BANNON: 2020 Election is All About China

Longtime China-hawk and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon told the Asia Times in an interview: “This confrontation with the Chinese Communist Party, I believe, will be the single defining aspect of 2020.”

When Bannon joined the Trump Campaign as CEO in August of 2016, then-candidate Trump trailed Clinton anywhere from eight to fourteen points. Bannon believes Trump’s stunning, come-from-behind 2016 presidential victory represents the rejection of Wall Street corporatists and K Street globalists who for decades off-shored American jobs to China and facilitated the managed decline of the Western system.

For Bannon, dismantling the endemic corruption of the bureaucratic establishment is a generational struggle and 2020 signifies a continuation of 2016 – with China at the centerpiece.

“President Trump’s the only president in American history that has stood up to the Chinese Communist Party. And I think now is the time to even take it up a notch,” Bannon told the Asia Times.

“The CCP is in a hot information/cyberwar and a hot economic war against the United States,” he says. “And they’ve been at that for a while.”

In May of 2019, the Chinese Communist Party made the conscious decision to decouple from the West and, under the guise of ‘One Belt One Road,’ launched their Made in China 2025 scheme – which Bannon describes as the convergence of advanced chip design, artificial intelligence, robotics, and possibly biotechnology.

“Their entire focus is going to be to control the Eurasian landmass with their partners Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, and Russia. And I think they’re well down the path of trying to do this,” Bannon says.

He believes that the Chinese Communist Party’s early mishandling of the novel coronavirus pandemic and subsequent cover-up – in light of the CCP’s egregious human rights abuses, brutal colonization efforts in Africa, and aggressive espionage tactics – acted as a providential wake-up call.

“The global elites of the world, the party of Davos, the intellectual, the cultural, the financial and corporate elites allowed this to happen,” Bannon says.

Global elites like former Vice President Joe Biden.

In 2000, Senator Joe Biden voted to grant China permanent normal trade relation (PTNR) status and later lobbied for China’s inclusion into the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001.

In the following decade, from 2001 to 2011, the United States lost 2.7 million jobs to China, in part due to Chinese currency manipulation and routine intellectual property theft. That same decade, foreign investment in Beijing leaped from $47 billion to $124 billion.

China’s PTNR status and WTO entry dealt devasting blows to the American economy and American industry. According to William Evanina, director of the US National Counterintelligence and Security Center, Chinese theft as it pertains to American trade secrets costs the Unites States between $300 and $500 billion each year.

Encouraged by the likes of Joe Biden and courted by China’s abundant cheap labor and low production costs, business executives and US corporations increasingly invested in China. As a result, China rapidly transformed into the world’s leading manufacturer and Chinese imports to the United States exploded.

Unable to compete, working-class Americans saw their wages plummet and their jobs shipped overseas to China while globalist elites like the Bidens prospered.

“The American people don’t know Joe Biden’s record. In the last 150 days of this election they’re going to know chapter and verse,” Bannon promises.

Designated to be the Obama Administration’s point person on Chinese relations, former Vice President Joe Biden over the years developed a close relationship with Chinese President Xi Jingping and even bragged that the two spent “25 hours” together in private meetings.

Biden continually praised China, lauded the countries’ shared future, and said:

“In order to cement this robust partnership, we have to go beyond close ties between Washington and Beijing, which we’re working on every day, go beyond it to include all levels of government, go beyond it to include classrooms and laboratories, athletic fields and boardrooms.”

Taking his father’s boardroom advice to heart, Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, accompanied the former vice president on a 2013 trip to China aboard Air Force Two where he met with Chinese banker Jonathan Li. Together, Hunter Biden and Jonathan Li sit on the board of BHR Partners – an equity firm controlled by Chinese government-owned entities. According to reports, “over the past roughly six years, [BHR Partners] has channeled $2.5 billion or more on behalf of its financial backers into automotive, energy, mining and technology deals.”

Looking forward to 2020, Bannon says, “I think whoever convinces the American people that they can confront the Chinese Communist Party now and stop their actions will be the winner. And that’s why I think Joe Biden is so weak.”

The defeat of China’s evil empire necessitates a break from the status quo. Ensconced in the marble hallways of Washington’s government buildings for the past forty-seven years, Joe Biden embodies that status quo.

“My recommendation is quite simple,” Bannon says. “The Chinese Communist Party should be cut off from all avenues of Western capital and they should be cut off from all avenues of Western technology.”

Bannon’s advice to the government of China? “Dissolve yourself. Tear down the firewall. Allow the great and noble Chinese people to finally be free.”

Andrew Jackson said, ‘one man with courage makes a majority.’ Standing beside the millions of Chinese living under China’s Communist regime and advising the newly emerging Federal State of China, Steven K. Bannon is leading that majority.
