he’s paying hundreds of millions of dollars in New York City, and we used it to build this project,” Trump told reporters. “And Ron [DeSantis], it was just a little fraction of that money—the money they spent on that project,” he added.

Despite a bruising primary campaign against DeSantis, the President said he now rates his relationship with the Florida Governor as “a 10, maybe a 9.9 because there might be a couple of little wounds.”

Addressing DeSantis directly, he said, “You’re my friend and you’ll always be my friend. We may even have some skirmishes in the future. I doubt it, but we’ll always come back because we have blood that seems to match pretty well.”

Obama White House Aide Who Wished Death on Trump Joins Zohran Mamdani’s Team.

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: A former Obama administration staffer who wished death on President Donald J. Trump is now consulting for Zohran Kwame Mamdani’s mayoral campaign in New York City.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Zara Rahim, Zohran Mamdani, and President Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: New York City, during Mamdani’s mayoral campaign in 2025.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “It’s been against my moral identity to tweet this for the past four years, but, I hope he dies.” – Zara Rahim, October 2020.

🎯IMPACT: Rahim’s hiring raises questions about Mamdani’s political extremism.

IN FULL

A former Obama White House staffer, Zara Rahim, who once publicly wished death on President Donald J. Trump, has taken on a new role as a communications consultant for Zohran Kwame Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist mayoral candidate in New York City. Mamdani, a Uganda-born Muslim extremist who has advocated for “seizing the means of production,” recently secured the Democratic nomination for mayor, making him the frontrunner for the November general election. Campaign finance records show Rahim was paid $3,500 for her consulting work in May.

Rahim gained attention in October 2020 when she posted on X (formerly Twitter), “It’s been against my moral identity to tweet this for the past four years, but, I hope he dies,” referring to President Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis at the time. Though she later deleted the post, her controversial statements have resurfaced as she works closely with Mamdani, including crafting campaign materials and assisting during his media appearances.

Rahim, a Bangladeshi immigrant, previously worked for Barack Obama’s Office of Digital Strategy and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. Her other clients have included corporations like Netflix, Nike, and Uber. She has also been vocal on social media, criticizing America and expressing support for the “Defund the Police” movement, a position shared by Mamdani.

Other controversial figures in Mamdani’s campaign include Julian Gerson, his political director, who praised the alleged murderer of a healthcare executive, and Matthew Thomas, a former staffer with a criminal record for soliciting a minor.

Trump Brands NYC’s Mamdani ‘Terrible,’ ‘A True Communist.’

PULSE POINTS

âť“WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump criticized far-left New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani (D) for refusing to condemn the term “globalize the intifada.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Donald Trump, Zohran Mamdani, New York City residents.

đź’¬KEY QUOTE: “Frankly, I’ve heard he’s a total nut job. I think the people in New York are crazy because they go this route.” – Donald Trump

🎯IMPACT: Trump’s remarks highlight concerns about Mamdani’s political ideology and its implications for New York City.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump blasted New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani (D) after the Queens assemblyman refused to condemn the term “globalize the intifada.” The phrase is often used to support violent Palestinian action against Israelis and Jews generally, including terrorism.

“Frankly, I’ve heard he’s a total nut job,” Trump told reporters Tuesday morning. “I think the people in New York are crazy because they go this route. I think they’re crazy. We will have a communist in the for the first time, really a pure, true communist. He wants to operate the grocery stores. The department stores. What about the people that are there? I think it’s crazy.”

Mamdani, a Ugandan-born Muslim from the extreme “Twelver” sect of Shia Islam, won the Democratic Party’s primary for New York City mayor in June. During an interview on Sunday, Mamdani stated he didn’t want to condemn the term “globalize the intifada” because he didn’t want to “police language.”

“I think he’s terrible. He’s a communist,” Trump reiterated on Tuesday. The native New Yorker added that the “last thing we need is a communist. I said, there will never be socialism in the United States… I think it’s bad news.”
