Fox and Univision swerved even further to the left last night, with the network pushing the idea of implementing a mass amnesty for illegal aliens and finding a “solution” for so-called “Dreamers” at the latest GOP primary debate.
Moderator Ilia Calderón, a foreign journalist, introduced a truncated clip of Ronald Reagan talking about an amnesty for illegal aliens in 1984, ultimately extended to some three million migrants three years later.
Addressing Chris Christie specifically, the Colombian noted he had supported a so-called “path to citizenship” for illegal aliens as Governor of New Jersey, only to change his position during his failed presidential run in 2016. “Where do you stand now on a path to citizenship on 11 million of undocumented immigrants [sic]?” she asked.
The segment confirmed news Fox was attempting to “shift candidates to the left” on immigration first broken by The National Pulse editor-in-chief, who warned conservatives the network intended to try and use old footage of Ronald Reagan to bolster its pro-amnesty agenda.
Sources tell me that Fox News intends to play pro-amnesty Reagan videos tonight at the Republican debate, attempting to shift candidates to the left – where Fox is moving – on the topic of immigration.

While Christie dodged the question, Calderón was back to pushing similar talking points later in the debate, insisting that Dreamers – illegal aliens brought to the United States as youths and granted status under Barack Obama’s unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy – “work and pay taxes”, and asking Mike Pence if he would “work with Congress to reach a permanent solution for Dreamers.”
Like Christie, Pence did not answer the question, resorting to vague platitudes about “our broken immigration system” before moving on to irrelevant commentary on China and spending levels in Florida under Ron DeSantis.
