President Joe Biden’s S-corp, known as ‘CelticCapri’, received nearly $10 million in 2017 without the origins being specified, which is now leading Republicans to demand transparency.
Upon a closer look at Biden’s finances, “[r]eaders were left with a smokescreen,” according to the Federalist, which found no trace of S-corp tax returns to the tune of millions in that year.
A certified public accountant from Allison Financial Services, Jerry Allison, argues, “the lack of detail should raise concern for House investigators” as further allegations of Biden’s potentially incriminating financial affairs come to light.
As a result, Republican lawmakers have announced their intention to seek clarification from Biden on the matter. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) asserted, “Biden should disclose and every member of the press ought to hound him until he does.”
“The President seems to find selling out our country funny. We don’t. If he’s serious about proving our allegations wrong he should release his and his family’s unredacted bank records and show the American people where all this money is coming from. The FBI can’t protect him forever,” argued Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC).
This follows Republicans in the House canceling a vote that would have held Christopher Wray, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in contempt of Congress for failing to provide information on Biden’s crooked financial affairs.
