A 34-year-old migrant-background man who stabbed two young girls in a Berlin school playground has had his case thrown out by the German legal system on the grounds that he is mentally unwell and cannot be held responsible for nearly murdering two children aged seven and eight.
Berhan S. was allegedly in a “psychotic state at the time of the crime due to a mental illness,” according to the Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office, which argued he was “incapable of guilt.”
The prosecutor’s office further stated that he apparently heard “voices that ordered him to kill the girls” before he scaled a fence and stabbed two young girls in the neck and chest while the other children “looked on in horror.” Fortunately, neither of the girls died, though both suffered life-changing injuries.
Berhan S. has also had a long criminal history, including stabbing his former girlfriend in 2009. The former girlfriend’s mother told the media that he came from a “strictly Islamic Turkish family” that threatened to murder her if she went to the police.
“Many questions remain unanswered: Was Berhan S. observed by the police? What role does his religious indoctrination play? Why did he hear his voices in front of a Christian school?” States the German writer, Gunnar Schupelius.

Former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani has listed his Upper East Side apartment for sale at a price of $6.5 million. The prewar apartment features high ceilings, hardwood floors, and an inviting layout. The dining room is described as ideal for peaceful meals, and pets are welcome in the co-op building.
Giuliani’s lawyer, Adam Katz, presented the listing as evidence of his client’s financial struggles during a court hearing earlier this month, where Giuliani is being sued by Smartmatic and Fox News over false claims of election fraud. Giuliani has faced multiple legal issues recently, including surrendering to authorities in an Atlanta jail in connection with the racketeering case against former President Donald J. Trump.

American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp allegedly attempted to settle a lawsuit accusing him of sexual battery and defamation, according to The Daily Beast. Multiple sources claimed that Schlapp proposed a settlement offer “in the low six figures” to resolve the lawsuit brought against him and his wife by Republican strategist Carlton Huffman. However, Huffman reportedly rejected the offer and countered with a significantly higher sum, which Schlapp turned down.
Huffman’s lawsuit seeks $9.4 million in damages. Schlapp has denied Huffman’s allegations, but separate claims have surfaced involving unwanted advances toward others in recent years. Publicist Mark Corallo, representing the Schlapp family, denied any settlement offers and emphasized their readiness for trial, expressing confidence in their ability to prevail in court.
The settlement report has sparked discussions about Schlapp’s transparency and how the American Conservative Union (ACU) has handled the accusations against him. Questions have also been raised about the organization’s financial practices. These concerns gained more attention when Charlie Gerow, the vice chairman of the ACU’s board, resigned emphasizing the need for further investigation into the Schlapp accusations and the ACU’s financial situation.

An “Arab bakery” in San Francisco, California has declared a policy of not serving anyone who is armed – including police officers.
Reem’s California turned away a policeman who was in uniform, prompting the San Francisco Police Officers Association to post on social media that Reem’s has a “bigoted policy” of “NO COPS ALLOWED”.
The bakery chain later issued a statement on Instagram, saying that their policy is aimed at creating a safe space: “In a time of increasing gun violence – particularly impacting people of color, youth, and queer people – we believe that maintaining a strict policy of prohibiting guns in our restaurant keeps us safer,” they wrote.
“At Reem’s, we aim to provide a space where people can eat delicious Arab food and work together to strengthen our community, without fear of violence or harassment.”
The bakery is currently closed, but says it “can”t wait to reopen our doors very soon and provide the sanctuary space you all deserve.”

Two budget amendments introduced by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) aim to push the two federal and two state prosecutions of former President Donald Trump until after the 2024 presidential election. Clyde says he plans to amend the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies 2024 appropriations bill with language that would “…prohibit the use of federal funding for the prosecution of any major presidential candidate prior to the upcoming presidential election on November 5th, 2024.”
The Georgia Congressman called the four pending prosecutions of Trump “sham indictments”, adding they are “… intended to smear and take down President Trump, as well as hinder his ability to campaign effectively.” Clyde stated that, “One amendment would prevent taxpayer dollars from funding federal prosecutions, while a second would prohibit funding for state prosecutions.”
U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has set a trial date for President Trump's sham J6 related prosecution for March 4, 2024.
This is ONE DAY before Super Tuesday.
We must DEFUND this blatant election interference.
The upcoming Fall appropriations process will include 12 ‘must pass’ budget bills necessary for funding the functions of the U.S. federal government. Some members of the House Republican Conference view the budget appropriations process as an opportunity to secure the passage of legislative agenda items that would otherwise not pass as stand alone legislation.
Last week the House Freedom Caucus announced their list of demands for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to include in a government funding stop-gap measure when Congress resumes its legislative session after Labor Day. The legislative items include further reductions in federal spending levels, a House Republican border security bill that would fund border wall construction and place additional limits on asylum seekers, and a vague ask to address the weaponization of the DOJ.
The stop-gap funding bill, in the form of a Continuing Resolution, will be needed to fund the government as Congress is unlikely to pass the twelve appropriations bills to fund the government before the start of the new fiscal year on October 1st.

Neoconservative Bill Kristol’s Republican Accountability Project has launched a six-figure ad campaign against former President Donald Trump with a 60-second ad spot running on Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News in the Phoenix, Milwaukee, and Atlanta media markets. The ‘NeverTrump’ group has also purchased a ‘virtual’ billboard in New York City’s Times Square featuring the former President’s mugshot and a list of the charges filed against him in the four separate federal and state prosecutions.
Gunner Ramer, political director of Republican Accountability Project said the purpose of the ad campaign was to “…[remind] the American people that no one in this country is above the law—not even a former president.”
The 60-second ad spot features a voice-over stating: “When Donald Trump was president, he thought it didn’t matter how many laws and norms he broke … Many of us even started saying ‘nothing matters’ … But in America the rule of law still matters. And that’s why Donald Trump has been charged with 91 felonies in four separate cases … This is America, and no one is above the law.”
The anti-Trump ad campaign is just the latest political stunt by Kristol and his associate Sarah Longwell.
The National Pulse previously reported that the two have also launched an advocacy group to push for further U.S. involvement in support of Ukraine in their war with Russia. The organization, Republicans for Ukraine, will use an initial $2 million budget to target Republican voters and lawmakers with a pro-war message in an attempt to revive flagging Republican support for additional military aid for the Eastern European nation.

Anthony Stevens, a UK politician, was arrested in front of his wife and children and held in prison for nine hours after a local left-wing opponent reported him to the police… for criticizing the police.
Stevens had posted his critiques of the handling of another high-profile persecution of a Christian – King Lawal – before he himself was arrested on the spurious grounds of “stirring up racial hatred”.
The British police interrogated Stevens over his public support of Lawal, a former Conservative Party local politician until his own party suspended him for arguing, “Pride is not a virtue but a sin.” Stevens shared the story on X (formerly Twitter) with the comment, “If you value free speech please sign [a petition] and share.”
“The accusation of racial hatred is ridiculous and insulting. My only crime has been supporting the only black local councilor in Northamptonshire,” Stevens argued following his arrest.
“In a true democratic society, you cannot have people being arrested for a few tweets. We must have debate, we must have the freedom to criticise and offend each other, otherwise this country is going to swiftly go to pot,” he added.

Republican presidential candidate and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy received a cease and desist letter from rapper Eminem, who is demanding that Ramaswamy stop performing his songs on the campaign trail.
Acting through his music’s license holder, BMI, Eminem informed Ramaswamy campaign lawyers that he is “…objecting to the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign’s use of [his] musical compositions (the “Eminem Works”) and requesting that BMI remove all Eminem Works from the Agreement.”
Ramaswamy, a 2024 candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, made a media splash when he performed Eminem’s hit song “Lose Yourself” during an event at the Iowa State Fair hosted by Governor Kim Reynolds.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is no stranger to legal controversies over his nearly 30-year career. In June of 2000 the rapper was slapped with weapons charges after pulling an unloaded gun on an employee of the rival music group, Insane Clown Posse. In July of 2000 he was sued by his now ex-wife Kimberly ‘Kim’ Anne Scott for defamation after he graphically described her attempted suicide in the song entitled “Kim.”
The United States Secret Service has twiceinvestigated Eminem for threatening Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump in his music. In 2016, the rapper released a free-style rap entitled “Campaign Speech” that was highly critical of Donald Trump and in 2020 he authorized the Biden campaign to use “Lose Yourself” – the same song performed by Ramaswamy in Iowa – in a campaign video.
Eminem was once known for railing against the establishment, and censoriousness. That, however, was twenty years and several hundred million dollars ago.
