The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), as part of the former Biden government’s Arctic Frost investigation of President Donald J. Trump, subpoenaed the phone records of now-FBI Director Kash Patel and now-White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles in 2022 and 2023, when both were private citizens. Concerningly, it also appears that the FBI recorded conversations between Wiles and her attorney. While the latter granted the bureau permission to do so, Florida is a two-party consent state, raising concerns that the FBI may have illegally obtained the recordings.

Notably, the FBI’s subpoenas and recording activities occurred as the Biden Department of Justice’s (DOJ) special counsel Jack Smith had taken over the Arctic Frost investigation into President Donald Trump and the Capitol riots on January 6. The National Pulse has previously reported that Smith is accused of abusing his power as special counsel to cast a wide net of subpoenas, including for phone toll records belonging to members of Congress. Subsequently, Smith used friendly judges like James Boasberg and Beryl Howell to attain orders preventing phone carriers from notifying the lawmakers that their records had been subpoenaed.

Even more troubling, it appears the Biden government attempted to hide the phone record files it possessed for Patel and Wiles, with the documents being found in files labeled “prohibited.” After the discovery, Director Patel has moved to fire ten current FBI employees involved in the subpoenas and has ended the bureau’s ability to categorize certain files as “prohibited.”

Patel called the discovery of the subpoenas and recording of Wiles’s meeting with her attorney “outrageous and deeply alarming.” He added, “It is outrageous and deeply alarming that the previous FBI leadership secretly subpoenaed my own phone records—along with those of now White House chief of staff Susie Wiles—using flimsy pretexts and burying the entire process in prohibited case files designed to evade all oversight.”

A new study has established a correlation between support for gender ideology and left-wing authoritarianism, including support for political violence.

The statements used included: “failure to affirm a transgender person’s gender identity increases the risk of serious psychological distress,” “using a chosen name is a necessary form of support,” “people should be supported in expressing their transgender identity,” “parents should support their children’s transgender exploration,” and “using preferred pronouns is a necessary form of support.” Researchers then ranked the participants on the Left-Wing Authoritarianism (LWA) scale, a gauge that measures authoritarian attitudes, traits, and behaviors associated with leftism. A participant’s score was measured by factoring in political identity, belief in so-called “trans genocide,” the perceived threat posed by certain groups, and their willingness to justify six examples of political violence: killing President Donald J. Trump, killing Charlie Kirk, killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, committing arson attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) buildings, committing property damage against the wealthy, and committing violence against police officers. The study concluded that CGAS and LWA were correlated. “These findings suggest that gender ideology is associated with LWA [left-wing authoritarianism] and willingness to justify political violence,” reads the study.
🎯 IMPACT: While the researchers emphasized that it focused on correlation rather than causation, the study substantiates claims that support for gender ideology is associated with a willingness to justify political violence. The study also shows how support for far-left political violence relies on a permission structure stemming from perceived victimhood. The study concludes: “Finally, broader research on perceived victimhood, moralization, and political violence suggests that identities organized around grievance, perceived victimization, and injustice, when paired with authoritarian or punitive dispositions, can predict support for anti-democratic or violent political action… Taken together, these literatures suggest a common mechanism: ideological content that names an oppressor class, certifies ongoing victimization, and locates remedy in coercive institutional or social action which may supply authoritarian psychology with morally justified targets.”
