Air pollution poses a greater threat to global public health than smoking or alcohol, according to a study by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago. The annual Air Quality Life Index (AQLI) report showed that fine particulate air pollution, caused by vehicle and industrial emissions, wildfires, and more, remains the “greatest external threat to public health.” If the world were to permanently reduce these pollutants to meet the World Health Organization’s guideline limit, the average person would extend their life expectancy by 2.3 years. The level of funding allocated to addressing air pollution is significantly lower than the amount assigned to combat infectious diseases.
South Asia is particularly affected by air pollution, with Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan ranking as the top four most polluted countries. In Bangladesh, residents would gain an average of 6.8 years of life if particulate pollution levels reached WHO guidelines. Meanwhile, India’s capital city, Delhi, is recognized as the “most polluted megacity in the world.”

China has made progress in reducing air pollution since 2014, claiming a 42.3 percent decrease in pollution levels between 2013 and 2021. In the United States, efforts such as the Clean Air Act have led to a 64.9 percent reduction in pollution since 1970, resulting in a gain of 1.4 years of life expectancy for Americans. Wildfires, fueled by arsonists not climate change, are causing pollution spikes in regions such as Western US, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Bosnia is identified as Europe’s most polluted country, highlighting differences between western and eastern Europe in terms of air quality.

📍WHEN & WHERE: October 2025, nationwide across U.S. border sectors.
💬KEY QUOTE: “No excuses. No politics. Just results delivered by the most dedicated law-enforcement professionals in the country. We’re not easing up—we’re pushing even harder,” said Rodney Scott.
🎯IMPACT: Record-low encounters and sustained control highlight the administration’s success in securing the border.
IN FULL
The Trump administration has achieved what officials are calling a historic milestone in border enforcement, recording the lowest number of nationwide migrant encounters for any October in U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) history. Preliminary data for October 2025, the first month of Fiscal Year 2026, shows just 30,561 total encounters nationwide, a 29 percent drop from the previous October record low in 2012 and 79 percent lower than October 2024.
For the sixth straight month, the U.S. Border Patrol reported zero releases of migrants into the country, a record unmatched in modern border history. “Our mission is simple: secure the border and safeguard this nation,” said CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott. “No excuses. No politics. Just results delivered by the most dedicated law enforcement professionals in the country. We’re not easing up—we’re pushing even harder.”
Since President Donald J. Trump regained office in January, Border Patrol apprehensions have averaged under 10,000 per month nationwide. The daily average for apprehensions along the Southwest border is now at 258, compared to 5,110 per day under the former Biden regime. CBP officials credited the achievement to the efforts of more than 67,000 personnel working to secure U.S. borders by land, air, and sea.
The sharp decline follows a series of policy shifts and enforcement measures implemented by the Trump administration. Crossings at the southern border have fallen to their lowest level in 55 years, with total apprehensions during Fiscal Year 2025 dropping to around 237,000, the lowest since 1970. Northern border crossings have also seen a dramatic decrease. The number of illegal entries from Canada fell by more than 95 percent in early 2025, particularly in the Swanton Sector, which includes parts of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
The Trump administration’s crackdown has also coincided with a broader demographic shift. The U.S. foreign-born population has declined by an estimated 2.2 million people since the start of the year, according to reports citing deportations and a record drop in illegal immigration.

💬KEY QUOTE: “[W]e’ve gone from ‘a chicken in every pot and a car in every garage’ to ‘a nine-dollar plate of halal and a free bus ticket.'” – Raheem Kassam
🎯IMPACT: The Democrats adopting Mamdani’s messaging more widely could prove damaging outside diverse, urban centers in general elections.
IN FULL
Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, has expressed skepticism regarding the appeal of Zohran Mamdani’s campaign messaging beyond New York City. His comments came in response to Democrat strategist Laura Fink’s praise for Mamdani’s communication strategy during an appearance on Harry Cole Saves the West.
“[Mamdani] was able to make substantive arguments about what change would look like; it means lowering the price of a plate of halal from $10 to $8… It’s about taxing millionaires and multimillionaires… to make sure that the poorest New Yorkers have access to more affordable childcare and buses,” Fink argued.
Kassam suggested that this pitch may fall flat beyond hyper-diverse urban centers like New York City, remarking, “[W]e’ve gone from ‘a chicken in every pot and a car in every garage’ to ‘a nine-dollar plate of halal and a free bus ticket…’ I don’t think they should be hanging their hats on that messaging. Across the country, people are going to look at that and go, ‘Eh, don’t think so.'”
Kassam was referring to the GOP’s famous pitch to voters ahead of Republican candidate Herbert Hoover’s crushing victory over Democratic candidate Al Smith in 1928, when an ad was run in the New York World declaring, “Republican prosperity has reduced hours and increased earning capacity, silenced discontent, put the proverbial ‘chicken in every pot.’ And a car in every backyard, to boot.”

💬KEY QUOTE: “The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America. She was evil, corrupt, and only focused on bad things for our country.” – President Trump
🎯IMPACT: Trump’s remarks emphasize Pelosi’s notorious reputation after close to four decades in office.
IN FULL
President Donald J. Trump has expressed his satisfaction over the news that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is finally retiring from the House of Representatives after almost four decades in office, labeling it a positive development for the nation.
“The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America,” Trump said in a statement to the media. “She was evil, corrupt, and only focused on bad things for our country. She was rapidly losing control of her party, and it was never coming back. I’m very honored that she impeached me twice and failed miserably twice,” he said, in reference to her efforts to force him out of office as House Speaker during his first term. “Nancy Pelosi is a highly overrated politician,” he added.
Pelosi, 85, has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1987 but will not seek reelection in the 2026 midterms, retiring at the end of her current term in January 2027. Despite Trump’s statement that she has been losing control of the Democratic Party, likely in reference to the rise of radical leftists such as New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, she attempted to exert control over it until well into the twilight of her career, playing a key role in the ouster of Joe Biden and his replacement with Kamala Harris in 2024, for instance.
Among the general public, she is perhaps best known not for her decades of political activism but for the way she and her family have enriched themselves during her time in office, amassing a vast fortune that has prompted many to call for increased restrictions on how lawmakers and their families can trade.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Expert Tom Jones, foreign prison staff, and wrongfully released prisoners such as Brahim Kaddour-Cherif and Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu.
📍WHEN & WHERE: Recent incidents at His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) Wandsworth and HMP Chelmsford, with broader implications across the British prison system.
💬KEY QUOTE: “Remand prisoners need to be moved much more frequently than normal prisoners for trial and other proceedings, which increases the risk of errors occurring during transfers or releases.” – Tom Jones
🎯IMPACT: Increased scrutiny over recruitment practices and operational risks in the British prison system, and increased pressure on Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the governing Labour Party responsible for overseeing it.
IN FULL
A rise in the recruitment of foreign prison officers is linked to the growing number of accidental prisoner releases across Britain, according to expert Tom Jones. He argues that overcrowding and the record number of remand prisoners are placing extreme strain on the system, increasing the likelihood of administrative mistakes.
“One of the big issues with this is overcrowding in prisons and the number of prisoners now held on remand, which is the highest it has been for around half a century,” Jones explained. “Unfortunately, remand prisoners need to be moved much more frequently than normal prisoners for trial and other proceedings, which increases the risk of errors occurring during transfers or releases.”
Jones also warned that an influx of inexperienced recruits could worsen the situation. Around 30 percent of new prison officers at some sites reportedly come from overseas, with nearly 2,500 foreign nationals hired in the past three years, more than a fifth of all new recruits. He raised concerns about communication issues and cultural misunderstandings, suggesting that “some recruits lack the skills needed for core aspects of the job and that cultural misunderstandings could lead to operational risks.”
The debate has intensified after reports of mistaken releases involving foreign prisoners. Migrant child sex offender Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, who had previously sparked riots over his crimes, was accidentally released in late October instead of being deported. Another case earlier this week saw an Algerian national mistakenly freed instead of being deported.
Official figures show that the number of foreign nationals in British prisons has reached its highest level in over a decade, with roughly one in eight inmates coming from overseas. Data suggests that a quarter of foreign sex offenders imprisoned in Britain originate from just five countries, namely Poland, Ireland, Pakistan, India, and Romania, but some nationalities are grossly overrepresented among sex offenders in per capita terms, such as Bangladesh.
During Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons, opposition lawmakers pressed Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary David Lammy on the recent release errors, but he refused to give details.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The event organizers and local city officials in Overath.
📍WHEN & WHERE: Overath, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
🎯IMPACT: Another traditional Christmas market has been lost, highlighting the growing cultural and security challenges in Germany as a result of mass migration.
IN FULL
The Christmas market in the German town of Overath, located in North Rhine-Westphalia, will not take place this year after organizers determined that the cost of ensuring visitor safety had become unmanageable. The local market association concluded that required security measures to protect against potential Islamist terrorist attacks would exceed its budget, and the city declined to subsidize the expenses.
For generations, Christmas markets have been a cornerstone of German culture, with families and friends gathering to enjoy mulled wine, roasted nuts, and seasonal cheer every year. Yet in recent years, they have increasingly required strict security precautions, including police patrols, concrete barriers, and vehicle restrictions, following multiple deadly terror attacks. The Overath decision reflects a wider trend across the country, as smaller private markets struggle to cope with soaring protection costs. In Dresden, several smaller Christmas markets have already been called off for the same reason.
Andreas Korschmann, head of the Overath town marketing group, said the organizers had spent more than a year appealing to city officials for help. However, with no financial backing forthcoming, the group concluded it could not guarantee the safety of visitors.
The cancellation highlights a broader climate of unease in Germany, where migration policy, Islamic extremism, and domestic security have become deeply intertwined political issues. Memories of past attacks continue to shape public sentiment. The 2016 Christmas market attack in Berlin, in which a rejected but undeported Tunisian asylum seeker drove a stolen truck into crowds at Breitscheidplatz, killing 12 and injuring dozens, remains one of the most traumatic events in recent German history.
In the years since, authorities have disrupted or responded to several similar threats. In 2023, German police arrested two teenagers accused of plotting a terror attack on a Christmas market. The following year, a 15-year-old was convicted of planning to use a truck to target visitors near Cologne, and another suspect was detained in late 2024 for a foiled plot against a market in southern Germany. In December 2024, a car attack at the Magdeburg Christmas market killed five people, including a child, and injured around 200 others.
These incidents have fueled a debate over the future of public celebrations in Germany. The renaming of some events from “Christmas Markets” to “Winter Markets” has already been criticized by some as a cultural concession to militant Islam.

🎯IMPACT: Pelosi’s departure marks the end of an era for Democratic leadership in Congress.
IN FULL
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and longtime Democrat power player, has announced she will not seek reelection after almost four decades in office. The 85-year-old’s announcement comes after a significant political victory for the Democrats in California, where a ballot measure she supported won by a large margin, redrawing the state’s congressional map to favor Democrats.
Reflecting on her career, Pelosi stated that standing on the House floor as the voice of San Francisco starting in 1987 was her greatest honor. Her tenure included fierce political battles, including clashes with President Donald J. Trump. She played a key role in forcing former President Joe Biden off the Democratic ticket in 2024 and facilitating his smooth replacement by former Vice President Kamala Harris, showcasing her leading role in her party well into the twilight of her political career.
She is particularly noted for having amassed an enormous fortune alongside her husband, Paul, during her time in Congress, with her exorbitant earnings frequently highlighted during debates on restricting trades by lawmakers, who often have foreknowledge of government actions impacting the stock market.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Noncitizen voting is a real problem. It is not something that happens once in a decade. It is something that happens fairly frequently.” – Kris Kobach
🎯IMPACT: The case highlights concerns over the integrity of elections, with foreign nationals able to vote in them due to inadequate safeguards despite a legal ban.
IN FULL
Kansas Republican Secretary of State Scott Schwab and Attorney General Kris Kobach have filed six charges against Coldwater Mayor Joe Ceballos, a legal permanent resident from Mexico, accusing him of illegally voting as a non-citizen in elections in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The charges, brought in Comanche County, involve perjury and casting ballots without eligibility, with a possible prison term exceeding five years.
Ceballos, a former city council member, was reelected on Tuesday, although this is currently uncertified. Kobach pointed out that city officials must be U.S. citizens by law—although failing to meet that criterion isn’t a crime itself—meaning he will likely be removed from office.
“In large part, our system right now is based on trust. Trust that when the person signed the registration or signs the pollbooks saying that he’s a qualified elector or that he is a United States citizen, that the person is telling the truth,” Kobach stressed, adding: “In this case, we allege that Mr. Ceballos violated that trust.”
He emphasized that non-citizen voting, despite being legally banned, is a recurring problem due to a lack of safeguards being in place to detect it. “It is not something that happens once in a decade. It is something that happens fairly frequently,” he said. The National Pulse has previously reported on academic research suggesting that non-citizens, who tend to favor the Democrats, vote on a large enough scale to swing elections, “likely [giving] Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress,” for instance.
Kansas is now cross-referencing voter lists with a federal immigration database, anticipating it will reveal more such violations. “We now have tools, thanks to the current White House, that we haven’t had in over 10 years… we can check through the SAVE program, to find out if folks end up on our voter rolls,” Schwab said.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If 3I/ATLAS is not enshrouded in a much more massive gas cloud after perihelion than it had in the months preceding perihelion, then its recent non-gravitational acceleration must have resulted from a different cause than cometary evaporation.” – Avi Loeb
🎯IMPACT: The object’s unexplained movements and composition raise questions about its nature, with some suggesting it could be an extraterrestrial craft.
IN FULL
The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS has been observed accelerating as it moves away from the sun and closer to Earth, according to NASA. This unexpected speed increase has shifted the object off its predicted path, defying the gravitational forces of the sun, which contains the majority of the solar system’s mass.
3I/ATLAS, initially recorded as the fastest space object entering the solar system at over 130,000 mph, has now reached speeds of around 152,000 mph after its closest approach to the sun on October 29. While NASA attributes the speed boost primarily to the sun’s gravity, the object’s noticeable deviation from its expected trajectory remains unexplained.
Harvard physicist Avi Loeb has pointed out that astronomers have yet to find sufficient evidence of gas emissions from the object, which would typically indicate a cometary nature. “If 3I/ATLAS is not enshrouded in a much more massive gas cloud after perihelion than it had in the months preceding perihelion, then its recent non-gravitational acceleration must have resulted from a different cause than cometary evaporation,” Loeb stated.
The object has exhibited unusual characteristics, including turning blue as it approached the sun, rather than red like typical comets. It also has a massive estimated weight of 33 billion tons, with a composition of nickel and carbon dioxide, unlike the ice and water found in comets formed in our solar system. These anomalies have led some, including Loeb, to theorize that it could be a nuclear-powered ‘mothership’ created by an alien intelligence.
NASA’s latest data shows that the mysterious push on 3I/ATLAS weakened after it passed perihelion, yet it remains detectable. The James Webb Space Telescope is set to observe the object in December to search for any gas cloud that could explain its movements. However, Loeb and others continue to question whether the object’s behavior and composition might point to a non-natural origin.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Very good, New York, I’ll see you again someday.” – Gustavo Petro
🎯IMPACT: Petro’s actions highlight his antagonism toward the Trump administration, which has intensified since the U.S. military began striking drug-trafficking boats near the Colombian coast.
IN FULL
Colombia’s far-left President Gustavo Petro, recently sanctioned by the U.S., hailed the victory of far-left Zohran Mamdani in New York City’s mayoral race. Petro posted video footage from a September encounter with Mamdani at the United Nations General Assembly’s 80th session. “Very good, New York, I’ll see you again someday,” the Marxist wrote, likely in reference to the fact that his U.S. visa has been pulled for urging American troops to defy orders from President Donald J. Trump.
In October, the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) slapped sanctions on Petro, accusing him of aiding the global spread of illegal narcotics. Cocaine output has spiked under his watch, and he has pushed for legalization, arguing it’s “less harmful” than sugar. His son, Nicolas Petro Burgos, is accused of channeling drug funds into his campaign. The First Lady and the Interior Minister also drew OFAC penalties.
Undeterred, Petro has insisted he will head back to New York in January for a United Nations speech, “even if the federal government does not want to receive me there.” Lately, Petro’s barbs at the U.S. have intensified, demanding President Trump’s arrest and suggesting someone should “get rid of” him.
Petro is fiercely opposed to Trump’s military strikes on drug-trafficking narco-terrorists in South America. These initially focused on targets near Venezuela, but have since expanded to waters off Colombia.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Texas voters, Governor Greg Abbott (R), and state legislators.
📍WHEN & WHERE: The vote took place in Texas during the most recent election period.
💬KEY QUOTE: “It is now in our Constitution that only U.S. citizens can vote in Texas elections,” said Governor Abbott.
🎯IMPACT: The amendment reinforces existing state and federal laws barring non-citizens from voting.
IN FULL
Texas voters have overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment that explicitly bans non-U.S. citizens from voting in state elections. The proposal, linked to Senate Joint Resolution 37, passed with nearly 72 percent support, according to unofficial results. The measure adds language to the state constitution stating that “persons who are not citizens of the United States” are among those prohibited from voting in Texas elections.
Texas law already requires U.S. citizenship to register to vote, and federal law bars non-citizens from voting in federal contests, including presidential and congressional races. However, supporters of the amendment said the change ensures the restriction is permanently enshrined in the state’s highest legal document. Governor Greg Abbott (R) celebrated the outcome on X, writing, “It is now in our Constitution that only U.S. citizens can vote in Texas elections.”
The amendment’s passage comes amid heightened scrutiny of voter eligibility across the state. In recent years, Texas officials have taken a series of steps to tighten election security and remove ineligible voters from state rolls. In 2024, the state reported removing roughly one million ineligible names from the voter database, including more than 6,500 flagged as non-citizens. State officials have also referred dozens of alleged cases of non-citizen voting from the 2024 general election to the Texas Attorney General’s office for further investigation.
These actions follow a broader national debate over election integrity and the extent to which non-citizen voting may occur in local or state elections. Supporters of the amendment argue that clear constitutional language helps prevent future confusion and strengthens public trust in elections.
The Texas initiative aligns with a broader push in several Republican-led states to reaffirm or expand constitutional prohibitions on non-citizen voting. Lawmakers and advocacy groups in states including Florida, Ohio, and Wisconsin have advanced similar proposals in recent years.
Texas has also drawn attention for its efforts to maintain clean voter rolls. State election officials have cited data-sharing programs and verification systems designed to identify and remove ineligible voters.
