Jon Ossoff, a Georgia Senate hopeful, failed to disclose financial ties to the Qatari government-backed Al Jazeera and the Chinese Communist Party through a media company. Ossoff, who will face off against Senator David Perdue in a runoff election, and his campaign attributed the coverup of his foreign financial ties to “paperwork oversight.” The comments, from a campaign spokesperson, were in response to an attack ad highlighting the comprising and campaign-damaging ties.
