The New York Times is bemoaning the “rhetorical violence” of Donald Trump supporters outside a Miami courthouse this week, despite having to admit that the event was actually totally peaceful.
“…just because the aggressive words did not result in aggressive actions hardly meant they were not corrosive to the fabric or the practice of democracy, scholars of political violence said,” according to the Times.
The paper also complained about the “belligerent language” of Trump backers such as Kimberly Guilfoyle, who posted a photo of the former president with the words, “Retribution is coming.” The Times was especially upset that the meme used “all capital letters.”

Long-time Trump advisor Roger Stone interviewed the former President before the Miami court date, wherein he told his supporters to protest “peacefully” before his arraignment, while stressing there is “plenty to protest about.” No major, corporate media outlet covered his calls for peace in advance of the rally, instead hyping the possibility of violence for days on end.
