Harris Breaks 36-Year Tradition in Remarkable Snub to U.S. Catholics.

Kamala Harris has chosen not to attend the annual Al Smith Dinner, which significantly deviates from political tradition. The dinner, sponsored by the Archdiocese of New York, typically features lighthearted exchanges between presidential candidates. Former President Donald Trump has confirmed his attendance at the event scheduled for October 17, but Harris’s campaign stated she will focus on crucial battleground states as the election nears.

Some speculate that Harris’s move is due to the candidate’s fear of extemporaneous interactions, though the reality may be more that her campaign is worried that spending any time at all outside of critical swing states could see her lose on November 5th.

Joseph Zwilling, a spokesman for the Archdiocese of New York, expressed disappointment over Harris’s decision.

“We are disappointed that she will not be with us, as this is an evening of unity and putting aside political differences in support of a good cause of helping women and children in need regardless of race, creed, or background,” he said. The politically connected and powerful Timothy Cardinal Dolan—who serves as the Archbishop of the diocese—currently hosts the dinner.

Harris’s decision makes her the first presidential candidate to skip the event since Walter Mondale, who also started his campaign as a vice president, in 1984. This tradition began in 1960 with Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy and is held to raise funds for New York City’s needy.

Trump last appeared at the dinner in person in 2016 along with then-Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton. The 2020 dinner, held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, saw Trump and Joe Biden make pre-recorded remarks. The annual event is named after former New York Governor Alfred E. Smith, the first Roman Catholic nominated for the U.S. presidency by a major party in 1928.

Cops Raid Migrant-Run Brothel.

In a coordinated operation late Wednesday night, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) executed a raid on a brothel located on Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens. The illicit business is alleged to forcibly employ illegal immigrant women brought to the United States by human traffickers. They are forced to work off their debt—sometimes as high as $50,000—through prostitution at the 24-hour establishment.

The NYPD vice squad, along with members from the 110th Precinct, arrested both illegal immigrant prostitutes and customers in the so-called “Market of Sweethearts.”

The operation follows multiple reports detailing the rampant prostitution, drug dealing, and sale of stolen goods along Roosevelt Avenue. These activities have been taking place openly, significantly affecting local businesses. Mirella Gutierrez, co-owner of a nearby pharmacy, acknowledged the raid as a positive move but expressed ongoing concerns about the persistent illegal trade. “This is a step forward, but the issue of prostitution and other crimes continues to plague our neighborhood,” she remarked.

Since 2022, over 200,000 migrants have arrived in New York City from the U.S. border, with around 65,000 still residing in city-funded shelters and tent facilities. This influx is worsening the complex socio-economic challenges faced by neighborhoods like Jackson Heights.

The National Pulse reported in June on NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell saying migrant crime in the city is “tremendous.”

Now New York Taxpayers Are Handing $4K Per Migrant to LEAVE Shelters.

New York City is paying illegal immigrants upwards of $4,000 to leave the city’s taxpayer-funded shelters in hopes of alleviating its overstressed temporary housing system. The pilot program, launched last December, has now paid out approximately $600,000 to about 150 illegal immigrant families.

At the moment, approximately 65,000 illegals are housed in the city’s temporary shelter system. One of the largest temporary shelter facilities is located at Floyd Bennett Field, situated in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. The National Pulse reported in March that drone footage of the area indicates the tent complex likely houses well over 2,000 illegal immigrants. Meanwhile, in July, the city moved to issue over 7,300 illegal immigrants pre-paid debit cards at the cost of $2.6 million.

“The city is employing all available strategies to offer innovative and cost-effective solutions for recently arrived asylum seekers residing in shelters,” a spokesman for the New York Department of Social Services said in a statement, defending the city’s payouts to illegals for clearing out of shelters. They added, “One hundred fifty households have moved out of shelter and benefitted from this pilot over the last seven months.”

City-contracted agencies administer the grants, which require detailed tracking and receipts from landlords and moving companies. Up to $1,000 of the grant money is designated for purchasing household supplies. City officials have indicated that if the pilot program proves successful, it could be expanded, potentially increasing costs further.

‘SLAP IN THE FACE.’

The influx of illegal immigrants, estimated at over 210,000 since spring 2022, has posed significant financial challenges for New York City. Local lawmakers have criticized the cost of the pilot. Council Minority Leader Joe Borelli described the program as “ridiculous,” raising concerns about ongoing taxpayer expenses. Council Member Robert Holden called the payments “a complete slap in the face to every New Yorker,” criticizing the financial burden on residents.

Officials acknowledge that more than $5 billion has already been spent addressing the illegal immigrant crisis.

Leaked Army Advisory Warns of Migrant Gang Violence in Major Cities.

A threat advisory issued by the U.S. Army to Department of Defense (DOD) personnel across the country warns the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) has established a significant foothold in multiple American cities and poses a serious danger to local, state, and federal law enforcement.

The document—designated as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and obtained by investigative journalist James O’Keefe—states the violent migrant gang is employing advanced technology and surveillance to execute their criminal operations.

The advisory states that TdA “has established a presence in Brooklyn, Bronx, and Williamsburg, NY,” with an estimated 400 gang members taking up residence in the boroughs. Additionally, the U.S. Army warns the gang has forged close ties to Iranian-backed terrorist groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

While Democratic lawmakers have largely dismissed reports that TdA has taken over apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado, the threat advisory appears to confirm the incidents. Concerningly, the document also details an August 24 incident where it is believed TdA members fired 19 rounds toward the Chapman Gate at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. The U.S. Army also reiterates the DHS advisory warning local and state law enforcement that gang members have received the green light to target police in Denver, Colorado, and New York City.

The threat advisory may explain the increased presence of the National Guard and other military personnel in New York City, stating the U.S. Army’s Threat Analysis Division (TAD) has high confidence that DOD employees and their family members could become victims of the gang.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sources claim most of the TdA members present in the country crossed the border illegally through Texas between 2022 and 2023. They were subsequently released by the Biden-Harris government in the U.S. pending removal proceedings.

Illegals Responsible for 75 Percent of Midtown Manhattan Crime: Police.

Police sources estimate three out of every four individuals apprehended for assault, domestic violence, and robbery in Midtown Manhattan are illegal aliens. Law enforcement officers in Queens estimate that “over 60 percent” of those arrested for similar offenses in their area are illegals.

New York Police Department (NYPD) officers face challenges due to sanctuary laws, which hinder cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“I would say about 75 percent of the arrests in Midtown Manhattan are migrants, mostly for robberies, assaults, domestic incidents, and selling counterfeit items,” a Midtown police source told the New York Post. Another source estimated “more than 60 percent” of arrestees in Jackson Heights, Queens, are migrants, while a Queens Criminal Courthouse officer said, “Almost every case is a migrant.”

Officers described how “Roosevelt Avenue and 91st Street looks like a scene from ‘Casablanca’ with all the vendors… The area has become a Third World country, and it seems like City Hall doesn’t care about the taxpayers who live and work here.”

An NYPD spokesman told the Post that, officially, “Police officers are prohibited from asking about the immigration status of crime victims, witnesses, or suspects, and therefore, the NYPD doesn’t track data pertaining to immigration statuses.”

Since spring 2022, approximately 210,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in New York City, with the ongoing migrant crisis projected to cost the city $10 billion over the next three years.

Five Shot at Afro-Caribbean West Indian Day Parade in NYC.

Five people were shot in Brooklyn, New York, during the West Indian American Day festival parade on Monday. A man opened fire into the crowd, leaving two in critical condition. New York Police Department (NYPD) Chief of Patrol John Chell says the shooting was an intentional attack, but the parade continued regardless.

“This was not random,” Chell said. “This was an intentional act by one person towards a group of people. We do not by no means have any active shooter or anything of that nature running around Eastern Parkway,” he insisted.

Chief Chell says the victims include four men and one woman. The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties with a slim build. He reportedly wore a black shirt with paint stains and a black bandanna. His motive is currently unknown.

The crowded parade route saw thousands of attendees celebrating West Indian (Caribbean) heritage and culture. It regularly sees outbreaks of violence, with several people shot or stabbed to death in recent years. For instance, a gunman shot and killed Carey Gabay, a staffer for former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, while he was serving as an honorary marshal for the event in 2015.

Police officers despise working the parade, with officers in a Facebook group titled ‘No More West Indian Day Detail’ caught describing it as a “bloodbath” and attendees as “savages” in 2011.

The Notting Hill Carnival celebrating Afro-Caribbean culture in London, England, is similarly controversial. This year’s carnival, in late, August saw eight stabbings. Two of the victims, including a 38-year-old woman stabbed in front of her three-year-old daughter, died.

The carnival saw at least 13 sexual assaults and 61 assaults on police officers, and an initial 349 arrests.

New York Young Republican Club Announces Raheem Kassam As Master of Ceremonies For 112th Annual Gala.

The National Pulse’s Editor-in-Chief, Raheem Kassam, is set to serve as the Master of Ceremonies for this year’s New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) gala. Consequently, Kassam has promised the storied New York City Republican group that he intends “to spend every moment on stage roasting the Club officers, speakers, and attendees.”

This year’s NYYRC gala will take place on December 15 at Cipriani Wall Street and will be headlined by America First patriot and one of the targets of the Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) lawfare campaign, Stephen K. Bannon. Subsequently, the War Room host and former White House adviser to Trump is expected to be released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, after serving a four-month sentence that began on July 1.

Last year’s annual gala was the largest in decades, with former President Donald J. Trump headlining what was dubbed a “black tie rally” for the 2024 Republican presidential nominee. The National Pulse was a sponsor of the event, which attracted almost 1,000 black tie-wearing attendees to the illustrious Cipriani Wall Street venue, where Trump waxed lyrical about aspects of his personal life, his policy ambitions and regaled the audience with stories from the 2016 campaign.

Guests of this year’s gala will have the opportunity to mingle with some of the top Republican and America First political leaders in the country. Last year, special guests included Congressman Matt Gaetz, Stephen K. Bannon, Senator Roger Marshall, Senator J.D. Vance, Congressman Lauren Boebert, and Congressman Cory Mills—among others.

Tickets for the 112th Annual NYYRC gala can be purchased here.

Illegal Who Raped Woman at Knifepoint Was Released After Prior Rape in 2023.

Two illegal immigrants were apprehended for an alleged knifepoint rape in Coney Island, law enforcement reported on Monday. Daniel Davon-Bonilla, 24, from Nicaragua, is accused of attacking a 46-year-old woman late Sunday night. He purportedly threw her to the ground and raped her while holding a knife to her neck, according to police and sources. Accompanying him, Mexican migrant Leovando Moreno, 37, reportedly struck the woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend with a pipe when he intervened.

Davon-Bonilla had been released from jail less than two months prior for another sexual assault at a city-funded shelter. He had entered the United States illegally in December 2022 through Texas. In April 2023, he was arrested for allegedly raping a woman at a La Quinta Hotel in Gowanus, Brooklyn, which had been converted into a migrant shelter. He served about a year in jail before being released in June following a plea deal.

The weekend assault occurred near Surf Avenue and West 16th Street. Local residents reported that the poorly lit walkway under the boardwalk is frequently occupied by vagrants and littered with drug paraphernalia. The female victim, who had been living under the boardwalk with her boyfriend, was reportedly approached by Davon-Bonilla while she was alone. After offering her trinkets in exchange for sex and being refused, he allegedly attacked her. Her boyfriend tried to intervene but was struck by Moreno with a pipe.

Davon-Bonilla has been charged with first-degree rape, second-degree assault, first-degree sexual abuse, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. He pleaded not guilty and was held without bail. Moreno faces charges of second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He also pleaded not guilty and is held on $20,000 bail. Both are due in court on Friday.

Biden-Harris Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sources indicated that Davon-Bonilla entered the country illegally in December 2022 and provided agents with a Miami homeless shelter address. He later moved to New York City. Immigration officials did not comment why he was allowed to remain in the country after his release in June.

RFK Jr. Confesses to Planting Dead Bear Cub in Central Park.

On Sunday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. admitted to placing a dead bear cub in New York City’s Central Park a decade ago as a prank. He made the revelation in a video with actor Roseanne Barr.

Kennedy recounted to Barr that he found the dead bear cub, killed by a vehicle, during a falconry trip in New York’s Hudson Valley in 2014. Putting it in his car with the intent to skin it and scavenge its meat, he and his companions later decided it would be funny to plant the carcass in Central Park, positioning it as if it had been run over by a cyclist.

“We thought it would be amusing for whoever found it,” Kennedy said. “The next day, it was on every television station… I was like, ‘Oh my God, what did I do?’”

A dog discovered the bear cub near a bicycle in the park, alarming city residents and sparking an investigation into whether bears were roaming the area. Authorities noted trauma on the bear’s body but could not determine the cause of death, leaving the mystery unsolved until Kennedy’s bizarre confession.

The video seems to be an attempt to preempt a negative story Kennedy expects on the subject from The New Yorker.

Previously, Kennedy’s campaign ran into controversy when he was accused of sending people pictures of himself eating a barbecued dog. This was later connected to his past confession that part of his brain had been eaten by a parasitic worm.

Judge Dismisses NYC Mayor Eric Adams’s ‘Unconstitutional’ Migrant Bussing Lawsuit.

A Manhattan judge has dismissed Mayor Eric Adams‘s $700 million lawsuit against bus companies that transported more than 33,000 illegal immigrants to New York City, ruling the case “dubious at best.” The suit, filed in January, targeted 17 bus companies for allegedly violating state law by ferrying people from Texas to New York City. However, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Mary Rosado deemed the suit “unconstitutional,” citing the Interstate Commerce Clause.

Rosado’s Monday ruling stated that the city’s attempt to regulate the transportation of illegal immigrants across state lines violated constitutional provisions. The lawsuit hinged on a 19th-century “pauper’s statute,” which Rosado noted had already been declared unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court over 80 years ago. Specifically, she pointed to a 1941 decision against a California law deemed “essentially identical.”

Mayor Adams had claimed that the bus companies failed to cover the costs of caring for the illegals, leading to expenditures of approximately $700 million over the past two years. “These companies have violated state law by not paying the cost of caring for these migrants, and that’s why we are suing,” he said.

Lisa Zornberg, chief counsel to the mayor and City Hall, expressed respect for the court’s decision but maintained that the 1817 statute the suit was based on had not been conclusively ruled unconstitutional. Zornberg emphasized that the city’s objective was to protect its social services system and residents.

Attorney Robert Hantman, representing the bus companies, praised Judge Rosado for her impartiality and legal adherence. According to the city, roughly 33,600 illegal immigrants have been bused to New York since the crisis began in April 2022. The city also reported that over 200,000 migrants have arrived in total, with 64,000 still residing in city shelters as of July.

Prior to the crisis, Mayor Adams praised the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris government for blocking the completion of Donald Trump’s border wall, and said the Big Apple would “always” be a sanctuary city for migrants.
